About This Class

Please sign up at for emotional intelligence news and resources.

Coaching is different to telling someone what to do.  It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.

Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance.  Coaching draws out rather than puts in.  It develops rather than imposes.  It reflects rather than directs.  Coaching is interactive, flexible and enabling, not prescriptive or instructional.

This class covers what it means to be an effective coach in business.  It looks at the skills and capabilities needed to help someone to improve their performance with resorting to telling them what to do and how to do it.

Within the class a fundamental coaching model is explored that is used by coaches within business with hints and tips on how to use this process in an effective manner.

Coaching for business performance may require a fundamental transformation of management style and culture.  The inability of so many leaders and their business to move beyond the intent to the practice of culture change remains a major block.
