1. Introduction: everyone. My name's Samantha. I'm an artist and designer. Most of you know from Birds Gallery. I'll be showing you step by step how I create my led Rose in 2019 decided to put some my lady lights, and I never imagined it would grow the way it did. And I'm so thankful to be starting a new journey with all of you. You don't have to be experienced with resin to take my class. I list all the materials necessary. How do you get started and walk you through the process step by step from start to finish. My hope is that you leave my lessons feeling creatively inspired. I don't want to make your own led resident That's gonna light up your life enrolled today and discover all my tips and tricks for successful led resident. I'm so excited to be teaching this class and I can't wait to see what you mean. 2. LED "This is us" Resin Sign: Hey, guys, welcome to my video in this lesson. I'll be teaching you how to create that. This is us led sign. Everything you need is a sin description of this video with a link to all of products I use . Now let's get started. First thing you want to do is grab your led wire and make sure that the lights work. Next, unwrap your wire so it's not tangled. Go ahead and grab your paintbrush now and start to wrap the wire around it. Make sure not toe overlap the way you want it to be the shape of the paint brush so you can pull it apart. You also don't want to wrap too tight because then you won't be able to pull your paintbrush out once you finish wrapping your wire on the paintbrush. Now you can pull it out and you should have a perfectly coiled wire. Now slowly start to stretch your wire, but not too much they don't after recall you later. Now begin at the bottom of a mold and gently start pushing your led wire into the rim on the corners. We're going to have to really play with this and be patient. It takes some time to get the wire to stay down, but the more you play with it, I promise that easier it's going to get now that we have valid the wire settled in. Let's make sure the lights still work. After all that pushing, Go ahead and move your mold to the side. Grab your gloves, your mixing cub and your resin. You're going to need a total of eight ounces of resin, so you're gonna need four ounces of a and four ounces of B. Once you have that all measured out poor in four ounces of a first and scrapie edges, make sure you don't waste any resin. Next, grab your four ounces of B and do the same thing. Begin by slowly mixing your resin. You're gonna want to mix slowly the entire time so you can avoid as many air bubbles as possible. As you mix, you will see the resin go from cloudy to clear, and once it's clear, that means it's ready. Mixing takes a few minutes, usually 5 to 8 minutes, depending on how much resin Europe, so make sure you continue to make slowly through the entire process. As you can see now my resin is crystal clear. I'm ready to pour into my three mixing cups. Go ahead and grab three new mixing cups. I accidentally only grab two when I first started, but I fixed my mistake after I poured the resin into the 1st 2 cups. Again, make sure you scrape everything out of the mixing bowl. You do not wanna waste any resident. Now that I have my three resin cups filled, I'm going to start mixing and the glitter. Grab your white glitter flakes and add them into one of the cups. Now grab your Popsicle stick and start mixing the resin and the glitter. Make sure all the glitter is distributed evenly throughout the resin. Now do the same thing with your pink and blue glitters. Grab your pink letters and pour them into the same mixing cup and then grab your white mika powder at a little bit in there and start mixing way to repeat the same process with the blue glitter. Make sure that you mix both of these very thoroughly through. - Go ahead and grab your lighter and quickly swipe over the top layer of the resin to pop any air bubbles. You want to do this fast so you're not affecting the resin or the mixing cup. Grab your moles and let's start the poor. Grab your pink resin and your blue resin and pour them at the same exact time. Now take your white flake resin and pour it into the rim of the mold over the led lights. Wait for the rest of the pink and blue resin on opposite sides. This time, make sure you scrape all the resin out. Okay, now use your Popsicle stick to mix the two colors just a little bit. You don't want to blend them. You just wanna have a cool, mixed effect. Use your lighter and pop any air bubbles. Now let's let it sit for 24 hours until it's fully cured 24 hours later, and it's time to deem old. Let's carefully start to remove the mold. Now let's mix a small amount of resin. I already premixed mind for this video. Grab your pigment and pour some into your mixed resin. Just a few dashes is perfect. You don't want too much of the pigment. Make sure you mix this very thoroughly way want to