About This Class

Hello, I’m Mark and welcome to my course on how to give your bathroom a makeover.

This course will be full of hints and tips to show you how you can give your bathroom the feel of a designer show home. I’ll go through some different styles of bathroom and give you some creative ideas and inspiration on how to spruce it up and turn it into a space you are proud to show off.

I truly believe that every space in the home can be made to look beautiful no matter what your taste or budget. I don’t think everybody’s house should look the same, and with so many different design styles out there, it would be a shame if they did.

The good thing about this course is that I’m not a professional designer. Over the years, I have renovated and decorated many homes, mostly on a tight budget. So, all my hints and tips come from a place of experience in the real-world and not from a design book. When decorating my homes I didn’t have a bottomless pit of money and I couldn’t afford to buy expensive works of art or lavishly opulent focal pieces, however, I did manage to achieve a look that seemed more high end but without spending a fortune.

I’ll show you ways to take inspiration from design magazines, bathrooms you’ve seen on TV and even bathrooms in homes you’ve visited, and achieve similar results in your own home. Things like colour choices, accessories, lighting, furniture, art and even plants should all work together to make a room feel like it has been professionally designed.

1. Introduction: have to give you a bathroom. A makeover. Your bathroom is more than just a place to have a wash and go to the toilet. Your bathroom should be a mini century or a haven, where you can escape from all your stresses of the day. Your bathroom is where you can unwind and relax, and it should be decorated in a way that makes you feel calm and tranquil. In the following lessons, you'll get plenty of creative ideas and inspiration on how to spruce up your bathroom and turn into a space that you're proud to show off. 2. Which style?: which style before we start to give our bathroom makeover, it's a good idea to have him on a specific style. If we don't choose a style or theme to begin with, then it could be hard to stop her imagination from running away with itself. And we risk ending up with a bathroom that looks a bit of a mis mash of all sorts of different styles or completely over the top and a mess. By limiting our imagination, it gives at his own process much more focus on the finished product will end up looking much sleeker on more professional. But which star do we pick? Well, there are many different styles of bathroom, so whether you prefer a more modern design or rustic field there, the stolen were perfect. Match your needs. The list of style seems endless with every country around the world have its own variety of styles. However, I've tried to marry damage. It'll on. I've chosen a selection of the most common and most popular bathroom designs. These are traditional. A traditional bathroom focuses on comfort, functionality and practicality. This sort of bathroom use a lot of polished wood and tense use tiles on the floors and walls in a neutral tone. Transitional, whenever you see anything described, is transitional. It means it incorporates both old and modern design elements. In this sort of bathroom. You could have a modern stall with old touches here in there or vice versa. Rustic, rustic bathroom tends to use a lot of wood with a rule finish. Hand crafted touch. Is there always a noise touch in the style of bathroom? Scandinavian. The Scandinavian bathroom is simple and elegant, with lots of clean lines, and it remains included darkened like Eliza, used together to create a very clean finish. Contemporary events. Every bathroom is another clutter free, open space and ornaments have kept to a minimum. You'll see lots of polished wood's metal accents on a simple color palette. There tends to be floors and can stops may with polished stone or tiles, giving it a clean finish. Modern. A modern bathroom is bulge. It's simple. With CLA ticket to buy. The colors tend to be of a neutral palette, with small splashes of color coming from art plants or a feature Wall Beach, a beast. Our bathroom uses the beach and ocean is inspiration. Color palettes tend to use light blues and greens with white accents. Decorations in the style of bathroom tend to use the ocean demarte, Hessen fabrics, seashells and sand. Mediterranean Mediterranean stall bathrooms Use a lot of dark natural colors for the main furnitures, with contrasting colors appearing in the details. Lots of dark wood and Terek article atolls are found in this sort of bathroom. Oriental Oriental style Bathrooms are very airy and maximize open space in this dollar. Bathroom. Soft browns, beiges and creams appear in the woods, and toils was planted. Ornaments provide the occasional gentle burst of color. To contrast this industrial, the industrial style has recently become very fashionable. It tends to take inspiration from old factories and industrial spices in the bathroom. Lots of metal fixtures and fittings and mixed would a common design elements as well as exposed bricks in terms of color palettes. Bold colors can be used in high contrast with the industrial feel. Shabby chic, the sheriff seeks. Dollar tends to use lots of distressed white with soft pastel accents. This door create a calm space with floor patterns on details such as lace Ruben on brush metal throughout. Once you've chosen a stall. You can then work the brief of that style. It doesn't need to be perfectly in keeping, but you can use it as a sort of reference that you can measure or your choices against when you're out shopping for a soap dish. For instance, if you decided to go with a modern or contemporary style, you know the sort of characteristics to stick to. It all fits together nicely. Sticking to a star also made shopping a lot simpler. Most of the time when you go shopping for your home, you'll find that the choice is absolutely enormous, and this is especially true if you go shopping online. However, if you know the story you're sticking to, you can immediately eliminate a lot of items that aren't in keeping with that style. So it's important to keep in mind that once you've chosen a stall for your room, then you stick to it. Trying to put elements from different designs stars in the same bathroom as it's gonna have to make a room look mismatched. If you want the professionally designed field to a room, then everything should link together. No matter which stall you choose There are three things to remember whenever we want to spruce up a room with that, completely renovating it. These are cooler accents furniture. If we make sure that these three key things work together, there will be able to create a beautifully designed space. But what I mean by color accents and furniture? Well but cooler. I'm referring to the paint or wallpaper on the walls, the call of the tiles on the close of the window, dressings or blinds by accents. I mean ornaments and plants, or even things like taps and plugs. Even tells Comey. Classes an accent in a bathroom if they're on show. The 1st 2 things are relatively inexpensive, but the third point furniture is always the most expensive part of decorating. For the third point, it is not in the budget to change all the furniture. Then we'll have a look at how we can work with what we already have, which in the bathroom will probably include a bathtub, a toilet and a sink. 3. Colour: cooler. So we've chosen what style we want to decorate our bathroom. Now we need to be a color palette. Recall a ski. It's a good idea to choose four or five colors or shades and then stick to them when deciding on your paints, wallpapers, tiles or window dressings. For example, if we were to go with a more traditional style bathroom, the coolest that would be including in our palate would be more neutral tones such as beige , ovary, tope, gray or white. If we stick to the color palettes when decorating the backdrop, them accused war dramatic colors with the accents point. What painting might not seem like rocket science? It isn't the simplest of things to do. Just remember to cover all your fixtures fittings on any tiles. Put down a door sheet on the floor to catch any spillages