1. Introduction to JIRA course: Hello, everyone. Welcome to a class angina training. Before we get started with the Jetta introduction, I would like to introduce myself. I am an engineer and graduate with more than 14 years experience in high tea industry, and I have extensively worked on software testing and test automation and a lot of test management and test automation tools. I am a class and certified injera Project administration, which is a CP 600 Project Administration injera server certification so I can do all the project administration work within Gina I'm founder of Websites known a software testing men to dot com and R C B academy dot com, which have extensive resources on software testing and test automation, as well as some other key topics on technologies that are part in the market. Nowadays, I have trained more than 10,000 students across the globe on software testing and test automation. A bit of introduction to Dina So dear a is a proprietary where based product developed by the company known as a classy in Geula provides issue tracking, backtracking and project management capabilities. Jura helped in planning and assigning the tasks and monitor the end twin progress for the project. So planning and assigning off the task becomes very easy because you have to ask and issues in general, you just need to create a project, create the task and issues and assigned to the team members. And then they can track it by following the workflow that is underlying within that project . So that planning and assigning off the tasks on one trip monitoring and to end progress it becomes really, really easy. Using Jiro Software Gina Software support. Agile development methodology. It is highly customizable. Tool on. It has into do search features, which supports basic and advances when you can. If you are. If you're a beginner, you can use basic search, which is very easy to use on. If you know Jackie will on learn Jake, you and you can ride complex queries and use them toe pullout report, which will really help to track the progress off your project. Now, what are the Jeter products in the market Nowadays? Cejudo products are classified in three streams, depending on the project requirements. The 1st 1 is the Jiro core. So Dirac, or is suited best for the teams who are, um, more off a business focused, for example, HR marketing. So HR can have a project which tracks employee on boarding so and marketing can have a project with its Tracks marketing campaign. So you, the's business teams are using Gina Angela Cory is best suited for those sort of teams to create HR product or marketing campaign project and then track tasks within those products . The next version off dealer product product is Gina software, which is mostly for which is primarily for, um, development team, who are actually developing. The software's are, for example, they are developing any software to deploy in Windows. Who s or any other words, Um, are there developing some maps for Android or IRS? So to track those sort of, um, Project Gina software is best suited. It provides agile project management capabilities. Along with that, it provides integration with Lord Off development tools like Kate NSP in tow, manage the code repository as well as C I C D toe drag the deployment off the coat. Then the third version off dealer product is Gina Service test, which is best suited for the teams who are doing the service desk. O r. I t help this sort of project. So if you're working in a team and you are, you're working on the request rates by the internal employees and resolving those queries and managing the SLS, the Gina Service desk is the best suited product for your team. So these are the three different product versions available in the um Jiro software. Now what are the course content? I have divided course into multiple sections. The first section is introduction to Gina. We're not have introduced warty rise and what all peaches are available. Angina Second section is test management Judah. So I have installed a plug in test management plug in known as Safer in Judah and explain how you can do test management with injera using his effort. Plugging third section is around Defect Management Injera, which introduces how you can do defect management with injera 46 inches around man. So it's an introduction to Jack you up. When I have covered Jake, you will and different scenarios and examples to equity. The issues are right, Jake. Your queries to search the issues that you're looking for. Het section is around reporting to us. So I have covered some of the very important, agile report, um injera And how you can use it to report the progress off the project. And the last section is our is around introduction to Gina agile Where and I have covered screamin convent features of JIA. So that is all about the introduction and course contents of Kira to see you in the course . Thank you. 2. JIRA Installation/Setup Options: Hello, everyone. Welcome to dealer training. In this tutorial, I'll explain you how you can install Jiro software for training and evaluation Purpose free for 30 days are how you can register for Jiro Software on the Cloud, which is free for seven days. So to get started, go to google dot com and search for a class injera. Open Gina Soft there Website a class in dot com website and you'll get an option to try it free. So click on that. Try it free button. And here are some of the options available for the geo software. So you can either evil where Jiro Software as a standalone or you can do Jiro Software plus confluence, which is Jiro Software plus documentation. Our Jill, A software plus helped us. So depending on what you want to evaluate or learn, you can choose that particular option. So, for example, I want to choose Jiro Software plus confluence. Click on Tried Free and it will open the registration page. So this is the Jura Software cloud version, so you can provide any site name your full name, last name, um, your email address, password and click on start. Now, as soon as you do that it will click on it will prepare your own site and will be up and running within minutes for you for your give elevation and training purpose. However, after seven days, you need to provide your car details, and you will be charged if you want to continue for more than seven days. So other option to do evaluation but more than seven days is to install it on your own server so you can click on post it on your own server and then depending on what you want to install. So, for example, you want to try Jiro software. Click on download, and it will recognize which course you're using. Choose that and download the respective eyes to label for that particular us. For example, if you're using Windows 32 or 64 bit, depending which us you have, select that and download the software once you download the windows is to label. Installing Jura software on windows is very straightforward. Just follow the installation prompt um, and finish the installation. Once installation is done, you can and roll it for the 30 day free of elevation, and you can try for 30 days for training and learning purpose. For us or Mac OS, it's bit tricky to install. So I have covered installation of Mac OS in my YouTube videos, which is available in the external resources section in the same video below. So that is all about installation off a class and you're a software on your server. Are trying it free for seven days on the cloud. Thank you. 3. Understanding JIRA Project and Creating Projects in JIRA: Hello, guys. Welcome to Jeter Training in decision. We will learn about Jeter Project and how to create dealer project in Jeddah software. So before we actually go ahead and start with the demo, let's understand what exactly Ajira Project means. Injera software or any other Gina application orgy era product. So Gina Project is just a collection off issues. In a layman term, a collection of issue is known as Project in Gina. It is a single place to manage all your work, and every project has a workflow. So as a project is a collection of issues on issues need to be moved from initiation to completion from start to finish and to to move issues from start to finish. There has to be some underlying workflow or process that needs to be followed for those issues. For example, in agile development methodology, my story will have a certain process to follow until it's moved to done, or it fulfills the definition off. Done similarly, for any other task or any other issue tied like bug, it has to follow a certain workflow before it is closed or before the scoreless done. So there is every project has a workflow angina. Then what? What teams use? I mean, why do teams use product? And what are the different versions are different flavors. A project available in Gina products, so teams use Project two. Man. It's off for deliveries or software development. Teams will be using projects to deliver the software toe court, build the software and release the software. Then there might be other scenarios were in. There is an I. D help desk, using a teeter core to manage The idea. Helped us all right, so for with Gina so his desk product is utilized, then a marketing camping project can be also made. Our project. A team can use Gina Project to Manage Marketing Campaign, which is supported in jail, a core version off the project off the product that lasting products. Then you can have a project to manage HR operations, which is another Jacor. Our personality, right? Then what are the different types of projects available? Injera. So before we actually go ahead and see different genera product project. Let's see, what are the different Gina applications available? What are the product offerings from a place in for for Gina to the first is the Geo software, which is combination of Delacour as well as Gina, a child it supports suffered development or agile development methodology, along with the Jiro cold feature. Then the 2nd 1 is Jacor. So if if you have install only t record and it will give you a business no capability or to manage the project, which are only relevant to other business units and nor the saw for development project, then the 3rd 1 is to your service desk, which is more relevant for the i D help test sort of projects. So let's see. Gina Software is ideal for software development projects like development of new software applications. Are APS any iris, android apps or any other ah, typical software development project. Angina core is ideal for business products. For example, HR team can use DeRocco for employee on boarding or finance Team can use it for managing procurement processes. Jacor is ideal for business products and Gina Service Test, which is another offering from classy and is ideal for any help desk applications. So, for example, I T help just can use Gina Service test to manage the uh managed S. L. A's and other issues being raised by the employees within, within the organization, then what makes up Ajira software products. So let's see, what are the competent that make a bus offer project? First thing is the users. The team members within the project are the first competent for the software product Gino Software product. Then it's the issue, so as well as well discuss that a project is a combination of issues. So Issues is, is another are teething, which makes up so for project. So under issues it can be a story can be berg or tasks, sub tasks that are another company it off software project, then the underlying workflow or the process to move those issues from start to finish to process for eat task for the workflow is another part off software project. Then comes the versions. So as in a child development methodology, the key thing is to release working software in in you know, like incremental form and Du releases pretty quickly. So worsening off the work that you have allocated for another one or two months or three months is another feature or another, you know, like competent, that is part of the DJIA software project you bundle up the issues are the stories that you want to release as say, for example, version one or tow you. You'll took 10 stories, and then you are targeting those 10 stories as version one daughter to release in another three months. But that's sort of version ing, that is that also makes that is part of this data. So for public, then comes the competent. So in software development you have different components, like database. You are middleware. So all those different segregation within the software is is the competent that makes up the genus off their product as well. On the last thing is the data that is used for reporting on the project status. So when you when you create the user story of when you create the bug, you input the values within those when you're creating those issues. So the doctor that is stored for those key issues his makes up your reporting or its utilized for the reporting. Oh, for reporting off the project status. So these are the key components are the key things that make off your pure genius offer project. And now let's go ahead and see how you can create a genius software project. And, um, Gina application. Uh huh. Already logged in into the Jetta application. So I have installed Jiro software, which comes with Jill a core as well as Gina, a child. So, to in order to create a project, you just need to go at, do you go home and then click on the drop down on up on the project. You will see. Create project. All right, just click on it. Onda create project. Papa will open, and here you'll see that it has business. Um, section as well as the soft first section. So business section is what we were talking about. The DEA core functionality, which is available along with the geo software. And under the software, you see, scrums off for development combines off their development and basics offer development templates available. Right. So these are all the template. So the scraps off Khan bonds offer development and basic software development Are the templates provided out of the box from Colosseum from geo software and similarly under business. You see project management task management or process management. Are the templates available as part of the G record? Okay, so in order to create any project. You just need to sell it the template that you wish to apply. So, for example, if you want to create a software project to select a template that you want to use and hit next and we'll ask for which so basically the default, you know, like the shoe types that are available and then work floor and then just sell it, What do you want to create? And we'll ask further name off the project and key will automatically with set. So before I go ahead and create actual project will explain a few more things on this template here, Um, so you can see at the bottom there is a create sample daughter link and then create with York conflagration. So create sample daughter is something. So, for example, this is an evaluation version off the software. So if you want, if you don't want to create an empty project, if you're not doing the actual production, deployment our production copy off project creation, then just create a project with sample data. So I don't have to create all the issues or the sample records, stories and defects to learn around or browse around the soffit. Um, second thing is, uh, you can create project with a shared conflagration. What that means is, if you have an existing project already in your instance of Kira, then you can create a new project with all those shared configuration. It's a shared conflagration. Could be. So they're being like conflagration shared for the workflow issue types on all other, um, at the, um, a few more things that are that could be shared within the project. What that means is, yeah, you share those configurations then in future, if you're changing the configuration, then all the project which are sharing those configurations, for example, today you are using a workflow are simplified. Workflow are customized workflow for this product. My sample project and I create a new project. Using this configuration and two months down the line, I change the workflow to something customize it. I change some of the, um things in the workflow than the new project that will be created. We will also have the customer's order or the modified both flow. So that's that's better. Feeling like that are two pros and cons in creating project with shared conflagration, the third thing is you can import project right. A cheetah allows you to import product. It supports a lot of import result from the existing applications. For example, you can import from CS three or Microsoft Excel and other products like Rally Bookseller. If you have a project which is which is in bags illa for your buck tracking, you can select an import all the bugs into Gina as well. So that's the third option available. India for present creation. Right? So looks go ahead and create a scrum software development project. So I have selected cramps off for development. I'll create a blank project without any sample data or shared conflagration to do so that we can customized the conflagration in future if we want without impacting my existing product, which is my sample project. So I'll select scrum software development. Click Next, and it says it will have these issue types buck tasks up past story epic on the world, trouble with a simplified workflow and just select that and I would say just tragic. And just so you can see the key here, you can change the key if you won't want to trial, say tpp and submit And please? No, that only Gina administrator can create new project. Right? So you can see Project God created. And along with that, the jet aboard are the giant, You know, like tpp board got created as well when you have no issues at all because I create a blank project. So it doesn't have anything at all except the default. You know, that configuration, the world floor, Um, and stuff like that. This is all about basic understanding, our basic about project in Judah and how you can create project in ah, in the DDR software. So in the next session, we will learn more around, you know, like roles and responsibilities rolls groups for the for digital project. Thank you. 4. Installing Zephyr Test Management in JIRA: Hello, guys. Welcome to Gina. Training in decision. We will learn how to install Zephyr Test management in the Gina instance are in jail a software dating have installed on your machine. So you know that installed Zephyr test management. Just go to the gym home and click on the drop down here and click on a classy in marketplace. They will open the class in marketplace, and here you can search Zephyr in the marketplace to this type in Zephyr and then hit Enter so you can see Zephyr for Cheetah Test management is available. That's the first reason, and you have option for a free trial or you can buy the planet. So free trial is available for 30 days, so get getting in Elevation lies. And so I'll click on free trial and then accept terms and agreements and then the installation off Zephyr. But it it started to pull, download and install Zephyr in the instance. In your Gina instance, let's wait for some time. Violence installs. So by default, Dida software doesn't provide any test management management capability, so you have to get some Blufgan up to to do test management. India and Zephyr is by far, uh, developed. Most used test management plug in a little