Very useful video on building a class. Speed of presentation a little too fast.
This is so useful in getting started, highly recommend it if youre thinking about teaching on Skillshare. The class project and discussion is a great way to get feedback to refine your idea before starting filming too.

Illustrator & Teacher

I taught graphics software in adult school in the past. First you need to get fingerprinted to teach at the facility. Then you need to get your curriculum approved and get your notes together. Drive to the school, hopefully find a good place to park. Hope the class computers don't crash. Hope the students actually show up and hope they don't forget what you showed them. I would recommend this class because it moves through the concepts quickly in small bites so we are not bored. You can watch again anytime, don't have to find a parking spot. The video lessons make the idea of teaching online totally accessible and you get inspired to get out and try it. Also, students that come to Skillshare already have basic computer skills and will retain the lessons you pass along. I really enjoyed this class and will be launching my first class very soon. :)