or flecks of paint on. Prepare the surface. Preparing the surface is a step a lot of people forget to do. If you just go straight to painting, you won't get his nicer finish. I recommend chicken the walls for any lumps or bumps and using some some paper to smooth max. If there are any cracks or chips in the war. Then you can use filler to fill the mean, and then once it's droid, just go over it with some some paper. Taking it home with preparing the war might seem a little bit of a chore, but it's definitely worth it, and you'll be glad you did this in the end. Once you finish standing, just make sure you walk down the walls to get rid of any dust particles that will make the paint a little bit bitty wallpaper, as you can imagine, wallpaper isn't always the first choice when it comes to decorating a bathroom, but it's a great way to achieve the perfect look without the hustle of tiling. If the area you want a war paper isn't minus to the bathroom shower, then it probably won't get splashed very often. So as long as you have enough ventilation or you haven't extractor fan that does a good enough job of stopping your bathroom from turning into a steam room every morning. Then you should be fine. To use normal war paper, however, you can also get splash proof or walkable wallpaper, which is specifically designed for high humidity areas using war paper in that bathroom, even a small area is a great way to update attire. Bathroom. It's easier than toiling on. Also simpler to changes a later date. If you don't want to update it again, a nice idea for a bathroom is to use vinyl wallpaper. Final wallpapers cannot texture and interests of the war, and it's not just the fact that they look nice. They're also very practical, since final wallpapers air easily cleaned, toils harvested. Toiling gives a beautiful finish to a bathroom, but if you can't tell the whole room and try creating a focal point with them, I told Splash back behind the basin or alongside of the bath. Create a beautiful focal point, especially if you created geometric pattern or choose shimmering glass or metallic toils. If you've never told before and really want to have a go, then creating a small splash back is a great start of project free to Troy 4. Accents: accents. Once we decided on a color palette for the background of the bathroom, we can now move our attention to the accents in the bathroom. Accents can include things such as mirrors, towels, bath mats, pictures, containers for products, ornaments, plants and candles. Accents are an important part of the room because they break up the neutrality of the background. Accidents can also give the bathroom and instant update without having to do too much work or spending a lot of money. Mirrors at war mirrors somewhere in a bathroom will make even the smallest space feel a bit more open and airy. Hanging a large mirror creates the illusion of greater space in a small bathroom. Or you could use miracles to banks more light around, which is particularly useful in a room with a limited amount of natural light. Pick a large emir than you think you'll actually need. I always think the bigger is better with bathroom mirrors. If your bathroom his dark, then up for a mirror that stretches all the way from ceiling to the floor. Or, if you have a double sink, offer one huge mirror that extends across both rather small twin mirrors that break up the effects and won't actually cast much light into the room. I know that it for hanging mirrors in the bathroom is to match the mirror to the window. If for inside of the bathroom has a window, consider hanging a mirror across from that window on the opposite side of the bathroom. The mirror will not only bans natural life back into the room, but also reflect views and create the illusion of twin windows in the same spice. If you can't put a mirror across from a window, however, then try putting across from another mirror two mirrors opposite your that can encourage the illusion of an endless spice. In any case, always position a mirror across from something pleasant to look at, like a piece of artwork or a beautifully tiled wall. You could also make a mirror into a focal point, especially if it has a beautiful frame or particularly unique instructing shape. When a mirror becomes a focal point, it draws the eye to the most like catching part of the room. Further enhancing its sense of space, tells tells, are a great way to make your bathroom feel updated. You can buy a set of bath towels quite cheaply, and it will enhance the bathroom immediately, no matter what. Style of bathroom you choose tells and not only a functional necessity, but they also usable ornament. In any bathroom, you should have tails hanging on either a towel row or a towering or hooks bathmat. A good way to break up the floor is to use a bath math. Try to choose a bathmat that contrast your floor so it doesn't disappear. So if you floor is white or light in color and choose a darker bath math or if your floors on the darker side of the scale she was a white or a light colored bath math, remember artistic to something that we can keep him with a stall. You've chosen containers. Finally, accents also include things like containers. Content is a really simple way to bring the style of a bathroom together. Things such as baskets or boxes as well. A soap dispenses and even a Toothbrush Corp stop the bathroom from looking cluttered rather than having shampoo bottles and bubble bath bottles all over the place, totally them away into a nice basket. There's color and design fits in with the stall you selected has your soap dispenser. If he used a liquid so brother in a bar, have a look out for refillable dispenses. This will look much nicer than a plastic bottle that come in. You can even get matching sets that will include torture protocol, Soapdish and tissue dispenser. You can even get toilet roll holders and toilet brush holders to bring everything together . 5. Furniture: furniture. Furniture is pretty self explanatory in the bathroom. It's referring to the bathtub or shower the sink, the toilet, and then he covers. You have. It's pretty important to have the sink, bathtub and toilet all much. It would look a little odd to have a really all night sink next to a very modern store. Bathtub furniture is the trickiest part of the rooms change, especially in the bathroom. The bathtub with shower the toilet on any story space can be quite expensive to change. Plus, they can be very difficult to install if you're doing yourself. However, there are a few ways you can work with whatever you have and just restore it a little. One easy way to update the style in the bathroom. He's just to update the toilet seat. For example, if you go for a traditional style bathroom, you could try incorporating a wooden seat to match any colors You have Another way of modifying the start of a bathtub and sink is to change any taps and plugs you have. These can be bought from any bathroom store or even online, and it wouldn't cost too much to get someone to replace them for you. Or if you're competent at Dior, why, then you could change them yourself. Changing the taps is a surprisingly effective way to give a bath or basin a new look. If you can, I will go to the store and check the quality and see what the tap start like in person First. If your cupboards or cabinets look a bit out of place or a bit dated for this story, have chosen for your bathroom. Then you could either replace them or you could have a go a painting or varnishing them. Patio varnishing isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but if you take your time, he can be really effective with your cupboards are wooden or plastic coated. There is always a special paint that will enable you to change the look of your Corbett and cabinets. Changing your door handles is a really quick and easy way to transform any cabins you have , depending on the style you've chosen. I was just by handles on the larger side as they were helped to enhance the look of your cabinets. Don't buy something to small, where they were looking a bit lost on the Cabinet. Bigger handles will have a dramatic look. Too many stores a bathroom. If your bathroom has a lack of storage or Kobe spice, you could have freestanding Kupets or shelves. If your bathroom is quite small, you