About This Class

Goldfish are pure joy. Their bright colors glimmer in ponds and tanks. They dart and flash around in the water and cannot fail to lift your mood.

Painting goldfish is a joy, too. They are fairly simple to paint and the nature of watercolor, the way the paint spreads and bleeds on the paper, yields beautiful results. It's magical and fun!

In this class I take you step by step through my process for painting goldfish. I demonstrate painting three different colors of fish: an orange fish, a red and white fish and a calico fish and give suggestions for other painting possibilities.

Thank you very much Anne ! Highly recommend this class.
I really enjoyed this artists rendition of simple watercolor techniques with creative spirit alive and well. A.B. took care to cover all aspects and encourage experimentation. Thoroughly enjoyed!
I love how Anne's classes are flexible when it comes to the brushes/colours/papers she recommends. The pace of the classes is perfect and her techniques are so simple yet beautiful!

Anne Butera

watercolor artist, pattern designer

For a long time I denied my identity as an artist, but in 2010 I decided to reclaim it.

Regaining my creativity didn't quite work out as I had planned. In truth, on my first attempt at leaping for my dreams I fell flat on my face. That experience, though painful, has put me on what I call a Mission of Beauty and Joy.

Today I work as a watercolor artist.

I strive to create something each day and am passionate about encouraging you to embrace your creativity...
