About This Class

Welcome to the course on Professional Course: Food Poster Designing with Adobe Photoshop 2021. In this course, I have focused on many areas that are highly helpful for the Students, Graphic Designers, Learners of Adobe Photoshop, Print Production & All. Adobe Photoshop is one of the best software for Graphic Designing and Digital Designing. Through this course, you will learn both Adobe Photoshop and Professional Poster Designing from the scratch.

You will learn food poster designing as well as Adobe Photoshop. This course covers three poster design concepts from the beginning.

A poster is a temporary promotion of an idea, product, or event put up in a public space for mass consumption. Typically, posters include both textual and graphic elements, although a poster may be either wholly graphical or wholly text. Posters are designed to be both eye-catching and informative. Posters may be used for many purposes. They are a frequent tool of advertisers (particularly of events, musicians, and films), propagandists, protestors, and other groups trying to communicate a message. Posters are also used for reproductions of artwork, particularly famous works, and are generally low-cost compared to the original artwork. The modern poster, as we know it, however, dates back to the 1840s and 1850s when the printing industry perfected color lithography and made mass production possible.

1. Class Introduction: Hi, this is English. I was course instructor for this professional course, foot posted as any data before to ship. So in this course we are going to learn both Adobe Photoshop, how to create a poster design for a food product. Here we are going to see how to create a layered design for any foot poster design, how to edit and the add images while this poster design, how to use layer more speakers with LPA Bobby Photoshop, how to add labeled epic of foot poster design, and how to create a final finishing enhancement doesn't work with the help of oughta be Photoshopped. You're going to learn how to create a complete from Washington hostesses input, put product with EPA broader be Photoshop. Let's start our classes. 2. 1 Layout and Background Design for Food Poster Design: So in this section we are going to see how to create a poster design for any food product. So here I have the images and content for my example, poster design. Here I have the content in Notepad file. So the main purpose of this poster displays special toy foods. So I have 70, so open texts and phosphates and welcomes you all those toy food items name here. So I'm going to create a poster design for this theme. Let us start with the software design. Before going to start with the software, doesn't we had to create a storyboard and other color dummy designs. In previous session, I showed you how to create a storyboard has a lesser color, Tommy design or a color story, but design for our poster design. So here I'm going to start with the system work. So I'm going to open the software. I create a new document. So in this, I'm going to choose Print and I'm going to choose A3. So according to your poster size, we can set the size. Right now I was choosing A3. If you need tablet size, poster, you can choose to top light. You can adjust according to your neighbor. For example, if I want to call inch or an inch width until 1998, definitely I can do I can ensure what size I was like Kurt for creating new poster design. And here I'm going to give a name for poster. And the resolution should be 300 and the colors remote should be RGB. We know we can change that later into CMYK if you want and choose Create. So first, I press Control 0. First I'm going to create a layout for this poster design. Layout is like a skeleton of our body. For a design layout is the most important part. If you created perfect layout, then the rest of the things that was very easy to create. So I'm going to create a layout. So right now I have only one white layer which is background. I'm going to create the shapes according to my need. So you can't create any shape which is available in Adobe Photoshop. Based on your plan, your storyboard only you had to create a shape. And it needs meaning. It should be meaningful or that is most important in this poster design. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create a plate like appearance. So for poster design with food theme, we can use a lot of shapes, particularly we can use to measure shapes. First one is circle. So the circle was close to relative with the plate. So we can use the Ellipse tool and we can create circus. Second, we can use rectangles are so the packages of food items always have a rectangle shape. So either you can use a rectangular is a circle. So if you are going to create any plate based or design, definitely you can go for this ellipse tool only. Then only you can present a particular content with the pleasant way. Otherwise, we can remove that background from the image and Halliday shown you what are the images I'm going to use? Here? You can see I have images. So here I have the image. I have there in a plate. And here I have the eggs. You can see I have a lot of food items. So I have burgers here also. I have put in place to help these. So all those pancakes, so all those images, I'm