can find very narrow shelving units. There will help you organize your bathroom products or, despite your ornaments. Finally, a part of the bathroom that isn't specifically a piece of furniture but which very often ends up. Getting forgotten about is the radiator. If you have a radiator on, despite, that doesn't quite fit into the theme of your room that there is a very easy fix for this. You can cover your radiator with many different types of covers. I'd recommend a simple wooden cover with a shelf top. This will not only hide your radiator but also give you another surface in your bathroom. Hopefully have no pizza, lots of tips on how to give your bathroom and lovely makeover. However, I understand that it might seem like a lot of things to think about on. Redecorating can often be quite overwhelming, so to help you longer little, I'm going to work through, for example, stalls to show you the sort of things that I would include in order to achieve that particular look. Let's start by looking how to decorate your bathroom to achieve a traditional feel. 6. Traditional bathroom Part 1: Now it's important to keep in mind that once you've chosen your style of bathroom, you should stick to it. Try not to put elements from different designs. Dolls in the same bathroom as this can make a room look mismatched. If you want to Professional design field to a room. Everything should link together no matter which stall you choose. There are three things to remember when you want to spruce up a room without completely renovating it. These are cooler accents and furniture. If you make sure that these three key things work together, then you will create a beautifully designed space. But what exactly do we mean by color Accents and furniture? Well, but cooler on referring to the paint or wallpaper on the walls, the color of toils on the color of your window. Decorations by accents are made ornaments and plants or even things like taps and plugs even tells Comey class There's an accident in the bathroom if they're on show. The 1st 2 things. A relatively inexpensive but the third point's furniture is always the most expensive part of decorating. For these third point will look at how we can work with what we already have, which in a bathroom will probably a bathtub, a toilet and a sink. The first bathroom stall will look at is a traditional bathroom. Remember cooler accents. Furniture in terms of color. If you want a traditional star bathroom, you should look at more neutral tones such as beige, ivory, tope and even some graves. Why? It is also obviously a traditional color. But be careful, because sometimes these neutral colors have undertones of yellows, blues and peaches. You want to avoid these on go for tones that are completely without color. We can incorporate thes neutral colors in the background of a traditional star bathroom on , then use more dramatic coolers with the accents. I suggest painting the walls with one of these neutral colors or choosing neutral toils. If you already have tiles on, they are not a neutral color. You can fix this without replacing them. There is a special pain you can buy specifically for painting toils. It isn't as cheap as ordinary pains, but one top could go a long way as it's relatively thin and is much cheaper than reselling the whole bathroom. So that's the walls and tiles, but you can also incorporate some blinds in the window. I don't recommend curtains in the bathroom has a tend to get a bit damp, but a dark wood and blind would look striking against the neutral backdrop. Or if you want a more light and airy feel to your traditional bathroom, Bright white blinds will also look great. 7. Traditional bathroom Part 2: no for accents in the bathroom. Accents can include things such as mirrors, towels, bath mats, containers for products, ornaments, plants and candles for the traditional bathroom. We don't want to go over the top with too many accents, but we do want to break up the neutrality of the background mirrors. I think it's always important to have a war mirror somewhere in a bathroom. It can make even the smallest bathroom still more open and airy mirrors in a traditional bathroom look nice with a frame in either metal or wood. If you have light walls, a dark framed mirror will look great, as it will provide a nice contrast in a similar way. If your water darker than a light frame, even a white one, will stand out nicely, I think is a perfect statement, Piece tells Towels are a great way to make a bathroom feel updated. You can buy set of bath towels quite cheaply, and it will enhance your bathroom immediately, no matter what star bathroom you choose, Tells are not only a functional necessity, but they are also usable ornament. In any bathroom, you should definitely have a hand towel hanging on either a towel or a towering in the traditional bathroom. A chrome towering feet soon very well and can be purchased cheaply. Tells can also be used to Philip. Any empty surface course shelves tells Rolled open presented in permitted always looked very classy. Similarly, a small stack of neatly folded towels can look justus good. But which cooler tells if your walls aren't white or if your furniture is dark, then it's nice to have a bright white towel as these provide a great contrast, however, in the traditional bathroom cream, brown or gray tells work really well, even if they have a simple strike will pattern running through them? Different shades of the same color tells can sometimes work or a mixture of call it. Android tells a good way to break the floor is to use a bath mat. Try to choose a bathmat that contrast your floor so it doesn't disappear. So if your floor is white or light in color, then choose a darker bathmat or if your floor is on the darker side of the scale, choose a white or light coloured bathmat, remembering to stick to the neutral colors for the traditional star bathroom containers. A simple way to bring the start of your bathroom together is with containers, things such as baskets or boxes, as well as soap expenses and even a toothbrush. Cope. Stop the bathroom from looking clustered. Rather than having shampoo bottles on bubble bath bottles all over the place. Target them away into a nice, neutral color basket. As for your soap dispenser, if you use liquid so brother in a bar, have a look out for a ceramic refillable dispenser. This will look much nicer than the plastic bottle that came in. You can even get a matching toothbrush. Cook Soapdish Toilet roll holder on toilet brush holder to bring everything together. No for accents. 8. Traditional bathroom Part 3: adornments in a traditional bathroom is nice to add one or two adornments, which can include ornaments, plants or candles. The larger the bathroom, the larger the adornments come bay. But even in a small bathroom, one or two things on the side can look nice. A large pillar candle placed on the corner of the bath can add a touch of opulence if you have space. A simple, cool advice would look nice on the side or even on a window sill. Another noise addition to a traditional bathroom is a plant be living or Fike in a traditional bathroom. Plants such as lilies, phones or trailing ivy would be in keeping with your design. This should be in a neutral or white pot to show off their phones to best effect. Adornments are inexpensive ways to transform any room you can get ornaments, vases or pillar candles from many home department stores. You'll be amazed at how cheap Please come bay. Obviously, there are some places where the price is going to shoot up ridiculously for the same sort of thing, but shop around and you're stumble across some great bargains. I don't recommend spending a lot of money on adornments. The more money you spend on something, they're less likely you'll want to changes in the future. If you ever update your bathroom again. No, For the third part, furniture furniture is the trickiest part of the room to change, especially in the bathroom, the bathtub, the shower, the toilet. On any story sprays can be expensive to change. Plus, there could be difficult to install if you're doing it yourself. However, there are a few ways you can work with whatever you have and just restore lit. A little one easy way to update the starling. The bathroom is just to update the toilet seat for the traditional