1. Class Introduction: Hi, this is when Grace, I am your instructor for this course. I welcome you all for this course, learn image color conversion techniques using Adobe Photoshop. Through this course, you will learn how to convert the color image into a grayscale image and how to convert the grayscale image into color image. We have a lot of steps to do the work. In first segment, we are going to see how to convert the color image into a grayscale image. We're going to use a different formats like we are going to use D saturate option. We are going to use Hue and Saturation. We are going to do the same work with the sponge tool Channel Mixer. We are also going to use the option black and white to convert the color image into a grayscale image. After this, we are going to see how to use adjustment layers in Photoshop incurred segment. We are going to see how to convert a grayscale as well as the black and white image into color. First, we are going to see how to convert the skin tone into color. Thereafter, we are going to see how to convert the hair color, the t-shirt color for this photo, the background door and window colors, the ball and filler of the image. After that, we are going to see how to colorize the small details like the ornaments in this picture. The lips of the core, the nails of the girl, and the eyes of the girl. We're also going to see how to enhance the skin, the hand t-shirt, the wall, and final color enhancement for this grayscale image it to color image. This course, a 100 percent focus, the complete professional way to convert color image into a grayscale image and grayscale image into color image. Let us see in our class. 2. Desaturate - Color to Grayscale: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to convert the color image into a grayscale image. Here you can see I have two folders in the color conversion images folder. First one is color. Second notice grayscale. So open the first folder color here I can see two images here. I choose the very first image. I just opened this, I just drag and drop them in Photoshop. And here I'm going to do the color correction work. First. I'm going to character action with the option which is research, right? So with the help of desaturate option, we can convert the color image into a grayscale in a single click. Let me show you how to do that. First, I'm going to open this image. Yeah, I was open to that image. Now I go to the Image menu and image, I'm going to choose adjustments. In adjustments, I'm going to choose a desaturate. You can see we have the shortcut key also shift to control you. I click this desaturate option. When I click these Azure Adoption, you can see the entire image will turn into the black and white, which is grayscale. So in this way, you can convert this grayscale image into color with the help of B Photoshop. This is the easiest way that a lot more ways out there. Let me show you one by one. 3. Hue and Saturation Color to Grayscale: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to convert the color image and took the scale image. I showed you own way. Here, I'm going to show you another way. So I open image Meno in image men in Photoshop. I choose adjustments. After this adjustments, I'm going to choose this option, a hue and saturation. So the shortcut keys control. You can see that like does this hue and saturation. When I choose Hue and Saturation, you have three options here, hue, saturation and lightness. We know what is Q. So if you want to shift the colors in this color wheel, you can use the hue option. And we know nobody's lightness. So if you want to add a remove the lightness, you can use this option. I just keep this into 0. Then third, you have one more option which is saturation. So with the help of this saturation, you can increase the color of the image or decrease the color of the image. Let me show you. I'm just clicking on this slider. I moved towards this 10 plus values, can see the color values, you know, increased in this image the same way if I move towards my left-hand side, you can see the colors are completely reduced to, if I move this NO, till my minus a 100 value, this complete image, turn it to the greyscale, which is also called black and white. Not technically, but I know it is called black and white. So I just, okay, So in this way also, you can convert the grayscale image. 4. Sponge Tool - Color to Grayscale: You can also convert the image into a grayscale to have separate tool for that. For that, what we are going to do is we're going to import the image is important. The image. Now I'm going to the sponge tool from my toolbox. So I choose sponge tool. So with the help of this sponge tool, you can decide rate the selected area from the image. Let me show you. So after choosing the sponge tool at the tool option bar, how to check what is the mode we have choose to here, are it is there. So now you can see it is saturate, choose desaturated. So the help of this D saturate can remove the color from those areas. So let me show you. I just click here and you can see how it remove those colors. Just click and drag. So it removes the colors from those areas where we are playing or mouse. If you want to remove part of the inner AMH colors, you can use this option, the sponge tool. So in this way also we can demo and on the bottom of the image color, or you can demo. You can convert the image into a grayscale with the help of Adobe Photoshop. 5. Channel Mixer - Color to Grayscale: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to convert the color image into a grayscale with the help of Adobe Photoshop. Now we are going to use the channel mixer option. So I opened the image. Now we choose Image menu. Here I'm going to choose Adjustments, and I'm going to choose Channel Mixer. So here we have the option channel mixer. 2's this channel mixer. And here you can see we have a three channel values, red, green, and blue. And if I choose this output channel, and you can see I have green, blue in a separate way. I can also choose those values and I can adjust that. So by default it will be red. We also how the preset values here we can see we have RGB, black and white infrared. We have black and white with blue infrared filter. So we have a lot of options here. The predefined options, three settings. If you want, you can use those options. Can say how it change those image areas. So if you want to use, you can use these options. Otherwise. It can use this channel sources and write no hideous color only. So if I adjust the color value, you can see it affects only the color. But what I need is I just want to convert the image to grayscale or black and white according to the bubbling. So I'm going to use this monochrome option here. I just enabled this. When enable this, you can see that image was turned into the grayscale image. And now I can adjust all these options. I have a red channel, and I can adjust only the red channel pixels. I can adjust the green channel pixels, and I can adjust the blue channel pixels so I can adjust the blue, can see how it changed the entire image. So it cannot just all those red, green, and blue channel values. And you can also adjust this constant. You can see how it loops. So if you want to adjust with the help of this channel mixer, how to use this option. This is one of the professional way to convert the color image into a grayscale image. You can see how good this option, how it changed the entire image tone value. We can see that this channel mixer we use to convert the color image into a grayscale. But the professional color values. 