bit, but there are other test management plug ins available as well, Right? How practiced and a few others. So you need a free trial license, so you'll be predicted to monitor last time to get the trial licenses. Just click on, get license and just check. I have read terms an agreement and then click on Generate License. Yeah, and then click on apply license, All right, and now came back on the add ons page, and you can see the Zephyr for Gina is licensed and ready to go. All right, so this is available for 30 days so you can see my trial will be expiring on 11 May. Until then, I can use it for Teoh to go ahead and practice and learn test management. Angina. Now, after installation, you'd see the difference year. So after board, you can see the tests tab available, which is basically Zephyr Test management from, um for Cheetah. So to summarize, in decision will learn about what what Zephyr is. It's a test management plug in available for JIA and how to install Zephyr test management . Plug in in jail a software from the class in marketplace. Thank you 5. Adding Users in JIRA: Hello, guys. Welcome to Jiro Training. In this session, we will learn about Thira user rules and groups. So before we actually go ahead and start demo off, creating a user or a role project role or group injera stop there. It's very important to understand what exactly a user role or group stands for India. So a user is any person or any team member who will be logging into the Jeanine instants and a user will be counted towards your dealer license, I guess, or any person who is given access and his logging in will be counted towards a user. No. The second thing is groups. Which groups are multiple users within your instance that need the same application? Permissions. So grouping is important, Indira, because most of the time they'll be many eso in bigger organization, there will be many people will require similar sort of access to a particular project or to certain types of issues, or a limited amount of access of permission within the Jetta application, or to cheat, for instance. So the best way to do is, you know, the group, the people in particular, um group and then provide permissions to them provide permission to that group, which has limited access to the project or on today should talk. So this is, you know, groups are the multiple users within your instance, and the third thing is project roles. So Project role is a flexible way to associate users or groups with particular projects. So project role is more specific to project, and group is more of a global thing. So if you see product rolls are project specific, wild groups are global across the Gina application. So, for example, you want to limit access for the users within a specific project. And product rules are on the the, um, preferred way to do that because it build, restrict the user within those roles in a particular project. But if there is a group of people who want, uh, the access eulogy across the general global access across the whole Jiro application across multiple projects, then you need to group them into groups and then provide permissions to them to that particular group, UK. So let's see Onda Ah, let's see the demo off, how you can add users roles and group in the Jiro software. I've already I'm already locked in into the Gina instance or the Geo software that we have installed on the local computer. So in order to manage users, just go to the header and an extreme right. Go to the Jetta administration, The Cogdill on the Jura administration. You'll see user management. Okay, click on user management and you'll find the user management page open and under user management. You'll see users and groups available. All right, so to add a user so you can you need to have the either JIA administrator permission or GINA system admin permission to add or invite or create uses so you can invite users. So for inviting the User York SMTP conflagration needs to be enabled, so you need to have a 70 piece are configure to that. Email notification could be sent to the users once you type in, um, the email address. So since we haven't configured the same TP so you won't be able to invite the users at the moment, uh, we can create the users. So to create the user, just click on, create user, provide the email address of the users, and I'll just put just and then cultist use of one and then any like last word. So if you check this sent notification email and your SMTP configuration is is enabled. So which obviously would be when you were, you know, like deploying Gina for the production are for your enterprise. Since this is of elevation version, we haven't enabled SMTP. Then the notification email will be sent to the person on the email address that you have provided here. All right, and then us, you know, like by default. It gives access to the gyrus offer to the whole application. If it check this box, create another than the same window will be open and blue allow you to create another user . Okay, so the first years ago created continued test user one is created and the group name associate It is Gina software users Obaidi For once you create a user, it by default goes to the genius off for users group. Okay, Now there are multiple options. Are operations supported for the user so you can edit the user information So there are multiple things that you can a date you can edit the user name. You can edit name, email, address, etcetera and then you can edit the user group Do. You can add a user to a particular group so you can just start typing whatever group you want to add that user in and select that particular group. So Joint Selected Group and that user will be added in the other group as well. You can Azan administrator. You can add the new user in the different He was a group. You can't view the project role, and you can also delete the user from Princeton. Okay, now, second thing is to see how you can add new groups or click on groups. And then to add a new group, you can just say Just type in whatever new group you want to add. For example, Algeria Administrator have Jiro softer users. I want new group to be created for BJ's. In my condition. I'll just create Gina iPhone beer and click on add. And you can see the lobby group has bean at the with no users, so you can add new users and do not be different operations supported for the groups. You can edit members off that particular group. You can add new members. You can remove existing members if they are, and you can delete the newly added group as well, Right? So this is pretty much about adding users and groups and Judah oh, softly practice. I mean, in older versions off Jiro Soft you were. We used tohave rules here as well in under user management. But now, in the latest version, it has been moved to the system configurations. So, too, had the role you need to goto system conflict and search for project role under securities click on product role to here, you can see you can add new role so I'll say be a You want to add a new project role and click on Add President wrote. And New Product Road has been added. So as an administrator, you can edit it on deleted, and you can see the usage off that particular role. So that's pretty much about adding the user role. The project role groups and users injera software. Thank you 6. JIRA Homepage Introduction: Hello, guys. Welcome to Ajira Training in decision, we will learn about Gina homepage introduction. So, Gina hump, it is the page the first page available as soon as you logging into JIA software. Okay, so I'm logged in. And if you see the first page available is a page that I'm on at the moment on. That's the Jetta homepage. So we'll see. What? All are the key components to understand on the Cheetah homepage. Right. So the first thing that is available is dashboards. Uh, that Andi, if you click on the drop down, you'll see the system dashboard, and you can manage the new dashboards here. So if you go to manage dashboard, you can create or customize the new dashboard for yourself as well as you can share the dashboard with with your team. Um, the second tab is the project, which gives you access to all the current project, the recent project and and you know you can create or you can view our projects. You can import, extend project and create a new project. Then third time is the issues which is used to search for all the issues in your DEA instance. So you can filter issues, you can see the shoes reported by yourself, or you can manage the filters you can right the new filters with Jill, a query language or the basic filters, and then save those filters for yourself. Or you can share those filters with the other team members as well. The four tab is the boards. So which is scrum or can ban board for the projects that you have created order for the project you have access to in your Gina software. So, for example, the recent sport recent boards that you see are the boards that are associated with the two projects that that I have created in this instance. Ah, another tap is the test top what is available after I have installed the safer test management and execution plug in into the genera Instant into the Jiro software is still from the class in marketplace, so this test tab allows you to manage all your testing related artefacts. For example, your test cases, your execution cycle planning the test cycle. Creating the test case has seen the test metrics summary checking the traceability and all right and then in the bottom, you'll see different help options available for the Zephyr and the support. Then you see the create button here said Create button is used could create any issue, type and project. So, for example, you want to create issue in any product used to select the project and salad days to type that are supported by that particular project. If you want to create a story, task a pick or bug and select respective issue type. Provide the summary so you see the little star here. These are the mandatory fields you have to provide those in orderto create issue, provide the description and then create. If you select, create another, then it will create. We'll keep it will create the current issue and will keep their this window opened, with all information all relevant in from information pre filled to create another issue. Next icon in the header is the feedback, so you can provide feedback to a class in you have any updates? Are any improvements want angina, then is the cog wheel, which is the Gina administration. So this will be available only to the administrators who are and ministry Ajira in time, the jail administrator So I can see that Gina administration cog Will Andi. I can see the administration for the applications can do administration for the projects issues add owns. Um, I can do use a management, um, upgrade and system management as well. And then the last ah, tab is around the profiles. You can see your profile with the details in the profile. You can go to that last in marketplace and install any Adams or plug ins that are required for your project. You can see the dashboard, or you can customize the board, issue navigator and then the log out. But to know about from Tina. So, apart from that on the home page, you'll see a default system dashboard toe as soon as you log on the default board before dash boarded the system dashboard. You can see here, which has some of the gadgets available, for example, introduction and then assigned to me. Filter is available, and in the activities streams of activity stream shows any latest updates on the issues in the current project. org, for instance, then assigned to me is whatever is assigned to use. For example, what away shoo type will be assigned to. You will be listed in assigned to me gadget in the system dashboard. You can copy this dashboard. You can create dashboard, or you can find other dashboard as well. So that's pretty much, um, all about the Gina homepage and quick introduction worked. All important information is available or how you'll browse through the key information on the general homepage. Thank you. 7. Managing Dashboard and Gadgets: Hello, guys. Me, It's a clicking man is dashboard, and on a managed as board, you can see the favorite dashboard. There are any or your dashboard or in popular dashboard in the project, since at the moment there are no dashboard, it's showing as planned to create a new dashboard. You just need to click on create new dashboard button at the top right hand corner. Here I will ask for the dashboard named to this quickly. Just type in my first dashboard. If you want, you can provide the description. It's an option. Failed and start from a blank dashboard. Or you can select the system. Dashboard was there for dashboard. You want to start If you don't want to start from a blank dashboard for now, I'll start from blank dashboard because I want to set up totally different customized dashboard for myself, for myself on. Currently, there are no shares you can. If you want, you can favorite it will be our favorite passbook, Andi. Currently, it's not sure if you want to share the style boat with anyone you need to share. You need to add share here. You need to select either group project public, any logged in user and click on that at this plus add. But so if you click on that, be shared with the groups of for example, at the moment it shared with groups Gina administrators, right, so are Just leave it there and click on uh, so now you can see my first dies board has been created under favorite, and I'm the owner, and it's shared with a group known as Gina administrators. What all I can do with the dashboard. I can edit the dashboard again. I can edit the information in the dashboard I can delete, or I can copy the dashboard to create another custom dashboard. Right now, Let's go ahead and go to the dashboard and see what all is available on the transport to click on the passport, and you see, it's a blank dashboard with no information at all. So what you need to do is, and now you need to drag our ad the new gadget as per your requirement. Okay, so there are many gadgets available in general, so it's It's up to you. What reporting, or what information you want to see on your dashboard, which is relevant for the project at that on the passport to click on add new gadget and it put it, show you all the available credit. So if it doesn't list only, it will give you an option to Lord all gadgets. Click on that and will list all the gadgets that are available right to it. The 1st 1 is the activities dream. If you want to see the activity stream on your gadget, click on Add gadget right, and it will show you the activities. Dream for the Hughes in your project Now. The second thing is, I want to see what all issues are assigned to me. Click on that and we'll add that assigned to me gadget third gadget, which is very important to see the average age chart for the issues. So click on had Gadget and then I'll have one more gadget. I'll say filter results. All right. So I have added four gadgets on my dashboard, and now you need to customize, or you need to enable, um, these guarded to you need to, um, set up or configure discarded to get the information that you want. So, Phil Terrorism's I'll say all completed issues. So these These are the filters that are already created, so you can either select filter for MSP board or the Tragic Board are the custom filter that I created to MSP bugs or miss be all completed issues. Is are the filters that I created for all completed issues and bugs for a mystery project. So at the moment I'll select filter for must be bored. Andi will say number of results. I'll limited to five Andi, then the columns that you want to displace you. You can add or remove the columns that he won't display. Then, if you want or to refresh to happen on your dashboard, you just need to click on this check box update every 15 minutes, and it will auto refresh the dashboard every 15 minutes and then click on save. All right, so now you can see this filter results is available. All the results are available in this particular gadget. All right, now, the 2nd 1 is there is no filter provided to just click on Quick. Fine, I'll say MST. I'll say all completed issues Beard daily and then refresh in trouble is never You can select it, you know, in a 15 minute story minutes refreshing. Double what we want. Click on Save Tonight you can see all completed issues are being displayed. Um, the 3rd 1 is assigned to me. Um, click on save so it will list to stop, You know, like it will list the 10 issues that are assigned to me. Then the activity stream gadget. You can see that it's listing all the activities that are happening in the project so you can easily move these gadget just by driving. Dropping on the page. All right, so now you can see that your dashboard looks has all the information that you want to configure now. The next thing is, you can edit the layout off your dashboard if you click on Edit layout. There are different layouts available on the dashboard so you can have two columns. Are you know, like three columns, depending what all information you want and then easily drive and drop these gadgets in different columns to reorganize your God it and information that you want to see on the dashboard So it's It's up to your, you know, like the filters are the information that is required for you or for her members in your team that based on that, you add filters and you add cad, it's on your dashboard. So this dashboard is currently shared with Gina Administrator you want. If you want to share with particular user group, then you can share it. Or if you want to make it private, you can delete the sharing option and make it private just for yourself. So that is pretty much all about basic dashboard introduction. How you configure the dashboard. Thank you 8. Changing user preferences and profile information: Hello, guys. Welcome to zero training in decision. We will learn how you can change the user preferences and profile information. So I'm already logged in and in the previous session we have seen to create and customize the dash board time blocked in and under default dashboard that I have created. So in orderto change, the user profile or preferences, it just need to go to the top header extreme right corner and click on the profile so you'll see the profile listed here and on the profile. You see the profile summary. Have the avatar use the name administration, the full name email and everything other lister to contain the past, where you can clear on the token the groups that you are a member off. And then you can also see the project rolls right that under that you have the preferences paid size. Email time. What what email type you'll be getting. It's an STM l or text in the language of the time zone that you have set up, you are in the cellar for then the changes. So it's all all customizable to if you see if you want to customize the detailed this quick on this edit button here. Andi, if you're going to change my name, I say you and it will require password. If you're changing any profile information to just provide the possibility and then click on update, I can see my full name has been updated. All right, then, if I want to change the password, you just need to click on change Password. We provide the current current passport and said the new pass one klick on update and a new password will be updated. Right? Um um, under preferences, you want to change the preferences