Project Description

  1. Taking this class you will learn more about Indian cooking and exploring different spices. You're class project is to used the Ingredients and created the appetizers and share your results! 
  2. ALOO TIKKI
    Red potato boiled, peeled and mashed 1-1/4 cup
    Peas and carrots boiled 1/2 cup
    Garam masala 1/4 tsp
    Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
    Fresh cilantro 2 Tbsp
    Sugar 1/2 tsp
    All purpose flour 1 tsp
    Lemon juice 1 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Oil for shallow frying.

  3. CHICKEN TIKKA
    Chicken breast 1 cut in pieces
    Lemon juice 1 tsp
    Plain yogurt 1/2 cup
    Ginger 1 tsp
    Garlic 1 tsp
    Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
    Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Oil 1/2 tsp
    Tandoori masala powder 1 tsp

  4. SAMOSA
    For dough
    All purpose flour 2 cup
    Self rising flour 1/4 cup
    Butter 1/4 cup
    Lemon juice 1 tsp
    Sugar 1/4 tsp
    Ajmo or carom 1/4 tsp
    Water

    For filling
    Red potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 3 about 2 cups
    Frozen green peas boiled 1/2 cup
    Cilantro 2 Tbsp
    Ginger 1 tsp
    Green chili 3 paste
    Amchur (dried mango powder) 1 tsp
    Kasuri mathi (dried fenugreek leaves) 1 tsp
    Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
    Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
    Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
    Oil 1/8 cup

    You can buy all the Indian spices in your local Indian store or amazon.

  5. CILANTRO CHUTNEY

    Cilantro 1/2 cup
    Salt to taste
    Green chili 5
    Ginger 1/2 tsp
    Lemon juice 1 Tbsp