bathroom. You could try incorporating a wooden seat to match any coverage. You have another way of modifying the style of your bathtub and sink. It should change the taps and plucks. These can be brought from any bathroom, store or even online, and it wouldn't cost too much to get someone to replace them for you. Or, if you're competent, a DEA Y. Then you could change them yourself. If you're Corbyn, your cabinets located place in your traditional bathroom than a cheap solution. Rather than replacing them is to paint or varnish them. Whether your cupboards are wooden or plastic coated, then there is always especially paint that would enable you to change the look of your carpets or cabinets. A dark grey will fit into most traditional bathrooms off your want. A lighter option than a cream color will go with anything. Changing your door handles is a really cheap and easy way to transform any cabinets you have. I suggest buying handles that are chrome or bright gold to enhance the look of your cabinets. Don't buy something too small that will not lost on your cabinets. Bigger handles will have a dramatic look even in a traditional bathroom. If your bathroom has a lack of storage or corporate spice, you cannot free Sunday cupboards or shelves. If your bathroom is quite small, you confined very narrow shelving units that will help you to organize your bathroom products or display your ornaments. Finally, if you have a radiator on display that doesn't fit into your traditional style theme, there is a very easy way to fix this. You can cover your radiator with many different types of covers. I would recommend a simple wooden cover with a shelf on the top. This will not only hide your radiator but also give you another surface in your bathroom. In a traditional bathroom, you can go with either a white collar or a color that matches your covenants. Don't forget, you can always paint it if needs bay, so that's how you can give your bathroom a traditional rock. Let me just quickly show you a few more pictures of other people's traditional bathrooms for used to get inspiration. And now we'll go through a few choice objects from shops in America and the UK such Aziz, Target Bed, Bath and Beyond Wal Mart. My sees the range Oh Ghose do now B and M bargains. I'm being cute. This will show you that you can buy good quality items that are affordable. 9. Transitional bathroom Part 1: transitional. The next bathroom stall we're going to look at is a transitional star whilst the deck or maybe different. The three pronged approach is still the same cooler accents furniture. So we'll start with the color, I said in earlier description of the different types of bathroom that a traditional bathroom is one that incorporates both old and modern design elements. It could be that you have a more modern star bathroom with a few select pieces that are more traditional. Or you might have a more traditional bathroom that contains some modern features. The general style of a transitional bathroom includes lots of clean lines, but it still incorporate a warm, homely feel. Sometimes people find fully contemporary bathrooms too cold or even to sleep to be practical. But a transitional bathroom can be a great halfway house between practical and contemporary . Generally speaking, you have a wider pallet of colors to choose from when decorating a transitional style. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that you should try to give you a bathroom and light and relaxed feel. This means it's a good idea to include lots of whites, grays and silvers and even by issues will work well. However, that's mainly for the walls, floors and furnishings. We cannot a few doses of cooler with our adornments, or even on our fixtures or fittings such as taps. Gold taps, for instance, can give a traditional twist to a modern bathroom, especially if you use a bold color on the walls. Such a striking blue blues consistent feel light and airy. If they uses a backdrop with lighter colors for the furniture, have a look at this example of a blue transitional bathroom with gold taps. A good way to buy the traditional feel to a modern bathroom could be through the choice of your flooring. If you have a larger space, it could look nice to use um, or intricately designed floor with the sleeker millimeters look of your playing walls. Plain tiles always work in a transitional bathroom. Those ceramics, porcelain and stone are always a wise choice. Just little T. If you stick to map floor tiles, you'll find they're much easier to keep clean than the glossy ones. The lightest wet streak can make glossy floor tiles look messy, and as transitional bathrooms are all about practicality, mix with style. I would say map tiles will make life a lot easier, especially if you have Children just like a mention with the traditional bathroom. If you have tiles on the walls that don't quite fit into the transitional theme and you don't fancy four can get a fortune to change them. I'll suggest painting them whilst he can look nice tohave pattern tiles on the floor in a traditional bathroom. If they're on the wall, they can look a little bit overbearing if it's a smaller bathroom, So pick one of the neutral colors for the wall tiles. There is a special pay you can buy specifically for painting calls. It isn't as cheap as ordinary pains, but one top goes a long way as it's relatively thin and is much cheaper than retiring the whole bathroom. As for the floor, if you have Tarzi really don't like and don't want to replace them. A perfectly fine alternative in the bathroom is to use line Oh, also known as vinyl or linoleum flooring. Or you could use a laminate flooring lai no or laminate Flooring can be a lot cheaper than toils, so it's a great, affordable way to update your bathroom floor. You can place liner or laminate flooring directly on top of your toils all you have to do with the line. Noah vinyl is cutting to the right size sprayer DC to it and stick it down. But if you're unsure how to do it correctly, then you can always get somebody so fitted for you, which wouldn't cost the earth. Nowadays, the quality of liner flooring has increased dramatically, and you can get it in a huge variety of styles and colors. It's also very hard wearing, and you can wipe it clean, so wins all round in terms of practicality. 10. Transitional bathroom Part 2: the next thing will be looking at are the accents. Blinds are an important addition in any bathroom. I don't recommend curses in the bathroom as they tend to get them. The good thing about the transitional bathroom is that most blinds would fit into this theme. If you have a more traditional feel to your bathroom, then incorporate a modern roller blind made a fabric in one simple, neutral color. You can stick to a plane blind or even use a simple pattern. Fabric. Roller blinds are relatively cheap and can instantly transform the window. You could also use these day and night blinds, which had a very modern twist. If, however, you have a more modern field to your bathroom is a hole Adam or traditional wooden slatted blind. A dark wouldn't blind would look very striking against the neutral backdrop or to enhance the Lloyd and very feel of your transitional bathroom. Bright white blinds would also look great now for some other accents. We've looked at blinds, but in the bathroom accents can also include things such as mirrors, towels, bath mats, containers for products, ornaments, plants and candles for the transitional bathroom. The accents can often be the go between that ling modern and traditional. We don't want to add too many ornaments and bits and bobs as this will start to look cluttered. But a few choice PC's can make a bathroom look more finished on Break up the neutrality of the background. If you have a large the contemporary bathroom, a few traditionally stalled accessories can give the classic transitional look. Mirrors are a great way of bringing more light into a bathroom, especially if it's quite a small room. Transitional bathrooms are all about blending comfort and warmth with the clean lines and understated colors. You don't want too much of either side of the spectrum coming through, so you need to reach a happy medium. For instance, if your walls and furniture have a very contemporary feel than at a traditional mirror