Now, judging from the last step that we did with the toe heel, you probably have expected it. We're going to merge both the double step and the triple step together into the full accounts of the box step. So again, much like in the last one, what we're going to do is we're going to do the box step with the double step and the triple step first. So we'll break it down. Here we go. So we do a basic 1st 12345678 Now do the box. Step 1234567 and eight. Now we do the double step with the box. 123 Double. 567 Double. 123 Double. 567 Double. Now we do the box step with the Triple 12 triple step in 56 triple step and one to triple step in 56 Triple step. Now we're going to do the double step first, then the triple step. Here we go. In 123 Double. 56 Triple step and 123 double. 56 Triple step and one more time and stop right here. Now we do it with the full accounts. Here we go. And 1234 and 567 and eight. And 1234 and 567 and eight. And 1234 and 567 and eight. And one more time and stop right here. So that's the double and a triple of the box step. Now we do the opposite. We do the triple step and the double with the box. Here we go. And one to triple step and 5678 n one to triple step and 567 Double. 12 Triple step and 567 Double. One more time And stop right here. Now we do the full accounts. So here we go. And 123 and four and 5678 And 123 and four and 5678 10. 123 and four. And 5678 And one more time. And stop right here. Now let's try this together with music. Here we go. 56781234567812345671 More time. Doubled under triple. And 12345678 And 123 Stop right here. 6. Footwork – Crosses: you guys. Welcome back. So now we're going to learn how to do crosses. And we have four different variations. Crossing on one, crossing on two, crossing on three and crossing on four. And I will show them to you one at a time. So this is how we're going to do it. Here we go. We'll start off with the basic step. 1234567 and eight. Now, when we do the crossing on one, we do it on the last four accounts first. So here we go. 1234 And on the 5678 On the eight count, we extend our left leg forward here ago. 5678 So now I am ready to do my one count and we cross over on the one. Here we go. 1234 And then 5678 And re repeat. 1234567 eight. And one, 234 and 56781 more time. And stop right here. So that's crossing on the one. Here's question on the too. So we'll do a basic. Here we go. 56781234 and 5678 And now he cross on to We stepped to the left on the one count, and we cross over on with the right onto we come back on three and we tap on four. Now we go under 55 Now we cross with a left on six and we go seven and tap on eight. So we go. One, 2345678 And 1234 and 5678 And one more time. And stop right here. So that's crossing on to the 3rd 1 is crossing on three and we'll do a basic first. Here we go. 5678 And 12345678 Now we get ready to cross on three. So here we go. We go one step back on to, and now we cross over on three and step on four. And now we go. Five. We step back on six, we cross over on seven and we put a fit together on eighth and repeat. 1234 and 5678 And 1234 and 5678 and one more time and stop right here. That was crossing on three. So now we have our last cross, which is crossing on four, and we'll do a basic step first. Here we go. 5678 and 1234 and 5678 Now across on four. And this is how we do it. We go one step back on to we forward on three and we cross on four and then we go on for five. We bring your foot back on six. We tapped forward on seven Emmy Cross on eighth, and we repeat this process. 1234 and 5678 And 1234 and 5678 And 1234 and 5678 And one more time. And stop right here. Now let's try this together with music. Here we go. 5678123456124671 more time. Crossing on one. Here we go. 123456 1234567123456 One time. Basic stuff. Here we go. 12345678123456781 more time. And 12345671234 Right here. I think 7. Footwork – Toe Heel Step: guys, welcome back. So the next thing we're going to learn is something called a tow. He'll step. Now, This is more of a stuffing in place. Kind of a step rather than the moving left forward or any other direction. Kind of a step. So here we go. We start off with a basic step on 1234 and 5678 And now we do the toe heel step. We do the toe heel first with a left foot, so toe, and then he'll and then step to the left and tapping on the right foot. Then we repeat this process, we step, toe, heel, and then step to the right and then tap with left. So with the count, it goes like this. One, 23 four. And then 567 and eight. So we tap on one, 234 and 567 and eight again. 