6. Black and White - Color to Grayscale: In this lesson, I'm going to show you another way of converting the color image into a grayscale image. Why I was calling this as a grayscale image. Let me tell you. If you want to call an image to black and white image, it should have only two colors or two values, which is black and white. But in that the grayscale image, you have a lot of gray values from 0 to 100. That is why we call that image has a grayscale image. Let me show you an example. If I choose Image Adjustments and threshold. You can see here we don't have any great tone values. We have only black and white colors or values. So that's why this image is called black and white. To clinically, it's a black and white and that's it. I just press control, is it? But if I convert the image like this, this is a grayscale image. You can see we have a lot of gray tones. We also have black and white values. At the same time we heard different gray values now from a 0 to a 100. So that is why this image is called grayscale image. But in gentle people calling this image as a background image. But technically that is not right. It's a grayscale image. Now, I'm going to show you one more way to convert this colored image into a grayscale image. I open image folder, choose adjustments. So we have a lot of adjustments option here. We have seen the saturation value and we have seen how to use a hue and saturation to convert the grayscale image. And now we are going to use another optional, just black and white. So I choose this black and white option. And choose option can see the complete image, note the colored image, turn it to grayscale, and you can see we have six more options here. So we have red color values from the image, we have a local or values, the green color values. I want to show you the image again. Just press cancel. Look at this image. We have different color values here. For example, at the back known I have blue as well as Sian based color values. If you take an RGB color mode, you can see we have a blue in the background. The same time if you consider the CMYK color mode, we have the CMB colored the magnum, and we have a low in this skin tone areas. Also, we have the red colors in this skin tone area. We are so how the mentioned occurs in the skin tone area. So let us know the Hadean him. So we almost have all the color tones in this image. And I open that black and white option. You can see this is our balance. Open up black and white option. We can see, we have six channels. Here. You can see it has a red, a green, cyan, blue, magenta fee. Want to adjust the particular color tool in this grayscale image, you can use these channels. For example, I have that it didn't the skin as a list of the lipstick. So if you want to adjust those values, I want to make it into darker or brighter. I can use this red. So you can see, apart from those red color, pixel based areas, other areas are same. You can see that. So if you want to adjust those areas itself, you can use this black and white option and you can adjust this later. Can also brighten those areas. So this is not a good option to convert the image into clean skin. Can convert the any grayscale image. You can convert any colored image and the skill with the proper color adjustment. This is what professional people need. So we can use this and if you want to adjust a low values, I told you how they are local and at the skin, particularly on the face. So we can also adjust those areas. And we have C and color at the backbone. So we can adjust the color value. And also we have blue with the background. And we had imagined I also know the skin tone. Particularly I mentioned you. So you can just all those options with the help of this black and white. So as your requirement, you can adjust those values. Finally, you are going to choose loci. So when it choose, Okay, I'll have the column. So in this way, with the help of this black and white, you can convert the color immediate to the skin with the different tonal adjustments. So that is the important thing. This is a professional way. 7. Adjustment Layers: We know you are doing color correction or color conversion in Adobe Photoshop matter, you can use adjustment layers. So what is adjustment layer I'm going to show you now. I go to my Layers menu. Before that I just want to open a file. Yeah, i how the image file here. You can see how the layers, It's a background layer, it's a JPEG image. So I also opened the image. Now I go to this Layers menu, and here I have a lot of options. You can see that. And I choose this new adjustment layer. So if they come to the new adjustment layer, here we can see we have all those immediate adjustment options from the brightness contrast to all those things. So let me show you one thing. I'm going to choose my black and white option. So in last lesson we are used to this and choose black and white. And I'm going to give a name for this layer. Let it be black and white one. If you want to add the color for the later integration you can use. And if you want, if you also want to use, the blending mode, can use, but otherwise you can leave it into normal. You can also adjust the opacity in this place and choose OK here. And when it choose OK, you can see in my layers palette I have a new layer which is black and white to one. So that does the name. And you can see this layer is called adjustment layer. If you want to adjust the color values from the image, the same time. If you want to keep the pixel values, the real pixel values. No, in the particular image layer, you can use this option adjustment layer so that you don't want to affect NO, on the original source image, it will be there. It is safe. We can see that deceive. You are only going to adjust those colors and those adjustments will be in a separate layer. So that layer is called adjustment layer. We will get the same result. You can see, you can not just all those values according to my need. Can see on those things. And if you don't add the tint, I can use that Intel soon. Can you say anything to here? So this is called adjustment layer. This adjustment layer also have layer mosque here. So it can use this layer mosque. And if you want to reveal some areas from the image, you can use this layer mosque me show you. I use this tool. So I have white color, not going to have wet clay. How black color? So if I play the note that black color anywhere in this image, with the help of this layer, MAC layer, our sector that a muscle layer. And I'm going to apply here. Note that in those areas, you know, the labor content will be revealed since I was used. Black color. So this is the added advantage. They'll probably know this layer mosque. It can reveal those color details. So in this way, the adjustment layer works. And if you want to remove those color corrections, you can just hide that. And, you know, we have the original image without any issue you want to remove. We can erase that particular at some layer also just drag and drop and put it into the trash. So in this way, you can use adjustment layers in Adobe Photoshop. You can do all those corrections. You can see auteur all the color adjustments you can do with the help of this adjustment layer. So it can do a brightness contrast, levels, curves, exposure. You can use all those options. I can use all these options. They can pop adjustment layer to do color conversion in Adobe Photoshop. 