Project Description

In this class, we’ll be making a customizable stamp that can be 3D-printed.

Before getting started, think about what design you’ll want on your stamp. Do you want a stamp that has...

  • your own logo?
  • a custom pattern?
  • a favorite quote?

When creating your design, make sure you create it in a vector-based program such as Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape. This will allow you to export the file as an SVG. Share your custom SVG image in the “class project” tab on this course. If you’d like to use the SVG file that I use in this course, then be sure to download it from the community tab, where I’ve also linked to an article that further describes the SVG file type.

  1. Share your design in the project gallery before watching the first video.
  2. Set up software Fusion 360 (Mac and Windows) and post on the discussion forum if you need help.
  3. Make the stamp plate - Share a screenshot of your model
  4. Make the Stamp handle
  5. Export your model for printing
  6. 3D print your design! - Share a picture of your printed out design