make it pop a little more. So add some of your white makeup powder and mix. Once you're done mixing, put it to the side for now because we want it to thicken so we can use it later. Pour some white acrylic paint into a small mixing cup. I first started with this ballpoint tool but realized that a regular paintbrush was easier for this part. So I switched. We will use the ball point to a later. As you can see once a switch to the paint brush. It was much easier. Please make sure you begin with the paintbrush and not the ball point, as I did in the beginning, I added two layers of the white paint just to make sure cops let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes before we apply the resident. Grab the resin that we mixed earlier. It should be pretty thick at this point. Begin with the large side of the ball point tool and start painting the thick resin on top of your white painted letters. Be gentle and don't scratch the white paint. - Now use the small side of your ballpoint tool and fill in the spots that we might have missed. Let it sit until it's completely hard. It may not need 24 hours and a thin layer of resin, but I waited just in case 24 hours later, and we have a completely cured piece. I love how it shines in the sunlight. Now I will be showing you two ways to display your piece. One. Understand and to hanging. Let's start with option one honest stand. Grab your Scotch tape and pull it piece off. That's long enough to fold over. Tape it to the back of your art. Once you put the tape on the back, wrap the wire around the battery switch and use a mini black rubber band to tie them together. Stick it onto the tape to hide the wire. Perfect. It's nice and secure. Now grab your stand. Place your sign in the stand and display. Here it is on this wake with the lights off. Now let's see it with the lights on. Now it's time to show you option. Teoh, you will need your mini twist. Han drill. Too many ice screws, too many split rings and a chain you will find all of these items linked in the description below. Let's start by checking to see if the led wire is gonna be in the way of our drill. We're going to be drilling at the top of this piece. As you can see, the wire is closer to the bottom of the peace, so we're gonna drill more towards the front. Once we found our spots. Let's start to drill. We don't want to drill too deep. Just enough for the ice crew to fit. Grab your I screw and screw it in until it's type. Repeat the same process on the other side. Okay, grab your chain and your split rings. Open the ring and connected chain into the hope and pull it through. You can use needle nose pliers if that's easier. As you can see, the chain is looped into the ring through the same thing on the other side of the chain. Now that you have both split rings into the chain, go ahead and open the split rings again and loop them into the eyes. Groups one on each side and there you go. Now you. This is a sign is ready to display and let's go hang up. I absolutely love how mine turned out And I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Thank you so much for watching and supporting me and my art much love, Samantha. 3. LED " Love & Live" Signs: Hey, guys, welcome to my video. In this lesson, you will learn how to make an led love and live signed. There's a link below to my Amazon shop that includes all the products you need to create these pieces. Let's begin by grabbing our led lights, untangling them and making sure that they turn on. Go ahead and grab your paintbrush and begin to wrap the wire. Remember, not toe overlap the wire because we're gonna pull it apart later. - Pull out your paintbrush and you should have a perfectly coiled wire. Now let's do the same thing to the next wire. - Now let's start to pull apart our core wire so we're able to fit it into our lovable. Let's begin by putting the wire in the l. We're going to double lap around the O. So we have to make sure that our wires long enough it's not. So we're gonna pull it out of the mold again and stretch it out a little more. I pulled my wire out of the EU because I wanted a little more light in it, just double checking that the lights are still working. I'm gonna go through and make sure all the way pushed. Now let's go ahead and do the same exact process on the live mold. - Let's push these two. Decide from now. Put your gloves on and grab your eight ounces of present. I already have mine free, mixed and put into four different types. Let's grab our glitters and our colorants. We're going to start by putting violet into one of the cups, starting with one drop. I'd like to start with one drop on all of these so I can see how much color we actually need. So let's pull one drop of clover and next we're gonna put one drop of rose and last is one drop of water melon. Let's go ahead and start mixing these. I ended up putting multiple drops in each one of them, but