1. Welcome to Class: Hi, everyone. This is Lee Severance check. Author of the Charlie, the Cavalier Book Series Ah, 100 other books and blogger. And today I'm going to show you how I use male trip Teoh, get email addresses and to send out emails to my followers. So I currently have about 500 subscribers and I would just like to show you how I got started, how I keep it up and how I currently send out emails monthly. So please and role in this class and we will get started. Great. 2. Class Success Tips: Hi, students. Thank you for enrolling in this class. I want to show you a way that it will help you succeed and learn from this class. And it is to keep notes in Project section. So please go over to your project and then click there and start. Um, click on your project. And this is where you can start adding information for your project so you can put in a title. This could be the title of the class or your name. Then start putting information into the project workspace. Now, this could be anything from images. But also you can enter text too. And this will be really helpful for other students to see what they learn in this class. It will help others do and see this class. And it will give me feedback to know what Teoh bring to you next to for students. So, um, please click on the your project section and I leave me your feedback. Thank you. 3. Creating Lists: Okay, Class. The first thing you will need to do is create a matchup account just like entering your user name and password. Then you will be able to create lists. So here you can see I have different lists as I try to get different subscribers in different ways. So here you will be able to see all the list they currently have. Now, though, when I have the most of his 50 things in our books and you may ask, how do I get the people to join these lists? Well, the first thing I do is I have many books on Amazon here, For example, you will see the 50 things to know books that are currently on Amazon. And every one of these books has a link to join my man list. So, for example, 50 things to know about getting free stuff to review. I just did a class on this if you're interested. And, um, if you scroll down here, you will see if people don't even purchase the book, they can go to my mailing list here. It will go to the list where they can enter their email address first and last name if they want, they could just enter their email addresses the only required field. And I work what I suggest only having one or fired field. I honestly don't use them. You the first name and last name, so you can do it that way. So that is one way. And this is embedded into my 50 things to note website. So people can also click mailing list right here and get into the mailing list. And also, I have a on the side bar. They can enter their email address here to be entered into the mailing list. So do you create the link to that list? First, you what you'll do is create a list and then you'll click on Sign. It forms here. So this is where you can embed the form. That's like you saw there. Ah, pop up. That could be a pop up on what site? Or, um, you can integrate it, for example, you can integrate in the Facebook or different ways, so the first thing you don't want to do on male trip is create a list and I recommend possibly creating separate lists because that will be helpful. So I have a few different businesses. Um, so for example, I have Charlie, the Cavalier book series also, And that, um, also collects email addresses from a different website. As you can see here, um, and you can also see the open rate click rate, which is very helpful for male ship. So again, the first thing you want to do is create a list. 4. Creating Emails: all right, you've collected those email addresses from your website from your books just by adding people if you'd like and next you want to create campaign A campaign is where the actual email that you will send out to people. So the easiest way to start a campaign is just like live in Crete campaign, and you can choose regular campaign. I'll discuss your quickly and show you the settings I normally do. You'll choose the list of people, and the cool thing is, you can also choose a subset of the list. So, for example, I, um at a different time made a segment, and you can make segments based on different ways. So, for example, that the date added is after the last campaign, or you can choose the different things Campaign activity was opened any of the last five campaign. So this is a cool way Teoh not send it to the whole list, but certain parts the list when you don't think you have that information. But male Trump has actually saved it for you. But for this example under, send it to the entire list. You click next, over here, all the different things are done here. So recipients, set up template design. Confirm. All right, you'll have to give it a name. E mail Subject a friend. Name your email address. Now, I'm sending it from Gmail. And you should, um, most likely send it from your website. So if I I actually have my, um where press website set up on go Daddy and they have a male client there. That would be it would say, 50 things, like info at 50 things. You know dot com instead of my current email address. But this is the one that I used that I have to acknowledge the risk when I use motion, and then I just go with all these other settings. That's fine. And this is where you start to build your, um, email that