Project Description

Find a leaf that inspires you, paint it with watercolor and share a photo of what you create. 

You can paint a single leaf or many. The choice is yours. You can paint in your sketchbook or on a separate piece of watercolor paper.

There are absolutely no restrictions to what you create!

Materials needed:

  1. watercolor paint in a variety of colors
  2. watercolor paper -- 140 lb will give you the best results
  3. watercolor brushes in a variety of sizes

Other supplies include a pencil and kneaded eraser. Although they don't appear in the videos you'll also need a container for water, paper towels (to blot your brush and remove excess water and paint from it).

Any brand or type of materials will work. Use what you have on hand. I share my favorite brands, colors and types of materials in the class handouts, but those materials are not necessary to be successful.