going to use a based on my requirement and this poster design. So I come back to the poster design. So here I'm going to create plate-like structure. So we have huge amount of images with high resolution. You can see I have very good resolution for the images. It has almost 40 resolution. And all those images are downloaded from Pexels.com. In previous section also told you how to download the images from Texas. So I'm going to use these images. I had to plan my design. So if I'm going to use this image with the plate out, this image with a plate. Definitely I can use a circle shapes, but if I am going to use these images, I can use as a circular rectangle. Both shapes and we'll adopt this image. So based on my requirement, I can use which shape I want. I'm going to choose ellipse tool. I'm going to create as I push Shift key to create a cycle. You can see I have predefined values here. So what I'm going to do is I can select this layer. You can see this is ellipse one. So I selected this layer and here I have the properties. Here I can set the line into straight instead of dotted lines. And I don't want any line here right now. So what I'm doing is I make sure there is no line here. And the fill color at the beginning, I'm going to choose some gray. So just imagine this is going to be a folder. So I have here, I'm going to place the plate here, go into just a little more. So I press Alt key to adjust from the center. And next what I'm going to do is I'm going to give a additional shapes to add the inflammations like your quarterly information. So we have and phosphate center welcomes you. And these are all the text I'm going to add in this design. So to add those inflammation, what I'm going to do is going to add a shape. So I'm going to add a rounded rectangle tool. So I choose a rounded rectangle tool and they'll pop that. I'm going to add rounded corner rectangle. And the corner radius wasn't really till. I'm going to adjust that. So again, I choose the two. So after selecting this tool, the rectangle tool Control palette at the Tool Options bar, you can see we have a radius, the values 10 right now. So I'm going to choose that value into 50 and I'm going to create a shape. So now you can see I have some code corners. So has created a shape when I was moving towards the top. So here I'm going to place that particular text. Here. I'm going to move that circle little bit down. Here. I'm going to cue to stop inflammation. And at the bottom I'm going to get a list of food information's available in this poster design. So like, uh, based on your needs, you can create these shapes and going to add on the bottom. So this is going to be late. And so here I'm going to add a background. I'm going to create a rectangle shape. So I'm going to remove those. And I have solid color. And I'm going to choose anyone three color. So right now it was a factor 13 color. I can change it if it occur. So fine. So I asked created a layout and I can see those alignment of those algaes are perfectly placed at the center. Can see the guidelines. And this object also, you know, located at the center only. So in this way you can create the layout area for your crappy design work. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to choose the perfect colors for this shapes. So since this was a food-based redesign, if you look at this color picker, we are going to use warm colors for most of the food item designs. We use only warm colors. Particularly, we use red, orange, yellow, and green, so forth food items. These are the favorite colors which attracts the audience. So since these colors are warm, so I'm going to use those warm colors in IQ and also use some brown. So I chose to brown here. So I can use this color if I record. So I choose a rounded rectangle at the top. Here, I'm going to fill the color brown here. And here I'm going to add a plate so I can keep that in the same color only. And if the backbone, I'm going to add a neon color. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to choose orange or yellow. So I'm going to add this color. And at the bottom we have the shape. Here. I'm going to add on more color. So I double-click this background layer, going to select the same color, then I'm going to adjust what color you want. So in this way, you can select what rather the color record for creating this poster design. So we have created a layout with a shape for tracing the images successfully if you want to add some other images regarding the food item so we can add some more cycles. If Record, right now I need only one cycle, so I was pleased only one. So if you want to add more food items, what you can do is we can duplicate the circle. I can scale it and you can place where you're going to place another folder. If it's necessary. You can keep a multiple frame for adding images. Otherwise, we can keep only one. So I'm going to use only one image here. For that. I have only one circle to place the image. So in this way, we can create a layout design and background work for our poster design. So in next lesson we are going to see how to add images for our poster design. 3. 