In this lesson, we’re going to make a very easy, no fat, bread pudding, with the minimum of ingredients and fuss, and with maximum taste. You probably have all the ingredients you need in your cupboard now.

I remember my mum making this as I was growing up and the smell would fill the house. It was a gorgeous, warm, cosy smell. One that was nice to come home to after being at school on a Winter’s day. Served with hot custard it was truly wonderful.

Bread Pudding is a spiced bread, traditionally made from stale bread but you can make it with fresh bread.