of, for example, number of issues displayed our page for yourself. If you want to change it from 50 to 25 or 200 just provide the number there. Email type. You can choose from text and TML language. You can change the stone. The language that you're that you want to choose at a time zone is the geo default time zone. So at the moment, it has picked up the default times on that arm and you can change the times on a swell then for for your changes, you don't want to notify. Notify that what it is set at the moment, you can change it to notify me for your changes, So sharing is unshared. If you want toe, share everything by default or beach in on a filter. Dashboard just changed to share even image. Cabo chart. Good are enabled. Toe. All these information or the preference information is being can be updated to this click on update and will be preference information has been updated successfully. All right, then there are other options. For example, you know, like you can view or access tokens or the filters. You can see what all filters are available to you on the activities dream on the pages were So that is pretty much all about your profile summary and what all can be edited in the profile summary on the preferences that you can change as as a Gina user. Thank you 9. Switching views and configuring Columns in JIRA: Hello, guys. In this session, we will learn how you can customize the view off certain issues injera, as well as how you can add or remove the columns for the third results for the shoes. So to get started, you just need to log in in Judah on at the home page or at the top. Just go to issues on click on Search for Issues. All right, so here you can see the search paid has opened, and by default, you see the this is the basic search available. So when you can select from the drop down project type that does, Oh, what the status issues in and who is the signing extra and search the results accordingly, Right? If I select the current user, take just filter the results based on the current user who's who's ever is the current user . And if I switch from basic to advance, then the advanced Jake you will search text books will be available where you can type the query to search the issues right. So I switched to basic and then we'll see how you can customized the view on this search results screen. So to customize the view, you just need to click on the tent type, change you, I can hear. So at the moment it's list of you. If you want a detail, you just select under this click on detailed view, right so it will switch. It will have multiple, you know, like two columns available. So depending on the issue that you select, it will give the detail off that issue as well. In the right inside, all right to change it back to the list real. Just click on list of you again. So that's how you change the view in the search results screen. The second thing that you can do on the search results screen is to change the columns that are listed to. For example, at the moment, if you see the type key summary assigning reporter priority status, extra columns are available. If you want to get more columns are you don't want some of the columns that are available now to be listed, you can just select on the columns and then uncheck whatever things are not required for you. So, for example, I don't want to see key to be listed, and then I don't want the updated, updated Call them to be listed right? I want and mourn Mint to be listed, and I want labels. Toby List right? You can choose what extra columns you want to see and what you want to remove. Just and check those and click on on the list will be updated accordingly. So you see the dude it then Mormon and labels columns unlisted. All right. Since there are no labels available for day shoes, it's trying us none. So that is, um, adding and removing columns in the search issues screen. Um, the other options that are available is share. You can share this ah, filter through email with with other people in the project are you can export the search results in printable or full content, or CSP or other supported formats that are available. I So that's pretty much about changing. The layout are the view in the search issues screen as well as updating. Adding new columns in the search results are removing the corns from surgeries of thank you 10. Atlassian Marketplace for JIRA: Hello, guys. Welcome to judo training in decision. We will learn about a classy in marketplace and how you can manage adults in your Gina instance are in your Jiro software. All right, so let's get started to go to a classy and marketplace, you just need to go to the header on top, right and corner. Click on the drop down here and click on a class in marketplace. So a class in marketplace is the marketplace. When you have third party add ons available to install injera instance, or which which have been developed by third party or even there are adults developed by class in between. Provide you an additional functionality with ingenious. So, for example, test management. There are many third party adults like Sefer, which we have previously installed in a private session, and other other tools has been like Practice tested is available. Ah, test rail. Add on is available toe Do the test management to enable test management functionality injera. Similarly, there are many other adults from third party, which are which are available as well. One of the popular one is the Cliffy diagrams, which is Tom provided, which is a paid plug in to do the diagram or toe create diagrams in general. Then you have outlook app. Guajira. You have portfolio. It is provided by a glass in. Similarly, there are many, many more adults available to do. Installing. Add on. It's pretty simply. If a free trial is available, you can just click on free trial. It wouldn't ask you certain details and just fill in the details. Create the license on start the free trial in your G two instance. So it's pretty straightforward. Nothing complex in that. If it is a paid Blufgan, you just click on by now and by the plug it and he stole pregnant. So once. Once you is told Adam, then you can go to manage Adan's here to see what has Bean already installed. And but they want you like you want to customize eight. Or you can edit and delete. Um, Dad owns that happiness. Told it's the loading. You can see that we have installed suffer for Jezeera in previous sessions, and now you concede Zephyr for Gina is available. If I, um expanded, then here you can see the option. You can either buy it because it has Bean. It's on evaluation. Version two, it's available for like 30 days. Um, after that, you have to buy. You can configure Zephyr from here You can install or disabled for as well. So if you don't want to use that on you can I'm disabled it Or if you want to totally get rid off it, then you can, you know, like click on uninstall right now. Then I go on, I'm fine. New? I don't. So there are a few more things years to search and add on you just click on um, the search box here, you can type in the the I don't name and hit. Enter and search for the I don't are you have the option here to select the highest rated R top crossing around all. You can choose the categories. So, for example, you're looking for crm are you're looking for you like design tool, a writing desk. Then just choose it from the drop don't. And if you want only free ones just, I think or free Anibal provide you the the I T help desk adults that are available for Gina . So zendesk support is an add on which has been provided for free for your Geo instance. If you want to go ahead and stop to elevate the service desk functionality, you can go ahead and do that. So that's that's pretty much about class in marketplace, the basic about it. Lasting marketplace and how you can manage, add, um, configure, delete or disabled, and I don't thank you. 11. How to write Test Cases in JIRA: well over one. Welcome to Jiro training. In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a test case injera. So as in previous sessions, we have already understood how you can enable test management angina. So there are many test management plug ins available injera marketplace. So what we have done is we have installed the most popular one, which is Zephyr, which enables the test management functionality with injera. And also, as we know, that injera every ah project is a collection of issues. So similarly, a test case injera is nothing but an issue type in case. For example, we have an issue type for a story. The rcep task etcetera to test case is another issue type in stories. So if you if you want to search for particularly like test case, you would just need to follow. I had a similar queries for basic and advanced search on replace the issue type has test to search for the for the test cases Injera. Okay, so let's let's get started on the navigation part of how you can go ahead and create diskettes. Eso creating this case is pretty straightforward. Go to the header and you'll find. Ah, just tab. So it Zephyr has been install. You'll see this test test. I just dropped down to this. Click on that and click on Create a test. So by default, um, and I had already selected a project. But ideally, the best way to do is to select the project first. For example, you want to create a project, create a test case in member project child, select the project on go to the test, drop down and click on Create a test. All right, I will create will open the create issue, Um, Paige and issue type you'll see Year is selected as test. So Zephyr plugging or any of the test management plug in. What they do is they Do they just provide another issue type assay test. And with some of the more functionalities for that particular test, for example, you, like expected results in actual results. So sort of providing the test case and test related functionalities within that temperate. All right, so I'll go through this template one by one, so you can see the project is member project here. Issue type is test on. You need to provide the summary and reported. These are the mandate refill. You see that little spread star here? So that means that these are the mandate Rayfield for creating this type of issue. Okay, so I would just say this is just this is first test case. I would just say book and any to select the confidence of. For example, at the moment, there are no competence defined, so it shows us none. But if you have companies defining the project like your database or you I so you can select the competence for which particular company in this test case belongs to, and then you can provide a bit of description for the test case in the description section here, um, you can fix was and you don't need to worry about our if if required. If you know that you are working towards any fixed version or the release version. For example, this particular test case relates to a story which is planned for the version three. So you can just select the fix version as three here, then priority eyes another in like you need to select the priority of this test case depending on what is the priority. Uh, this particularly in like a test case. You need to select that Andi labels you need to provide the label to its reform feel. Oh, are you can create the label speech are relevant to this particular test case, or you can select the existing labels to attach to this test case. Then, under linked issues is something very important for the traceability feature off that that you need for the test cases or any any any discusses that you write, you need to have traceability back to the requirement. So if you select relates to link issue and then select the issue types of, for example, you can say this issue type or distress case relates to this, uh, users to reporting you just like that and there will be a traceability or there will be a link off these test cases. Below that, you just story and you can see whether the number of test cases that we have written for that particular user story are sufficient are good enough to cover that functionality as a whole. So this is very important features or linking the issues today story so that you can have the traceability backward to the with the requirement and then assigning You are creating the test case. If you if you so usually you like, it will be a reviewer if you want to get she was reviewed with, a business analyst said, You can assign it to other yourself initially and then assigned to be a for the Tribune. Once you are done with the test case, then epically is another traceability. Features are as you have Linda issue to the story. The good thing is to assigned at Big Link as well for that particular test case. So you know which predict. A particular epic has been covered as part of the, you know like that Descartes, which which ah, epic epic is being, um, addressed by that particular test case. And then Sprint is the current sprinter. If you're falling a child development methodology, then you need to select the Sprint. When you are designing this test case. So most probably will, um, the active sprint you within which you're working on, Um, and then you need to provide those effort test steps you need to provide the test stepped as data and expected results of testing, uh, would be something like you're super example by user is table to launch number. Um, what size and then for the data will be the you are all of the best site deprived that in data column and expected resulted is user, um, should be able to the side. And are you bro's mention? Yeah, I guess. So that's that's high levels, you know, like step. Just click on add, and then you can keep adding, bugger test steps to this desk is so once you are satisfied that everything all the information is fine. In the state's case, this court gone create but here and you'll see that your first test case has been created and Judah so to go ahead and see the details around that. So you continue. You know, the fixed version is there. The type is their priority that you have selected. If you want to modify that later after creation, it's pretty easy. You can just click on this pencil icon and select a change. Change the details for the priority Onda bush and extra. Similarly, for the test details, you can edit the test steps. You can add more test steps or you can delete or re reshuffle on the test steps off, for example. You want to you, like moved this first test to second number on you want to add one more step at the top, then you can do that. So and then under issue links, you can see that this test case is linked to the user story. Amobi 14 I told that gives you a bit of good traceability feature so you can ensure that that particular story has been covered with ample number of test cases and there is nothing missing. All right, so this is ah, all about creating the test case in Jena. In further stations, we will learn more about the cloning off the test cases. Thank you. 12. Cloning Test Cases in JIRA: well over one. Welcome to Gina training. In this tutorial, we will learn how to clone test cases injera. In previous tutorial, we have learned how you can add new test cases. Injera. So let's get started and see how you can clone the test cases. So to clone the test cases, go to the head of the top on click on the tests, Dad, and search for the tests to first thing you have to do is you have toe first, find the test case that you want to clone so you can do it from here by using certain tests , or you can directly start typing the issue case of for example, I want to update issued 24 m A B 24 I can start typing back in the search box here and police that test case you can select the test case from here are you can select the test case from the overall search results. All right, so now on this test case page, you'll see the option to clone now clone. Why's clone feature important? So in testing world, most of the time you will see that there is the test tips Oh, are you know, like the test step for the test cases might be similar for some set of test cases. For example, admin user logging. Okay, there could be member user log in as well right there, though there could be logging based on different roles for a particular porter. Okay, so log and feature for different roles. Most of these steps and the description will be similar. Apart from the tester, attest daughter, that you are providing night. So, for example, that the current distance that you see verify admin user can log into Moomba portal. The another test case for Logan could be verify member user can log into number report. Okay, So instead of writing everything from scratch, there is a clone feature. So it will clone all the details that you have in the current test case, and you can update the relevant information that is required or that is relevant for the member logging because that's the key concept behind the clone feature provided by Zephyr. So in order to clone, just click on the clone, but in here, and it will open the clone a pop up window. And there are two options clone links and clone sprint value. Okay, so if you select clone links than all the issues are, all the links that are present in this particular current test case will be cloned. In the new test, cases were okay. If you clone this print value, then the sprint well is. For example, the current Sprint said for the admin test case will also be cloned in the new test is if you d selectees, then these values won't be clone, so I'll select both and then click create. All right, so to change it toe member just case. I'll just remove that clothing and I'll change. Verify member user can long into member Porter. Save it, and in the steps, you just need to change. They step two and provide member and similarly here. Just make sure member users should be able to log successfully and provide the member user name and password in the test data. So I'll change it to number. Use any just update. So that is, that's all you needed to change or to write new test case for the member users logging. So you have saved a lot of time by cloning the test case from the admin test case and changing it to the member user log in test case. All right, So, as you can see, we have selected the links check box so you can see the issue. Links from the previous, um, discus are already available in the new test cases. Well, and also the sprint value. Okay, if you say, like, if you try to clone without the links and cloned sprint value and create a new issue so we'll see a new shoe got created. But you don't see any sprint value here. And there are no issuing the story link that was previously present in the previous test case. You can't see that The only link that's available is the link further dsk's from which we cloned this particular no, this case. All right, so that is all about the cloning feature. Injera. In the next tutorial, we'll learn how to search test cases and do the bottle changes to the test cases. Thank you. 13. Searching Test Cases and doing bulk changes: Hello, everyone, Welcome to general training. In this tutorial, we will learn how to search the test cases and do bulk changes to the test cases. Injera. So, in order to search your issues, any type of issues in general, you can either go to the issues time but the tops and click on search for the issues. Take will open the search page and you can select the project for which you want to do the search or you can select all the project. So this is all the basic filter that that you can use to search for