1234 and 5678 And 1234 and 5678 Toe you step. Tap toe, heel, step, tap and toe. Heel. Step, tap and toe. Heel. Step. Attack One more time and stop right here. Now Let's try this together with the music. Here we go. 5678123456124671 more time. Toe heel stuff. Here we go and toe used. Huge tough toe top toe used. 1234567812345671 more time. Basic step here. Eagle and 123456 12 4561 more time. Told he'll step at 123456 They want to 34567 told top toe use. Step one is more time. Basic stuff. Here we go and want to 456234 Stop right here. 8. Footwork – Toe Heel Double: Welcome back, everyone. Now that you have learned the toe heel step, we're going to add in the double step to it. So now we're doing the toe heel. Double step, and this is how we're doing it. Here we go. We start off with the basic step. 12345678 Now we do the toe heel. Step toe, heel! Step, Tap toe Heel! Step tap. Now we add in the bubble step. So here we go. We go. Toe, heel step. Then we do the double double. And now we do the toe heels step. And now we do the double double. So with all that we go. Toe, heel, step. Double, toe, heel, Step, double, Toe. Heel. Step, double, Toe Heel! Step double! One more time. Stop Right here. So that's the toe heel. Double. Now with the count. This is what it sounds like. In the end, it's going to go. 1234 and 5678 And very similar to some of the other accounts like that in the beginning. So this is what it looks like. In the end We go. 1234 and 5678 10 1234 and 5678 and 1234 and 5678 and one more time. Stop right here. Now let's try this together with music. Here we go. 5678123456161 more time. Toe heel, double. Here we go and toe double toe heels. Double toe. Use that double toe heels. Double toe. Here's Donald toe. Here's double. One more time. Basic step. Here we go. And 1234561234567 One more time. So he'll double here. Legal and toe heels, double toe heels. The double toe, double toe heels double. 1234567812 34 and 5678 And 123 45678 And one more time. Step. Here we go. To 456123 Stop right here. 9. Footwork – Toe Heel Triple: Hey, guys, Welcome back. Now that you have learned the toe heel step and we've added the double step in and now you have guessed it, we're going to add in the triple step to it. So this is what it looks like with the triple. Here we go. So we do our basic step. 12345678 Now we do the Tokyo toe heel, Step, tap, toe, heel, Step and tap. Now we're gonna do the triple step. So this is how it goes. Toe heel. Now we do the triple triple step, and then we do the toe heel again. And triple step. So toe heel, triple step and toe Heel. Triple step until Hugh. Triple step and toe heel. Triple step in one more time and stop right here. So with the triple step, we also have the count. And with the eight count, this is what it looks like. In the end we go 123 and four in 567 and 8123 and four in 567 and eight. And one more time and stop right here. Now let's try this together with the Music. 5678123456781234561 more time Told he'll triple Here we go. Toe you post a tow truck toe here. Triple stuff toe heel, post up toe heel posted here one more time. Basic steps. Here we go and want to 4562345671 more times A steward again. Here we go. Told, Healed most toe healed the poster. 123 and 4567 Anne. 12 567 And 123567 And one More time. Basic step. Here we go anyway. 2345678 And 124 Stop right here. 10. Footwork – Toe Heel Crazy: guys, welcome back. So the next thing we're going to do, issue what I call the toe heel. Crazy step. Now, the term crazy comes from the fact that I will be merging both the triple step and the double step together into one full eight counts in the toe heel step. So you're not just limited to doing triple step at one time and then the double step at one time, you can actually do the triple step first and then the double or the double first and then the triple. So this is how we're going to do it. Here we go. We'll start off with the basics. That 1st 1234 and 567 and eight. Now we do the toe heel. Step toe, heel, Step, tap toe heel. Step in tap. Now we do the double step toe heel, step, double toe heel. Step double. Now we're going to do the triple step toe heel, triple step and toe heel. Triple step. That's the triple. So now what we're going to do is we're going to Duthie double step first and then the triple step. So here we go. And 123 double. That's the double step. Now we're doing a triple step toe heel trip pollster again. Toe heel, Step double. And in the triple toe heel, Triple step. So now with the whole thing, the whole thing added together. Toe, heel, step double, toe, heel, Triple step and toe you step double toe heel, triple step. And one, 234 and 567 and eight. And 1234 and 567 and eight. And one more time and stop right here. So that is the double step and the triples that first. So now we're going to do the opposite. We're going to do the triple step first and then the double step. So here we go. Yeah. So with the triple step toe heel trip full step and told he'll step double, toe, heel, triple step and toe, Heel, step, double, toe, heel, Triple step and toe Heel. Step double. Now we're gonna do it with the full accounts. Here we go and tow. Sorry. And 123 M four and 5678 And 123 and four. And 5678 And 123 and four. And 5678 and one more time and stop right here. Now let's do this with the