About This Class

Bonjour!

I am a French teacher with eight years of experience in teaching French to English speakers. During my career I have designed and prepared many courses, for different levels of French, from beginners to advanced.

During the years I have noticed that students need to be constantly given cues on pronunciation, even at more advanced levels.

This French mini-course will guide you to gradually discover the differences in the reading/pronunciation of different sounds in English and French. It is a course mainly destined to beginners. However, I hope it will also be profitable for those who want to improve their reading or simply need a reminder.

We will start with those sounds prononced similarly in English and French. We will continue by adding more challenge and learn about letters and groups of letters that do not sound as in the language you are familiar with. In order to increase the capacity of discrimination, we will use words that are written identically or almost identically in French and English, but are read differently.

Allons-y!