any issues of. For example, I want to search the test cases in Moomba project. I'll just select the project and I'll select the type as just that will list all the test cases under number project. And that's the simple search that you can basic source that you can use. No, there is another option if you have installed there for and you want to search the test cases only so you can search through the Zephyr. Plug in as well to just goto the tests. Yeah, but the top and you can click on search tests. So which will list the same result. Um, as you have done for the basic search. If you're going certainly issues through the basic search, then you have to select the project and on the type as test. Otherwise, you can directly go to the tests on search for the tests within that project and girl by default. Select those filters for you. The project and the test is a project. A selection comes from the project that you are in at the moment, as you can see current project that I have selected this member project. So by default, um, that is populated here. If you go for searching the test cases right now, the second part in the tutorial is to do the bulk changes and see what operations are available for the test cases when you try to do the bulk changes and what are the advantages off doing the bug kidneys. So at the moment, I have served all the test cases in the member project, so let's see what all operations are available for the book changes. So to do bulk change, you just need to click on the tools Cogdill and Extreme right in corner and click on all six issues. Okay, it lest the test cases that you have. So it depends, you know, like how? Which? How many test cases you want to do the bulk change for so you can select all. Or you can select some from the list. So, for example, for last two test cases, I want to change the assigning so I can just sell a glass, too, and click on next. I can say headed issues right, and here you can see the operation details, right, so you have different options available. So let's see assigning feel, because I want to change the assigning for the last two issues. So I'll click on change, assigning and then change it to maybe all right, and then click on next and confirmed So you'll see editing two issues. Bulk operation is in progress and 50% complete. So now it's complete bulk oppression is 100% completes of those two issues. You have changed the signing, so that should be updated. Toe click on acknowledge. All right. And now you can see there are two test cases. Um, I mean, three test cases assigned to marry the last 21 are the ones which we did through the bulk update. All right, now, let's try some other options. Uh, select the issues. Or maybe I'll sell it just one that is assigned to John Quick. Next, I'll explain what all options are available when you click on edit. So what are our options are available in the edit issues you can see. You can change the issue type if you want to. You can change the priority fix version or the effective version. You can change the competent in bulk, so rather than changing it one by one, you can ad competent involved are changed a competent in bulk. For the test cases, you can change the assigning in public. You can change the reporter rather than going and changing the reporter or signing one by one. If you would know that you want to assign 15 test case or 20 test cases toe particular tester and your team, you can directly select all those 15 and changed assigning you can change the environment. So, for example, you want to run particular test cases in, um, Windows with I Internet explorer and then you want similar task is to be executed in Mac on DSA Afari combinations. Who can change that? Those details as well? You can change the due date. You can change the comment or labels, Um, epic link or this print so there are multiple options available when you can select the values that you want to change in bulk for the test cases, I'll go back and see the other options available. Father about change if you could. Next, you can see you have the option to move issues as well. All right, so you can move issues to new project and issue types. So, for example, you have another project and you want to move the current issues or move the current test cases to the new project. Then you have the possibility to do that. For example, if I click on movie shoes and click next now, you can see current is a member project, and then you can select the project that you want to move it toe. So, for example, I want similar test cases to be executed for member app as well, so I'll select member at and then you have a mapping off the type off the issues of currently we are working on the test cases. So map test cases to the test, um, the select default test and then click next. And it will move the current six test cases in mumbo Moomba project to a new project which is member app. So you don't have to write all these test cases again in member ABS. You can just move it and updated according to the requirements for the number again, because almost functionality functional test cases will be kind of similar beat, you know, like an app our website. So you can you can leverage the current test cases to, um two for for your app as well. Okay, I'll cancel this operation as well. And let's have a look at the other option operations available. You can transition issues. The transition issues is transitioning the workflow. So, for example, you want to bulk change the status of the workflow off off the issues. For example, test cases are currently, um, in to do status, and you want to change it to in progress. All of the test cases you can select in progress are you want to move it to done, then select that done and follow the workload to change it to done all right. The next option available is to delete the issues, which is pretty straightforward. You can permanently delete the issues. Injera. If you have administrator access or delete permissions toe bulk relation, it's possible. So, for example, there are some test cases which are not relevant anymore, and the project. You can select those in bulk and delete those issues. Fifth option is of watch issues. What issues Very important you are. You are working as a test manager or test laid in a project on you want to see what all updates are going in the issues or in the test cases. Then you can select the test cases in bulk and select watch issues, and you will be able to get notifications off all the updates happening in those particular test cases or the issues that you, um, subscribe yourself for the water issues. Stop. What you're watching issues is another straightforward, um, option that you can stop watching issues that you have previously selected to watch, and the last option is to adding the test cases to cycle so as as you know you like in tougher testing lifecycle. You create the test cases, Um, you have the test preparation work, and then there is once you are prepared with the test cases, though, test cases are, um, approved by the beers or the stakeholders. Then you execute those test cases on the build versions that are available for the product . So in order to execute, you need to create the test cycle and add the test cases in the particular cycles. For example, version one version toe version. Trees like that so you can act as cases in bulk to particular cycle rather than dragging, dropping or adding one by one. So you select add task. Is it to a cycle so you can select the project for which you want to add the test cases? You can select the version. So, for example, I want to test aversion to and the cycle is online to that one. I want to say all these test cases are the U. Y. Test cases, so I'll select the folder as you watch US cases and confirmed, and all these test cases will be added to the test cycle. Gets a bulk operation once it's complete this technology. So all these test cases will be added to the test cycle. So these are all you know, like bulk operations available for for the test cases specifically or any other issue type angina. In the next session, we will learn how you can export test cases from Jura and water. Different export options available. Injera. Thank you. 14. Exporting Test Cases in JIRA: Hello, everyone. Welcome to Jiro training. In this tutorial, we will learn how to export test cases out of jail. Tujia supports export off issues or any type of issues that are supported. So, for example, story bug toss cept us, we can create the filter for a particular issue type and then export. Um, those are those issues out of Gina. So in this tutorial will specifically see how you can export the test cases and defects out of terror. So process wise, you know, like it's it's same. It doesn't matter what issue type you're exporting as far as you are able to search the issues. So in order to export issues, the first thing you have to do is either eyes search the issues, so go to the issues. Drop down and click on search for issues and applied appropriate filter to search the issues. For example, you want toe search issues in the member project and you just want to export the test cases right to the cilic the test and go to the export option in the right 10 corner here so you can see different export options available are printable full content. If you want to print the export, you can click unprintable and it was open. It wouldn't present to the printable former off the current issues or the current tests. If you want the full content, then just like the full content and it will list the full content off the, um, test cases. All right now, the third option is the RCIs feeds. If you have feeds, install, then you can select arses option and you'll get updates off off the distances. Next is the CSB, so you can export CS. We either all the fields off the test cases are the current field, so whatever current means that are listed all the columns that you see here on Lee the current fields will be exported if you select the current finance option. If we select all fields, then it will export the details test case with all these steps and similarly, it's TML. Export is also supported with all fields or with the current fields. Another export options selected is the XML, and the next one is the word. So you can basically export the test cases in any format that you want either world or CSB in terms of like testing team or as a test leader manager. You would mostly use either world export or a CS. We all feed into the current fields, which is mostly required if you're sending the list off issues. The open issues for the tree as toe team, which is it is sometimes required. Or most of the time, you will be able to use Gina Tool toe. Do it collaborative, um, effort toe manage within Gina. But sometimes you need to export issues and presented to other stakeholders or other team members. So in that case, you need you need export option. The last option is the dashboard charts. So, for example, I want to see what all test cases in member project are there on all the updates in my in my dashboard so I can click on the dashboard chart and I can say, save to dashboard, I I'll say all cheese test cases for remember project, okay, and then just save it and you will see all test cases. Gadget is available on my dashboard. All right, well, I can see all the just this case is that are being created in my project in member project . Um on my dashboard, and I can keep an eye on one of those. The second way to do that, you know, as as we also covered this, that you can either search for Goto issues and search for issues and select the project and issued diapers test. Or if you just want to search for the test cases in a product, just select the project, Um, and click on the ah Surge tests, okay, and we'll list the same um, test cases within that project. So exporting is not limited to only desk cases are any other issue type. It's basically supported similar functionality for all. They should types injera so you can export any issues. For example, there are currently 77 issues among with some are stories, some are defects. Some are tasks on some of the test cases. So if you want to export all of the issues that are there in the member project, you are in all all the projects. At the moment, it's it's all selected or you can select the particular product. So that option is also available and export options are almost similar. So it all depends on what export or what criteria you want to be exported. So, for example, you want toe export only defects than you. Create a filter for the defects within the project or multiple products and export that if you want to only export test cases, you want to you create a filter for testes and an export. Or if you want to export issues with with multiple issues with different statuses than you write a filter or query to fulfill that criteria and export. Um, those, uh, those issues out of here. So that is Ah, pretty much all about the exporting feature off Gina and exporting test cases or any other issue types out of Kira. In the next tutorial, we will see how you can search. Sorry how you can share the issues or the search filters within, but in the team. Thank you. 15. Sharing issues and search query with Team Members: hello over one. In this tutorial, we will learn how you can share the search queries and search filters with other team members in your project. So in order to share the search queries off filter, the first thing is you have to learn how to query. They choose. Or the test cases are different type of issues within the project or within multiple project. So to search the issues, it's simple. Just goto the shoes at the top and click on Search for Issues. So at the moment you are at the basic search option for all the projects. So by default, all the project all issue type status and assigning is selected. So if you want to filter a specific type of issue with particular status than you can change the details from the drop down to a select number project on, I'll select the type as bug and test cases. And I would say status has just, uh, open ones. All right? No, as you can see that currently there are nine issues among with six other test cases, and three are the defect. For example, you want to share. Although open test cases, Andi defects with some of the team members. You can ride that particular filter using the drop down and click on the share button at the top right hand corner. So once you click on the share, it will share this filter link with the person that you specify in the user name or email field, so you can specify the email as well are you can specify the user once you start typing the user is our talk for Pilate from the user details if the user exists in general. Otherwise, you have to type in the email in order to share this filter ling. Okay, um, and if you want to delete the person that you have added, you just click on the small icon Delete icon to delete that person. You can also add the note, which is an option of field. If you want to specify particular details, you can specify those details in the note and click on share, and that will share this particular filter with the team member. All right now, the second part of this tutorial is how you can save the filter so you have created the filter and you want to save a particular filter for your future reference, right? So at the moment you see that savers option at the top. So if you want to save this particular filter, then just click on, save us and provide the filter name. So I'll say all open test cases and bugs for mobile project. All right, and click on Save. So now you can see all open test cases, and bugs from a project filter has been saved, so that is saved and it's available in your favorite filters. Now, if you want to create a new filter, just click on new filter here to reset the previous filter, and you can start creating the new filter. So I want. If you want to see all the open issues in all the project, you can just select the, um, the status as to do, and that will list all the open issues in all off the project and, in the end, ajira so you can save that filter as well. Um, okay, toe. All the filters that you save are available in the favorite filters here. We can t miss be bugs, or it must be all completed issues all open issues so you don't have to write the filters again and again. All the filters, which are frequently used by you, are by your team. It's always good toe. Add those filters and then share those filters within the team so that they can use it across across the project. And you don't have to write or the team members don't have to ride filters again and again . So that is pretty much about how you can write a filter on and share at the filter among the team in the next tutorial will learn about creating test cycles in general. Thank you. 16. Creating Test Cycles in JIRA: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn how to create test cycles injera. In previous sessions, we have understood how we stole Zephyr test management plug in, and then how to add this case is already test cases are clone test cases. So once you have created the test, cases on the test cases are approved by the business analyst or the relevant stakeholders for the particular released, then you need to create the test cycle and do the execution. You you need to create test cycle for a particular release version off off the bed and then add those test cases in that version, do the execution and marked the test cases as parts of fail, depending how the build is behaving. So do it start creating the test cycle. This will be mostly taken care by the test lead over the test manager off the project and to create the test cycles. Just need to go to the top header on click on the tests top and click on plant test cycle. Right now on the plant s cycle, you'll see that there are the release is available. Right releases are basically provided or created by the project administrator, orgy era project administrator or dear administrator. So these releases has to be there in in Jena in order to for you to plan the test cycle to , for example, version 2.0 release has already been created by the project administrator, and it's available to version $2 or three. DATO PHOTO. All these releases are unreleased and are available so we can plan on our test cycles for these particular versions, which are unreleased. So to create a test cycle, you just need to click on this create cycle. The plus I can't hear and will open the cycle. So you need to select the version under which you want to create a new cycle and just create. Just provide the name off the off the cycle you're creating. So I'll say a society cycle one good. And then, if you want to provide the detail or any description for the cycle and one mint details, for example, I would say Windows plus high for all the you I related ah, excuses and then select the date from and to date for which you want to do the execution. So that's optional. It's up to you whether you want to provide the date or not and click on save. Okay, so you can see sit cycle one has been created to If you go to the version toe Oh, you can see online to don't want and sit cycle one below that has been created night. Now what? Our options are available for the cycle that you create, So if you click on that particular cycle, you can add the test cases to the cycle. You can add folder below that you can edit the cycle delete cycle. You can clone the cycle as well and explored the cycle. So