you're gonna send out. Now, I just use the easiest 11 column, but you could see there's other options, but let's just use this one, okay? This is where you go. Start creating the content for your email that you will send out to people. So use this area for a short preview of your content. You could do that up here, then you can drop in image there if you'd like. So, um, or browse our click browse. And here you can see the images. You can upload images if you want. So for example, I have a logo with the heart and I will. Sorry, the local with the heart has already been uploaded, so I will select it. So you see it here. And this is where you can start writing your information over here. So all you need to do is press the edit and start typing and retyping this information the next part down. You can see where you can add your social media links. If you edit this, you'll have to put in your Twitter information. And after you do this one time, you can create a template so you don't have to do it again. Facebook Website. Other informations of email There's lots of different things that you can add here and you keep keep going so you can add I personally only like to add one thing because you want to direct them to one specific thing. They want to do it in the mail. If I had too much, then they want to do too much So that is what I normally don't do, and then you'll just see some information that it will add to the bottom down here. Um, next, you can click on previewing test so you can see what it looks like in different ways. Eso Here, you can see what it looks like on desktop what it looks like on a mobile phone. And when it looks like in someone's inbox, all right. And then the final thing you do is confirm that you're going to send it and what it looks like. And since this is just a trial, I'm not gonna show you what it looks like. But I will tell you one that I recently sent out today I had a discount for one of my books of 73% off. So and you can see that Senate 650 people, 47 people in it, and only two people click so that click rate is not very good. So I'm going Teoh, just show you what this one looks like. Do you email? I decided to put the picture up here, and I have one like to go to purchase the book for the discounted price. I have the description of the book here and then a buy now button. So this goes to the same thing. I also have an instagram link, and people can share it on Facebook, Twitter or an email. So this is what a basic male trip email looks like when it gets sent out. I can also then decide to share this in different ways. So on Facebook, Twitter and Google in which I normally do, I didn't share of this on Google today and late shirt on the attitudes, so I already have it logged in. So, um, I can add some more comments here, and I'll just share it publicly on my Google account. I'll share to Twitter, and if with my log in information and finally to Facebook, I prefer to share it on my Facebook page and not, um, and not this way. So also, you couldn't have a link to this in which people can then look at past this year's and see different information that I sent out in the past, um, with the same list 5. Reports: Hey there, Class. Lastly, I'm going to show you what reports look like after you send out the email so you can see a little bit of the report here. Um, so let's look at the one I sent out today. How many? Subscriber, How many opens having clicks. Let's look at the one with three clicks and we'll click view report so you can actually see some reporting data after you send out these emails to people. And, um, I have the free version, so I don't have any orders directly through. Imagine. But you can see the open rate click rate, and you can see what the averages for education or the industry that you truth when he said it up. So it looks pretty good for the industry for this information again, we're seeing it was open 12 times, clicked on three times and one bounce rate. That means what Nemo came back and wasn't currently sent to the email address that someone set up. Um, so it was delivered to most people. This is the opens, the number of clicks, and you can actually see who clicked on it, which is helpful if you want Teoh decide to send out another email based on the clicks on and where they click. So 50% of people click here and 50 cent percent click here out and look, someone sent it, tried to send it through social media No one click coming Instagram link. So it's kind of neat to see that you can also see when I when I sent it out and when people started to click on it, which I think is interesting and when the people started to open it based on the clicks, you can also see where they are, who opened it and where they're from. All right, now let's look at another campaign that has a report of more opens so you can see certain ones somewhere opens and then you try and reproduce the results so you can see there is a much higher open and click right here. And this was for a free book. I sent it out at 11 and then there was 14 opens at 12. So 12 of a good time for me to send out these emails. You can also see what links were clicked on the most where those people were from and it's just really nice on deciding future what I will do in the future again. You could see the links and what links people clicked on here and then if they shared it socially, and it looks like no one has. All right, so that's basically what reports look like in, um 6.
