About This Class

894eba71

Learn to create a six page book, which can range from the incredibly simple to gorgeously elaborate, using only one sheet of paper. This class teaches a folding and cutting technique used to make quick and easy books and helps brainstorm new ways to look at visual narrative and the art of picture books.

Just looking at the initial folding instructions, I'm coming up with ideas. Elizabeth is a great teacher with a simple yet inspiring concept!
This is a lot of fun, thank you. It's the first time I've seen the inner "pages" used this way
The presentation was very good and the ideas excellent. The only suggestion I would make would be to practice projecting the voice a little more--she has a very pleasant, but soft speaking manner. I would definitely take another book making class from Elizabeth Blue.

Illustrator, Comic Artist, Arts Educator

I am an Illustrator, Comic Artist and Arts Educator living and working in Eugene, Oregon.

Before moving to Oregon, I studied Illustration at the Edinburgh College of Art and then Illustration: Authorial Practice at the University College Falmouth, in England for my MA.
I love all facets of illustration, visual storytelling and the making of picture-books and am thrilled to find more avenues to both teach and learn more about my practice.