adding the test is basically add the sit test cases below this particular cycle. So, for example, a society will have ah, combination off. You know, like the white just places middle betters cases. You can create different folders for those test cases, um, and then add those test cases within that cycle so I can say, I'll add you I folder below, sit cycle one and then add another folder for middleware and then add this cases to these folders. So if you just click on add test and then to start selecting the test cases from this drop dominant that you want to add in this particular folder under that cycle, child selling 25 26 whichever are applicable for the you are just select those test cases pretty easy and then assigned assignment is pretty easy as well you that you can either assigned to yourself or to the person in the team. So as a test lead, you'll be planning the test cases and then assigning it to the particular member off. Your teams are just select. For example, these test cases need to be executed by married Select a person who want whom You want to assign these test cases for execution and click on that all right, and you can see four test cases Have Bean added under the U I folder off Assaidi cycle one , and they stared, destroying as un executed and sign ease. Maybe so. Now Mary will get notification that these poor test cases have been assigned to her, and she will take care of the execution off these particular test cases under six cycle one . So this is this is all about creating the test cycle injera editing the cycle, deleting the cycle and adding folder below the cycle and adding test cases and assigning the test cases to a particular tester within the project. In the next tutorial, we will learn how you can execute test cases injera. Thank you. 17. Executing Test Cases in JIRA: well over one. In this tutorial, we will learn how to execute test cases injera. So as in previous editions, we have learned about Zephyr test management plug in adding the test cases, cloning test cases, etcetera, adding cream, adding the test cycle and then pulling out the test cases in those test cycle. So the next step once next step in that test cycle is to execute those test cases that once you have pulled out the test cases in test cycle, then you need to execute those test cases and see whether the particular build satisfies the criteria or the requirements defined for that particular story off for that particular bill. Okay, so in order to execute the test case, you need to you need to spine the test case so either you can do the ad hoc test execution . Or you can go to the test cycle and see the test cases that are assigned within the test cycle and assigned to you as a member of the team. And then they start execution from there to do the ad hoc test execution. You just need to go to the Tests tab at the top and search for the tests. Okay, so now it will list for all the test cases within. Within the project, you need to select the project for which you need to find the test cases. So, for example, I want to see I want to execute. Verify member users can log in to member. Remember, where portal open that test case and you'll see the execute button at the top. Okay, To execute the test case, you just simply need to click on that execute button and you'll see that execute ad hoc option available and add to existing test cycle and execute. So, in case you do an ad hoc execution for this test case Aziz, part of delegates. If it is not part of any execution test cycle than you, select the ad hoc execution and then assigned to yourself and click on execute so it will open the execution page. I will show you the execution status and assigning as yourself so as I assigned distress case to myself. So assigned to field has been updated, and I'm the signing off this test case. Right. So now you can see all the test details listed here so you can start with Step one and start the actual test execution and open the test. You are ill and see whether the log in page is displayed or not. If it is displayed in the in the Internet Explorer, you can just select the past. Fail our whatever outcome off that particular step is. So, for example, it past, I'll select, pass and save. Okay, then the second step is you enter the member user name and password and see what happens next. So if the second step failed, then select the food and save they status. No white failed. You have the option to enter the comment so you can directly type in your comment and save the comment and also enter the attachment from here. Add the attachments directly are, um, basically pieced of the image as the attachment it would save in the attachment section off this step. Now you can directly enter the issue in this particular step as well. You can create new issue directly from this step because if I could create new issue, it will open the create issue page. You select the bug and provide all the summary ample automatically in that provide summary All the description What you noticed for that particular step and create issue people create an issue and assign the issue number Ah, linked to the issue number here. Okay. Or if you have already created an issue, you can directly start typing glacier number and into the defected and will save that link the defict ling for that particular step. Once you're done with execution, then just changed execution status, save it and that. So your execution has mean ID card it with all the details that you have provided and you see that execution has bean captured as part of unscheduled at hook execution. If you go to to the details here, you see the unreleased there is untrue dude folder on there is ad hoc executions with your test case will be marked as field until the and hook cycle. All right, now, the second option to do the execution is to go to the test cycle. Okay, so we can go to the plant s cycle and we have planned some test cycle inversion to write, for example, aside to cycle under you, I you can see the test cases that have been planned already So, for example, these five test cases have been assigned to Mary, and then she can go to the U I under aside to cycle one and click on this E. Um, I can hear but in here, and it will open the test execution page. She will go through the test execution and mark the test case has passed or failed. Um, the next option in the execution is to add the test case so previously well, so you can execute as an ad hoc the other ways. Also, to add the test cases. As you start execution, do you open the test case, and when you click on execute, you can add distress case to an existing test cycle and execute. So, for example, you want to add it to worsen, too into online toe that one cycle and you are test folder and then assigned to yourself and start execution. To this way, it will add that particular test case in that, uh, in the plant cycle, and then you can execute the particular test. So once execution is done, you market eyes either pass or fail and then go back to the just cycle and you'll see, the status has been updated into the test. Cyclist passed. All right, so that is all about test execution. Injera. In next tutorial, we will learn how to create favorite search filters in, um, Jenna. Thank you. 18. Creating favourite search filters for Test Cases: well over one. In this tutorial, we will learn how to create favorite search filters, injera and then what? All operations are available to the search filters once you save the filters. India. So in previous sessions, we have already gone through, creating some of the basic search queries and then save those as filters. So this session it will be kind of Ah ah, refresher for the previous some of the previous topics that we have covered, as well as a few more things on our own filters. So to get started toe search for issues or to create the filters, you would need to go to the issues tab at the top on click on Search for Issues So it will from this search page will be able to search all the issue types, um, for all the project or any status extra if you just want to create. If you don't just want to search the test cases, you just need to go to the Tests tab and click on the search tests, which will list only the test cases by default. So we'll go back to the issues search for issues which would list all the issues in the project. And in order to search, you just need to provide the criteria in the drop down. So this is the basic search, wherein you'll get all the drop down. So, for example, project type etcetera, you just need to select the criteria that you want to search for. So I'll say all open issue types in all the project doesn't matter whom they are assigned to. And if I want to select more criteria than just click on, the more drop down here on and select the criteria that you won't do choose. So I'll said, Created date and then said, like Creator as well. So it's up to you what criteria you want to add as part of the basic search in order to search for the issues Toe Creator, I'll say current u za that will list all the issues that are created by the current user. So this is this is a basic query, depending on what requirements you have to filter the shoes or create the query for, and then you can save this query with certain name. So I'll say all open issues created by me, alright and just save the filter, and now you can see that favorite. That same filter has been listed in the favorite filters field. Once the filter is saved, there are options to you know like you can do. You can rename it. You can copy it are you can remove it from favorite or daily to the These are some of the operations available once you save the filter. The other option in Gina search is the advanced search. So advanced search is a search using to deal a query language or J cuba so you can provide the deal. A query language. I can write your own query in form of Terra Query language to do the complex search within genera, which will take up in for decisions in detail. So once you have created the filter saved the filters. You can see all those filters under the issues tab. If you click on that, you see the filters option here, and you'll see all the filters that we have created, listed under under under the Filters section. Now, to manage the filter, just click on this. Manage filters our link and will open manage filled this page to see favorite filters. There you'll see what your filters are. Um, what are the popular filters? And you can search for the filter. So, for example, I want to search for, uh, Miss B uh, filter, um, containing criteria containing text as MSP this Quicken. Just type msb in search and then click on search and will open all the filters containing MSP in the name, um, other options available to, for example, you want to edit particular filter. So Goto all, for example, all open test cases and bugs for member project. At the moment, you can see I'm donor who, and it is currently shared with the logged in users. So to edit the filter, just click on this Coughlin and click on Edit on. You can edit the name you can edit the sharing options you want. Don't want to share this filter. Just I believe that and save the filter. Okay, The other option is to subscribe, so if you click on subscribe, you can personally subscribe the particular filter, and it will send you the daily status based on the schedule. So, for example, if you want to send the details of the shoot for this particular filters for example, and you want a daily notification, then selected Select schedulers daily or you want ah to select the particular days for which you want to be notified and then click on. Subscribe. So once you subscribe, you'll get a notification off all the open test cases on bucks for Mumbai project on every day on that particular time that you have subscribed for, there are the other option in subscription is you can do a subscription for other groups are other roles. For example, GRB or Jiro Software user. You can provide the whole group and the whole roof will be notified for that particular filter are the list of issues with net filter at that particular time off the day. So that is pretty much all about the creation off the search filters, saving it and all the operations that are available for the particular filters. Thank you. 19. Introduction to defect template in JIRA: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about defect template injera. So to start with this, click on create button at the top and it will open. Create issue template. All right. And depending on the issue type the template feels are configurable or configured to. For example, if you want to change the issue typed task things will be different. If you all know is you change, they should type the story. The field will be different. So in this tutorials they learn about bugs template. So if you sell it, they should type is Buck will open the buck template in the create issue, so we'll cover the details off this template one by one. So the first option, which is mandatory, is the project you need to say, like the project for which you want to create a buck, The issue type you need to sell it toe. If you said that bug issue type, all the fields or all the sections in the create issue will be updated as but the buck template, and you need to provide the summary of the issue and reportable by default, populated to the current logged in user and If there are companies defining the project, it will list the competence here we need to do. You need to describe the issue whatever issue you are facing and then in the description you have to provide they steps to reproduce expected results. Actual results in the fixed version. It's ah basically utilized by the development manager when the accepted effect and which version that if it will be fixed in and then this it and then you select the priority labels and one man which test in one minute You found the showing or what conflagration you were testing with and you brought all those details in the environment section. If there are logs to attach or the screenshots to attach this dragon, drop the files here or browse the files to attach in the defect, you need to provide the affected worsen. So, for example, you are testing version $2 0 you need to select version to Dato in the drop down. Then you need to link the issues that this is very important toe have the traceability. So for example, you are you are you have the test case. You are already executing a test case on the test case failed, and you're raising the issue for that particular test case. Then you link that particular test case and the related story a bit. This defect. All right then assigning is someone who will be the only she will be assigned to. For example, if the competence were defined and you are choosing the competent and the competent lead was already set up injera than a sign, E would would be automatic assigning. Otherwise, you have to manually a sign it do either development manager or the particular developer whom you want this issue to be to fix. Then epic link is the high level epic. If you want to, um, I sign the defect. You just need to provide the link. Epic link here on Sprint is the current sprint. So, for example, you're working on a story which needs to be done in this particular sprint. Then you need to provide the current sprint for this defect on the other option here, you can see, is create another. So if you choose that box chilled, choose that check box and create it will create that particular issue and leave this window open with all the information Amanda trained for Mission pre filled so that you don't have to type in information again and again. No, this create issue template this kind of common across different issue types in Jena. But you can highly customized it. So, for example, for bug you might need certain more feels which are not required for story. So, as as a cheetah administrator, you can add remove the fields that are required for a particular issue time. So these other default fields that are available for bug. But you can configure those fields as as ah, Gina Administrator. Also, as a user, you can configure the fields, whichever you don't want to see on the defect template. So at the moment, all the selected. But you can select the custom and you can choose, which feels you don't want to see in the template for your if it so that is pretty much all about default. But template in Judah. In next tutorial, we will learn how you can log defects injera. Thank you 20. Logging defects in JIRA: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn how to log defects injera, so logging defects is pretty simple and straightforward. You just need to go to the top header and click on this. Create button. Once you click on Create will open the create issued template, and you can select issue type as bug toe by the fall bugs selected the select. The project for which in which you want to raise this defect and select issue type is but bride. The defect summaries. I'll just say just in effect on by default, it will select the current logged in users as the reporter. If there are confidence than so select the competence of. For example, this defect is related to database. I'll tonight the database competent here provide the description in the description you have to provide steps to reproduce expected result on actual results, so provide all the details. I don't need to worry about the fixed version, um, need to select the priority if there are labels suggested. For example, there are you this. This depict is associative the particularly in light table type O. R. The database linking issues and provide labels around those which make it simple to search for this pretty. These particular issue types, then in under environment section you abroad, then moment details. If there are attachment pride attachments on da linked issues, it is linked to a particular test case or story. Provide the details from that Andi Pride, the Sprint or a pickling, and then pre it will create that particular effectivity. That issue has been successfully created, and you open that it's a type off bug on. All the details have been populated all right, now, as a tester ideal, ideally, I mean, most of the time. What you'll be doing is you'll be logging defects as and when you are executing the test cases rather than creating the defect randomly. So I'll also show you how you can, um, love defect as and when you are doing the test execution, using the safer test management plugging so in the previous Chechens we have already seen how you have, how you can create the test cycles will directly go to the test cycle that we have created , and here under you are you can see there are certain test cases that I have added to execute right so as a destiny, Really? Just go ahead and execute the test cases that are assigned to you so to in order to execute , Just click on this E. I can't for the test that you want to execute and start with the execution. So if you start with the first steps, open number log in. You are in Internet Explorer Just opened this you Earl and see worse. There actually result what's expected and most actual. So if that Diggler you are all didn't launch, it failed. So he just marked The status has failed into the comments why it failed. What were the what was the reason? If you have any attachment logs a task does on Dhere in this defect section you can directly, um, mentioned the previous defect. If you have already loved are you can create a new