1. Intro & materials used: Welcome to my class on how to make tussle Airings from ribbons. I am your instructor, Adobe Andi. This is what will be making tassel earrings from ribbon on. What you learned from this class, you'll be learning the materials needed to make a ribbon tassel hearing. I also show you how to easily caught on pray a certain ribbon. Three. I'll show you the steps to manipulate a ribbon to create a tassel as well as how to fix hearing hooks. And finally, the steps to decorate have finished tassel earrings, decided materials You need the material used in this project. Ah, one One rule of satin or silk ribbon sees us two wild whole beats, um, hand needles, sewing threat measuring tape. Hearing hooks on a hairbrush kind is the picture all view off the materials needed. - Now let's get started. 2. Cut the ribbon & Fray the edges of the 1st ribbon piece: So in this part of the lecture, I was showing you how to caught out the rib in peace and fray the edges off. The 1st 2nd toward on fourth ribbon piece will be walking with our ribbons trip. I'm using the medium size Revenge Street as well as sees us on our measuring tape. So for our first step, measure seven inches off the ribbon bundle on. We're going to cut out for pieces off ribbon, each using measure. Good measurement off seven inches. Uh, this slight. Next, the next slides will show you each step on how to court each ribbon. So for the first revenge measure seven inches I'm not going to cut it out. We'll measure seven inches. Cut that out again another seven inches and cut it out for the told one on another seven inches, caught another one for the foot river in peace. For the second step, we're going to be using a pair of scissors to trim off both edges along the length off the court out ribbing pieces. So we're going to start with the first reading Peace were caught out, are going to use scissors to trim off the edges the top part on the bottom parts edge off the Gribbin. The slides will show you how it's done. And after trimming, you would notice that each trend off the ribbon can easily come out like if you pull on it , you will see that it strands can come output lengthwise on with wise. So while next step itself towards step, we're afraid of first caught out piece of ribbon with wise using the tip off the needle. Not that you stop a few inches like quota centimeter from the center off the ribbon strip this way Show that we leave a small strip off afraid ribbon in the centre off the ribbon so that when we, uh, passing the ribbon wouldn't want you need to know the ribbon, but want to tie the ribbon It's going to be easy the slides, but you can see for our footstep Repeat Step three on the other side, off the ribbon. So all we do is turn the ribbing to the next site. After stopping halfway Onda, we begin to afraid The left side, with wise as well from the ribbon edges used the tip off the needle to scratch this office on pullout Every every freed strand or string off thread within the ribbons. Piece notes. That's when you have reached close to the center of the ribbon. You stop the quota centimeters from the centre strip. This is to enable us leave a small strip off afraid ribbon at the center of the ribbon so that we can easily fasten it later on in this class, which I'll show you. So after we have reached the centre of the second sight, as you can see, both edges have been properly freed on. We left a small space of all afraid, uh, ribbing in the center US. We are going to make use of it later on in the class. 3. Fray the edges of the 2nd & 3rd ribbon pieces: in the previous lecture, I showed you how to caught out unfree. The first ribbon piece no will be continuing in this part off the class, and I'll be showing you how to fray the edges off the second and Todd caught out ribbon piece So far, Step five. We take the second cartels ribbon strip on, then using a pair of scissors, which ream off both edges. That's the top and bottom edges along the length. Off the court out. We've been piece notes. We are walking on the second rib end piece for our six step. We freed the right side off the ribbon edges, using the tip of a needle, not where to stop a few centimetres quarter centimeters from the center of the ribbon strip . This is to ensure that we have a small strip off. Afraid ribbon on the center, off the ribbon. Fall seven Step or repeat Step six On the other side. My friend left side with wise off that same re been edges using the tip off. The needle notes that on this side we're also leaving a few centimetres. What? That is quite a centimeters from the center of the ribbon piece to ensure that's we. We have someone afraid re been at the centre toe walk with later and where you are, don't freeing. This is high to look like both edges, afraid for our second rib in peace. Step eight. Take the toward Qatar's ribbons strip and then, using a Caesars trim off both edges. That is the top on bottom edges along the length off the cartels ribbon strip assed. You've noticed all we're doing is just repeating the steps that I showed you in the previous slides and previous lecture, just reporting it on the thought caught out. Reborn piece. Step nine Freddie right side off the ribbon edges using the tip off if needle notes that you will stop a few centimetres quarter centimeters from the center of the ribbons trip. This is to enable us leave a small strip. I'm afraid. I dissenter off the ribbon. Step 10. Repeat, Step nine on the other side. By turning the Todd revenged piece to the other side off the strip, we begin to fray the other side with wise on the edges, using the needle notes that we're also going to stop a few centimeters as quote a centimeters from the center off the strip Neatness where nibble loss Have someone freed re been at the center This lies show you how to do so And if you notice we're just repeating the same steps that we have covered in the previous slide Previous lecture on the thought rib in peace and we will do the same as well For the fourth trip in peace. This is hard to look like after a friend told rib in peace. 