you can add as many as you want or as little as you want. Now I'm going to mix in my purple, blue and green glitter flicks. Now let's move on to the green. Add a few drops at your green glitter flakes and mix. Now we're going to do the same for the pink and the red. Yeah, use your lighter and pop any air bubbles on the surface. Remember to do this quick and swiftly, so you don't burn any of the cups or the present. Now we're going to start with the love mold, so move the green and the purple out of the way and pull the love mold down. I like having each letter a different color, and then as they come buying, they mix a little bit. But you can do it any way you want. Make sure you pour all of the letters and then start to add second layers on top. - Let's pull the love out of the way and bring down your live mold and grab your purple and green resin. Let's pour the same way we did the love Now that we finished pouring, let it sit for 24 hours so we can begin to de mold the next day. They're now ready to de mold, so let's begin and start pulling off the mold. Be careful not to rip the mold. - This turned out very beautiful. Now let's deem old are live. - Now we're gonna put him on display. - Thank you so much for watching, I hope, because really enjoyed learning how to make the Audi D love and balls 4. LED Bear & Kitty: Hey, guys, welcome to my video. In this lesson, you will learn how to create Led bear and kitty. Okay, Everything you need is listening description of this video with a link to all the products I used. Now let's get started. Let's start by grabbing our led lights, making sure they turn on and untangle them. Next, grab your paintbrush and begin to wrap the wire around it. We're going to wrap differently than previous videos. Things time. We want our wire toe overlap over and over again. As you can see, instead of pulling the wires down, overlap the exact wires. I just rest. You want to do this over and over again until you reach the end of your world. Just don't wrapped too tight or you'll have a hard time getting your pain fresh out. Once you finish wrapping. Now you can pull your paintbrush. As you can see, we have a completed, thick oil led water. Let's repeat the exact same process to the next led wire. Now that we have to coil led lights, let's grab our Moz. Make sure that the bear and kitty molds are facing forward towards you. Now let's grab our led lights and place them in the molds. Put the end of the wire towards the back of the mold. This is a good tactic for when you display your finished piece. The warriors air in the back. Okay, let's put these on the side for now and grab your gloves and glitter, makes your things together and makes your yellows together. The last glitter is already premixed, and it's purple, blue and green. All combine. Go ahead and measure out six ounces of resin. You need three ounces of a and three ounces of B. I already premixed mine for this video. Once you have your resin mixed poor in equal amounts into each cup thes, they're two ounce cups. Remember to scrape out all the resin. Don't waste any now. Let's mix our resident glitter. I ended up adding a little purple glitter to this mix. Use your lighter and pop all that air bubbles on the surface. Now let's begin our poor. Let's start with the pink. Pour half into the bear and the rest into the kitty. Scrape all of it out, grab you yellow and pour half into the bear and the rest into the kitty repeat the same process with the blue. After using the lighter to pop, the air bubbles and mixed another ounce of resin and added pink glitter. After using the lighter to pop the air bubbles, I mixed another ounce of resin and editing glitter. Now let's wait 24 hours until fully cured. Now that my pieces have hardened could begin to demote them. Now begin by gently removing the mold. Do not pull on them hard so you don't give them The's turned out even more beautiful than I thought they would. I'm glad I made that mistake. I love how the pink reflects on the bottom. If you want the same effect, you can just add the pink resin of the end. Now let's put these on display. - Thank you so much for watching my video and supporting my art much love. Samantha 5. LED Hanging Owl: Hey, everyone, welcome to my video. In this lesson, you will learn how to create led wall hanging. Our everything you need is listed in the description of this video with a link to all the products I use. Now let's get started. Grab your led lights, make sure that they turn on and untangle them. Now you're gonna use your paintbrush and begin to wrap the wire around the paintbrush. Be sure not toe. Overlap the wire. Just wrap pulled down and continue to wrap and repeat the process until you're done with the wire. Go ahead and pull out your paintbrush and you should have a perfectly coiled wire. Let's start by stretching out our wires lightly, holding it over and twisting the two