shoe directly from here. So this click on create new shoe and will open same create issue template Select a should type is bugged, provide all the details destroyed does yes, but and then click create. So now you can see the defect has been created and it has been linked against that particular step. Okay, Now, if you want to link the same defect in the overall test execution, then you have a defect. Section it just type in. Start typing in MLB 35 just link that particular in effect. You. I wonder. Andi, change execution status Overall execution status to Okay, now, if you go back to the you are competent here, you can see that status has been marked, has failed. And the defect that you have linked has been linked here. And you can see Emma be 35 is linked. And at the step level, you can see the defect as well as overall test Ever. You can see that particular Linkous of in Good. So this is pretty much all about logging defects, Injera. In next tutorial, we will learn about the defect. Lifecycle injera. Thank you. 21. Defect lifecycle in JIRA: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about the defect lifecycle injera. So as you know that there are some default workflow, or life cycle provided in Gina, which can be utilized for different issue types. Toe, for example, your story and task and sub task might follow a different process from start to finish as compared to defect. For example, defect lifecycle would be completely different from story or task. So to cater for that, Gina provides option off different work clothes that can be assigned to different issue types. So as a default configuration interior there are, There is there are multiple work clothes and the closest one for the defect tracking is the cheetah well flow. So to check what were close assigned for the defect, just open any defect and click on the blood flow. Do you see Gina Simplified Work floor is being assigned for the defect time. If you see any other issue time, go to the test issue type. You'll see a giant simplified workflow software. Simplified book flows us a sign to that justice you time. So go back to the issues and select any buck and click on the workflow So now this workflow is the closest workflow for tracking defects. If you don't want to customize or add a new workflow, if this workflow doesn't so the software development or software defict lifecycle that you're looking for in your particular project, you might need to contact the deer administrator and request, um, them to add a new workflow with the status is that you want and the transitions that you want in that particular defect. But as part off, you know, like this this tutorial, this Jiro simplified workflow is good enough to track the defense. So as soon as you love but the effect it comes to the open state once the deal once developed, once it's assigned to the developer starts working on it, then he can move that defector in progress. Once he's done with the resolution and feels that the defect has been solved and results, he can move that to the result state. Okay, once it comes to the result state and is assigned to the Qiwei person to verify that particular defect tester will verify that if he feeds all, they should have been fixed and there are no more content sickened. Closed issue or if it figures out that there are still some issues and the defect hasn't Bean fixed correctly, then he can reopened the particular issue. Once it is reopened, it needs to be assigned back to the developer, and he can again start analyzing and working on the ship and moved issue two in progress. So this this workflow zero simplified workflow is pretty close to what a defect life cycle is. But there might be scenarios when you need more statuses for the defect workflow. So in those sort of scenarios, it's best to customize this particular workflow are add a new workflow for your defect management injera. So that's pretty much about the defect lifecycle injera in next to touring Bill. So we'll see how you can search but defects, injera and double changes to that. Thank you. 22. Searching defects and doing bulk changes: a little bourbon. In this tutorial, we will learn how you can search defects, injera and do but changes to the defects to to search defect. It's pretty straightforward. Ah, same functionality that you used to search any type of issue. You just need to select the type different type for bugs. So to search and issue Goto issues, drop down, click on search for issues and list all the issues issued types injera for all the products you need to. I'm so like the project for which you want to find the defect and just like the type as bug and will list all the bugs in all these statuses for that project. If you want to filter out more, the new select more filters from the basic set in order to do bulk changes this good with tools at the top and click on bulk. Change all 70 shoes and see that same bizarre that we have seen previously. If you want to change all of the issues, select all, or you can select some for which you want to make changes or select all and then click next and you will get all the options. All the bulbs, uh, change option that you can do on the issues. Thank you 23. Attaching files and screenshot to defects: no. One. In this tutorial, we will learn how to attach files to any issue types injera. So in order to attach files, you first have to find the issue for which you want to attack the file. Or you can just go to the basic search and get the issue list from there and there. There is an option to attach by from the basic search or advanced surge list as well. So let's go ahead and find some of the issues Goodman issues on search for issues. So, as you can see, the first issue listed here is the story. So open the story and you'll see the attachment section for the story so you can directly dragon drop files beat. You know, like your logs, your screenshots in this attack injection, and it will automatically get a test. If you want to browse the file, click on this browse button. Select the file and shoes. I said, What get attacked and will be shown in the attack injection to delete the file that you have a test. Now you just hold were over the fire and you'll see a small delete. I can't click on that icon click on the confirmation daily and will delete that particular fine. So attaching is similar for all of the racial types as well. So, for example, you want to attach files to bug. Now you'll get a similar attachment section. When you can drag and drop files, all you can promise fights another option to a ties. The file is. Go to this more drop down and you'll see attached Pilots option, which will open same window to select the fine and a touch. Okay, third option that you get for attaching the file is if you go to the search for issues and in the right extreme right in the corner of the issue, you have various action types available. So if you click on this icon here and scroll down, you'll see attached files option. So even from the basic search or the search criteria that we have selected, weaken directly attached files to each of the issues in the searchers of So that is all about attaching files to deal issues. Thank you 24. JQL - Advanced Search in JIRA and Introduction to JQL: Hello, everyone. Welcome to Jeter training in Distrito. Really? We will learn about advanced search injera and introduction to Jake. You Jaeckel stands progeria Query language. Jaeckel is the most powerful and flexible way to search for issues Injera, you really need to understand, Jake. You will Well, if you want to become Agena Power usage how advanced searching and Dida uses. Jake, you you used Jake able to form queries and quays are Siri's off simple elements strung together to form a complex question. For example, you're looking for a particular issue type in a particular duration or certain project assigned to someone. Then you have to write simple queries and then have the keywords added Are it has them together too? Fulfill that criteria so that you can find that actual issue are the actually sure that you're looking for India now Basic parts off queries are feels operators and values. So let's get started and see what all what advance search is all about And what are the elements off the Berries? Soto Start with the searching, you know, to go to the issues drug down and click on search for issues. By default, Jiro will open the basic search wearing you can select the criteria from the drop down, uh, provided and it will list the results that you're looking for. Okay, So, for example, I select a member project with issue type as but so it will list all the bucks within member project. Okay. Now, if you want to switch to the advanced search, the only thing you have to do is click on this advanced. But here on you can switch to advance search and start using Jake you. No, you You notice here that I had selected project and issue type in basic search. And when I switched to advances, the values are already populated. So what does that mean? It means basic search anyways uses ridicule in the background. Okay, So when As soon as you sell it the criteria in those drop downs, it's in the background. It's using Jake you to filter out the results. But if you want to write more complex queries that not all keywords are supported in the basic surgery, if you want to write more complex queries and really want toe search the issues that you're looking for, then you have to switch to advance it because basic search won't support eating every search time. So the second part of this tutorial is to understand what are the basic part of the queries . So, as I explained initially, the basic part of quays are feels operators and values. So what exactly are these? So if you see the query hear, the first part of the query project is equal to a movie project is the field is equal to is the operator and AM API is the value, and that makes one simple quitting. Then second highlighted section is issue type physical to bug. The issue type this field is equal to is operator, and bag is the value. So these are the two queries, which are combined with and key would to make it a compound clause. And that's when you see the results of for example, you are seeing the results. All the bugs in Moomba Project because of this compound close. Okay, if you just search for project is equal to Emma P, it will search. It will list all the issues within that particular project. So in order to make a compound clause or the complex ways you need to have an idea off the simple queries and then combining them together form the complex queries. So in that's all about, you know, like introduction about Advanced Search and Jacob in for decisions. We will get into more details off the important keywords supported by Jake. You. Thank you. 25. JQL - Important Keywords and Operators in JQL: Hello, everyone. Welcome to Ajira training. In this tutorial, we will learn about most common keywords and operators you will use in direct query language. So the first key bird that you use is and and is the key word that will return issues that match both the clauses our border criterias for both the queries that you're looking for. So, for example, you're looking for on open issues in Project ABC. So in that case, you need to use and keeper because you are looking for only open issues within that project . So you'll say project is equal to ABC and status is equal to open. That's the very that you, right in the past, search when you do basic search as well, and you select the values in the drop down in the background it uses. And in between two combined they smaller selection or small queries that you're right on the to produced because of the selection to in the background. Um, it's basic certain as well uses the Jake you it and and he would two spilled throughout the results that you're looking for The second key would is our our returns. All issues from either the particular either firsts. First search, really, Or the second search query, whichever criteria. So if one off the two criterias is met, then it will return the results from board the criterias. So if you're using our say, for example, you're looking for he shoes in Project Embassy, our status as open. Okay, so it will list on the prod all the issues in Project ABC and all the open issues from rest all the project. So it's kind of a broader, um such then the third key word is, is is returns all issues that have nowhere Lou for a search criteria. So in case you're looking for issues which don't have any value in a particular feed, okay, then you can use is Khiva. For example, you're looking for issues in Project ABC, so project is a go to ABC and description is empty, so it will list all the issues and project ABC for which description is empty. Another example is you can search the the issues in Project ABC for what to do is empty. So depending on what value you want to search for or what field you're looking for, then you can create your query using the is Keeper. Next, we'll see some operators so the first operator is not equal to so not equal to will list all the shoes except that particular status that you selected. For example, I'm looking for all day She was in it been Project ABC, which are not in open step. So what I'll say is project physical Look, ABC and status nor is equal to open people. List all the issues in Project ABC except open issues. Okay, second operator is created and equal a greater than are equal to so greater than are equal toe is well, list all the, um, issues for which a particular you know, like value that you're sitting is greater than the value that you're looking for. So, for example, story points greater than or equal to five. You want to search the issues with for which they story points is greater than record to five. In that case, you'll just right, um, project physical. Okay, BC and story points greater than or equal to five. In that case, it will return all the issues for which story points is greater than or equal to five, and it will discard, and any issue before which story point is less than five now. Similarly, you can use other keep other operators as well, like greater than less than and less than or equal to no, the next keyword is in. So in is used to figure out, are to find out the issues which either have status. Say, for example, you looking for, um, issues which are in a particular status, say in progress are closed or open to rather than writing. Status is called to do our statuses. Goto in progress or status is ableto open. What you can say is status in to do in progress and closed. So it a simpler form off writing same thing in longer with with or keyword so and the next keyword is not in which is reverse off in. So, for example, you're looking for issues which are not in particular status se. I'm looking for all issues and project ABC, which are not closed, okay, which are not in progress and closed. So what? I'll say status not in progress closed. In this scenario, it will list all the issues which are not in to do in progress and close and we'll list the issues apart from thes statuses. So that is Ah, that is all about keywords and operators in J. Cuba. In next tutorial, we will learn about searching issues with some off the text criteria, dates and functions. Thank you. 26. JQL - Searching with Keywords and Operators: over one. In this tutorial, we will use additional jack you'll operators and keywords to write more powerful craze. So let's get started. Go to issues, click on search for issues and switch to advance surge. All right, so the first operator that we want to look is in so in is nothing. But it is an operator that compares field with value in the list. No kiss, for example. You want to find all the issues for which assigning is John or Mary. Then you can write a signing in John and then coma. Marry again and you see a little take your the green tick. That means the Centex off your queries correct and will return the correct results. Okay, Now the second operator that we want to cover is not in not in is just opposite off in. So, for example, you want to find issues for which assigning is not John or may. Then you just change in as not in, and we list all the issues for which assigning is neither John or Mary. Now third operator want to cover is waas Was it used to find issues that had previous state or previous you know, like some previous values to, for example, previous assigning or previous status so and was can be used only with fields which are changeable. All right, So if I want to find assigning was John again until John and then hit, enter and list all the issues for which assigned Iwas John. No, along with wars you can use on after and before. So, for example, you want to find issues for which assigning was John on a particular date, Then you can use on and then provide a date set. For example, I want to see what issues were assigned to John on 15. If April Okay, hit, enter and we'll see. It lists out the five issues they are assigned to John on 15th of April. Similarly, you can use after and before to find issues that were assigned to John after a particular date or before particular date. Okay, so that is all about searching with keywords and operators. In further sessions, we will look at more ridicule queries with functions, dates and text. Thank you 27. JQL - Searching with Functions: I know everyone in this tutorial, we will learn about functions. Injera query language before we get started and take some of the examples off functions. Let's understand what are functions in Jake. You the functions. Perform useful calculations behind the scene and return the value for comparison in the search query functions. Maximize the efficiency. Inject Cuba and you can use functions only with the advanced search. They are not supported in the basic search off Jenna. Now let's look at some of the important functions with examples. There are many functions in Jake you'll, but most commonly used functions can be divided into three categories. 