4. Fray the 4th ribbon piece & create the Tassels: So in this part of the lecture, I'll be showing you how to afraid the faults ribbon, peace on as well as creating to tassel up that 11 we take the foot's caught out ribbon strip Andi. Then, using a pair of scissors, we trim off both edges as a top and bottom edges along the length off the court out ribbing piece. All we are doing in this part is just for the foot Rubin piece, repeating the same steps as we are covered in for the 1st 2nd and toward ribbing. We're going to repeat it on the fourth ribbing. Step 12 we free the right side off the ribbon edges, using the tip of the needle notes as we as we did previously, we're going to leave some centimeters, which is quarter centimeters from the center of the ribbon, so that we can have someone freed parts at the center off the rib in peace, stepped a tin or repeat step 12 on the other side off the ribbon peace. So we just turn our been piece to the other side. That's the left edge on. We begin to free that edge with a tip of a needle, just as we have covered in previous slides on previous lectures, notes that when we get towards the centre off the ribbing, we also leave quotas centimeters from the center so you can have small side of one frayed ribbon toe walk with the town on when you are done, freeing when you reach the center off the ribbon strip for the other side. This is how it will look like how the fourth fabric forts ribbon will look like this is how all afraid ribbons will look like a note that's at the center days. A unknown freed pots off the rib in that was left in this part of the lecture. I will show you how to create a tassel with afraid ribbons for the next step, which is that 14 We're going to repairing the four frayed ribbons into two groups. One set will be used to make the right here on the or are two sets will be used to make the left ear step 15. Measure 10 inches off the tread on courts. It's out. We are going to begin by creating the tussle for the rights Hearing starts by taking the first and second frayed ribbon piece on lane, one them on top of each other. Step 17 we put the caught out tread vertical E over the rib. In peace notes. Make sure that it is positioned at the middle on over the afraid part off the overlapped ribbon piece. So this is the part we're going to be walking with. The afraid parts, the quotas sentiment as we left in the middle that is on freed. In the next step, we fold the tread on the overlapped ribbon piece over each other into two halves. Step 19 from the middle point. Tie a knot once by twisting the tread in on itself. See the slide as soon Step 20 from the middle. Diana. They're not. Twice. By twisting the tread in on itself, this will probably secure the overlapped ribbon piece. Not that the tread is being tied on the afraid part off the ribbing at the center, part of the ribbing Step 21 measure and cut out another 10 inches off tread from the rule of trade in our next step. But when to fold, afraid ribbon in half from the middle points on. Then leave is space off quarter inches from the folded edge. Then we begin to wrap the trade around the four dead ribbing piece Step 23 continuously rapid around the four dead ribbing till the tread is almost exhausted. Then you tie a knot once by twist in the end off the tread in on itself to create a not notice that it is begin to form a tassel on that same point tire. Know that not twice by twisting the tread on itself. This is to ensure that we secure the tread on the ribbing together. Any place on next, you cut off the excess trade with a pair off scissors to create the tassel for the left. Here, we're going to be using the Todd and fought afraid rib in peace, who repeats the following steps as covered from Step 14 to step 22 in the previous slides to create another tussle for the left pair off earrings. Not since that our ribbons have been afraid ribbons are begun to look like a tussle. This is how it will look like after creating both tassels for the rights and left hearing 5. Fix the earring hooks, trim the edges and finish up the tassel earrings: in this final parts off the class, you learn how to fix the airing. Hooks trained the frayed edges. Andi, finish the tassel. Hearing will be walking with this wide hole beads, and we're going to be usually to decorate our tassel earrings. These are the tassel earrings we made from our period using our previous steps in ah, previous lecture. Step 26. Starting with the Tussle for the Rights hearing, we put both ends off the tread through the wide hole bead. We passed the thread through the bead on position it firmly on the folded top part off the tussle. We're going to repeat the same Step 26 to decorate the second tussle for the left earring on when we're done. This is how it will look like the tassels will look like with the bead. Step 27. We want to fix the hearing hook on two of the tassel on. We're going to be starting with the right tussle. The tussle for the right hearing. So for the right side, we take one airing hook and put one end off the tread through the whole off the hearing hook I past the hook down the anti trade down towards to the folded edge off the off the tassel. Then position the hook family on top off the edge off the tassel also, which is also close to the wide whole bead. Except Step 28 ty and not once by twisting the two strings in on itself while nets step on that same spot, you tie another knot twice by twisting the trade in on itself. This will properly secure the hook in place. Step Teti cut off the excess tread with a pale sizzles on when it's done. This is how it will look like with the hook attached to the tassel. Not this is a tattle hearing on the caring for the rights side step. That's the one we want to add. It actually hook for the left side hearing on the left tussle, and we're going to take one hearing hook and put one end off the tread through the whole off the hearing. I next will pass the hook down on the trade down towards the folded edge of the tussle on position, the hook family on top off the tassel for their tussle top, which is also at the edge off the wide beads. Step 32 Tiger, not once. By twisting the two strings off trade in on itself, you notice that we are at this point where just repeating the same steps as Covad's in the previous slides while making the rights hearing tussle. Now we're making the left hearing tussle for the next step. On that same point. You tire not are not twice by twisting the trade in on itself, this is the properly secure. The hook for the left hearing in place cut off the excess trade with the pale scissors. This is how both tassels look like after attaching the beats on the hearing hook. Next, I'm going to show you how to needing up the tussle by trimming off the edges off each tassel. Step 35 labour tassels on a flat surface and then use a hairbrush or come to straighten the frayed strands off each tussle airing in the next step, which will begin by walking on the rights earring Tassel. We're going to use the payoff, Caesar's on measure half an inch away from the edge. Then we begin to court it horizontally in a straight line, making sure that all the strands look equal as possible as we trim the edges off the tussle for the rights earring stepped up to seven for the left side hearing. We're going to repeat the same trimming technique as we have covered in the previous slides . Use a pale sees us leave a space off half an inch from the edge off the tussle ribbon, and we begin to caught horizontally in a straight line, making sure that all the strands look recall as possible. And there we have it are tussle airing made out off ribbons already. Go ahead and try it on and see if it fits. - Thanks for watching on joining this class. I hope you enjoyed it and found it useful.
