About This Class
Make your own postcard art to mail or frame.
This class covers how to make postcard art using simple tools and techniques that anyone can do, including a packing tape image transfer (awesome, right?!). The project uses materials you likely have on hand: packing tape, magazine pages, collage papers (old book pages, decorative papers, etc), scissors, bowl of warm water, parchment or waxed paper, postcard size (4 ½” x 6”) cardstock or a blank postcard, glue stick, fun decorative tape, colorful office labels or dots, butter knife (or bone folder, if you’re fancy like that); gather your materials, hit play, and let’s get started!
You love to send notes in the mail and make art for your walls. Maybe you even love to put your art in pop-up galleries and shops, sell it online, or give it away to friends and family.
In this project, you’ll learn create your own mailable works of art. You'll also get a quick overview of the history of the postal art movement.
Watch the videos and I’ll walk you through each step of the process sharing lots of helpful tips and ideas as we go.
Be sure to share your postcard art in the class project gallery. I can’t wait to see what you create!