1st 1 is functions involving time. Second dysfunctions involving people and 3rd 1 is functions involving issues. Now let's take these examples one by one so open at Man City. Click on Advanced and it will open the advanced search textbooks. No functions off time. Let's take an example. For example, you're looking for issues in the open sprint what function you'll use to get the issues in the open sprint. So I'll just say sprint and then in open sprint, it will list all the issues that are currently in opens prints now, second example off functions involving time is you want to get issues created in last two days so the query would be created is greater than equal to start of the day and then provide the value barometer in last two days. Okay? And it will list the issues that were created in last two days. The example that I want to show is you want to find issues that were created in last eight hours the last four hours. How will you do that? So created greater than equal to minus eight hours. If you're looking for a shoes that were created in last eight hours, if you're looking for issues in last four hours, exchange toe four hours and created less than use the function now. So what this query will do is this query will return the issues that were created in last four hours from now from the current time. Okay, so there are no issues, so let's change it to 12 hours. Still launchers agenda to 16 hours. Okay, so there was one issue created in last 16 hours from now. Now, second example I want to show is functions involving people. So you want to find issues assigned to current logged in users. For example, assigning is equal to so this will result or this will list. This query will list all the issues that are currently assigned to me are I'm the logged in user so it will list all the issues assigned to me. But can you imagine the same query? If I save it and share with my team? Will this work? No, it won't. Because I have hard coded my name in the assigning and its listing the issues that are assigned to me because I have hard coded name anyone else that who wants to use the similar query has to update. For example, if John is locked in or Peter is logged in his Jiro instance, he has to change his name in order to get the issues that are assigned to him so important . Think here to notice, you have to use function here. So, for example, assigning is equal current user. So what this query will do is current user function will get the value based on who is locked into, for example, I'm locked in in this instance it will get the value my name on a list. All the issues assigned took me. And now if I save this query and share with my team that any member who is using this query can use it without modifying anything, second example off function in morning people is I want to find issues created by members off specific team. Okay, so creator in, I'll use members off and then I'll seijiro software users. I guess it just provide the group for which you want to find issues. So any member off this group who has created issues gonna be listed, all the issues listed will be listed, which are created by members off this particular group. Now, third category off functions is functions involving issues. First example. I want to take his issues. I'm watching. So if you want to find issues that you're watching, simply type in the query it's you in. And then he was function watched issues. It will list all the issues that you are you have been watching. Okay, Second example is, for example, you want to see the history or the recent history that the issues that you have recently reviewed then just say issue in issue history function and list all the issues that you have recently reviewed in the history. So that is pretty much all about functions. In the next tutorial, we will learn about some of the functions related time. Thank you. 28. JQL - Searching with Dates: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn searching issues with dates. You concert Jiro for things that have happened in past or will happen in future using exact date. Our relative dates. Most of the searches in Gina are done with relative dates. So in Jake, you if you're using a negative number, then that represents the past. But if you're using a positive number than that represents the future to let us go ahead and see some of the examples to understand the date functions better, so suits to advanced feel, um, advanced search. And the first example that I want to stroh is you want to see issues do more than two days ago? Okay, so what will be the query do less than recall, too. You want to see the past so negative number, and then to d and enter and list the issue that are due more than two days ago? Second query. You want to see issues created within last 24 hours? I guess so. That's in the past as well. So you use a negative number. What will be the query? So you'll say created is greater than or equal to negative 24 then h for hours list a shoe that have been created in the past 24 hours. For example, you want to see issues result 1 to 2 weeks ago. Okay, so what will be the query? It's again in the past. So you see result is greater than or equal to two weeks, so minus two and then W for weeks and result is less than or equal to negative one. So this will list all the issues that result 1 to 2 weeks ago. For example, you want to see issues do between certain date, for example, between 21st of April and 24th of April 2018. So what will be the query to see that the right deal and it's in the future. Don't say greater than equal to. And then the date. So 2018 04 21st of April and do you? It's less than or equal to 2000 and 18 on 24 so that will list like this Query will list the issues that are due between 21st of April and 24th of April 2018 left example. You want to see issues updated on a particular date. Okay, Exact date, for example. I want to see how many issues got updated on 21st of April. So the query would be updated greater than or equal to date. 21st April. Okay, and updated less than 22nd. So why this query? Because if you just mention updated greater than or equal to 21st of April, then it will list all the issues that were updated after 21st 12 AM after 21st paper. So if you want to get the exact number of issues updated on that particular day, then you have to mention the next day, um, before 12 a.m. the next day. So that's why updated less than 22nd of April is mentioned and that will list all the issues that were updated on 21st off April. Now, another example is you want to see issues do within next two days. Okay, so next two days is in future, so that will be a positive number. No Cassa deal less than or equal to next two days of positive to Andy and list the issues that are due in next two days. now. Last example is you want to see issues created in last two days. Okay, So created and then greater than or equal to last two days is again in past that minus to B and list all the issues that were created in last two days. So you can see the show's creator on 21st and 22nd April are listed here. So that is all about searching with dates in J Cuba. In next tutorial, we will learn about searching with text. Thank you. 29. JQL- Searching with Text: well over one. In this tutorial, we will learn how text searching works in Jake you'll and find issues based on words and phrases. The text search applies only to text fields off issue time, for example, description summary comments extra. Let's get started with the with some of the text search examples go to issues. Quick concert for issues. Andi In the basic search, you will see contains text text box. You can directly type in any text that you want to find. So I'll say launching on its list issues which contained this particular would. If you want to find the exact what then just put the work. Um, put the word in quotation marks in case, for example, sample task and hit Enter and list all the issues that contain that word. Sample task. Okay, now you can also use the wild card. For example. I want to find issues. I'm not sure what the what number or what information is between Link and each year. So I'll just put a wide card and enter and list all the issues which contained link issue. And then there is some value between link and issues. For example, 34 456 So that wild card usage is also possible in order to do advance that you just switch to advanced and the Syntex is pretty much simple toe dive in text and then provide the text that you want to search for, say, on ST Link, and then you and list the issue, which contains that link issue and the value in between. So you can also use vile card in advance. It list the Hughes, which fulfill that text search criteria. So that's pretty much about text search. Thank you. 30. Introduction to JIRA reports: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, I'll introduce you to the reporting feature off here. So to get started selling the product for which you want to do the report and then click on the reports I can't hear in left, it will open all the available reports. Injera the reporter categorizing different categories. So first section is the agile reports which will give you the burn down chart or Sprint report velocity chart, etcetera. Um, the second section is if you analysis, which is gives more details around issues. So, for example, you want to analyze the issues, be defect or any other story or epic than it you have reporting feature for that. 2nd 1 is created versus Resort Reports. This is more useful for for defect, tracking or even for any any other issue type. So there are multiple issues, analysis reports available as well. Then the third section is around forecast and management, which is usually which is basically time tracking. So anything related to time or workload, um, are full cost can be taken out from thes forecasting management reports. The last section is other, which is. These reports are available because of the ad in that we have added So Zephyr the test management plug in that we have added a Zephyr provides thes report just to track the test execution or any any status related to testing. So these are all default reports available in angina at moment. However, you can go to a class in marketplace and find many more reports as per your need in the project. So, for example, your notable to find the report that you need in the default report, then you can just come here in the marketplace and search for reports, and it will list many reports. And depending on the need, you can, you know, like pick one, do the free trial. And if it suits your project that you can buy it and further use those reports. So that's pretty much about reports introduction in Jena In next tutorial, we will learn more about the specific reports. Thank you 31. Reports - Burndown Chart: at over one. In this tutorial, we will learn about bond down chart, which is one off the agile reports to burn down Chart actually tracks the total work remaining and project the likelihood off achieving your spring cold. So as you know, in agile development methodology, you plan your work. Within this print. It is time box 2 to 4 weeks cycle, and based on what we have planned, you put that in that particular sprint and you can track the progress. How the task are being progressed day by day and burn down chart allows you to see the progress based on the story point of time remaining to achieve those tasks, bidding that particular 2 to 4 weeks cycle. So this helps 13 to manage progress and responded, God agrees. For example, on Day three off the Sprint, you figure out that the progress hasn't beaten made much because of some blocker issue. Then you can identify where the where the issues are and resolve them immediately in orderto for you. Teen to progress further. So to get started, you you need to select the project for which you want toe find the boat and then go to reports section and click on burn down chart so it will open the bone down chart for you. So you have to select this principle. Mostly will be the current sprint that you're tracking. And then there are multiple options available to select or multiple burn down chart available based on either story point or the estimate, our issue count or the remaining time estimate. All right, so but we'll cover each one by one. So let's the t The story points first, so I just see this a sample sprint, and this has been completed already. So the red line here is the actual progress that has been made for the story points of, For example, on First of the Sprint, the total plan points were 18 point right, and on 27th of March there were three points that were completed, so that came down to 15 points on the 27th of March. Then again, there was no progress until 28 29 on 30th by the team. And then on 38 there were, you know, like five story points that have been done, all right, so it shows you the actual progress or the how Maney story points are being born, um, on particular they are, how the progress is going on, and then the gray line. Here is the ideal scenario how it should look like the bone down shot, but that's that's very unlikely. That's not going to happen. So it will be you like either on particular data team will be able to achieve or complete more points, and there will be some other days wherein team won't be a bit able to achieve because they'll the work in progress. Um, for example, for a particular task there, we'll need two days to complete, and for next two days, that person won't be able to claim the point. And if you if you see below, uh, you'll see that chart here, which shows are basically the table. It shows how Maney shoes were planned in the Sprint, including the story points and then based on the date when which particular issue was completed. So and then how Maney story points got decreased and had Then you'll see that these were they this story born ended and to story points or not completed, we're still remaining, right? So that's how you track burn down chart based on story point. Similarly, you can do it for the issue. Count how the issue count is reducing in that particular sprints, that these are the issues that have planned and how the issues have been reduced on what particular day Which issue has been results. The other option is you can do it by original time estimate, because there hasn't been any time, I estimate done for these tasks to. You don't see any burn down chart for the time estimate. But if you have done the time estimate for the issues, then you will see the burn down chart based on the original time estimate and remaining time estimate. So as soon as your time estimate the the issue and then your team logs in the time they have spent on that particular issue, you'll see similar burn down chart, as you have seen for the, uh, story points for the time estimators were. So that is all about the bond down chart in our general reports. In next tutorial, we learn about this, Trahant reports, Thank you 32. Reports - Sprint Report: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about Sprint report. Injera. It's a Sprint report helped you to understand the work completed or pushed back to the backlog in each sprint. So, for example, your team has committed that they'll be doing 10 issues in Sprint one and out of those 10 they were able to complete eight, then two issues. I will be moved to the backlog and will be shown in this print report. And this keeps on going. So, for example, it these stats will be captured its print by Sprint. And you can go in the past and see what the stats were in that particular sprint to deter mined, whether your team is over committing or where the scope is. Actually, you know, like if the team is actually notable toe deliver the scope that that has been defined in that particular sprint. So to get started, you need to select the project and then go to reports and click on Sprint Report. So select the sprint for what? You want to have a look. Our check the sprint report, I'll select samples. Print. One will show me the bone down charge for that sprint, how this print went and then what issues were completed and what issues were not complete. All right, so this gives an idea for the scrum Master are the manager to see what issues were not completed and whether it's ah, it's scope change or whether it's, you know, like the team is over committing and not able to complete that toe. If this pattern happens for multiple sprints, for example, next sprint, you can see how things have been. So there are further issues which which were not completed as well in this particular sprint. So if if it is a continuous thing, then it gives the scrum master ability to identify or toe retrospect what is going what is not going right in the particular sprint, whether it's you know, like the team is or committing or there is excessive scope creep for that for for the sprint, so in for this prints, then he can plan properly so that the team is able to achieve by sprint goal. So that is all about sprint report injera In next tutorial, we will learn about velocity charge. Thank you 33. Reports - Velocity Chart: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about velocity chart in agile reports. Velocity tart helps you to track the amount of work completed. Sprint by Sprint to, for example, in Sprint one. Your team planned 20 story points, and we're able to deliver 18 out of those 20 and then next print. They plan 24 we're able to deliver 20 out of those 24. Then your velocity chart will track all that progress print by Sprint, and you can go back and see how many points were committed and how many were actually achieved. So this gives your visibility to estimate the work based on the team's velocity or what? What is it team actually able to achieve? So to get started, click on Select the project, click on Report and select the velocity charge. I will open the velocity chart and X axis. Is your sprint the actual sprint that that is progressing in the project? Andi. Why accesses the story points that were planned and delivered in that particular sprint? So the great bar you see is the commitment within that sprint. So in Sprint, when the commitment was 18 points on green is the actual delivered story points or the task that were completed in that sprint. Andi below that you'll see the table so it gives the tabular format what was commit, committed in that particular sprint. So it's print. One commitment was 18 completed. 