2 Image Editing for Food Poster Design: In this isn't you're going to see how to add images for our poster design. The theme is food. So we have created the shapes for placing in nature. So we have only one shape here. And if it tracker, we can add image in the background. So here I'm going to place the image for that. I have already downloaded the images from Pexels.com. And you can see I have a lot of images I can place according to my need. So here we have both vegetarian, non-vegetarian images. So here we have all kinds of food items. So I'm going to add according to my need. So I choose this image. In Photoshop, you have two ways to add images. First one, you can drag and drop from our images, like I just drag-and-drop to my Photoshop and a release center of the design. So I will have the picture here. This is the AC method. The other method is we can go to the file and you have a lot of options here. How to important option, which is Place Embedded and place linked. So if you want to search from the Adobe Stock, you can go for Adobe Stock. Otherwise, if you have in your local system, you can go File, place Embedded. And if you want to only link with this document, you can choose a place link. So if you choose Place Linked, you will have a less source file size, but you had to keep the original image in the right place, otherwise, it will show missing link. So instead of that, I can do is I can choose Place Embedded. So here I have all those images and I'm going to choose this one. So I choose this image which was placed and it chews place. You know, I got the same execution. When I was doing drag and drop that M Also I got the same execution. So here I got the same execution. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to add this image within the shape. For that, we are going to use the concept called clipping mask. Clipping mask means we are going to place the image within a shape, whether it is a text or any other vector shape, you can place within the particular shape that is clipping mask. To add a clipping mask, you need only one condition, you need two layers. The image layer should be above and the shape of the layer should be at the bottom. The bottom it's below the image layer. So now what I'm going to do is I select that particular pitcher layer. I just right-click and I choose Create Clipping Mask. So that image will be automatically know Moscow with the bottom layer. Now what I can do this, I can apply a transform or the image, and I can scale according to my need. So you don't want to edit the image. It can mosque and you'll get the exact result. As the image was editor. Can see, really looks fantastic. So you can see displays how the exact plate-like appearance. So we got the result. We got our folder at the center of this design. So this is what we exactly record. You can see this is the noodles. And next I'm going to add rest of the image. So if I want to add more images nearby this plate, I can add the LPA for selection tools are if you want to use only one image and this is more than enough. So in this way, we can use this Clipping Mask option to hide or show the image. If you don't want to use clipping mask, you can remove that. Remove that keeping us what you have to do. So you just right-click over the layer and choose Release Clipping Mask. So you can see we have release the clipping mask. And you can do that in another way, which is you have to select the picture and you can press the shortcut key, which is Control Alt and z. So if you press Control Alt G, you can see that clipping mask will be automatically function. We need the same condition. The shape layer should be at the below the image, and the image layer should be avoided shape. So we have the shortcut key which is Control Alt Z. And we have another method to add clipping mask, which is what he had three. So how to move your mouse in-between the layer and to help press Alt key. So if you press altogether, you can see how the mark like clipping mask. So I just clicked right now with the holding the ALT key. So I have played a clipping mask. If I want to remove the same procedure, just press hold the Alt key and I click in-between the two layers. That's it, It's easy one. So three ways to add a clipping mask. So after adding this center portion image, I'm going to add rest of the images. So I'm going to add two images for the background. First one for this yellow color and second one for this brown color. So I'm going to choose images from my collection just downloaded from Pexels.com. So I'm going to use two more images. Let's run. I'm going to choose this one. Going to place this image as a background. So I choose this image, I just drag and drop over this design. I'm going to use this image. So I just move this layer below other on layers. And I'm going to reduce opacity. We know how to use Opacity option to adjust this opacity, you can also use the shortcut key. So if I want to 10 percent opacity, I can manually enter a value 10 and press Enter. Otherwise, we can use the numbers to access this capacity. To achieve 20 percent opacity. What you can do is you can too. You can press two. And if you want that the person who can plus 3. So based on your need, you can press which amount you want. You want that 33 percentage opacity. What you can do is we can press the three twice. So you can see I got that capacity. And if you want that defy