music. Here we go. 56781456124561 more time. That's the double, then the triple. Here we go. Toe heel, step double toe heel, triple step toe here. Step double toe heel trip posted. Toe heels, double toe heel boasted one floor time. Basic stuff. Here we go. And 123456123456 of any one more time doubled and the triple here. Rico toe heels. Dhakal told he'll trip post a toe heel doubles. He'll trip post a panto. Here's the double toe heel should boast a Pinto heels. Double toe healed. Post up one more time. Basic step. Nearly ago and 1234561 246 of any one more time They will triple, then the double. Here we go. Toe heel, triple step toe, heel step startled toe, heel, toe heels. Double field here. So heels double one, 268 and 123 and 45678 and one more time and basic stuff. Here we go. In 1234567 2345678123 And stop right here. 11. Combo 1: Hey, guys, welcome back. So we have reached the combination section or footwork pattern section of this course or class. So the first combination is relatively simple, actually. What we will start off by doing as we will start off by doing a basic step, then we'll do the box step. After that, we will do the Dominican rotation basic. And then after that, we do the push step. And then finally, we enough with the basic step again. So to remind you of what we're gonna do basics the box Dominican notation the push step and then basic steps. So I will show them to you one after the other. So here we go. So do one basic. 1234 and 5678 Now we do the box. 1234 and 5678 And now we do the Dominican rotation. 1234 and 56 78 And now we do the pushed up. 1234 and 5678 Now we do the basic steps. 1234 and 5678 will do it one more time. But I'm not gonna tell you What's going to come after? We already know the pattern, so we'll go straight through it. One whole thing. Here we go. And 1234 and 5678 and 1234 and 5678 and 1234 and 5678 and one to 34 and 5678 and 12341 more time. And 12345678 And 12345678 and one to 345678 and 12345678 and 1234 Finish it off. Right here. Let's do this together with the music. Here we go. 5671234567812461 more time. Here we go, the Bucks and 123 456 Dominican rotation. 123456 Push them And 12345 Get ready The basic step. 1234561234561 more time. The flock step. Here we go! And 12 for Dominican rotation. And 123456 Pushed up! 123456 basic steps. And 123456 23 and stuff right here. 12. Combo 2: Hey, guys, Welcome back. So the next combination, we will do the basic step the across on three than the box step than the push step in the rotation. Basic. And then the basic step again. So it was a reminder. The basic step across on three. The box step the push step the rotation basic. And then the regular basic. So here we go. So we start off with the basic step. 12345678 Now we do the cross on three. Here we go. One to cross on 34567 and eight. Now we do the box. Step one, 234567 and eight. And now the push. Step. 1234567 and eight. And now the rotation. Basic. 12345 67 and eight. And finally, the basic steps. One, 234 and 567 and eight. And now, with one more time this time I'm not gonna tell you which step comes next. Okay, here we go. 5678 And one, 2345678 And 12345678 and 12345678 and 123 45 678 and 12345678 and 1234 and 567 and eight. Now let's do this with the music. Here we go. Face it. 5678 And 12345678 And 1234567 and one more time. Combo two. Here we go! And 1246 a. 12345678 2345678123456 And 1234 5612456 of any one more time. Here we go! And 123 67812345678 And 123456782345678 And 12 34561 More time. Stop right here. 13. Combo 3: you guys welcome back. So this next combination, we will do the basic step crossing on two. And then we will do the base step. After the base step, we will do a rotation basic. And after that we will do the double with flavor. And then we will do the basic step again. So to reemphasize. Basic step crossing on two. The base step, the rotation basic and then the double with flavor and the basic step. So here we go. So we do a basic step. 12345678 And now crossing on two. One cross on 234567 and eight. And now the base. 12345678 And now we do the Dominican rotation. 12345678 And now we do the double of flavor. 123 and double. 567 and double. And then we to the basics. 1234567 and eight. So now I will do it all the way through. So here we go. And 12345678 And 12345678 and one, 2345 and 78 and 12345678 and 123 and four and 567 and eight. And 123456 seven and eight. All right, let's do this together with music. Here we go. And 56 and 123456 71 24561 more time. Combination. Three. Here we go. 1234 56781 2345678 And 12345678 And 123 and 456 and n. 12345678 Any 123 45678 One more time Combination. Three. Again. Here we go. 1234567812345678 And 1234568 Teoh and 4567 and eight. And 12 35678 More time. Stop right here. 14. Combo In Place: Hey, guys, Welcome back. So in this next combination, what I will be showing you is how to do the footwork technique standing in place because the combination so far have been moving around in different locations, different directions. So, in no particular order, what we will do is we will do a basic step. Then we will do a push step. We will do the toe heel step. We will do the rotation basic. Then we will add in some double step and triple step into it. So this is what it could potentially look like. Here we go. So we go Basic step. 12345678 And now we do the rotation. Basic. 