ends together. Twist the first led light with the last led light. Now begin to push and twist the wires together. Let's pull our wire apart a little more and repeat the same process of twisting and pushing together. Now that start the wiring, fold the wire into the bottom of the trim of the mold and begin to wrap the wire around. Now, start pushing the wire into the side of the mold do this all the way around the edge of the mold. Be sure not to put any wires in the feathers of the owl. We're going to be drilling holes into those later. It's going to take some practice to get the wire to stay into the mold, so please be patient with yourself. Let's continue the process all the way around. I stretched out my wire a little too much. If you did the same thing, you can either redo your wire or overlap on the bottom of the mold. Once our wire is staying put, we can begin our poor. Go ahead and grab your four ounces of resin. I mixed two ounces of a and two ounces of beef. I'm going to pour. Be into a and scrape all of it out. Make sure not to leave any in the cup. Now we're going to start by mixing our resin slowly so we can avoid as many air bubbles. Your resin is going to go from cloudy to clear, and that's how you know it's completed. Makes for a few minutes. Now that a resinous done, grab your lighter and pop any air bubbles on the surface. Now we can grab our glitters in these three mixing cups. I have black glitter, rose, gold and silver. Go ahead and pour equal amounts into each cup. Make sure to scrape all the resin out We don't want to waste. Now let's mix our lesson and glitters. Use your lighter and pop any air bubbles on the surface. Now it's start are poor. I used the black first and poor little bit into the middle of the hour. I don't want to pour too much at first because I don't want it spreading all over quickly grab your silver resin and poured into one wing and then grab your rose gold and poured into the other. Once you've done that, foursome rose gold next to the silver, then foursome silver next to the rose Gold. Now that we have our base poor, let's continue to pour the rest of the resin. - I can see that my led lights sticking out a little bit, so I'm gonna grab a Popsicle stick and slightly push down on it. We don't want to disturb the rest of the wire. Once you have your wire in, continue your poor once you're satisfied with your poor let it sit for 24 hours. So we condemn old it. Grab your tape and pull a piece off long enough to fold over, grab your tape and pull a piece off long enough to fold over. Okay, Once you've folded over, tape it to the back of your our I use the left wing. Now let's grab our black many rubber band. Begin to wrap the wire around the battery pack of the lights and tire with the rubber band . Now weaken Sick this to the back of the owl so our wire is hidden. Now grab your many drill and begin to drill a hole into the wing of the hour. We're going to use the fifth feather end on the corner of the seven. Now let's begin to drill into the feather. We're going to use the corner and drills lightly, just not too close to the edge. Let's do the same thing to the other side. Now we're going to drill a hole on the corner feather just the same way that we did on that other feather. Okay, let's do the same thing to the other side. One thing I forgot to mention for the tools you need. You also are gonna want I loose chain so we can hang your our. Now let's begin to add are split rings. Open your split ring inserted into the whole of the feather and pull it through. You can use needle nose pliers if that's easier for you. Now let's repeat the same process to the rest of our holes. There's one more hole that we need to drill, and it's going to be at the bottom of our owl. Make sure you're led. Wire is not in the way. When you drill, we're gonna drill right in the center of that bottom feather. I like to make sure our led lights are still working after all that drilling. Now let's add our last split ring. Grab your chain, opened the split ring, insert it and loop it through. Let's repeat the same process to the other side. Now let's grab our accessories and begin to connect them to the rest of the split rings. These accessories that I used are just some old jewelry pieces I found. I'll try to link them into my hand Mazon shop, but if I can, I'll find something similar. - Now that we have all our pieces linked. Let's put her on display. I absolutely love how this turned out. Thank you guys. So much for watching and thank you for supporting my art and my videos. I'll see you in the next one. 6. Left Over Resin - LED Hanging Wolf Moon: Hey, everyone, in this video, I'm gonna show you why you should never waste leftover resin. Everything you need is the sit in the description of this video with a linked all the products I use. Now let's get started, just like in the previous video That's coil our wire twisted