Lovely Lantern Large Component ~ Pendant and Bracelet Focal Tutorial

Class Description:

In this class, I will demonstrate how to create a Bezel Component for an 12 mm Swarovski Crystal Rivoli using three types of 2-hole Czech beads and Japanese seed beads. This is an easy to do project which will be used as the base component for a Pendant and Bracelet Focal

You may change the colors of your beads but not the bead sizes due to the nature of the project.

Project Description:

The project goal for this class is to create 1 or 2 of the components and completing at least one of the finished pieces, the Pendant or Bracelet Focal.

Once you have created your components, upload a picture of them to the gallery. 

Materials and Tools

Materials List - Lovely Lantern Component

  • 1 – 12 mm Swarovski Rivoli (Fuchsia)
  • 4 – 3 x 10 mm CzechMates 2 hole Crescent Beads (Iris Bronze Metallic Matte – Green color)
  • 2 – 2.5 x 5 mm Superduo Beads
  • 4 – 5 mm Miyuki Tila Beads (Opaque Rose Luster)
  • 10 – 11/0 Miyuki Delica Beads (Silver Lined Mistletoe – Duracoat)
  • 1 – 2 grams – 11/0 Toho seed beads (Silver Lined Dark Amethyst)
  • 1-2 grams 15/0 Toho seed beads (Galvanized Pink Lilac)
  • 1 gram 15/0 Toho seed beads (Matte Transparent Light Amethyst)
  • 2 feet Crystal Fireline – 6 lb. test
  • Size 11 or smaller Beading Needle

 *Additional Materials–for Pendant –

  • 4 Rose Gold Jump Rings
  • Rose Gold Chain – Split into 2 equal lengths
  • Rose Gold Lobster Claw
  • 4 -11/0 Delicas
  • 1 Superduo
  • 1 Fuchsia Bicone- Size 6 mm (Swarovski)
  • 2 feet Fireline
  • Additional Materials-for Focal
  • 4-11/0 Delicas
  • Band of your choosing
  • A Square Stitch Band matching the ring Band would work nicely. A narrow band 8 beads wide and attached to the 8 center beads of each side loop of the component.
  • *Tools: Needle nose or chain nose pliers, Thread Burner or Scissors
