About This Class

The thought of knitting your first sweater can seem like a daunting task, but never fear! The Our Maker Life team will break down this beginner-friendly 1760 Sweater pattern by We Are Knitters in a five part tutorial. This class will show you how to create the rib stitch used at the bottom of the sweater using a combination of knitting and purling.

I’m so excited to show you that anyone (yes, even you), can create their very own cozy handmade sweater!

This is Part 2 of a five-part tutorial put together by the Our Maker Life dream team. See below for all the steps you'll need to complete your 1760 Sweater journey:

Part 1: Casting On by Jewell Washington / Northknits
Part 2: Learning the Rib Stitch by Kelly Brooks / knitbrooks
Part 3: Sleeves, Increases & Cuffs by Alison Abby / La Reserve Design
Part 4: Front, Back & Embellishment by Kathleen Jones / Country Pine Designs
Part 5: Blocking and Seaming by Nathan Bryant / Loop n Threads