with a beautiful, ornate frame. Similarly, if you have more traditionally style cupboards, you can balance them with a simple and sleek modern mirror adornments To make sure your transitional bathroom keeps his light and airy feel. You want to keep accents to a minimum, but don't banish them entirely if you have a contemporary backdrop, a nice, ornate vases were a plan taken from the traditional bathroom. Stall guide can work really well. If you have a light colored bathroom with lots of white, bring in a touch of color with a simple tropical plant. Just like with traditional bathrooms. Tiles were a great way to make your bathroom feel updated. Some folded or rolled of white towels can bring a modern touch to more traditional looking covers. In any bathroom, you should definitely have a hand towel hanging on either a towel row or towering. A silver metal will look more modern, whereas gold always as a traditional touch to any transitional bathroom. A good way to break up the floor is to use a bath mat. Try to choose a bathmat that contrast your floor so it doesn't disappear. So if your floors white or lighting, caller, then choose a darker bathmat or if your floors on the darker side of the scale choose a white or light coloured bath math, remembering to stick to the neutral colors for the transitional star bathroom. As you can see in this bathroom, a neutral bathmat works well to brighten up a bathroom with dark cupboards. This bathroom also has some traditional and contemporary containers tastefully mix together . This can sometimes be hard to achieve, but it's usually because too many of each type of used if you pick one or two traditional PC's on one or two modern pieces. They were allies together in the transitional bathroom, as long as there is still plenty of clean space, so it doesn't end up looking cluttered. If you have no surface area to put any ornaments, you can very cheaply put up a single shelf to place one or two chosen PC's. You could even put a few folded towels on it. Your shelf could be a simple sleep shelf that will bring a contemporary touch to a traditional bathroom. But you could also get a more traditional shelf to fit into a more modern star bathroom containers. You could have more modern so dispenses or containers on the sink, for example, on the traditional woven basket holding shampoo bottles on a shelf away from the sink. I always think one or two traditional paces in another boy's contemporary bathroom, bring your beautiful class to a bathroom and make it feel more like a home rather than a hotel without any adornments, these bathrooms would look very clinical and lifeless. Theodore mints give the bathroom a more personal touch, as well as a hint of color to help draw the organisers and areas. 11. Transitional bathroom Part 3: so we've looked at what colors to use on what accents to add. The left thing to look at for the transitional bathroom is furniture. Furniture is the trickiest part of a room to change, especially in the bathroom, the bathtub, the shower, the toilet and any story sprays can be expensive to change for us that could be difficult to install. If you're doing it yourself, However, there are a few ways you can work with whatever you have and just restyle it a little. One easy way to update the start of your bathroom is just all day. The toilet seat. If your toilets it looks a little dated or all fashioned, it's relatively inexpensive to replace it with a simple white seat. This will make the whole toilet look more modern and given immediate facelift to a transitional bathroom. Another way to modify the style of your bathtub and sink. It should change the taps and plugs. These could be brought from any bathroom's door or even online, and it wouldn't cost too much to get someone to replace him for you. Or, if you're competent, the deal. Why, then you could change them yourself for transitional bathroom. Your options are quite varied. Modern chrome taps or traditional gold taps will both fit well. If your corporate or cabinets look out of place in a transitional bathroom, then a cheap solution rather than replacing them is to paint them whether your cupboards, a wooden or plastic coated, then there is always a special paint that would enable you to change the look of your cupboards and cabinets. A dark gray or white will give a modern twist to a more traditional bathroom, whereas the dark brown or cream will do the opposite and give a more modern bathroom on more traditional look. Changing your Cabinet handles is a really cheap and easy way to transform any cabinets you have. If you're after a more modern look to an older star Cabinet, then I suggest buying handles that are chrome and more substantially size so that they stand out. Bright gold handles will look great on a more modern style cabinet and helped to give it a more traditional look. Even if you're fitting traditional handles, then larger handles will still work well and not be lost on your cabinets. If your bathroom has a lack of storage or corporate spice, you can add freestanding cupboards or shelves. If your bathroom is quite small, you confined very narrow shelving units that will help you to organize your bathroom products or display any ornaments you have. There are a waste, plenty of options in both modern and traditional styles. Finally, if you have a radiator on display that doesn't fit into your transitional theme, there is a very easy way to fix these. You can call your radiator with many different types of covers. Beat a more modern design or a traditional one. I would recommend a simple wooden cover with a shelf top. This will not only hide your radiator but also give you another surface in your bathroom. In a transitional bathroom, you can go with either a white color or color too much money via cabinets. Don't forget, you can always paint it if needs be, to make it more modern or traditional in style. So that's how you can give you a bathroom. A transitional look. Let me just quickly show you a few more pictures of other people's transitional bathrooms for you to get inspiration 12. Rustic bathroom Part 1: the next bathroom start we're going to look at is the rustic style. In recent years, the rustic style has had somewhat of a resurgence. And whilst the name rustic might not seem particularly beautiful, arrested bathrooms can actually be a very attractive design choice. Now, even though the deck or may be quite different to the traditional and transitional bathrooms, the three pronged approach is still the same cooler accents and furniture. So we'll start with cola. No, the word rustic really means something that is related to the countryside. We also brings connotations of being plain and simple. Install a rusty start bathroom will feature a lots of natural materials such as stone and wood, and they should be unfinished rather than overly varnished and painted. Heuristic Bathroom should create a relaxing atmosphere. Now your whole bathroom doesn't have to be completely rustic and end up looking like a bond so you could go is far along the rustic spectrum, as you like until you ever designed that you're happy with in terms of color, we will be using a lot of natural woods, stones and even metals, So if you stick to that sort of color palette, you won't go wrong. Cool is that include whites, beiges, browns, even like greens and car keys will work as a backdrop to the rustic bathroom. We don't want to include anything too bright or garish on the walls or floors as we want to calm and relaxing natural atmosphere. If you wanted to go all in with the rustic theme, you could even think about lining the walls or maybe just one feature wall within timber. This is quite easy to do, since it doesn't need to be perfect. You could leave them as natural wood timber panels or even whitewash them to give them a starting, less rustic fish. As for the floor, at the top end of the budget would be stone tolls. But nowadays, vinyl flooring comes in such variety of stars on looks very effective. You could use vinyl or laminate flooring to cover bureau floor. If it doesn't match the heuristic style, you should opt for a stone or would affect Florin, though, as I said with the last bathroom stars, No, I know or laminate. Flooring is a lot cheaper than tiles, so it's a great, affordable way to update a bathroom