In this lesson, we're gonna talk about your ideal client. Your ideal client or your ideal customer. Are the people that are gonna buy your art or by your book or by your articles or music or photography? These are the people that you want to attract your instagram site. And to do that, you have to first know who these people are going to teach you how to do that by showing you how I did it. I started by asking myself a few questions. What am I selling? Well, I have two things that I sell. I sell digital art prints that people can see the prints, see if they like it and download it, printed off on paper that they like themselves and then frame it in a frame that they like themselves. And the second item that I sell are the actual high quality paper art prints that I will download it in, print it myself and mail it to you. Another question I wanted to ask was, What is my style and my subject? When I created these illustrations, I didn't have a specific client or customer in mind. I just wanted to express myself creatively, and this is the results that I got. So my style is colorful, yet it's very minimal. There's only one subject, yet the subject is very busy. There's a lot going on in that one subject. I like drawing animals, So my subject in this case are animals. They're cute, their whimsy, but they still have a bit of an abstract theme to them. The next question I wanted to ask myself is, Who would buy these art prints? So going back to my style and subject list, the people who I think would be really attracted to my art prints are people who are minimalists. They don't have clutter in their life. They like things very simple. And they value the possessions that they do have because they don't have a lot. They don't want a law. And these prints, being one abstract single subject, would really appeal to people who wanted to put something on their walls or in their office . That represents things that they like but still has a very minimal, simplistic, Uncluttered, clean look. Another type of person that would like the digital art print are tiny home owners people who live in perhaps under 500 square feet, People who have joined the tiny house movement and really have to be very particular with what they have and what they put on their walls because they are minimalists. And the digital component of these art prints is that somebody can buy the art print downloaded on their phone or downloaded into their tablet or laptop and just save it there . And when they're ready to print it out, they can go to their stationery shop or can coast or staples and print the image on the paper that they want and then frame it the way that they want for their tiny home interior decorators and home to core stylists would like these prints, too, because they have a trend to them. They're not something that's really been seen before, and it's a new style for the next season. These prints would look really great on nursery walls, babies and newborns and Children's walls so they would be perfect to market to people that are buying for a baby shower or a new born or a child, or redecorating a child's room going from new born to a toddler. They make great office artwork. So people who are decorating their new office also because of the subject of animals people who are animal lovers would like these types of prints and also creatives, because there's a whimsy and an abstract component to these art prints. So now I have a few different ideal clients that I would like to market for. Now I'm gonna take this information, and in the next lesson, we're going to create Hashtags that will attract these ideal customers. Toe Look at my instagram page and, potentially by these art prints, I'll see you in the next lesson. 3. Lesson 2: Effective Instagram hashtags that attract the right people: hello and welcome back to class. In this lesson, we're gonna talk about Hashtags to use that will attract your ideal client. So this morning I posted this image of a pumpkin and let's see the hashtags. So the first thing that I did is instead of going straight into a hash tags, I wanted to write something about what I posted. So I wrote that my favorite thing about a digital art print is that I can keep it in my email until I'm ready to frame. I also love that it's less expensive than a print. I can use high quality paper that I want to use and frame it my way. So this is already telling my followers and people who like this image why I like it. What are the benefits of having a digital print in Instagram? You can use about 30 hashtags, and I try to use all of them. And for this print I used tiny house tiny homes. Homestead Homestead is generally a hobby farm or people who live on a sustainable property that grow their own food that have their own animals and really enjoy a very natural way of life. I also hash tag minimalist, but I did minimal and minimalism as well. I did simplicity, clean and declutter because there are companies out there and people out there that have a business to come in and declutter people's homes or rooms. And these people can look at the images and go. Okay, I'm gonna declutter somebody's house and then introduce this new art to them where it's very simple and clean and would fit into the aesthetic of their new space. Even though I have simplicity, I put simple. And now I want to attract some bloggers. I really love Mom, bloggers or Mommy bloggers. They really have their finger on the pulse of what's happening in online communities. And they're very happy to see something new that they can write a post about and promote or repost. So I like to put in mom Bloggers also Children working mom, motherhood work at home. Mom, Mom blogged, newborn nursery decor nursery Mommy Bloggers. Mommy, home to course, stayed home. Moms baby fashion because somebody who is looking at a baby fashion hashtag will come across this and go Oh, that also goes really well with style of the room that I want to create for my baby pumpkin , because that's the subject. Boss, Mom, Mom and me, Animal prints and Toronto because that's where I'm located. So these hashtags that I used four hours ago attracted 25 likes so far, and that was in the morning during the day this will grow, and I might even go in and change some of the hashtags to attract to different people, and that will grow this number as well. Now something that I really like doing. Is these people the 25 people who liked it? That's great. That means that they enjoyed the image that I posted, but what's even more awesome is when people actually write something. So I want to go to this person here in the next lesson and try and build a relationship because I've already introduced myself to them through this image. They responded with a comment, and instead of letting them hang, I just want to respond back and see if perhaps we can even work together in some capacity to promote each other's creative business. I'll see you in the next lesson, 4. Lesson 3: Build a relationship with your ideal customers on Instagram: hello and welcome back to class. In this lesson, we're going to connect with a person that liked our art, me to comment. So I'm going to come down here and I'm going to go to Dawn's plants and see who this person is. So right now, I'm not following. But I can tell they probably do want to follow them for the reason that well, first, I love their stuff. It looks like they have a lot of interaction. A lot of people like their items. I also do a lot of botanical images, so I could see that perhaps I would like to connect with this person. They like that minimalist simplicity. Look that I like. So I'm going to come up here and just see what their about their plant experts. And they've invited us to follow them on Facebook there from Australia, which is awesome, cause I sell digital prints. It doesn't matter where in the world, and even when I send my paper prints, I do free global shipping because it's not that expensive to ship it. They have over 21 1000 followers, so I'm definitely gonna follow these people. There we go and then I have some suggest IDs, sites to follow. So what I would do here is find something that I really like. OK, so this is their latest thing that they've done. I love succulents and just see what they've said. So they written down some succulence and they used all these nice hashtags. So anybody if I were looking for nature, there's somebody that said nice there and nice And now I'm going to like and I'm going to say something. Let's see love your images. I look forward to seeing more your Canadian van and then just rate my and enter. So there we go. So now they're going to see that, and it's a little bit more than nice or a light it's actually took. I took the time to think of something to say and write it down for them. So now I'm hoping that maybe we can start to create a bit of an online friendship. I'll go over to their Facebook page and like that and see a little bit more off their aesthetic. I love this image here. This is really simple and in line with simplicity that I subscribed to so that just a few moments, and this can potentially grow into a mutually beneficial greed of partnership. So there you have it. A nice brief introduction, how to use Instagram as an excellent creative marketing tool. Please stay in touch and let me know how you applied these lessons to grow your instagram followers. And it's not just any INSTAGRAM followers that you want. You want ideal followers, your ideal clients, because these are the people that like your images, which is great. And then hopefully one step further will follow you. And then another step would be to make a comment. And then you can start to build a relationship from there. This was a fun class to teach.
