1. Introduction : Hi, guys. Welcome to when users skill shake laws. I'm Joe Gupta and am a watercolor artists in this class. We are going to learn how to paint leaves in loser style, so to paint leaves and lose a style. First of all, we are going to do, drawing off these leaves with a pen off it pencil. We're just going going to draw the structures shape off, believe how a particular leave is made. It could be a circular sheep leave a teardrop or inverted year drop wearies, different types, off shapes, sizes that we can imagine or that we can observe in nature in our own garden. This is what we're going to study first goes to paying to leave. We need to know the shape, the size off it, how it looks. Actually, then we're going toe actually paying these leaves, and I'm going to use different types of brushes, and I would recommend you to do the same by applying pressure on the brush. We're going toe, have different shapes. Different guy himself leaves but budges, changing the moment off brushes by applying different pressures on the brush, and this is what we're going to paint This is one of the things that have been did that we did all the leaves that I have made here in a charge at being them, and I have just laid them one on one. It's a pleasing taking because of blazing. It looks pretty now. This is a more practical example off painting flowers and I have used one off the leaves from this chart doping these flowers and leaves, so any off the way would work to make a project off these leaves. You can make a charge. You should make a chart, and you can make abstract or random V's off painting leaves now, like this is a book. A. This is a bookie off leaves, so anything would work. But the main thing is, we need toe. Make a child of these leaves and more if you again. And even if you have ah garden, you can observe the leaves and you can paint them. You can draw. Then we will do the line, drawing off it. First of all, then we are going to make this chart off leaves by using different brushes off even of even One rush would also work. But we're just going to work on different the strokes by having minimal strokes. How we can make a leaf, that is it. And then you can paint anything. You can pay the flood and using these leaves, you can use these leaves so you can make a bouquet off leaves. It's all up to you, all right? 2. Material Required: for making loose leaves. We will require watercolor paper. I have used 100% quarter on watercolor people for this purpose. And you can use a loose paper as well because we're just doing illustration. So anything would book either said loose people off particular people. Now, this is a drawing paper. A normal copy. People. Normal copy would also work. And I have done, as you can see lying going on these drawing paper. So you will require pence. I've used sensation technical drawings, pan off topic line of Ben. Any of the Ben would work. Even a bullpen would also work plan surgeries that everything would work. And these are different types of brushes. Thereto have you just have to use one or two brushes or even five brushes? As you wish. This is all your choice. And of course, you will require being 3. Observation Is The Key: so painting losers say leaves for any watercolor painting which has flowers. It is an important part and it has to be done properly. So how were able to come off the different kinds of shapes? It's very easy And symptoms Observation. Just observe the leaves. The sister leave off s the plant. It has beautiful publish color flowers. So as you can see, I'm observing. I'm observing elevator plant Christmas tree. This is being crane really planned. This is more grab plant leave. So basically I go outside and I noticed the leaves. This is jade leave. I have to wear ideas. This is a small over and this one is a little larger and broader. So all I'm saying is you Goto observe the nature the leaves that you have in your garden Because by observation Aly, you will understand the shapes that they have the Reedus gains of designs and the best fighters. You can observe and analyse how all the leaves off Different plants are so different from each other somewhere there similar somewhere they're not somewhere their pointy outward somewhere they're not. So this is kind of America. Someone a long You didn't leave some are short leaves, some of the borders of our narrower. So it's just how the nature is around us and it all it takes tow paint. Beautiful leaves is observation. So just observed them. Notice their shapes, notice there everything. 4. Drawing Leaves: now that we have observed the leaves in the garden or in nature or on live in Google images , we are ready to draw the leaves, the ships that we have seen. So we're going to pick up a advance and we're going to start drawing leaves. You can even start the pencil to if you have issues. So the first leave that you are drawing with me is nothing but a leaf made off to a point to Point D. Bard's And there are girls decided. So we're going toe drawl Thief. Which of Point Dune board sites that part. Getting this time should be pointy, and so it's tough. Was it part off it? And now you can make it broader or narrower. It's all up to you. The second defense of family is shape that you must have observed. It's a teardrop. The difference is, is nothing. The part touching the stem is going to become good V. This is the curve, and the upper part is going to be pointy. So does it not look like a water drop rate or two year drop? That is it such a simple she. So we're going to does the stem and weak the leave career that part and oppose it, too. It is going to appointee Simple listed the differences. It's good re at the Dutch off the stand. No, this one. The 3rd 1 that I'm going to draw is nothing but an inverted teardrop. It's an inverted tria