1. Introduction - Let's boost your Instagram account!: Hi. Um, rom bumbling. And this class, I want to talk to you about the number one reason you're not getting the engagement and followers that you deserve on your INSTAGRAM account. Now, I'm sure some of you enrolled in my previous class on INSTAGRAM marketing, which was all about getting 1000 followers in 30 days and you saw some amazing results. I was amazed by how fast someone would get top fallers. It was really amazing to see, although some of you are struggling with getting to that number and I was looking at some of the accounts that are struggling, and I see the same problem all across these accounts. It's one basic little thing that you need to understand when you start out with instant where marketing Now, this course is not for you. If you just want to use the fun, just photos of your family or a cat or something like that. This is for Mr Grammars. Use it for marketing to get either email sign ups or sales eventually. This is what I want to talk to talk to you about in this class. It's not gonna be any complicated stuff. It's gonna be a short class, so I don't want to waste your time, and I don't want to waste my time either. So let's jump right and and let's get started and cracking and get your INSTAGRAM account up and running. 2. Who am I to tell you what to do? [Results]: Okay, First of all, welcome again to this class. My name, Ismar Mbemba Lee. And we're gonna talk about one single thing that I think is gonna help you in your instagram marketing because I see so many accounts out there with a lot of potential, but they're just missing this one single thing. But before we jump into that, I just want to show you who I am and what I'm doing right now in, uh, in my instagram marketing. So this is my main account right now, and it's about design and design sketching. So I have all these sketching images here in posts about design sketching, marker, sketching and so on. And I'm using this to send people to my website and all the website. I have a sign up form, and I have Ah, I have some online courses and so on. Now, you might think that this Onley works because I know how to sketch. Well, I don't want to waste your time, so I'm gonna show you that it works that I know what I'm talking about and that it works for different accounts. So I created a test account a while ago. Just to see what would happen if I did the same thing, but with pretty random pictures here you can see this is not really anything special. It's just something anything any anyone can do put together these kind of quotes and some images and stuff like that. And I got up to 1000 followers. It has dropped out because this account I'm not using it anymore. Last time I used it was probably two months ago or something like that. But I use this link up here. Teoh send people to a course of mine. And I just want to show you these two accounts how to get to 1000 followers using this one thing that I'm about to talk to you about in the next videos. 3. The one question you need to be asking yourself: Alright, guys. So you're starting out a brand or you're starting. Install where marketing and you wanna drive traffic to your business. So what is the most important thing for you to think about or what should you ask yourself when you're starting out? Now, this this might be something that you don't want to hear. But it's is the truth, and that is that nobody cares about. Are they either you or me personally, because they don't know you. So you don't really care about a stranger, and you don't want to follow somebody just because, you know just because you want to follow, hit the follow button. You follow somebody because they provide something that is of value to you. So that's the most important thing. When you're starting out, you need to figure out what kind of value or how you are going to help your audience by either writing it in the captions like this, or you can make short tutorials like this one right here. This is a video tutorial where I talk about sketching a chair in and how to sketch product in perspective or anything that you might that you know that you know is going to help your audience 4. Feed your audience what you know they love: all right, so now we know what it is we want to offer our followers and what kind of value we want to provide now that the next step is to make a plan off, how narrow our niche is going to be and that by that I mean, what are we going to posts? It's really important to keep posts within the niche and not post anything that's unrelated to your business or unrelated to building your brand. And this is especially important when you just start out. So I'm gonna try and find some accounts here just to show you what I'm talking about. Let's check this one out. Look at 664 likes it's OK and let's see okay, 41,000 followers you can see here that they're doing. They're keeping everything super consistent, and they're offering value by these quotes and the captions. So you want to do similar stuff to this. So when you look at so when people come to your account that they check it out real fast, I mean, you only have a few seconds for people to understand what your account is all about. Let's check this 1 2600 And obviously it's about two copies and super narrow niche here, which probably give them a big following. So if these guys imagine if these guys were to post an image off A, I don't know, a cat or a dog. I mean, they would immediately lose followers if they did that, because they're not sticking to what their followers are used to seeing and what their followers want to see. So let's see if we can find something else here that's unrelated to design. There's a lot of design and sketching in here. What is this 112? It's a bit too small. 768. Okay, so let's check this out. They were working on the creative book. How many followers? 26 4 That's okay. And as you can see here, they keep the style of images similar, all of them or a similar style. And they offer value here by asking the audience or the followers to take action. So, for example, leave your comments below designer or developer or both law. They ask questions that keep their followers engaged, and they probably have a link up here. Teoh become a better tester. Leave your mail. Okay, that's cool. So you can be a part off what they're doing. So for people that are interested in developing and stuff like that, this is probably a good page to follow. And this is what I'm talking about. You want to keep posts, asked consistent and giving your followers exactly what they are looking for. 5. Your first post - Keep this in mind: So here's a concrete example off how to start your account. So this is my own account, and I want to show you one of the first images that I posted and what I put in the caption and so on. So first of all, I wanna let everybody know what this account is going to be about. To have a bunch of sketches here, marker sketches, and I also put in the caption something off value that I think my followers or my target audience is going to like to read. So this is about how do you learn how to sketch course and your mind said about progress and getting better. It's stuff, and basically that you need to do instead of just learning about it. So you need to take action, and I post a moldy sketches and flat throwback Thursdays and stuff like that. You want to use all of those instagram terms if you can, and then you build up your audience and that that first post was from September 2014. So these these things they do take time, don't get me wrong. It can go super fast, but usually it takes it takes a long time to build up a falling because people want to trust you. And you need Teoh build up that trust. Also I make from my products. This is from one of my courses. I make short videos like this explaining what the courses about, but at the same time, I'm giving value through this video. So I'm doing both. I'm not just promoting. I want to give something of value at the same time. And that's what I'm trying to do here with these videos and same thing here. I posted this, I think, yeah, to eight hours ago. It's about the pen that I use. And this is stuff that I know my followers air going to like because they always ask about what kind of tools are used. Kinda pans. Markers are used. I want to provide that info to them. It's easy to do, and it takes two minutes to put together 6. What to do with the link in your bio [Example]: Okay, So I hope all of that made sense up until now. And I just want to make clear that if you have any questions or something is not clear, just write your question in the class community, and I'll be happy to try and help you with that. So when I want to talk about the link that you have right here in your bio and what you should put in it. So I'm trying to build a relationship here. That's the most important thing with your audience. You wanna make them trust you and show them that you really tried to help them because you know that you can help them, but you just need to show them that you are willing to help them for free. And they could also go to my bulldog, where I offer even more free value and free articles and stuff like that. What is concept designed? For example, learn how, Teoh make your sketches, pop. What's your unique skill in some motivation for design students? Because it used to be one myself, but I know how confused and it can be. So I'm trying to clear stuff up here for my followers, an audience. So the main thing here, guys, is to build a build up trust with your audience and show them that you know what you're talking about and that you can help them. That is what you want to have your focus on when you're starting out. And always keep in mind that even though it sounds hard, but just remove yourself out of the equation and just focus on helping your target audience and everything work out fine. And your follower numbers are definitely going to grow. So that's about it. That's the short stuff that I wanted to share with you in this class. I hope you learned something.
