About This Class

Dive into Basic JQuery and learn  to write “event-based” code! Modals and Mobile Menus are our focus for this 1 hour workshop!

Write Less and Do More with JQuery! This class will cover “event-based” JQuery functions that you can use to make your site more user interactive! Enable your site to run functions/animations based on user events like clicks, button presses, and mouse positions in order to link to other pages, expand, collapse, show, or hide content. Also learn to add pop-ups to guide your user to specific actions! Using our starter-code, follow along in class to add JQuery into our class demo site! By the end of class, students will have the basics of an  interactive site to include in their portfolios or for personal/commercial use!

Prerequisites: Intermediate HTML/CSS skills are required. It is recommended that you take a basic javascript functions class prior to this class!