floor you can place line or laminate flooring directly on top of your toils if you are fit in line. Oh, then you'll need to make sure you fill the grooves between the toils as they would eventually show through. All you have to do with line over vinyl is quoted to the size of your bathroom. Spray DC to it and stick it down in a rustic bathroom. We want to avoid pattern floors so simple and plain is best tiles on a wall of generally not in keeping with a rustic theme, but they can work if done correctly. Annoys natural stone. Tall can work very well, but if you already have tars and simply want to make them fitting, you can paint them with the neutral tone. There is a special paint you combine specifically for painting tiles. The distances cheaper is ordinary pains, but it is relatively thin. On one tub will go a long way. It's also much cheaper than retail in the whole bathroom accents. The next thing will be looking at are the accents in a rustic style bathroom. You could get away with that, having any window dressings at all, but privacy is an important factor to consider when decorating your bathroom, so you may find you need something to cover the windows. I don't recommend curtains in the bathroom generally, but in a rustic bathroom, a lightweight, simple white curtain can look very nice or even a curtain made of Hessian instead of a Kirton. You could also cover your window with a blind Hess and roller line is a very dramatic and fitting addition to a rusty bathroom or a white roller. Blind will go nicely with any receipt bathroom as long as it is plain and simple and doesn't have a pattern I wouldn't slatted blind is another option on would be in keeping with the rustic thing. Now for some other accents, we've looked at blinds, but in the bathroom, accents can also include things. Adjust mirrors, tells bath mats, containers for products, ornaments, plants and candles for the rustic bathroom. Accents are very important as they break up the neutral tones. I wouldn't finishings what we don't want. Our too many ornaments and bits and bobs. The things that we do at could be used to add a little color without the accents. Heuristic bathroom can build all overwhelming on. Look to and finished. We'll start with mirrors. Mirrors are a great way to bring more light into a bathroom, and since receipt bathrooms tend to be quite dark, this is very important. Wouldn't frame here is obviously worked best university bathroom, but the style is completely up to you. Both traditionally start on. Contemporary mirrors will look good in a rusty bathroom as long as the frame is in neutral color and made of natural materials such as wood. You can also get some stone effect mirror frames or even a rusted metal frame. If you want to. Slightly more modern looking roasted bathroom. You could even go for a frameless mirror. The shape of the mirror is also up to you. A rectangular mirror will go well with straight lines of the wood in a rustic bathroom. But sometimes it's nice to have a contrasting piece, so everything else in the bathroom is made up of straight lines. May be tried going for a round mirror to other standout feature piece to the bathroom. If you have gone for timber client feature war, then it might be a little overwhelming. Tried a wooden framed mirror to this wall, so either user frameless mirror or a framed mirror in a different material on a timber clad war, or use a wooden framed mirror on one of the other walls. 13. Rustic bathroom Part 2: adornments, adornments of things such as vases, flowers, Soapdish. She's etcetera, and they are really the finishing touches to your bathroom. With that door, Mintz, a rustic bathroom, would see well, too rustic on, not very inviting. Having said that, we don't want to have too many a dormant because the general deck or for rustic bathroom is quite powerful. Too many adornments would make it feel cluttered and closer. Make the room appear smaller than it is. One of the easiest ways, with a little cooler, introverted bathroom, is with plants with a backdrop of browns, grays and whites. A green plant will stand out very nicely while still keeping with the natural feel of the room. You don't want anything too delicate you want to plant that can hold its own and not get lost amongst all the wood. Things like all kids, might not fit into a rustic bathroom theme, but ferns and ivy's would look very nice. Anything with thick, chunky green foliage will also work really well as well as plans. You could also introduce cook flowers in a simple vase. Any color flowers would work well on because could flowers a temporary You can update your bathroom every couple of weeks with a different color. Or if you'd prefer not to spend too much money on fresh flowers, you could go with fight flowers, which narrowed. Eyes can look very realistic. You could also be more imaginative and create something similar to the peace in this bathroom. They have taken a simple plus container and filled it with moss and succulence anyway. To bring the outside in will always work well in a rustic bathroom. Another important bathroom adornment is towels. White tells work in any start bathroom, and they were especially well in a rusty bathroom, having a somewhat clean element toe. A more roasting natural backdrop, some folded or rolled up white towels can bring a nice touch to your wooden finishings. On the other hand, brand towels can also fit nicely If you want the whole bathroom to maintain and much more mellow and calming atmosphere in any bathroom, you should definitely have a hand tell hanging on other hotel royal or a towering, while silver metal tower rings and arouse who look fine. You could also opt for a chunky black rail as they won't be too overpowering in a rusty bathroom. Alternatively, you could be more unique and use something such as a wooden frame or even an old ladder to hang your towels from, with all that would everywhere a good way to break it up a little on the floor released is with a bath mat. I would suggest sticking to more natural colors, but whether you choose a plane bathmat or one with patterns is completely up to you. The any bit of advice on this there were a lot for you is that if you have a smaller bathroom, then try going for a lighter colored bath. Math as you were bright in the room up a bit more, giving the rumor more spacious feeling shelves and containers being neat and tidy with everything in its own place isn't really what a rusty bathroom is all about. A lot of time. Versteeg bathrooms have things that on display, and that all adds to the charm. What you can do, though, is at extra shelves or containers, so that out on display doesn't turn into a cluttered mess in a rustic bathroom. One thing that fits him well. His containers made from wood, wicker or rattan you can place towels or even toilet rolls in a basket on the floor of your bathroom just to keep things tidy or on the side, you can play smaller baskets. Now. I'm not saying you should absolutely fill your bathroom with wicker baskets everywhere. Just one big one on one or two smaller ones would be enough. But the good thing with a rusty bathroom is that you get a blank canvas of natural colors in the walls and furnishings, and then you can use accents, has a way of adding splashes of color here and there with the greens, yellows and even reds and oranges. If you have nice shampoo bottles or soap, then you can display them without hiding them away. To make them appear less chaotic and more organized, you can place them on a plate, like in this bathroom with the roasted bathroom. As I mentioned, colorful adornments and accents look noise. If you have no service spice to put your adornments, you can very cheaply put up a single shelf to place one or two chosen pieces on. You could even both for the towels on it. Your shelf can be a simple wooden shelf that you feed to the wall or a wooden freestanding unit is a nice way of adding more services and storage into your bathroom. 