About This Class

Join Skillshare Product Designer Andrew Mercando for this 60-minute, essential class on mobile app design. You'll learn how to use Sketch by designing the interface for a simple to-do list app. Sketch is a great tool for all digital product designers to learn, it is especially great for creating interfaces for mobile devices. Sketch makes it easy to get your ideas out of your head and onto the screen beautifully.

This class is great for anyone who's been wanting to try mobile app design, but doesn't know where to start. You'll come away with a good grasp on the Sketch tool, what it can do, and how to leverage it to make your ideas possible.

Pretty clear basics on Sketch. If you are a total beginner this tutorial helps tremendously.

Learning... to Live

Very easy to follow beginner's guide to Sketch. Only problem, although small, is that the latest version of Sketch isn't exactly the same as the one Andrew is using. This becomes apparent when he "Excludes text elements from Symbols" when he's talking about Symbol creation. In the latest version of Sketch this has been replaced with a new functionality called "Overwrite". Other than that, pretty solid class.