8. Skin tone creation - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, we are going to see how to convert the grayscale image into color. So here I have given you three images. You can use your own image. You can choose your own grayscale image. No problem. But here I was given you a three images. First one, this is the classic image. And second, this image, and third this gala. So all these three images that I know are entirely different. So we can use any image to convert that into color. So I'm going to use this girl image, how the background too, and how the skin tone that hair. So I had the dress. So I had a lot of challenges here. I'm going to show you how to convert this grayscale image into color. So I'll just open this and just drag and drop into my Adobe Photoshop. So I was input to the image and you press Control 0 so that I can fit the image within the screen. So we can see we have a lot of details here. For each and every detail, we're going to create a separate layer. So right now we have the background. This is the name of this particular image layer. I just double-click that particular layer. And here I'm going to give a name. And you can see this is the source layer, fine. Now I'm going to choose a new layer. So I just want to create a new layer from this and just want to duplicate that for that, what I'm going to do is I just press control J, so that this often is called a Layer via Copy, the selected area of the image will be a new layer. So I didn't select any object area. Since that we consider the intake image layer was Rector. So that was, you know, create a new layer and layer political, see it has a new layer, which is the good coffee. So I'm going to give a name for that layer. So I just click once again in the same, in the same text area. Double-click there. And here I'm going to give it a name, skin. So I just give it a name which is skin. So what I'm going to give the color values for the skin, since the skin area in the east in the front of the image, I'm going to add color tone for that first, and I'm going to add the color tones for the have the address. And after that I'm going to add the colors for the background like the war, the window. So in this way, I'm going to add those color values. So in this layer I'm going to cue the color value for only the skin itself. So that is why it was renamed this layer into skin. Now I'm going to choose Image menu. And here I have adjustments. In the adjustments you can see we have a lot of options here. We can use many ways. There are so many ways out there to convert the grayscale image into color. I'm going to show you another professional way to convert the grayscale image into color. So just choose Image adjustments. Here I'm going to use Hue and Saturation. So I choose hue and saturation. Can see I use this hue and saturation here. I just want to enable this colorized. So when I enable this color is you can see we have the selected Queue color over the image. So I just want to adjust that. Which color value I need. You can say how I was selecting the color for the skin tone I can use. This tool, can also adjust the saturation value. At first, you can use a color than later, we can change the color. And a lot of options here to adjust those color values. So I'm going to use the base color first. So I'm going to use this color value. I just choose OK. And now we all know that I, I just need that color for the skin itself. I don't want that color over the rest of the areas. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to hide those areas. So I use my Quick Selection Tool. And here I'm going to select these areas. So increase the brush size. And here I selected those areas where we have the skin tone. And here I just want to remove, I press Alt key to subtract 90, those selection here. So I just want to subtract. So this is how it looks and here, so I just want to select the hand area since that also have those status. So we are creating a rough selection. I have not used pen tool and we will use many trackers. Also not now, there was no subtracting the selectin, the help of all Tiki, I had the same tool. Just press Alt key to subtract the selection. Can see that it's easy. You just want to give some time and you can do that. Here also, you know, I was having those unwanted areas. So I just press Alt key and remove the selection. And here also, That's it. I was elected. I just want to select message shoulder area. I want to remove the selection from the shore to the t-shirt. Is. So now you can see, I almost know how those areas, The skin tone areas. Fine. Don't worry about all those complicated areas. It is easy. Let me show you how to do those areas. No colocation work. We can do that. Acv. So I was elected in all the essential part of the skin hero. So I just add, just extend the selection area here. Awesome. So after this, I just want to apply a layer mask for this skin layer. We know how to do that. I just come to the layer palette. And at the bottom and 0 from the left-hand side, we have a third option which just add layer mask, choose Add layer mask. And you can see we have the separate layer for that and we didn't affect any pixel value from this row, that goal original pitcher. We also didn't edited any area from the skin layer. So this is the layer we can see that. So I was separated the particular skin tone from the image. Now what you can do is we can select the image area apart from this mosque area. I can come to the image adjustments. I can come to the lateness contrast. I can adjust those value. I can come to the color balance. So in color balance, you know, a lot of ways to adjust the skin tone. You can get lot of skin tone variations. With the help of this, we can add different colors so it can create the perfect. So it can create the perfect NO, or color tone with the help of this color balance. So in this way, we are going to separate each and every layer. So in this lesson, we have seen how to colorize the skin tone of the girl. In next lesson, we are going to see how to colorize the hair for the girl. 9. Color the Hair - Grayscale to Color: So we have created a skin tone color at the previous class. So I'm going to show you how to do this no head coloring work. So