14. Rustic bathroom Part 3: So we've looked at what colors to use on what accents to add to our rustic bathroom. The last thing to look out for the roasted bathroom is furniture. Furniture is the trickiest part of a room to change, especially in the bathroom, the bathtub, the shower, the toilet on any story space could be expensive to change. Plus, there can be difficult to install if you're doing it yourself. However, there are a few ways you can work with whatever you have and just restyle it a little. One easy way to update the stone in your bathroom is to just update the toilet seat. I wouldn't tortoise. He will fit into any rustic bathroom, although you should try and go for with the matches the rest of any wooden furniture in your room. Toilet seats are generally inexpensive to replace. It will give the whole bathroom and uplift. If you want to make a modern bathtub look more rustic. A simple ways to add a bath panel to the sides. You can add wooden or would affect bath panels to the sides of modern bath. Talk to help it fit in with the whole rustic theme of your bathroom. In actual fact, I think a clean white bathrooms, very nice, surrounded by wooden bath panels. Bath panels can vary in price, so shop around to find yourself a good deal or even create your own using timber planks in a rustic bathroom. Generally, Corporates and sinks are all free standing rather than on a pedestal. This is handy if you started from scratch, as it means you can simply by a freestanding bathroom cabinet. But if you already have a 50 bathroom cabinet that you don't want to replace, then this becomes a slightly bigger job, but not impossible. Freestanding cabinets can come with inbuilt sinks, or you can get countertop bison's. These both were well in a rustic bathroom. The cabinet themselves would be best in a rusted would affect if you're sticking with the copans or cabinets that you already have, but they look a little too modern for a receipt bathroom. Then the cheap solution, rather than replacing them, is to paint them whether your cupboards, a wooden or plastic coated, Then there is always a special paint. It will enable you to change the whole look of your cupboards and cabinets for a rustic bathroom. A distress look in most colors will work well. Another inexpensive but slightly tricky. A solution to making your cabinets look more rustic is to use vinyl self adhesive. The self adhesive comes in rolls, and you can use it to cover the doors and size of your cabinets. You can find pretty much any design, so roasted wood grain effect will look nice on your carpets. Changing your door handles is a really cheap and easy white transform. Any cameras you have black or a worn dark grey handle would work well in making your cabinets look more rustic. Any size handle will be fine, but chunky handles will give a more dramatic look and bring the whole thing together. If your bathroom has a lack of stories, your Corbett space, you could add extra shelves or a freestanding cupboard. If your bathroom is quite small, you confined very narrow shelving units that will help you to organize your bathroom products or just by your ornaments. There are always plenty of options. Finally, if you have a radiator on display that doesn't fit into the rustic theme, there is a very easy way to fix these. You can cover your radiator with many different types of covers. I would recommend a simple wooden cover with shelf top. This will not only hide your radiator but also give you another surface in your bathroom. In a rustic bathroom, you can go with the cooler or would to match your cabinets. If you can't find one that looks rustic enough, then you can paint or varnish it yourself to time with everything else. So that's how you can give your bathroom arrested. Look, let me just quickly show you a few more pictures of other people's rustic bathrooms for you to take inspiration from. 15. Scandinavian bathroom Part 1: the next bathroom stall we're going to be looking at is the Scandinavian style. For many years now, the Scandinavians doll has been gaining popularity. Both sort of Scandinavia. The Scandinavian movement has found its way into every room of the house and non more so than in the bathroom. The main attraction to this style is the sleek, minimalistic design, with lots of clean lines. Smooth edges on the simple book functional loud. Once again, let's look at the three pronged approach so we can apply this beautiful style to our own bathrooms. Cooler accents, furniture. So start with color. The popular colors for Scandinavian star bathrooms are white, dry cream, beige and occasionally pale blue and green. These popular coolers create a very common muted feeling. The bathroom. A popular design feature, though, is to have a small splash of color, which you can achieve through the accessories you choose. But we'll talk about that a bit later. In addition to the light calm colors, you should also keep in mind that a Scandinavian bathroom also draws upon natural themes. The reason for the light and airy feel of a Scandinavian bathroom is that Scandinavian countries enjoy much less sunlight throughout the year than the rest of Europe, so they tend to dominate their interiors with subdued and like colors. When it comes to Scandinavian design, what is definitely the problem recorder, But because a totally white room can look cold and clinical, you can couple it with more gentle tone colors. What also goes extremely well with light wood details such as oak tones, cabinets or furniture towards some essential warm through the room like colors. Also a great way to make a small bathroom look bigger, brighter and seemingly more spacious to incorporate more natural materials in the bathroom toe the white background you should be thinking about wood and stone. The natural features really helped to highlight the minimalistic aesthetics and give a homely feel to the room. So when you're thinking about what sort of floors to include in a Scandinavian bathroom, natural stone and wooden floors will be the obvious choice. Now you might be thinking that a natural stone floor would cost us more fortune. But nowadays there are alternative choices. Final four incomes in such a variety of stars and looks very effective. You can use vinyl floor or laminate flooring to cover up your old floor. If it doesn't match the Scandinavian style, you should opt for stone or wood effect flooring, as it said in the last bathroom stores. If you're on a budget nine or laminate flooring is a lot cheaper than tiles, so it's a great, affordable way to update your bathroom floor. You can place line or laminate flooring directly on top of the toils. If you do off to fit, lie no. Then you'll need to make sure that you fill the grooves between your old toils, as eventually they will start to show through. If you don't feel them all, you have to do with line over. Vinyl flooring is quoted to size of the bathroom. Spray DC to it and stick it down. It's a symbol is that in the Scandinavian bus room, we want to avoid pattern floors, so simple, implying his best. More specifically, you want to choose flooring with the light colors, so pale stone or light woods or ideal. The walls, as we've already discussed, will be white or pile past ALS. Painted walls are absolutely fine, but you could also consider titles in a larger bathroom very subtly patterned Whitehall's can look very beautiful. Patent trolls with a mix of colors weren't fitting very well in the Scandinavian bathroom. But if you already have some tiles to just 1 15 don't panic. There is a special pain you can boy specifically for painting toils. You can easily paint over the pass entitles with a roid or pastel paint. It isn't this cheap is ordinary paint, but one top goes a very long way has its relatively thin, so it's much cheaper than retail in the whole bathroom accents. The next thing will be looking at are the accents in the Scandinavian Star bathroom. You could get away without having any window dressings at all. But privacy is an important factor to consider were in decorating your bathroom, so you may find you need something to cover the windows. I don't recommend curtains in the bathroom generally, but in the Scandinavian bathroom, a lightweight, simple white roller blind can look really nice. If you want to use the window blind as a way of adding a splash of color, you could try and find a pastor pile blue or green blind Memphis and other accidents. We briefly looked at Boeing's. But in the bathroom, accents can also include things such as mirrors, towels, bath mats, containers for products, ornaments, plants and candles. So the Scandinavian bathroom accents are