or 45, 45 continuously. You can see I have 45, I'll switch to positive. So based on your requirement, you can press which are more do you want? And now I'm going to add image for this bottom area. So I'm going to choose this image. So I just drag and drop again. Going to place this image. So I want to keep this image over this background brown layer. So I move this a little bit. So it really looks good. I want to scale this. Now what I'm going to use, I'm going to add a clipping mask for this. So I held the shape and how the image, I select the image and I press the shortcut key, which is Control Alt G. So I can add a clipping mask here. And I'm going to reduce the opacity of this image into ten percentage. So I press one. You can see I got that image with an in-person HF opacity. So in this way I can add images. What I record for this poster design, if you feel like that, those images or distracting the theme or the information which isn't a text form. You can reduce opacity. For example, you can see this image has 20 percent opacity, going to reduce that into ten so that we know could better information about that particular design. So in this way, we can add images for our food poster design. So we have used three majors. First one for this center, but the plate. And a second we have used the Ag majors or the top with the light-colored background. And for the dark background at the bottom, they have used another image. So we use three images for this design. But remember, we never used any selection tool with the Photoshop. So every time you don't want to use selection tools when it triggers the time only how to use selection tool. So otherwise, you can use masking techniques and other all options. So in next lesson we are going to see how to add text content for our design. 4. 3 Role of Typography in Food Poster Design: In our previous lesson, we have seen how to use images for a poster design. We have used a clipping mask and other image editing techniques. So we have not used any image editing tool in our previous lesson to achieve this output. So this isn't, we're going to see how to add text content for our design. So these are the texts we are going to add with our design. So what I'm going to do first, I'm going to copy this foot center. The text. Just choose texture to go over this design. I just paste the text. You can see it's very tiny and increase the font size. Now I'm going to place here in layers palette. We have the text below other layers. I'm just moving that layer above all other layers. So here I am going to place and I'm going to choose white color for the text. We can change it later. So first I'm going to place all those text content. Next, I'm going to place this seven days open. So far that what I'm doing here is I just took to get the perf altogether and just copy and paste this seven days to open. So I'm going to paste in this area. Now again, I press altogether a drag and drop so that I can lubricate the textContent. Here I'm going to paste again. So special toy highlight of this poster design. And after that I'm going to add water or the hood items are available in this. So I'm going to paste that content here. So this rather content I'm going to use in this design. So I'm going to use those content at this place. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to reduce the texture size plus altogether to ensure that was reduced from the center. And it released in May most button, the least Alt key. Now we press enter. We ensured I need that particular content here. So have a text here. I'm going to reduce literary mode, the phone size, the pressing Alt key, and press Enter. So these are the food items available in this restaurant. Now I'm going to change the texture size of this special toy foods. So I keep two lanes for this special Thai foods. For this toy foot's text itself going to increase the text size. So I choose 150, which is really good. And I'm going to increase little more. Now I'm going to choose two different forms, cell bodies, especially typhus, some point tools. So we have two more texts and seven days open. I'm going to keep this here. We are going to align the clutter and I'm going to fit this phosphate center, welcomes you the text within this rounded corner rectangle. So I'm going to select this. I have to transform and I'm going to reduce the text size. So I can see in this poster to somebody how it used to complete serif font. Still, we have not used any san-serif fonts. Day can see all those Texthelp, the campaign ages Come center, serif, font category. So I have placed all those texts. Now I can do rest of the typographical works. So here I have to add seven days open, which is one of the important content. So I'm going to highlight the seven and days open. So I'm going to increase the font size for the seven. I'm going to reduce the font size for this day's open. And I can keep that in a single line. So now I Elaine that content in the center. So for this seven days opened itself, I'm going to add one circle. So I'm going to choose ellipse tool. If you want to add a custom shape here you can use or otherwise you can use ellipse itself. So how to choose the Ellipse tool? I'm going to click on the ellipse. I press the Shift key. So I can draw an ellipse here and move that ellipse one below the text 70s open, that I can change the font style. So based on my requirement, I can set the font-style. Going to choose Arial Black for this seven days open should be bolder. So I'm going to this day, so open in a two lines, keep it in a single line. And I'm going to reduce the font size. I'm going to register 10 to 25. So I have given that information seven days open. