Kari Owens is a writer, holistic nutrition coach, speaker, and intuitive soul explorer whose perspective on life changed dramatically at the age of fifteen after being diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. She is the face behind the popular wellness website which connects people to the roots of whole food cooking and the depths of their inner most vulnerability.

Kari has worked in advocacy roles in the disability and wellness arena with University’s and the Arthritis foundation. Her infectious approach to life spreads through all of her work she’s involved in. Through working with Kari people begin to realize they can live fully from their heart’s desires instead of by definition of a disease. Kari is passionate about writing and speaking on topics concerning identity through disability, lifestyle choices and the power of vulnerability.

Her greatest loves in life are traveling, practicing yoga and being in the company of other people. You’ll likely find her playing with food in the kitchen or writing in a café in her current home city Seattle, Washington.