16. Similarly, spring 23 and four. So this gives you a clear picture off but the glass sprint and how your team is actually achieving the plan point in the but the glow sprint. So this determines the velocity off your team and you in future. If your team is notable to deliver whatever were, you know, like points planned in last couple of Sprint's, then you can do a retrospective and see what they shoes are. Why the points are not getting delivered aspirin commitment. Then identifying all those factors you can plan accordingly so that your team is able to deliver what is committed within that particular sprint. So that is all about velocity chart in agile reports in next tutorial, we'll see Epic burn down. Thank you 34. Reports - Epic Burndown: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about Epic burned down in agile reports. So before we get started, let's understand what an epic is so in agile development, Epic is, ah, high level business requirement, which in turn is broken down into smaller chunks with his stories and then which in turn, um, it's broken down into task and sub tasks. So you're deaf team works on particular story and the task in sub task associated with that story. And once all the tasks associated with the story of completed the story gets love to done and which in turn, links to an epic so epic is bigger piece of work that will take at least 2 to 4. Um, are before 26 sprints worth off effort to complete an epic bun down gives you a clear picture how that particular high level business requirement is progressing within this prints and how much work has been completed, how much work is remaining and what scope Chin has happened to. All that information is shown in the epic burn down chart. So to get started, go to reports and click on epic bond down and here you will see the progress. First thing that you see is you can view the progress off the epic sprint by Sprint. So, for example, this first bar here is the initial scope, and then second sprint. How much work was, you know, like completed is shown in the green green color and then, if there is any work at it, or the sculpture is dark blue, um, which can be tracked in the scope change for that particular epic and the third very good. A feature available in Epic Burned Down is the predict completion. So, based on the past performance off that particular epic, how the epic has been progressing in the past prints it will give you the completion prediction when that particular epic is predicted to be completed. So as we don't have much daughter here in the current coming for the current epic, so you'll see I'm not able to see any forecast for the current epic. But the original estimate waas eight points, which was done in price prints already and then in current spring, there was more work added to the epic so that you can see 17 plus five points were added out of which five points were done. So that has bean Mark does work completed and 17 points are still need to be completed to mark this epic has done so This this epic bone down cause sprint by sprint until your epic is completely to you can see the progress how your epic will be How were our biggest progressing And the forecast when that epic will be completed The other option is you can align the viewing options so you can align at the base off the chart The story points for the epic And below that you will see The completed issues are the issues that were complete in the previous prints for that particular pick on in completed issues in that particular epic So that is all about epic burned down in next tutorial will see created forces Result reports Thank you 35. Reports - Created Vs Resolved Reports: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about Created versus result report. Injera. So created versus result report is issue analysis report and which will give you the overview or the idea around the issues which were created and result or a period of time. All right, so this gives you understanding whether your overall backlog is growing or shrinking, depending how maney new shoes got created on a particular day or in past certain days and how many got results. So it gives a clear picture. Whether you're work in your particular project or cycle is increasing or it's in control. So let's see. They shoot analysis report, click on Created versus Resolved Report, and you can select the beard either daily hourly, weekly monthly quarterly, um, and then select the criterias. Today's previously so third I'll select 30 days. You can sell a cumulative total yes or no and the display version so you can select multiple options. Only display major versions are all versions except and then click Next. It will create the chart, which shows created was, says the issues that result in the last 30 days, right for that particular project. So as you can see, you know, like in the last 30 days there were there was like, no news you created one was result on Eventually in later cycles, you can see there are a lot of new issues got created And because of that, um, you see your backlog, it's growing the red line. Here it's the backlog which keeps growing. And this is the result. The green line. So you can see on 29 April there is a huge gap between created and the result issues, and you can identify the s terrorism. Siri's it you are. There is some serious change in the backlog and my backlog is growing in the particular project and you can action accordingly to resolve the particular issues. So that is all about created verses. Result issues report. Thank you. 36. Introduction to JIRA Agile boards: at over one. In this tutorial, we will learn about boards injera. So before I get into details, off boards and what you can do in boats, let understand what Ajira board stands for. So a dealer board displays issues from one or more projects, giving you a flexible way off the managing and reporting on work in progress. So there are three types of boards available injera. 1st 1 is Agility Board, which is still in beta phase. It's not released yet, and it's only available in Jeddah. Cloud Version and Agility Board is for the teams who don't want to do complex boats set up and just want to manage tasks with flexible and simple bold. Next board is the scrambled and scrambled is for the teams who want to plan their work within time bound alterations known as prints, which is 2 to 4 weeks cycle, and this mostly suit for the development team who want to deliver working software within those sprints. Third Board is the combine book and Combine board is suitable for teams who focused on managing continuous delivery off work so they have a backlog. They pull that backlog, um, they pull that work into in progress and then done. Should any team which is managing continous floor work. The best suitable board is conven bullet. No. Let's see how you can access the boats injera. So to access the board and go to the header at the top and click on the boards. Drop down and you'll see the recent boards that you have visited are you can goto all boards view all boats, and it will list all the boats available, and you can select the particular board that you want to build. So, for example, I want to see a scrambled for a movie project. I'll click on that and will list me the board for the movie project and will list the columns that are available in the board and the issues available in that particular board. If I want to switch the board, I will goto all boats again and select another boat. For example. I want to see Kon Bon Board for escapee project. I'll select that you could see the back lot and particular issue that has been selected for development. There are certain issues in progress, and some are in done, so that is pretty much all about. Very basic introduction, towboat. In next tutorial, we will learn what you can. What actions are operations are possible on boats. Thank you. 37. What can you do on JIRA boards?: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn What all can you do on a board injera. So to get started, I'll access one of the board to go to the boards, drop down and click on any of the board available. So I'll select Scrambled for M O. P project. And here you can see the columns listed on in that particular board for a movie project. So there is to do in progress and done. You can dragon drop issues. For example, you are the developer in the project and you started working on M o B 39. Then you can drag and drop it to in progress. Um, and if a particular issue has been completed, then you can change it to done so it will automatically change the status off that particular issue. Two closed or done. The other operation available is you can go to the backlog for that particular board and will show you the issues that have been taken up in the particular in active sprint. So here you can see Sprint fall is the active sprint, um, and then below that it will show you the backlog, which is actual backlog that you might be able you might be picking up in furthers prints off your project. You can see versions if versions are attacked and epics available and on the board. Other operations of possible are you can sell it the issues. So, for example, I can tell it issue from the backlog and you'll see the view off the issue. You can resize the detailed issue section here. You can estimate base you from backlog itself from board itself. So go to the estimation and click on estimate, and you can put the story points for example, five story point for that and save it and you'll see that estimate that number a story point number has been updated here in the back love as well. Other thing is, you can update the description from backlog a tip. You can add comments, attachments and creates up tasks from the backlog. It'll from the M. O. P. Bold backlog. The other operations available. Uh, you can edit the shoes so it will open the edit windows, for example. You want to have more fields which are not available in this detailed view. You can edit issue and will open the edit template, and you can edit other details. For example, duty originally estimated. Other comment extract. The other operation available is you can assign this particular issue to someone in the project in tow. For example. You're a scrum master and you're planning this print. Then you can do, they estimate and directly you can assign to particular member off this print. The other operation available is log work. So if someone is working on that particular issue inactive Sprint than they can love work, whatever number of hours are number of days they have spent on that particular issue, they can love work on that. Then you can send issue at the top or bottom. You can create Zephyr test case for that. If you have separate plug install, obviously, then you can attach files you can watch. Stop watching you can link, delete. And then there are many more actions available from the drop down so you can see the actions, all the actions that are possible on that particular issue from the board it. So other view are other oppression borders on the active sprints so you can see what columns are available on a particular board and depending on what work or who is allocated the task in the particular sprint, he can move that task toe from to do to in progress to done. The other operation available is reporting, which will give you the reporting off all the issues that are planning that particular Sprint reporting is overall a project activity. But it's available on spring by sprint basis, so I will be doing it for its sprint. So that is the third operation or another operation that is available for you to do on the boat. So that is pretty much all about what operations of what you can do on boat. Thank you. 38. Creating JIRA boards - SCRUM vs KANBAN: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn about scrum versus Kon Bon Boat and how to create scrum and combine boats. So to get started, go to the boards, drop down and click on view all boat. It will list all the scram and conven boat available at the moment in that gear instance, and we'll give you an option to create a board took. If you click on Create board, it will give you two options for the agile boat. 1st 1 is scrum and 2nd 1 is combine. So scrum, as I already explained in the initial initial session, that Scream is suited for the development teams who are planning and committing to deliver a working software in small alterations known as Prince, which is like 2 to 4 weeks, some time bound reiterations so scram it's more suited for development teams. Next one is the convent Convent focuses more on continues floor work, all the teams who are managing continuous flow of work and the teams who want to control work for do from the backlog so they don't want to have too much what in a work in progress , which becomes a bottleneck. So for those teams which want to manage the limited amount of work in working progress. UM, status, then can Band is more suited for those type of teams. So depending on what your requirement is, you need to click on create a scrambled or creator conv on board. The next option below the scrambled button is created scrum board with sample data, so that means it will create some sample daughter for you, too, to play around or toe to learn about the sample book. If you don't want to create any sample daughter, then just create Click on creates calm board and it will give you an option toe. Create a board with the new software project. If you want to create a board with the new software project or if you want to create a board for an existing project, please note that your existing project can have multiple ports so you can select second option that create a board from it, um, existing project. Or you can create a board from an existing filter so depending water requirement is you can select a particular option and click next. If you select the first option, it says Creator Boot for a new project of Create. It will ask for the project name Um, And then you can create Border to create the board for that particular project if a select second option board from an existing project. But ask you the proud of board name, So I'll say just full and selling the project that you want to have the board for. So I'll select the Boomer Project and click on Create Board and will create a new board for the test board for the lumber project, which can customize later to create a conman board. It's similar process. There is not no difference. Just click on, create convo on board, and I'll create Cambon bored with the sample doctor this time. So click on create conven Boat and Procreate Sample conman Project A and just click on create board and will create a project as well s convent bought for that project. If you don't want the sample sample data that click on create conman, I will give you similar options, as it boasts for the scrambled. You can create board for the new software project or you can create board for an existing project are from an existing state filter. So I create board for the new software. It's a new conman project on and click on Create Board and will create a new project, um, with New Conman Project name on a board for that. So because I haven't chosen any sample data, so have I don't see any of the starter or issues created here on that particular boat. It's It's a complete new board all together. So that is pretty much all about, um, difference between scram and conman boat and how you can create boards injera. Thank you. 39. Configuring JIRA Boards: Hello, everyone. In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure boards injera to get started, click on board struck down, selling the board that you will not want to configure, and in the right hand corner you'll see the ball drop down. Click on that and click on corn. Figure it will open the conflagration page and you'll see all the configuration options available for that boat. We'll go through one by one briefly. So in general configuration, you can change this filter safe filter and the shares in the columns you can add or remove columns, for example. You want to add more columns to the board. At the moment, there are three to do in progress and done so you can add more columns, are more statuses and then mapped those statuses to the column. Then you can also add or remove the column constraint, so if you choose none, there will be no column constraint. But if you choose constraint based on the issue count, then it will add minimum and maximum issue count for that particular column. So what that means is so, for example, in two do you have specified minimum issues as to and maximum as five. Right? So if the number of issues into a new column is less than two, then the color of that column will turn to yellow. And if the number of issues exceeds five, then the color of that column bill turn to read. And that indicates that that there is a bit off, you know, like over load. If the number of issues a number of issues in that particular status exceeds what you have specified as maximum or the team is underutilized. If you have specified minimum number of shoes in that column, and there are not those many issues in that column, right you could go back to board, since I have specified that specifies some number in progress as well, and then go back to board and see the color toe. Now here you can see that I have specified minimum as one and maximum as to, and this column here contains three issues, and that is why the color off that column has turned to, um, read okay, here minimum was, too, and Maxwell spite. So as current leads, you know, like to. So it has not changed. So it's it's you know, like in the in the range at the moment, and that is why it's, Ah, it's it's not turned yellow. So if I, for example, if I move this issue here, then you can see that now the car color off this column changed to yellow because minimum in that in this particular column should be, too. And it has been reduced to one. Okay, going back to the conflagration again. So that's the column constraint sitting. The next thing is swim lands so you can configure your columns based on the swim lands. Assume Lin is just a role and you categorize issue. Based on certain Rose, for example, you can select a sign, ease as the rule and then go back to board, and it will include all the issues that could have grows based on the shine. Assigning toe Bruce ever is a sign, critically, issues it will have those many grows, so currently three issues are unassigned and then dressed are assigned to me. So it's showing swim lanes praised on the assigning, going back to conflagration again. You can change the swim lanes based on Epix project stories, etcetera, or you can select knows England at all. Then there is an option to do the quick filter. The quick filter is the filter that you see on the board so you can configure those filters for yourself. So, for example, you want to have a filter for on it's used assigned to you. Then you just tried the creator here and say, a sign E is equal to, um, current user. And if you want to put him description, put that and add. If you go back to the board, you will see all issues assigned to you. If you click on that, it will filter all the issues that are currently assigned to you. Okay, going back to the conflagration again. And second, next configuration is card colors, so you can change the colors off the cars that you see. For example, currently, it's bug is red. You can change the color for the for the bug or story sub test that kind of time. Then you can change the card layout toe. Currently, all the cards will have priority due date and assigning you can have maximum off three extra fields to show on the card. So if you want to add any other field. Apart from these three, you can select those based on that on your your requirement. Okay, Um, next is the estimation, so you can have the estimation updates. For example, estimates in statistics at the moment a story point, you can either enable or disable time tracking to at the moment. Time tracking is disabled. You can have the time tracking enabled and then estimation off. The time will be calculated automatically based on the time log that has been entered by the developer or the members of the team for that particular issues. Then you can configure the working days as well. So what working days are there? You can select time zone etcetera, and then you can. Also, configurations are configure, issue, detailed view. So, for example, in due in date, feel you want to add Do that. You can click on that and we'll show you the dude it feels in the issue. Detail detailed view as well. If you go on board as well, click on any particular issue you'll see the do feed is visible here. You want to remove any feel. All of this detail did directly go to the conficker and you can remove feet, so I want to Don't want updated or creator. I just remove that. Go back to board and now, in the dates feel you just see the do you can. It's a date picker picker so you can select the date for that issue. All right, going back to the configure configuration again, Um, so that pretty much all working days estimation card layout is something very important as well. So in Carly out you will see due date. Competent priority on in activist Prince Boat. What details you see This is important because if you go to the details off the card, you will see the priority due date. And whose ever is there signing listed on the card? The reason. This is important because you can print these cards directly. So based on the Sprint task that you have planned in particular Sprint, you just add those tasks and then click on the printer print card, and it will list all the priority. Dude it on assigning story points, the details of the user story indirectly printed and put it on your sprint board or the port that you use for your daily stand ups. You don't have to ride these cards anymore. Indirectly print and used them if you can't figure your Gina properly. So that is all pretty much about configuring boards, Injera. Thank you. 40.