around and wrap it into the old way. Let's continue pushing into the truth booth. Once you're satisfied with your wire and it's staying put, let's begin Airport. I started with the black and began to pour it into the wolf. As you can see, our resin is getting pretty thick because the curing process has already started. So let's get this done as soon as we can. Make sure to scrape it all out, use your popsicle stick and spread it around a little bit. Now been a grandma Rose gold for a little bit into the wolf and the rest all around. Grab your silver and do the same thing way. Wait, now I'm just going to scrape out the remaining resin from the rest of the cops. Now that my poor I'm gonna, like set 24 hours and the mold it Let's go ahead and grab our tools. We're gonna need Scotch tape. Your many twist hand drove three minutes. Foot brings a mini black rubber band a loose chain, an accessory. Go ahead and rip off a piece of your scotch tape. Fold it over and tape it to the back here. Peace. Now I'm gonna grab our lady wire, wrap it around the battery pack use are many black rubber band and tie them together. Once you've tied them together, stick it to the back here. Piece to hide the battery pack and the weight. Just the wire as needed. Now, let's grab our mini twist handrail before we begin drilling. Let's turn on our led wire so that when we drill, we know we're not gonna hit the wire. Once you found your spot, begin drilling. Let's do the same thing to the opposite side. - Go ahead and grab your chain and a split ring and loop them together. Open your split ring, plus your jane in loop it through. You can use in you nose pliers. If that's easier. Thing is optional, but I grabbed a larger gold ring and loved it through the top of the split ring. Let's put that aside for now. Grab your split ring and loop it into the top of the crescent moon. Open your split ring inserted into the hole that you drill and loop it through. Let's do the same thing to the other side. Grab your chain, opened the split ring inserted and loop it through. Now grab your accessory and booth. I used some wire cutters just to help me pull this through. It's better to use needle nose pliers for that, but I didn't have any on hand. Now let's put her on display. Thing is why it's so important never to waste any resin. I created a whole nother piece with it. Thank you guys so much for watching my video and supporting my art. I'll see you in the next one 7. LED Pikachu Part 1 : Hey, guys, welcome to my video. They are also listed in my Amazon link. The's led lights air a lot easier to work with, so once you're done placing them, let's grab our glitters and start mixing them into our resin. I'm using these yellow glitter flakes and I'm gonna pour a good amount into the resin. Now I'm going to add my fine yellow glitter. This glitter is really going to make your peek a choo pop. Now let's begin mixing now that our glitter is mixed. Let's begin our poor. - Make sure to scrape out all of your residents. Don't waste and use your lighter and pop any air bubbles on the surface. Two of them are flat and one of them is pointed. Let's begin by grabbing our black paint, putting a little in the mixing cup. Use a small, flat brush, and we're going to begin by painting the years way. There's a small line on the here, and we're gonna pay on the inside of that only way to the other side. We're gonna paint two layers of black on each year. Once you're done with that, grab your pointed brush and we're gonna use that to paint the inside of the eye way. Don't stretch it too much, so we don't have extra wear. Now let's begin at the bottom of the mold. Push your wire to the rim of the mold and continue the process all the way around. Once you've adjusted your wire and it's now staying put, let's grab some sand and begin to port at the bottom of the mold. Now grab your blue rocks and pour them in the middle. Now that's at our white rocks and finally the black on the tip of the Michigan. Go ahead and adjust Iraq says Need be. You're gonna need about three ounces of resin. I premixed mind for this video. Now let's grab our colorant. Forget me, Not. I added three drops of blue blue that I was aiming for was more of a translucent blue, which is exactly what I got. So three drops was perfect. Now let's begin our poor. - Once you've completed your poor, use your lighter and pop any air bubbles on the surface. Make sure you do this quickly and swiftly. Now, let's wait 24 hours until it's fully cured. Let's begin by carefully removing the mold from our peace way had a little bit of overspill . So we're gonna use some wire cutters and carefully begin to cut off the extra resident. Stay close to the edge is as you cut and make sure you're wearing safety goggles. - Once you're done trimming, you're gonna want to sand down the sharp edges. I'm using this pointed sander and I'm gonna put it on Level two.
