1. Introduction - what you'll learn in the course: Hello and welcome to the course. Create your own Thermidor. My name is Fabula Bonnie, and I am a freelance painter and an illustrator. I currently work as a freelance artist, and I create paintings and illustrations with many techniques. In this course, you will learn how to draw a fader and how to find cute magical details to add to your door to make it special and unique. Following the simple method, you will be able to create a huge variety of different doors, finding inspiration in everyday life and in nature. You will also learn to grow algae plants to enrich your door with a natural catch. In the fifth lesson, you will also find tips about how to find a matching colors for your fairy compositions. 2. sketching the basic shapes and creating the door structure: First lesson, sketching basic shapes and creating the doors structure. First of all, trace a horizontal line, which will be the base of our favorite 0. Then draw an inverted U and a vigor you around it to trace the door frame. On top of buff shapes are the kind of arrow to make the pond to the top of the door. As you can see, method we are using conceits. I'll simplify shapes, pregnant them down in simpler ones. I don't want to make easy to overdo stem. Lean, able to discover a simple shapes in complex figures will allow you to draw even complicated subjects. And underdog border draw horizontal lines to mark spaces between the stolons which far on the door frame itself. Now you're ready to pass to the door. Inner nitrogen vertical lines inside of it. Tragic place them at a regular interval. Namely mark those wooden boards. 3. Adding fine details and textures: Second lesson, adding fine details and textures. Once you traced it, the basic shape of the door. Two is a thicker line to mark wooden boards. As you can see, you may find different kinds of woods. Some of them have a thinner structure. Would veining being less visible, and others may have wider spaces between good veins. You will draw the veining by tracing thin, light short lines. Try not to extend them from the top to the bottom of the board in order not to visually mix them with thick lines that mark each single board. Also, an interest in detail of wooden doors may be the presence of knots, but it may grow as little spirals into the wood, pleasing them here and there. In this case, tried to keep a balance, not making the wood too crowded by knots. The door's handle drawing a little circle on the right side of the door at half its height. And adding a few light pencil strokes inside its lower left side. To design a little shadow. It's now time to add horizontal bonds that keep the vertical months together. Just draw two horizontal long rectangles, one in the upper part of the door and the other one in the lower part. I always put veining you previously traced were horizontal bars overlap to vertigo watts? I'm thickness to o, it's on the boards tracing a line in each lower part of Dam on the left side. Now the word veining do horizontals boards as he did for vertical lines. The only difference is that we, as time, you write drawing horizontal lines, you look at the right inner border of the door to add thickness to the door frame, trace a line following the curve of inner right border of the dataframe, but about two or three millimeters of distance from the frame line itself. Now, you may do the same with the left outer border of the frame. As to the frames, bricks, we imagined that made of stone. Since a fairly dollar me sometime have a worn-out look, you may add little cracks on the frame systems. In third lesson, you will learn how to find an ad plans and details to your favorite dog. 4. How to design a climbing ivy plant: Third lesson, how to design an ivy plant. Fairly doors he may find in secluded a natural places such as goods thought Winter Gardens. This is why a fine detail you may add to your door. It's surely rbind or a clamp implant, such an IV. Many different varieties of ivy plants you may find in nature. I will show you how to design this kind of IV, which point it leans and usually dark green colors. You get the idea leads to isolate their basic shapes, starting drawing their inner veining. First thing to draw is the slide and slender trunk of the ID. Design it as a column line climbing up to the side of your door. Let's see the basic shape of a single leaf. I believe veining is a kind of x with shorter upper ends. After drawing it treats a longer line in the middle of the worst case between longer ends of the ax. Imagine drawing arrows on top of each end and joining them together. In order to give to the liens a natural look. Draw your arrows with roundish strokes, avoiding two straight lines. Next. We may add little x's all along this number African doing it and the outer lines to mark leaf shape. Okay. We can now add a bunch of Christ pieces, implant position more symmetrical and some grass combust door sites. 5. Creating Fairy details and refining the door: The fourth lesson, creating more query details and refining the door. And in special theory and magical details is what makes you Fareed our unique, different from any other existing fader. And what makes drawing it so amusing? Theories are often designed, were instructed socks. So it may be interesting, adding them outside the door as if a ferry wash them and hung them to dry. Finding these details may be some kinds not so easy. To gather them. You can search for reference images or refer to traditional fairy tales. Hello, you may hanging down that hosts may ring to announce themselves to the family. Leaving into house. Is I don't need to hook near the door. As an inverted U and a leader. Delete spacetime. I don't think they'll circle inside the elbow to mock the best entries, a thin rope hanging down. Reach the door. You may add a little pause hole in its upper part. To draw it, you will only have to draw two concentric circles in the inner part of the porthole to simulate stained glass. Erase would veining first, then draw more tiny circles. An extra detail to add a little thickness to its trunk. You may add texture to eat by tracing pencil strokes inside each peak. I think. Big. I am going to show you is a door mat to draw it in perspective MUX, trapezoid, but the door is feet, the thickness to demat horizontal line. It's now a site. Inside it, the fishery following the trapezoidal shape Here. Now, for a few tips to choose matching colors for your brand new. 6. Choosing the color palette for your Fairy Door: Fifth lesson, chosen the color palette for your Fareed our primary and secondary colors. Choosing which color to use for your very dark is an important task because it will affect the look of your door and the mood it can transmit to the viewer. You may choose to use a soft pastel colors to give a tranquil look. Vibrant colors to suggest excitement and happiness, or dark colors to create a mysterious atmosphere. This is why a few details about color theory may help. Colors are defined as primary when they do not come from other colors mixing. Red, blue, and yellow are a primary colors. Try to visualize a circle. You can build a color wheel by placing primary colors are the corners of an ideal triangle drawn inside the well itself. In the space between each primary color, you may find colors created mixing their nearest primary ones. Orange is a mix of yellow and red. Green is a mix of yellow and blue, and purple is a mix of red and blue. They are secondary colors. In front of each primary color on the opposite side of the wheel. Plaza. Secondary color, which is called the complimentary color of AIDS-related primary one. For example, purple is the complimentary color of yellow. Choosing complimentary couples of colors will give a strong contrast to your composition, making it very bright. For this door, I will show you how yellow and purple work well together. Whenever you are coloring, using colored pencils, watercolor paints. Okay. The wall around the stone frame I chose to color isn't a political player you, because I want the attention to be drawn at a doughnut itself. In order to keep this statement, i just a pastel green to color both the grass. Okay. Moving along the color wheel, starting from yellow, I chose a light orange to color the doormat and not a brown color. As you may think. This way, I created a simple color palette, including only a few harmoniously really did collars. Okay. Okay. And she can create whatever kind of quality like I helped previous steps. In this example, you only see a different choice of colors, dramatically different, look to the same DOD. Thank you so much for following this class. Let me know if you have any question.
