Click Important role on started class right away 2. New to Origami? Tips on Paper: origami figures can be done with many different papers. We can recycle just about any kind of paper to use for falling. Office paper can be used for many simple origami figures. Also, there is a paper commercially available that comes inconvenient, colorful squares. This is known as coming paper. It usually comes in packets like this with many colors. I need measures six by six inches or 15 by 15 centimeters. Most popular papers are solid color on one side on white on the other, and also there are many available patterns. They can be found online. You can do a search for origami paper, Comey paper on. In the United States, they can be found many corrupt supply stores. When you are learning new origami models, it is best to use solid color papers so that it is easier to see the falls on the guy lines . In addition to Comey paper, we can use any other paper that we can find, for example, wrapping paper, and we can cut it toe any size we want. What we went toe keep in mind is that the paper Berries on firm so that you can take falls nicely. So let's fault on paper now 3. You Need this for the Quilt Star: This is the paper we need to make the star three squares off, one color on two squares off a contrasting call for best effect. The color should be different on the other side. These two squares will be for the points. We will be cutting them in half so that we end up with four rectangles. We cut here. This lets square will be used to make two inserts. They are optional. We were carried in forts and used to forts. We can save this to for another project and we'll be using these two With each one of these papers, we will fold a white color windmill base and this is optional for the center. With these two papers, we will fold to smaller basis. I will demonstrate how to make the windmill base. If you know how to make this place go ahead, make the bigger pieces on as an option to smaller pieces. With these, we will make the points which I will demonstrate as well. Then we will have these pieces to put together the star For the center of a star. You will be shown two options 4. Windmill Base, WInd Mill & Greeting card Ideas: If we have paper off a different color brownish site, we can make a base off either one off those colors. Wife or abuse. In this case, if we want for the blue base, we begin by position The paper with the white side up. We went the white base. We begin by position in the paper with the color side up. I'm going to go ahead. Um, for that white base for this demonstration. I'm using a paper seven by seven inches, 18 by 18 centimeters. So we're going to falling. Half relieved the two ages together. Crease, I pulled rotate Andi folding half again. Um four. Bring the lower edge to the center and make 1/4 alone here. Brocade on. Repeat, I'm fold. Rotate the site and we're going to repeat along here. Four. These are valuables. If we look at the paper sideways, we can see it. A slight V shape and then on the side. Those folds are Valley Falls. When we turned the paper over the same false we review us mountain falls. If you see Cy Waits, it looks like a mountain. The next false will be known on the white side of the paper and we're going to We fall in each one of these corners to the center. I'm making diagonal falls along here from the center point to the center point when all four corners off the paper are brought to the center, we have what is known as blends base and then we, um, forth so under papered over oriented so that this looks like this maker square. And then we're going to press tried these four points where we see this inner central square. Try that the corners of that send it a square. We press at the center, on the sides and when the paper has his concomitant e, then we're going to press here from the sites. Bring those two points to the center with our thumbs we praise from here these corners on a flat rotates on taking Priss flat. Now we will make a color base, which is exactly the same. But we begin with the white side facing up. We Tony over at this point, we can sharpen decreases with our finger nail or with a little tool. And this is the windmill base. This is a place to make a windmill which is made by a plane. A few more sports. The windmill is a traditional origami figure. Insert your index finger inside each corner, press out on flat. This is an idea for greeting cards made using the windmill. 5. How to Make the Points: This is how to make the point of the star. We will do that with these pieces of paper for the demonstration. I use a larger piece of paper. Begin with the light colored facing up 20 vertically on. Bring one each too much they order on, make a central fault. I'll fold rotated Now we will make a central fold along here, bringing both ages together. What state? We're goingto bring this edge. So the little lines with a vertical fault. Repeat on this side. Rotate on. Repeat rotates on the disposition like these. Now we're going toe. Make a fault that comes from this point to this point, this edge will match this vertical fault. Repeat here. Rotate and repeat here on here. Along here we have a valley fault. We're going to reverse the section. So that is a mountain for now we hold at the center and we press here so that we joined these two flaps embrace here so that we do the same. Pick it up on these two flaps will go down. This is the unit that makes the points of the star. I will make it once more with a blue piece of paper. - So these are finished on. Eventually, this will be taps that we call into these packets, but before then, we're going to finish these. 6. Finishing the Central Unit: So this is for their central part. We're going to be falling out each one of these corners so that it looks like this. We bring this corner toward this outer corner, but we're going to leave an area here. A frame. We can make it very narrow by bringing this point very close to these are we can make it a little bit wider. That is up to you. We rotate on. Repeat. We link the corner out on we much. At this point, these two points have to be on the same line. We do our best to make them much, but they don't much perfectly. It's OK, we're going to bring this corner toe these center we fall so that this is part of tothis notice that this point is a little higher than the center. We bring this point to meet this rotate on, repeat these corners much here we do the same with your corners. Now we take each one of these flaps on for lead to the back so we reverse this fault. Then we reverse seven more flaps. We're going to bring each one of these points out toward the edge When we fault from here to here Business as far as it can go. What dates on Repeat with the oil. Three points. We're going to take each one of those flaps on for lead toward the back. So that would be burst that for that, we just made fall carefully on the same crease and unfold Paris market Unfortunates on. We do the same with the oil too. We are free falling here. We will come back on. Report them later. Repeat this steps with the other central piece. 7. Assembly: we can go ahead and assemble them like these, and then we can make a central unit. I said option with a folded insert. The finished star looks like this. Another option at this point is that we can Lei Li pull this out and insert any picture that we show at the center. This is an example off a picture insert. So this is how we put this together. We take these two units some place him back to back. Each one of them has have packet here. Same on the back on each one of these units has attacked 12 So we're going toe. Insert those taps into this pockets. Notice that the points match once they're matching them, we hold tight and fault all layers of paper to the back. We follow a fall that we already have their same on the back. These locks units together. We're going to the same for here. - This is the basic stuff. Now we can add a central insert toe, enhance it 8. Central Insert (Optional): So now I will show how to make this central insert. We have a way to win me base. Now we're going to add some faults. I will demonstrate on a bigger piece of paper. Fold this flap a little bit so that we make a pinch mark right at the center. Same here. Here. I'm here. We're going to bring this corner so that it touches the center increase. We bring these to meet that corner and we repeat a route. This should be parallel to this. This to be parallel to this unfold. No. We're going to bring this inner edge too much. The fold that we just may on we begin right here. Same here. The inner edge. Much is the fall that we just made unfold. And now we're going to make a full the connect this point to this point. These two points we're going to there were finger under me here on open Plus, we open this, it has come up, we're going to flat in them and we're going to repeat the end of each Our lines here, the inner edge allies here I'm fold connect flat. - We make to smaller units in this manner. The unit is ready to be insert. Align the edge off the unit with the edge off the sentence square. Rotate the insert 45 degrees considered each corner. Waas your finish on this side. You repeat the process on the other side. 9. Enhancing Ideas to Display the Star: here We have one different insert on each side. We can leave the start blood ladies, which is suitable for mailing flat in an ambulance using paper with a Mandela pattern for the central piece we re sold in a star. Ladies on. This is how we can make this star more really Mentioner Insert your index finger, impress the pull the fish so you flatten it a little bit. Then you call the point out You can use a pencil to facilitate the process. And this is how I added some threat toe. Hang it up. 10.
