Project Description

Materials and tools used in my project:

- blank cards (plain white and kraft): the kind of cards you buy to make your Christmas cards

Size closed 10X15 cm (4´X6´ inch)

- washi tapes

- patterned papers (same size as my cards)

- black waxed thread, a awl and a needle for the binding

- ruler, crafting knife, scissors, glue (Mod Podge or any other kind) and doubled sided adhesive tape

- piece of elastic band (bought in a haberdashery shop)

- clear stamps and inks (for this project I used Versafine, Stazon, and Neon Hero Arts inks + embossing powder in neon pink and gold)

I propose you to share here the different steps of your project, as you are making it.

First, do you know which use you want to give to your notebook?

What kind and size of paper you will be using?

Assignment 1: choose a colour palette and patterns combination that would suit your project

With a summery project in mind, I created a free pack of 4 digital papers (shown below) that you can download in "attached files" on the right-hand side section

You can then print and use them as you wish in your project (covers, or inside pages)

If you want to purchase decorative masking tapes online, they are also often called washi tapes. One of my favourite brand is MT (Japan)

Share a photo of your covers

Assignment 2: Once your individual signatures are ready to be assembled, share a photo of each one of them, especially if you have chosen to embellish their spines.

In my project I chose plastic beads for the middle signature, but you could also use wooden beads or even little charms

Assignment 3:

Please share with us a picture of your front cover.

Did you add a title? Some embellishments?

Did you choose a different way to maintain your notebook closed? Share your closure with us

Assignment 4:

When your notebook is finally filled with whatever you have chosen (photos, sketches, ephemera from your travels, etc.), consider to share with us your best pages!

And if you have used stamps, I would be happy to see how!

For any questions or doubt, I am happy to help!

Many thanks for taking this class and sharing your project with us!
