Hello my name is Simon, I am here to share my passion for cooking with you.

I have learned how to cook from my mother and grandmother and I have gathered through the years lots and lots of traditional Lebanese family recipes and gained precious experience and knowledge in the culinary arts and especially in Lebanese, Levantine and Middle Eastern cuisine that I would like to share.  

In this class I will teach you how to cook the best Lebanese and Mediterranean savory dishes and desserts. 

We all know that cooking - especially  foreign or exotic dishes - can be quite challenging and time consuming. furthermore, a lot of recipes can look complicated and daunting to beginners.

this is why my aim in this class is to teach a simple and time efficient way of cooking so that even the least experienced cooks can achieve succulent results.

Simon is an attorney-at-law with a Master of Law in Private and Business Law (Banking and Capital Markets) from Saint Joseph University at the end of which he submitted a thesis relating to the international competence of the Lebanese courts in bankruptcy issues. Simon has more than 16 years' experience in Civil and Business law in general and more specifically in corporate law and contracts law.


Simon completed as well a bachelor degree in industrial psychology.

However, his true passion lies in the kitchen as a home cook, where he has gathered through the years lots and lots of traditional Lebanese family recipes and gained precious experience and knowledge in the culinary arts and especially in Lebanese, Levantine and Middle Eastern cuisine.

1. Introduction: My name is Simon on home cook with a real passion for cooking. I have gathered through the years a lot of traditional Lebanese and Mediterranean recipes for savory dishes and desserts, but I would like to share with you through this class. I'm not a professional chef. I know how to cook from my mother on my trying, so I know very well that cooking can seem difficult challenge. And too often the recipes, especially for exotic cuisines, can seem too complicated to even try. That's why my aim indeed lessons is to try and simplify things as much as possible so that even the most inexperienced cooks cannot achieve great results. As for the Lebanese food itself, it's becoming more and more famous all over the world with entrees and lips like the homos or the bubble savory dishes like the Mother of the Year, the Mafia on desserts like the connection, Lebanese cuisine uses a lot off whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruits. The most frequently used protein is bulging, but we also use red meats like lamb meat on beef on fish and seafood. Lebanese cuisine also includes copious amounts of garlic, onions, lemon juice and olive oil. You really find the recipe without some lemon juice and olive oil involved. Somehow, as you see, Lebanese cuisine is heartwarming and, if done properly, can be the best comfort food that you'll ever find. So here we go. With our first lesson, I start in a non traditional way with a dessert instead of a savory dish. I start with the Navy, which might arguably be the most famous Middle Eastern desert and definitely a people pleaser on a favorite among locals and foreigners. 2. Lesson 1- Knefe: good morning. Everyone, in our first lesson way, are going to learn how to prepare the Navy.
