About This Class

When I was working at Photojojo, we put a looooot of time and thought into our product photography. There are tons of questions we think about leading up to a shoot - Who are the people who would like this product and what would they care about? What's really cool about this product and how do we show it off? How can we visually show how to use this product using just photos?

I'm Kim, previously the lead product photographer at Photojojo. I thought about all of this stuff, every day, to make sure they were getting the most awesome product photos ever. In this class, I'll show you the secrets behind taking great photos that bring the best out in your product, your models, and your photoshoots as a whole.

Come ready to learn how to take amazing photos, plus learn the essentials to setting up a product shoot, from lighting, to models, and more.

What we'll cover in this class:

- The ins and outs of planning a product shoot
- How to light a product and make it pop
- Helpful gear you'll want to get the job done
- Editing tricks in Lightroom and Photoshop

Who this class is for:

Anyone wanting to improve their product photography skillz! This would be good for bloggers, Etsy crafters, business or restaurant owners, or aspiring product/lifestyle photographers.

Prerequisites:

To get the most out of this class, you should have a DSLR and basic knowledge of how to use it. If you wanna use other cameras such as iPhones, go for it - just know that I've based this course around using a DSLR. (Not sure what a DSLR is? Google it!)

Once we're done, you'll be on your way to photographing products like there's no tomorrow.

Kim Thomas

Photographer at Photojojo

Hey there! I'm Kim Thomas, previously the lead product photographer at Photojojo.

I'm entirely self taught and crazy about photography. I'm constantly finding ways to push my photography to the next level and learn more about this beautiful art. For me, photography is a gift, a present, something I think everyone should have access to. I love being able to share the knowledge I learn with others in hopes for photography to fulfill them the way it has me.

I'm all over the interwebz, so come find me!