far that I'm going to choose the goal layer, the base layer, and just press control J. So it was lubricated a new layer. I already told you that this Layer via Copy. And here I'm going to give a name for this layer. So I'm going to rename this layer. I just doubled over the text. And here I'm going to give a name here. So here I'm going to give the color value for the hat. Now I'm going to choose Image Adjustments, and here I'm saturation. So here I'm going to choose colorize again, and I'm going to choose the hair color. So you can see the goal. I just press cancel. We can see the goal in our hair. Colors can be how the black, but here we don't have black color. So you can add according to the image mat, you can use either a golden color, white and black. So according to your need, you can use, so I'm going to use image adjustments, hue and saturation. Right now. I'm going to add on color later. We can change that into anything so we don't want to worry about that. I'm going to change the color of the hat. Can use this colon also. This really looks good. So I'm going to keep this color and just press Okay. So now I want to select the hair area itself apart from the head area. I don't want any other areas. So what I'm going to do as usual, I'm going to select this pixelation 2D, going to select those hairy areas. Select those areas here also on the left-hand side. So here also I have the hair area. Does it affect my face area? No, not at all. Because that layer of the skin layer is above all layer. So you don't want the audio port that just those I just select those areas for the hand. So here I was remote and those selections. Now I just want to apply the layer mask before a play. The layer mask, I just want to select No those exact ages. So after this election I come to this tool option, but for I'm going to choose, select and mask and choose Select and Mask. You know, you can see at this electron say you have a separate new toolbar. And here I have properties. So in toolbar you can see we have different tools like Helvetica, Scrooge is Quick Selection Tool, and we have a Refine Edge brush tool. We have Brush tool. So with the help of these precious, you know, we can adjust those selections. So I'm going to choose these different views. You can show the exact, you know, the selected area. You can, I'd overtly it can show us on white, so it can show us some layer. So according to you or need, you can choose which kind of in Australia you need. After choosing the views, you can see how it looks on the just. And here also I'm going to just flatten right? So it's just black and white. And here I'm going to adjust the feather. Can see how it looks on those Hs. So if you want to adjust the feather value, can do the advice. You can keep that into 0. And if you need a smooth values, you can use the Smooth with the feather. Here I'm going to choose ONE days so that you can see how those areas works. So I increase the, that value and I choose to feather about doing oil was increasing the value. And you can see how those colors selection looks over the edges. And if I reduce it further values, you know, you can see it is solid. So if you want to adjust like that, you can use the feather option. And if you want to do now the selection based on the contrast, you can use this option. Now I want to turn the view mode into the black and white. So here you can see what all does electorate areas. We have the white colored ADI or the weight values areas or sector, and the black values areas or deselected. So now I want to refine those edges since it is a hat area. So I choose the second tool, which is the vantage tune. So after choosing the defenders to, I'm going to adjust these areas. So when I click and drag, you can see how we update those h's and just press control is it reduces Shift H value. And you can see how it looks. Looks so solid. And I'm going to add the value into minus 16. And let us see the desert. So this is how it looks. So I was playing this over the ages. I can also add the smooth values if you want. Okay? Take lot of time. So they'll cough this minus option. I can also restore know those areas where, how used those tools. Since the image quality is much weaker, it take some more time. And after all those things, I'm going to choose. Okay? So here you can see we have the selected area, our Add layer mask for that layer, the head layer. We can do all those adjustments later. So in this way, can add hair color during the color convention of the LPF, Adobe Photoshop. 10. Add Color for Cloths - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to add the colors for the t-shirt. So I'm going to duplicate the layer that just the layer girl, the press Control J, K. I'm going to give it a name, t-shirt. So we have the layer which is t-shirt, and I'm going to do the color correction. So choose Image Adjustments. And here I have a lot of options. I choose x0 and saturation. And the enable this arise. And here I'm going to choose the color. You can choose which color you want. So later we can change the color values here. You can see we have dark color and light color values. We can adjust all those values later. So right now we are going to select only a particular color, whichever it is, spine long. So I'm going to choose a color for her. Okay. I'm going to keep this color. So later if it does not occur, I'm going to change it to so k here and here I want to select only the area. Use my Quick Selection Tool and select the tress area. Can see how this goes. We can do that later. So now I'm going to use this layer mask. That's it. So we have added the color for this particular t-shirt. So in this way, you can add a color for this decision. If you want to adjust the color individually, you can choose the particular t-shirt, original layer, not a mosque layer. And as I mentioned, you can come to this color balance. And in this color balance, I'm going to select the color I want. For example, if I want color based on the green and can increase then all the clean Philip's values. So you can see those black areas that completely dominant to green. So if you want to, can I use in that way? And if you want to increase, the values from the CRM can increase. So now what you can do is you can use the same hue and saturation and you can rotate the color values. So that is really good. That is what I was and shouldn't do. At first you are going to use any one color, not an issue. Then later we cannot just all those colors. So I was added the color for this T-Shirt. Now, at anytime we can change the color of the skin tone, the hat, the t-shirt. So we don't want to worry about that. Be calm, relaxed, and we're going to do all those things from day one. 11. Colorize the Window and Door - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, we are going to see how to add the color value for the window as well as this door. So we are going to use the same color for the windows. I'm going to delegate this original source layer. The third layer, I just press Control J. And here I'm going to double-click and I give a name and