very important as that break up the Reuter neutral tones. Well, we don't want to have too many ornaments and bits and bobs. The things that we do add can be used to add a little color. As I said before, without the accents or special of color, a Scandinavian bathroom can look a little too clinical and cold. We'll start with mirrors. Mirrors are a great way of bringing even more light into the bathroom, especially if you don't have much natural light coming in with Scandinavian bathrooms. The lighter embroider, the better. So mirrors are a must at in natural woods to a bathroom is a big part of the Scandinavian design movement, so why not consider a Woodham bathroom mirror? A light wooden frowns mirror would look nice on a white wall, and it will instantly had a bit of warmth and natural color into a smaller bathroom without being is overpowering is a piece of furniture. Another common style of Mary, used in many Scandinavian bathrooms, are those with a thin black frame. The shape of the mirror is completely up to you. A rectangular mirror will go well with the straight lines of the wood in the Scandinavian bathroom, but sometimes it's nice to see the contrast in peace. So if everything else in the bathroom is made up of straight lines, maybe tried going for a large round mirror, tried to stand their feature piece to the bathroom. If you don't want to make too much of a feature each of your mirror and don't want to stand there to make an impact, you can go for a more simple frameless mirror. 16. Scandinavian bathroom Part 2: adornments, adornments of things such as vases, flowers and so dishes etcetera. And they are really the finishing touches to the bathroom. With that, Dorman's, a Scandinavian bathroom would seem to minimalistic and not very inviting. Having said that, we don't want to have too many a dormant, which would make it seem cluttered and could also make the room appear smaller than movies . One of the easiest ways to add a little color into a Scandinavian bathroom is with plants with the backdrop of whites, and pastel colors are green. Plan will look fresh and stand out nicely while still in keeping with a calm feel of the room. You can't really go wrong with a plant in the Scandinavian bathroom cream, which any plan will look noise. I wouldn't have too many plants, though one or two in a small bathroom on maybe three in a larger bathroom. But the boys will start looking like a greenhouse, a small white part with afeard or some I ve or even orchid. We don't know at the top of wooden can't stop or in a larger bathroom, a tall plant in a large pot on the floor. Alternatively, if you have a lot of white. You could have a contrast in colored part as well as plants. You could also introduce cut flowers into a simple vase. Any cauliflower will work well on because caught flat with a temporary. You can update your bathroom every couple of weeks with a different color. Or if you prefer not to spend too much money on fresh flowers, you could go with fake flowers, which nowadays can look really realistic. In the Scandinavian bathroom, a simple natural colored vase will do. Natural stone vices or simple white ones will look nice because of the simplistic color scheme of a Scandinavian bathroom. They tend to look quite modern, so modern vases would fit him better than old fashioned ones. I also think this simple vices containing nothing but a couple of sprigs of foliage look very effective. You can get pretty realistic. Frank phone is without spending a fortune nowadays, but very. Do you mean a large palm leaf or banana leaf? Or you might have noticed the growing trend of having either a single or multiple giant monster relief in a vase. All of these would have nice. In a light and airy Scandinavian bathroom or a less dramatic touch could be some green reads or tall grass in a white vase tells the simplicity of the Scandinavian style means that you can go one or two ways with the towels that you choose to adorn your bathroom. If you could use the same simplistic conclude to stall, or you could make a bold featurette of the tells. If you stick to the simplistic star, then you should go for white or very light gray or bash towels. Anything that matches either the white walls or the natural looks to the rest of the room would fit him really nicely. Some followed little rolled up. White House can bring a nice touch to your furnishings if you want. Simple, but not just white tells you could go for some stroke towels. White and gray X stripes aren't two footy and fit in with the calm, relaxed theme of the Scandinavian style. In any bathroom, you should definitely have a hand towel hanging on either a towel rile or a towel ring in a Scandinavian bathroom. Modern chrome or gold riles and towering zlook noise and stand out without being garish breath months. Well the plan is simple coloring everywhere. A good way to break it up a little on the floor at least, is with a bath mat in the Scandinavian bathroom. There are plenty of different options for bath mats. You could match the serenity of the rest of the room by adding a beige or cream bathmat, something that looks on foresee and more natural. I always think that in the Scandinavian bathroom, a black and white thick strike bathmat looks noise. You could even think about using a would affect bathmat, something that maybe matches the wood of the furniture, shells and containers. Being neat and tidy with everything in its own space is the heart of a Scandinavian design . Lots of clean lines and clear surfaces. I won't give the starlet serenity to keep everything looking clean and sleek. You should offer simple style shelves, either in a light colored wood or white, trying to fill the shelves with lots of things, keep them minimal and use Dwight's and like cooler containers in a simple modern design toe hideaway. Anything that could make your space feel cluttered, even the bathroom set, continuing with a theme. Modern simple soap dispensers, toothbrush holders and shampoo bottles keep a Scandinavian store running through the whole bathroom without any descriptions 17. Scandinavian bathroom Part 3: furniture. You've probably guessed by now the importance of light colors and Uncluttered nous in the Scandinavian bathroom. And the same goes for the furniture, too. You want to go with mainly white Fincher, but a light colored would would look nice to the lighter colors. Help to maintain the sleek, Uncluttered design and ensure that lots of clean lines are maintained. If you don't really want to buy new Cabinet, then a great way to update what you already have is to simply paint them with gloss white paint. A clean, white, simple bath panel would also give your bathroom and immediate lift. If you have a pedestal sink, it might not fit in with the Scandinavian simplicity, which doesn't like too much to be on show. So you can cover up the bottom half of this thing with a Cabinet in a sleek white design, which then gives you plenty of extra storage space to hide away any clutter. Changing the door handles on your cabinets can make a huge difference to bathroom. Hidden door handles work best in a Scandinavian bathroom, but if you already have handles and just want to change them, then smaller, discrete ones will work best if there to Gary. They will take away from the clean lines we want to achieve. If you don't have a lot of story spice, you can incorporate freestanding shelf units as long as his white or in a very light would it'll work great in a Scandinavian bathroom. I don't feel it too much, though. Scandinavian designs prefer minimalism to clutter nous, because there were on display choose items that will fit in with the whole design. In a similar vie, you might want to hide your idea later. Another basic radiators we have just don't fit in with the clean lines of a Scandinavian bathroom. A simple solution to this is a white radiate a corner. This also gives an extra shelf that you can put your carefully selected bathroom containers on. So that was just four different styles of bathroom. But obviously the list is endless. I hope you've enjoyed these lessons, and you have taken away from useful tips that you can employ when you decorate your own bathroom. I'd love to see some before and after pictures, so please feel free to share them with me on with the other students
