Start with this comprehensive course to begin your studies of sustainability and green building using the LEED Rating System.There are no eligibility requirements to be LEED Green Associate - LEED GA! all you have to do is to take the course and book for your exam! The course is provided in both English and Arabic languages.

1. Ch1 - 01 preface: Hello and welcome in your first lead. Green Associate, Version four course. This video will be your introduction to lead Green Associate on our course, we will introduce the lead rating system. Who can take lead accreditation? What are the LEED certification levels? What are the leader? Temptations and how to pass your lead exam from the first attempt. In the beginning, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Karimun Nabavi, senior sustainability consultant, principal architect, registered as an international associate, e a and a professional instructor certified as USG. I created this video to be an introduction to lead course. The course itself will discuss the whole rating system, including greed process strategies on a step by step guidance. Will you be able to pass the exam from the first attempt? We will start with the world lead. What is lead lead is an abbreviation to leadership in energy and environmental design. The world lead is a registered the trademark owned by U. S. G. B. C. No one can use the word in a new business other than us. GVC U S. G. B C. Is an abbreviation to United States Green Building Council. It's a private based membership organisation promotes sustainability in buildings, design, construction and operations. When we mentioned lead, we should bring to our attention what the lead rating system can do. It ensure sustainability, resource efficiency and is better for the triple bottom line. We will discuss the triple bottom line in detail during the course. Lead by far is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. It works for all buildings at all phases, off development, from new construction to existing buildings and old buildings from homes, hospitals to corporate headquarters. There are huge amounts of buildings that are leads her to find around the world. There are also more than 200,000 lead professionals around the world. The idea behind lead as a rating system or framework that it can measure the performance for any building using a clear performance indicators. For example, when we say that we want to reduce energy consumption in a new building by 20% what can be is a proof that the building actually can can save 20%. There is no base line to compare energy savings. There won't be any real erectile later that can show the savings and lead. I can compare their energy savings against the baseline. I can also measure my water savings. There are also strategies that we can use and follow to achieve a prescribed results. All that would provide more reliability and creditability, toe lead process and also to the performance results. The building users can trust the LEED certified building compared to a conventional building. LEED certified building can save money. Usually lead projects has slightly higher initial coasts, but the operational coasts are always lower than a conventional building toe. Also consume less energy. By selecting higher performance systems, this energy will be consumed. Lead building will use this water by selecting high efficiency fixtures and appliances. Lead buildings also use fewer resources and have a better indoor environmental quality. Leader dresses, building types and lifecycle faces. And there are also many other credits that are dedicated for construction people who are involved in construction activities. The start point is lean green associate. After passing the Luigi exam, you can take any lead AP exam for any specialty. The last designation is lead fellow lead. Green Associate illustrates concepts, strategies of sustainable design, environmental challenges and lead process. There are five credentials for lead AP Use the specialities. I need a B building design, construction operations and maintenance, neighborhood development, interior design, construction and homes. In late AP, you will know the requirements for each lead credit. You will also know how to implement the credit into different types of projects. How to receive points on how to document your findings. The last designation is lead Fellow. It was developed to honor and recognize distinguished lead A peas who had made a significant contribution to the field of green building and sustainability at the regional , national and international level. They should have at least 10 years of experience in Green Building field, and they are nominated from their peers. Lead Green associate version, for example, There is an option to take lead green associate and lead a B exam together, but I don't recommend it. Sustainability is the ability to sustain or the capacity to endure. We have many definitions about sustainability. Each one of us might have his own definition. Some of the well known definitions are the following from National Environmental Policy Act to create and maintain conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony that permit fulfilling the social, economic and other requirements off present and future generations. There is also another definition from U. N Portland Commission, but it's related to sustainable development. Sustainable development is development that meets the needs off off the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. There is also a wider definition that is used by many people these days. Sustainability can be described as quality that should be have a lifestyle impact on people and the life in broader terms. Sustainability is the ability to sustain or the capacity to endure, and this definition is used more in advancement and research. Green buildings, what is a green building before moving to the next slight? Think about it. What is a green building. What are the benefits off a green building?