a window. So here I'm going to choose a color for the door and window. And later we are going to select the color tone for the wall NO, including this builder. So here I'm going to choose Image Adjustments and hue and saturation. So we're going to select which is to value. And I'm going to increase. I'm going to enable this colorize option. Also. Going to say that no light colors and dark colors or contrast class. So I told you I'm going to select any one color so that later I can convert that. I can also choose the brown. I can keep this color can increase saturation value. So here I'm going to keep this color value. Just press OK. And now I want to select the window as less than 2. So I'm going to use or tools here. We can use the oppressed tool or I can also use some other tools. Since here we have the geometrical shapes that I can also use my pen tool. I'm going to choose the pen tool here, which is plus p. Choose to paint to choose path in this tool option bar. So I just click here. And here I want to add here also, I want to add one anchor point. This anchor point, right? It's not adored. Technically it's anchor point. So I've just added a note to anchor points. Here. Third anchor point. And here I want to add on more anchor point. Now I can finish it or I can press Control Enter. So this area will be a separate selection. And here I want to create a new selection here, then you can use a geometrical selection tool. So I'm going to use this rectangle selection tool and I'm going to use this Add Selection. So since I was choosing Add to selection, I can directly add this sector area, the window. So we can see both things are out there. Now I'm going to apply a layer mask. See that's easy. So we have separated the window as well as with the wall. We could do all those announcements later. But first what you need to do is we have to separate each and every color layer. Then finally, we're going to do all those finishing announcement works. So in this way, you can create the separate car selection for this door as well as the window. 12. Add Color for the Wall - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to add color for this wall as well as the filler. So you are going to use the same colors for the wall as well as the dealer. So let me show you as we do, I'm going to duplicate this layer, the curl. I press Control J. And here I'm going to give any wall or the wall, fine. So here I'm going to choose Image Adjustments and hue and saturation. I enable this colorized. You can see how the color here and here I'm going to choose what colors you need. So based on your need, you can choose which color you want. For the wall. You can light color value or bright color value. That is up to you. So based on your need, you are quiet. You can follow those color combinations if you record. So it's up to you. I'm going to use this color. And later you can change if you want. So I was adding this color for the war as well as a filler. So you can see we have used no six layers. This is the base layer. Apart from the base layer, we have five layers, so I just disable all those layers. This is a base layer. We have added the skin, we have added the hair, and we have added the t-shirt color. I have added the colors for the NO window as well as the dough. And finally we have the colors for the wall. And if I disable this, the base layer, that curve, you can see all those areas are filled. That's why, you know, we started with the skin and step-by-step, you know, we move towards the wall. So that is SERP plan. So we have successfully created the six layers to add colors. So since this wall layer, at the end, it never disturbs other all layers. So for this more layer, we don't want to add any layer mask since they end. So in this way you can add the color for this wall. And we have colorized, you know, all those details. We also need to add colors for the jewel, the RefSeq, as well as those nail polish. They have to do all those retouching works. For those who had areas. We will do all those Inova just meant some corrections on by one in upcoming lessons. 13. Colorize the ornaments - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to add jewels colors. So for adding dwelt colors, we are going to create a separate layer to select those twelfths. First, can see here what all the jewels we have. You can see where we have the job of the few tools we can see on the nose and ears. So I'm going to create a new particular layer for that. So I choose the current layer and press Control T. So here I'm going to choose the word interval. So I'm going to do the color correction. Before that. I just take this layer on top, can see just to that later to top. So it can drag and drop. Or you can use shortcut keys. You can use Control plus the close to one it requests, the Open. It can move towards the town. So I just moved and here I'm going to select only these areas. And I'm going to delete list of areas first. So I use Ellipse Marquee tool. I select this area first, I press Shift key and select these areas that we can see how we know. I select to know those areas. You don't want to add colors and process the interlayer. That's why no, I was choosing these areas alone. So now we can see and I'm going to use the layer mask. You can use a layer mask. What I can do is I can just press Shift to control eye so that I can do the inverse selection and you can press the Delete key. Since these details are a little, I can delete the rest of the area because here we have the enough area to hide or show the image area so that the center. And now I'm going to do the color correction. So, uh, choose the soil dwelling area. I'm going to say Image Adjustments, Hue and Saturation, I enable the colorize. Now I'm going to choose the color of the table. This should be the color. And I choose, Okay. Now what I'm going to do, I'm going to hide those unwanted areas. I apply a layer mask. Here. Can see I apply a layer mask and I have white color, which shows all those layers a yes or no visible. Now I'm going to choose the brush tool. I have black color and I'm going to areas, those unwanted areas. So I reduce my brush size as you can see how I introduce those layers area. So I just hide those areas. Using layer masks. Can reduce the brush size and you can zoom in on those areas as you need. This is our need. And I got the island here are saying I want all those areas. That's the part of the Java. So I plus x, like you can see that I can toggle the colors. I've got the white now. And I extend those normal area up to this. So this is something that really looks good. I I cannot just call us later here, so I know I'm going to do the same thing. So I'm going to hide those unwanted areas. I'm going to press X to toggle the colors. So here I'm going to hide those areas. It's a easy task. You have to do. A little bit passionate rectangle that you can do that. I know. And Hera, so I'm going to do the same thing. You can do, say x to the shortcut key. Now to ship TX only x. So you can show or hide the image area from the ramus because it toggle the colors from the black to white and black. And here are saying I'm going to hide those areas. Those areas here. If you want to use the pen tool here you can use. You can use. So we're going to do the finishing work now for each and every layer. Right now we're just creating the layers, just trickier. So we have separated those Charles from the core. And now I want to separate the ellipse color and those nail polish. So for that I'm going to add a new layer. So the same, you see I choose this gold layer. So in this way you can keep those twelfths in a separate layer with the help of Adobe Photoshop. 