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to add some stroke for this cycle. So I just right-click in this lead pellet, choose Blending Options. So venting option, I can add stroke, this stroke. And you can see by default we have added weight color. You want to say the white into red or yellow. You can do. So based on your needs, you are going to change the color. So I know it was keep white only. And we want to change the color, fill color. You can do this with the help of this blending mode itself. While that what I'm going to do is I'm going to choose Color Overlay. And here I can choose which color I want. For example, if you want red color, definitely I can go first red color here. And it can increase the stroke size. You can see that looks pretty good. And I'm going to change this seven days open text color to a low. So in this way you can adjust any text content, color, or shape, or styles for your poster design. So we have added all those textContent on respect to positions. So we have completed this typographic. Our next lesson, we are going to see how to do finishing work, final enhancement work for our poster design. 5. 4 Small Detailing Works and Design Enhancement: In this lesson, we are going to see how to add final finishing design, poster design. So we have already computed the image editing text, and I'm going to do so. I'm going to start at the top. I'm going to select this text. And this text, I don't want a white color. This one. I'll just highlight this text. And I'm going to say rectangle. Here, I'm going to reduce this center will come you text 9.3. So this is what I want to design. A special toy foods, especially having. Now what I'm going to, I'm going to separate that particular layer and just cut this text. And what textbooks. And here I have that. I can keep. Know what I can do is if they want to ask some blending options. But this time, but it's quite correctly that layer, I'm going to choose blending options. And here I'm going to say if you want to add any kind of stroke, I can do with the help of distance. So we can use our design, these colors only we can use those colors are closely. So I have chosen to this text going to change the text color. They want to keep that special. All caps. Then what I'm going to here, I have seventies open yet I'm going to add a valid information how to add text content according to a client requirement only. So I'm going to keep this. I'm going to focus. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to kill some other element here. So here what I'm going to do is I'm going to add a small Buddha click appearance. Going to use the Ellipse tool. And it says instead of the default color, it's just a default color. Create a new layer. I'm going to create a shape. And I was creating the shape. So you can see I have a locality. So it looks like a bullet for this. I'm going to duplicate this before this sorting characters. So it was the beginning of the word in between or so I'm going to use this. So this will help you to identify the different items available in this shot. You want to change the color of this bullet. Can do is you have to choose auto select. And here I click the particular object, the particular layer we've automatically selected. So I just select this particular object or use Control U. So you will get a hue and saturation. So here you can change the color what you want by default. Turn that into. Next. I'm going to apply again the same hue and saturation. So I'm going to change. So based on your need, you can change the color. You want to use. Same color, green. You can use other ways. We want to change the different colors. You can change like this. So I want multiple colors. That is why I have a separate color for each bullet. Can see how we have used multiple colors for these list items because these colors differences shows each and every point will have different taste. That is way how use two different colors but easily. If you want to use the same color like either white or yellow. Since those are data comes into a single category, you can use only one color. You how to create multiple designs. It's like a drawing or painting. When you are creating a very faster drawing or painting, whoever, you are very brilliant for the universe course or college, doesn't matter most of the day, my very first tool, which is also called learning. But, but if you try continuously, you can easily achieve. So in this way, it can create a perfect poster design for any food item. The help of Photoshop. 6. Course Conclusion: I hope this course gives you a lot of information about how to get a poster disinhibition of order p Photoshop, and how to use colors denote, use marking, digging for the hyperbolic equation or secondary. Thank you for choosing this course and I'm please follow me for regular bits. Thank you.