12345678 And then we can do the toe, heel, step, toe, heel, step, tap toe, heel. Step tap and then weaken. Do the regular rotation basic again. 1234567 and eight. And then weaken. Do the toe heel. Step with the double toe, heel, step, double, toe, heel, Step, double. Or we could do the triple step toe heel trip. Well, step until hell. Triple step and basic steps again. 12345678 Again, as these are in no particular order, is just whatever you sort of remember on the spot. Tips: E Everyone, welcome back. Now let me share with you a few things that have helped me along the way as I started to learn how to dance. But Shatha, particular Dominican style. So number one, it was helpful for me to take smaller steps when I was practicing and dancing. And what I mean by that is when you take smaller steps, it makes it easy for you to keep up with the timing and also the same time. It was a lot less work for me to do the techniques. So as a beginner, you start out by taking larger steps to understand the orientation off your footwork. So you know where your left foot is. You know where your right foot is, if you to go. If you were to do your basic steps, you go to your left. But if you go to your left side, you may take a longer step versus a shorter step. So if you want to become more confident and making it easier for you in the long run, it helps to take smaller steps. And generally speaking, if you take steps that are within shoulder length apart, it helps you a lot, a lot more than if you were to take steps that are larger than your shoulder length apart. Okay, so as a beginner, it's OK to take larger steps because you are learning. However, if you want to become more confident and you don't want to work as hard as you should be, then taking smaller steps will help you to perform those techniques. Number two. It is very useful in particular when you are doing the single patients or the double time to be on the toes of your foot or the balls of your foot instead of using your whole entire foot to plant on the floor. This is particularly true if you're doing the double steps and the triple steps. So when you are doing a triple steps and the double steps, you are on the double time, which means that you are doing things a lot quicker than the single time. So when you are doing the double step, for example, it's easier if you are on your toes than it is on your entire foot. Now you may have noticed, as I was doing the demonstrations that I was almost all of the time always on the toes of my foot. And that is because using the balls of my foot are a lot easier and faster than if I was on the complete foot itself. So that being said, if you are doing a 123 double, you are on the toes. And then as soon as you finish doing the doubles, then you can go back to planting your whole entire foot on the floor on the 567 counts, saying with your doing the 1 to 3 counts 123 and then when you do the double, you do the ball change, which is being on the toes, and then you go on and move forward from there on. Same as thedetroitbureau steps. If you're doing a triple steps 12 triple step. The triple step is when you do, the ball changes when you're always on the balls of your foot and then you move on to your regular basic steps. Number three. It is very important that you always have your knees slightly bent when you are running to dance, so if you are not doing it already ah, try to keep your knees slightly bent that way. It makes the transitions easier and the movements a lot more flexible. And the fourth thing I found very, very useful. If you try to finish the count when you are doing your footwork techniques, sometimes when you start learning, you may forget to finish your count. Or, as you're doing accounts your footwork, maybe a little bit off, or you step on the number three count and your leg is not words supposed to be. Or you don't know where your right leg or your left leg should be when you finish your basic step or which ever footwork, pattern or technique you're on. So I found it very useful. If you start your basic steps or you start your steps and you count along with those steps and finish the count, then it will help you to determine where your legs are supposed to be, etcetera, etcetera. So, for example, if you were to do your basic steps from left to right, 12345678 It is important that you finish your fourth count with the tap, and when you finish your count with the fourth step, then you make your 567 count with the steps, Then you know where your feet should be. 16.