14. Add Color for Lips - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to add color for this curve. If you are going to use the same color for lipstick as less than a Polish, we can use a single layer. If you want to use a different colors for both, can use the separate layers. So right now I'm going to add color for those clips. So you can see, you know, I just assumed this area and I choose the background layer, which is the grayscale late the curl. So here I'm going to choose the rectangular shape. You can see how choose to know that the interior area, it covers the entire area. And here I'm going to choose Control J. And the press Control J. I can only copy and paste the selected area in a separate layer. So here you can see we have that. I just move that layer 0 plus Control Shift and close race to move that selected layer into a bot, all of the lists. So here we have the layer. Now I'm going to colorize this layer. I choose Image Adjustments, Hue Saturation. So here I enable the colorize option. You can see more color and can increase the saturation value. This really looks good. So just choose, okay. So here I'm going to hide those unwanted areas. Here you can see I just want to rename that layer. So I double-click that layer, rename lips. And here I'm going to hide those unnecessary areas. So I apply a layer mask. I'm going to use the Brush tool, increase the brush size. So first, you know, hide those unwanted areas from the edges. So here you can see this is no arrays unwanted areas, which means I was hiding those unwanted areas. So this is good. I'm going to use it here. Yes. So we can see in this field of sport, and if you want an awesome soft edges here, what you can do is we can choose the white color and can increase the pressure is and instead you can just have the show area. Fine. You can do those other touching box later. So in this way, you can colorize the lips of the coal using Adobe Photoshop. 15. Nails of the Girl - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to add colors for nail polish. So I'm going to choose those areas first. We can see here we have five fingers. Some could choose only those five images. Use the selection tool, which is Elliptical Marquee Tool. And I'm going to add those selection with that. And here also, you know, I have some barriers. So I want to select that. And I come to this left-hand side. Then here also know I have on those inner areas which has those nail polishes. So I'll just choose those areas. Press Control J can see that those nail polish content in a separate layer. And I'm going to give a name to a colorized now. So I just take this inner layer above all other layers. And here I'm going to image adjustments and here and saturation. When I do hue and saturation, I choose colorized. So here you can see, right now we have this color. I'm going to increase the color and I'm going to choose which color I want. And I'm going to choose this code. I'm going to hide those unwanted areas. So I apply a layer mask to a layer and I apply a layer mask. I'm going to choose the brush tool. Here. I'm going to add the black color on a layer mask. So I add black color to hide those areas. You can also use any other color. Just those areas. So you can see how those fingers. And finally, on left-hand side. So it's not easy to see. Now we come to this right here, I'm going to hide. So it was used only brush tool. And I use black colors to hide all those serious snow. You can see how it looks. It really matches with the t-shirt. And if we are changing the color for the tissue, you can also change the color for the nail polish. So in this way, you can add nail polish colors for this girl using Adobe Photoshop. 16. Eyes of the Girl - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to colorize the a. So I have the skin tone here right now. I'm going to do the question with the skin tone layer itself. So I choose the layer, skin, outermost layer, the image layer. And after choosing the image layer, I'll come to this toolbox. Here I choose the smudge tool and hover. Near the lessons we have seen this tool, the help of Swatch tool, we can saturate our D says rate the particular color. So here what I'm going to do is I'm going to desaturate. I have to ensure come to the selection bar and I have to ensure the mode is desaturated because I'm going to remove the color here. So after choosing that more, I come to this place and here I'm going to choose this particular area. You can adjust the brush size. I can add that color. You can also increase the value of flow from 50 to a 100. And I'm going to do the work. We can zoom. And you can do it in detail. I can remove those colors from the eyeball and the white spot area. So this will give you a better impact. Me show you after, you know, removing all those colors from the eye. And after this slept, I had come to the site, I hit us and I'm going to remove those colors. So here I'm going to remove those colors can reduce the brush size. And if you look at those other areas, there also you can remove the colors. But we don't want to show any gray area there that the same porting. You can remove the color, but you sure you make sure you don't have any weight colored there. You can remove those colors from those headlines also. Make sure, you know, we have not removed any grayscale over there. Snow. You can see how it looks. It really looks good. If you want to remove some colors from the IPO, you can do that. We can use the same spawns two, and you can remove the color. So I'm not going to remove the complete color. Just use this tool at the middle of those. I rose. That's it. Now you can see this image really looks good. It looks realistic. Asso, this view can create all those layers. So we have paid a detail for the skin first, and we have added detail in the hair, T-Shirt, the door and window, and the wall. And after that, we have started to add the detail for the 12 lips and nail. Finally, we had revealed the eye. We have used the sponsor to reveal the eye from the skin layer. From next lesson, we are going to enhance all those layers with the help of Adobe Photoshop. 