Project Description

Increase Sales Leads in Less Than 5 Minutes on LinkedIn

Building brand reputation and driving website traffic to products and services is easily accomplished using one of the most under-rated business marketing tools online - LinkedIn.com. Our class assignment, once course is complete,is for students to optimize key areas of their LinkedIn profile to immediately increase connections and drive business results.

We'd like students to complete the following assignment:

1. Go to LinkedIn.com

    a. Once logged in - go to 'profile' > edit profile

    b. Use business descriptive keyord in the 'title' area (area immediately under your name)

Hint:

Instead of using (for example) your company name, describe your company in ways people search. If a Hair Salon, you might use a keyword phrase such as 'Hair Salon: Barbara's Hair Syling Inc.'

2. Go to Employment - Company description area (Directly under 'title' area)

    a. Incorporate other industry descriptive keywords into your business-employment title

    b. 'Save' changes

These simple changes in the header area of your LinkedIn profile will quickly increase your onsite search rankings, brand visibility and industry connections.

Once this assignment is complete, take a 'screen-shot' of the changes and upload the image to this classroom for feedback and discussion.
