1. Introduction: In this course, I'm going to give you very simple steps to follow to draw an eye on procreate on iPad. Usually, we can think that an eye is very hard to draw and we never really know what to start. I'm giving you the first step that will be very helpful to start to learn how to draw an eye from the sketching with inking and completing with color. 2. Starting the sketching: In this video, we're going to see how to draw with procreate an eye. And this eye is going to be first draw with a sketch. Then we're going to ink with some black outlines. And then we're going to add the color. To create this aisle with procreate, you have to understand the principle of layers. We're going to have a couple of layers. One for this catch, one for the inking, and one for the color. To the role. We're going to use some brushes and some tools by sketching, inking, and painting for the color. First, let's try sketching. When I select the tool, I'm going to slide the color. And for the sketching, I used to take the blue one. You can select any color you want, but the blue is differently. Uh, what looks like a sketch like if he was using a real pen on a paper and glue, it will be more obvious when you will draw a beloved the inking to see the difference between the inking, which represents the last version of your drawing and sketching in blue that will have to be hidden afterward. On your left, you have the size of the brush here. And here you have the opacity. First, Alivio pasty at 100%, and the burst size at the maximum. First, you will have to draw something like this. It will be the main form of your eye. And you can earn force the line above. And you will get something like this. If you have any difficulties to do such form. You can train yourself, drink such form. And when you feel more comfortable with this, you can go to the next step. So you draw this and you get this line. More strain that the one down here. And then you will draw normal here or something that she's having. The former cycle. And this cycle, it touching the line here, is very important. Otherwise it will be like if your character were hypnotized. Okay? And then you can draw a symbol inside, like infill in black. Or you can fill it with the color. I can use the eraser here too. He raised around a little bit. Alright. Now I take my pen here and I can draw a small line here. And we have the details around the eyes. Because remind, I remind you that an EIS is something like this, not like this. So we have a form here and here. And this, you can add this part. It's like if you note the note was on this side, then you can start erasing this part. 3. Adding details: Then we continue by drawing the eye borough we can have right here. So when you are still on the step of the sketch, you can just suggest the place of this eyebrow. But now let's continue to draw this. I. We can say that the layer one fuses catching is done, a real rename it and call it sketch. And then I will create a new one. I will rename it to Jesus will be the inking. And then I click outside twice to be back on the working space. So now we have here the layer sketch, we have the background color. We don't touch to this, we want to keep the white. But the first layer, the sketch and the single layer inking, I will select the black color. Then I will say this brush. And this time I'm taking the inking rush, you have plenty of brushes you can use, and you can say the one you want to, you would prefer. And to select it, you can select, for instance, this one. You can test it with two fingers on your screen to do the cancellation option, to erase what you just did. Inca again, test it. Alright. Pantone. Alright, and Tinderbox. Ok, yeah, we'll keep this one. So every time when you are working on layer on another, just make sure you're on the right layer. Ok. We'll zoom in and I can rotate. My working space are causing to how each will be better for you to draw. And I will start to draw one single line from 1 to another. Then. 4. Completing the sketch: Then we are going to draw the details inside the eyes. But you don't choose the temperature. On your pencil. You make sure to have different kind of pressure. So you have two things. You have the pressure and you have the size of the brush. You will have to find the way you want to use both of these options. But both of them are going to be very important when you are drawing an illustration. Then drawing the outline of the eyes. And I can draw also the light inside the eyes. The line here is less detailed than the one above. And if you zoom out, you will get something like this. And if you hide your sketch, you will get your highs drop. So we can also draw now the line here, here and the node that had been due here. So now when you have this, you can keep drawing this over and over again and to feel more comfortable enjoying an i. And when you are done with this, with a few steps, I give to you, then you can start doing the color. For the color, I create a new layer. I rename it color. And I will add some colors. This time for the color. I will say this brush. I will click on painting. And I can try different kinds of brushes. I can show you actually like for instance, which one is very similar to a real painting. You can have in in reality. So it'll take a color that could be similar to the skin color. And I can paint here. So we have a main problem here, which is the transparency. So when you go on the layer here, you have the N. The N means normal. You will layer is a normal mode. I click on the end. And I will select the multiply mode, which is giving you a transparency mode. From there, I can continue to add some skin color map. And to smooth this color, I can use the finger. And when I use the finger, I'm smoothing this like this. Alright. Now I will do the inside of the eyes and selecting the White. A brush can keep on acrylic we take, we decrease the size of the brush just to fill in white. The eyes. And you will see that it is not a perfect white because this brush is mixing the colors you have here. A bill. If I won't take back some skin color, I just putting my finger on one other color and keeping my fingers on the screen, you can select the color and say this one. And we just correct what we have here. Then I can select a darker color here and just add something, Air. And the finger, I'm smoothing again. Alright? And I do the same on the corner of the eye that is given to the nose and smooth thing again. Now, the inside of the eyes, I'm taking my brush, safety to whites and putting additional words inside. And I'm going to do the color, blue color. But this time I'm going to change the brush and I would take the inking and saving this one. Because thinking is a very stronger color and there is less transparency in taking a blue. And I can fill this. Okay. And then can cite some blue color just to do additional rays. And I can again smooth this corner to create the effect we want. Alright. Now I can also zoom out and I want to add a light bubble inside the ice, despite Google is going to give life to your counter. But as the, this layer is already full of different kinds of colors, I can create, create another layer just for the white effects. Select very strong white by using inking syrup. And I select the white, pure white here. But my year and I can draw my two light. May even three. If it is not enough. You can also directly go into the illuminance option intake, for instance, this one. And you will get this light effect. Alright, so this different steps, the brushes, the layers, and just what is enough to create your eyes and to give it a human. Failing to give it something that is making this IRL a can belong to someone. This technique could be used for realistic portrays are coming book. So this is this very simple steps that could also be done over and over again. You can drill with this and you can send me also via the platform, the Art Walk you've ever done. I will be glad to leave your comments. Thank you for following this course. I hope to see you soon on other classes.