17. Enhance the Skin - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to enhance the skin layer for this color conversion. So we are successfully converted the grayscale image into color. Now we're going to do the enhancement works. So I choose this skin layer first and assume this layer. So here you can see we have to enhance those areas. He also how to enhance those areas. So first I choose the mask layer. Now I'm going to choose the brush tool. Here. I'm going to add colors. I choose white color. Here I'm going to add the white color so we can see it has the blended appearance. Previously. Know we have sharp edges for those colors. Now it looks good. And also knowing these urea, I need the same skin tone. So I just show the image area there since we have used mosque. So at anytime we can show or hide the image area, that is not the biggest advantage here we have. And here also I have the hand area, the skin tone area. You can see that here also in the skin area. So here we have the separate layer for the 12th, so we don't want worry about that background. Here. I want to ensure the right colors. So here I choose black color, I'm going to hide those are motor areas. Here also. I guess cx. Second toggle the colors. Here. I want to hide these areas. So plus x again. I want to show the areas here. Since we have a skin tone at the top, we can reveal these areas. We don't have a tablet with that. And here I want to hide those areas. And after that I come to this place. So here I have two edges going to repeat this area. So I'm going to use a white and serious. So this is how we know I reveal those areas. So here also, we have the issue because of irregular edges here. So I'm going to add the white to reveal the finger areas and to hide the VR areas. So here also I'm going to use proper colors. Black for hide the areas, in white to reveal the areas. So I can use the pen tool. So I choose the pen tool, I click here, just click and drag to create the curl. Again, I'm going to add one more point. Here. I'm going to create a code for this area. I'm going to add a black color in the layer mask. So here I have the black color. I can use a brush tool. Increase the brush size. So I'm going to apply the color on sector areas will have the soft ages. So you can see that the bottom also know how to do the same thing, going to do the color correction work. Here you can see we have the T-Shirt area to this thin. So here I want to highlight some areas. So I just hide these areas here. We can do the rest of the work later. So we don't want to go to these areas. And here, so I know I'm going to hide unwanted areas. So here I want to show actually such as white. And here I'm going to show the head area. So we are successfully enhanced those ages of the skin here. So I'm going to do the same thing. Add the skin color area here, sharp edges. And I want to make it into soft. 18. Enhance the Hair - Grayscale to Color: So I'm going to use black. Hey, don't want any hard edges. Here you can see we have the tissue from those places. Some soft edges. I'm going to reduce the colors. Here we have the tissue. The impact. You can see that spend the time. I want to add. So you can see. So in this way. So in this way you can complete the skin and using Adobe Photoshop. 19. Enhance the T Shirt - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, we are going to see how they enhance the t-shirt and a background. First I'm going to add the t-shirt, so I choose the tissue layer. Here you can see we have some unwanted disturbance here on this right-hand side also. So I'm going to do all those collection works. Going to start with the left-hand side. So here you can see how it looks. I'm choosing this t-shirt, I choose the mask layer. Now I'm going to choose the brush tool and I'm going to address. So here I want to hide the skin area. I just want to reveal it, those tissues materials. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to choose the skin area first. Here. I'm going to choose black and I'm going to apply here. So these areas, I don't want any skin tone here also, I don't want any skin tone. After that. We'll come to this place. No skin tone color from here. And in the cytosol Inova Health same problem. So successfully the mode. Now I choose this wall layer. So this wall layer in fact is there. You can see that snow. What I'm going to do is I'm going to hide the skin tone first. You can see these areas. I was reduced the skin tone color. And what else we have here? Yes. So we held the wall area here. I choose the wall area here. I'm going to reveal the tissue area. So for that, what I'm doing is a two-step t-shirt and I choose white. And here I am going to reveal, reveal the tissue area. Hello. So I'm going to do the same thing. If you can see it really looks good. So we just show the necessary and unnecessary areas. We have used only layer mask. So I come to this place here you can see I want to reveal the tissue. Going to use a white. I'm going to delete the mask, the layer mask. Since we are working with multiple layers. To be really careful. Here we are using right now. And after that Locrian side dancing. So here we have some issues. We have to know those things. So I want to reveal the tissue area here. Heroes. As I mentioned, you can use a pen tool, we can use any one tool. These areas also going to come to this place. So here we have the tissue to area and also we want to hide the tissue area. Just wanted to build a t-shirt here. Also, I want to reveal these areas. Here we have the T-Shirt hiring those areas. We have successfully know I added enhancements for the t-shirt. Now I'm going to enhance the background. So here we have the sharp edges on the backgrounds. We can see how it looks. I'm going to add just those colors. Here. I'll say no, I want to adjust the colors. So I'm going to choose the door and middle layer, choose the layer mask. And I'm going to choose the brush tool, finance here. So what I'm going to choose the black, hide those unnecessary areas. I'm going to press the Shift key and hide those unnecessary areas. So I'm going to say same thing. Going to press Shift key and click and tag. So you can see how those colors blending with the background. So I can do the same thing. Here. I cannot do that. How to do that manually? So I create no soft edges here. You can see, since the girl was focused on over the camera, we will not have such a sharp edges. So this is how we know this area. So all those layers. Now I'm coming to this layer. So here we can see, here we have some unnecessary pixels. So I use the pen tool. It looks like now. That's it. So here I want to, that's it. And so on these selected areas, you know, I don't want any color. So I'm going to add a black perfect color for that. So in this way we can find, so in this way you can announce all those layers with the help of Adobe Photoshop. In the next lesson, we are going to see how to do a final color announcement for this gray scale to color image conversion. 20. Enhance the Wall - Grayscale to Color: Now I'm going to announce the background. So here we have the shore based just on the back rooms. You can see how it looks. I'm going to add just those colors. And here also, you know, I want to adjust the colors. So I'm going to choose the door and window layer, going to choose the layer mask. And I'm going to choose the Brush Tool Maintenance here. So what I'm going to choose the black taboo to hide those unnecessary area's going to press the Shift key. Hi, those unnecessary areas. So I'm going to say the same thing. Going to press Shift key and click and tag. So you can see how those colors blending with the background. So I can do the same thing. But here I cannot do that. How to do that manually? So I create no soft edges here. You can see, since the girl was focused on over the camera, we will not have such a sharp edges. So this is how we know this area. Have the look. I was completed in all those layers. Now I'm coming to this layer. So here we have some unwanted areas. Tools can see. Here we have some unnecessary pixels. So I use the paint tool. You choose the layer mask. Looks like now. On this selected areas, you know, I don't want any color. So I'm going to add a black color for that too. So in this way, you can announce all those layers with the help of Adobe Photoshop. In the next lesson, we are going to see how to do a final color enhancement for this re-scale two-color image conversion. 21. Final Color Enhancements - Grayscale to Color: In this lesson, we are going to see how to do the final color enhancement work for this grayscale to colored image conversion. So we have date, all those other correction works. Now I'm going to start with the skin tone again. So I choose the skin layer. You can see how that particular color looks. And I'm going to change the color. Before that. I'm going to plan what will be the color of the wall under the t-shirt at the end. So I'm going to use a red color for the t-shirt. And I'm going to have the contrast background. So I'm going to have a white background or a light blue add a little bit dark color for those windows. So this is how I plan since I need a contrast colors. So I'm going to use the colors according to that. So I'm going to choose the skin tone first to the color correction. So how we can do that direction works. So let me show you first, I'm going to say Image Adjustments, choose Curves, and I choose curves. Here you can see we have RGB channel. I'm going to choose this please that here you can see we have a lot of preset options. I can just lighter. So you can see how we have the changes on those skin tone. If we want to adjust this manually, you can adjust. So you can see I can write down the goals, skin tone. So based on your needs, you can add those things. And here also, you can choose the particular channel, like encourages the blue channel. And here I'm going to do the correction works. So in this way also you can do the work. You get all kinds of goals, color, tone from here to adjust the tone and the green. So based on that, you know, will get this afraid cartoon here. So we can use what tone we need for that core. It choose OK here. So you can see the difference before we have the skin tone like this. And now after that we held the skin tone like this. So according to you but need you can adjust those color tones. So using the levels, you can see that, uh, how I've done that, image adjustments. And I'm going to use curves here. I'm going to adjust them if you want to overall, I just meant we can directly add here. And if we want the color, I just meant to know, particularly for those areas like no red, blue, or green values, we can use this channel. So I was added in all those connections. Now I'm going to choose this t-shirt, so it's just the tissue layer. I'm going to change the color as I told you. So I choose Image Adjustments and hue and saturation. So this time I don't want to enable the colorize it, just know to the right color for that. So I'm going to have no color. So this could be the color going to have for this girl. And after this, what I'm going to do is I'm going to choose Image Adjustments and I'm going to just color balance. So in color balance, we can do the same work. We can add more colors. You can see how I was adding more at color. Can also add more magenta. So based on your need, can add all those colors. You can also increase the colors with the help of hue and saturation also. So, and also you can use the course, so the ghost itself, we can add those colors. Here, I can see how I add those lightings. So with the help of curves also, you can do the same thing. And I'm going to use hue and saturation again. Here I'm going to have more saturation value for the colors. So based on your need, you can choose how you need that color. And after that, I'm going to adjust the half. Now I'm going to choose Image Adjustments and I'm going to choose brightness and contrast. Here I'm going to use the contrast and brightness also. And choose, Okay. Now we choose Hue and Saturation. Here I'm going to saturation value. So in this way you can add more colors. And now I choose the background door and devoted, I'm going to choose the wall. Voltages, hue and saturation to blue. Here I'm going to reduce the saturation value. Now by the door and window, going to use Hue and Saturation. Now I'm going to convert those colors into bloom. So based on your needs, you can choose what kinda do you want? You can add more colors. For the background. You can see we had a better contrast now between the coal and the background. Now I'm going to choose the nail polish, going to change the color to red. This is the way it looks. And finally, I'm going to add the lipstick color. You can keep the same lipstick color. We can change it according to your need. To choose the ellipse layer. Here I'm going to do the changes. So whichever is apt for you, for this slips, it can use that. After that, I'm going to do some final enhancements. So here I had to some finance moment. I'm going to blow the jewel residual layer. I use Control U for human saturation and I saturate more. You can see how those two ulcer looks like. It looks really good. And I'm going to choose this tissue layer again, going to change the color into this, so this little gender-based color. And this is how it looks. Here, I'm going to adjust for the hair. So I choose that layer. I choose the brush tool, and I use white color to show these areas. And you can adjust the back. Here. We can add in all those areas with the black color based on your need. So in this way, you can convert the complete girl image from gray scale to color. And again, I'm going to choose the skin tone, adjust the values, are going to use levels and can see how I use levels here. Just the mid-tones highlights. After that I'm going to use greatness contests, going to increase the brightness. Can see how it looks at the end. I'm going to hide all those layers. So this is the first layer, this is the original image. They have added all those details step-by-step. I have added the color for the nails. We have added a color for the DFS tree, colors for those jewels, colors for the skin tone, color, for the hair, color for the t-shirt. And after that, we have added a background color. So we have added colors for those darn window as well as the wall. So in this way, you can create the complete color conversion from gray scale to color with the help of Adobe Photoshop, it is an easy process.