drove, meaning. The pointy part is going to touch the stem, and the curve is going to come oppose it to it. You'll see. That's that's what it is. It's fun, and it's amazing to draw these leafs. So this is a simple as that I work is to make the drawing off leaves simple. No, As you can see the system for drawing off leave, I'm noticing a curve, a circular shape off leave. But at the joint off the stem, it's little bit pointy. Very little pointy. So, basically, now I'm going to draw a circle Oshie, as you have seen in the video in the previous video of my garden I shared with you Jade plant, the smaller where ideal J man head. So close shave, please. So he is. This is the example offer it that you can make it a smaller, smaller in size, you can make it narrower broader. It's all up to you. No, this is something that I call narrower longer. And you know, little Ziggy Zeki leaves. I can make a ziggy's I keep out of the leaf and the second aim is going to trace it part like that. So it's basically Ziggy. Ziggy leaves like this makes exact lines and just try to follow that. But by drawing 2nd 9 second nine off leave. Okay, here comes another. Leave If you look closer, it's basically inverted teardrops touching this stem. That is it. You can make more leaves if you want and you can not. The one just making were due to leave then instead off making appointee part touching the stamp. The baby parts of this leave is going to to be open and they would rather touch the stem. This one was inverted went But the adornments are not going to be working. Okay, simple. So you can draw baby leaves as much as you want as much as you like. There's really sure with that. Just say this next one that I'm drawing is I just want does rumor then so that you can observe. Just know there's a different between this and the left. Leave. This one is pointy. It's just similar to the previous one that we have drawn, but it's actually for Indy instead of having a girl, it is pointy outside, so we're going to draw now. Pointy leaves as usual, the small baby leaves. You can make more. You can make place. It's all of you. So this is how you make pointy leaves and they're together, All right, this one is a shave that I feel is quite It's a little broader. I've made a little bit broader, but you can make a smaller It's again, up to you that doesn't make much difference. What we're going to do is we're going to paint to leave a single leave this kind of life you must have noticed in your paintings. It's like a very impressionistic leave. So what I do I meet these kind off little bit curry lines. Then I gave it a point at the end offer and joined it during the other part of the leaf, and it was very simple. Not this one. As you see, this holds the shape off capsule capsule. The medicines that, you know, it just looks like it's so basically both its narrow and it is good. One boat parts, the one that is touching the stamp and just oppose it, offered both. The points are going to be Garvey here. There is no pointy kind off leave here. There's no need for it. Just think off the shape off a capsule and just draw both sides and Gove. Now we have done part one. This was part one off the leaves, you can say like that, and now we're going to do the second part off. Now this one is a little similar to what they have done. A bunch of leaves like born pointy and the tuber curvy. The only difference in this, I would suggest, is it's kind off quite red, like it's a mix off. The curvy believes that you are able to see here on the pointy knees. It's basically a make sure off both of these leaves, and I have done it very randomly, like a little bit off, curvy at the, um at the point of closer to the stem like you can see now the Cisco V. But now I'm also again going to make it a little bit curvy. Then I will make it. You know, little random. You don't have to be perfect here. Just make them a little ticker. It in a This was 20. It's also point to you again, Ed going to do it so we can make make. Make sure of both. Easley believes pointy and goat okay has simple is that it's a little narrower as you compared to the ones. If you compare it to others, it's a little bit network, and this one is quite a lang. Elongated, you know, very longer did on. That was my purpose for that one. But this one, I wanted to be a little bit broader and less along. None comes different kind of leave, which is like a Ziggy's, they believe, and that is it. It's a teardrop shape, but instead of making a smooth line, I mean, does he Now this one is a leaf, which you can see. It's like pointy or not going to do. It's up to you, but the aim of drawing the sleeve is too put it in our mind that we're going to leave a blank space inside the leaf. This is just for that. It can return for any kind of shape of free. But just it is done so that we remember we have toe put a blanket space. Now comes the sleeve. It is similar to inverter teardrop, but I'm not putting extra stems. I'm just touching it for director. Stem off the leaf. You can see that. So I'm just touching the meanest em. And I'm not drawing a smaller stems. That is that you can do this kind of variation. As now, this one is a little different to have to pay attention here. First of all, you're going to draw the meanest M than side of stems. Then you are going to make trying girl at the bottom parts off the leaf. Okay, suggest I'm going to show you. I'm just showing you I made a triangle shape. Then I just joined it. I'm with another triangle at the top artists. So our aim is to make a triangle kind of shape off leave. See? Have a look. And you can just give a little bit twist and turns at the other half part of the leaf. But you have to make it triangular at the bottom as I'm making now, you can give it a twist. Zintan See, a triangle is there in it. So make a triangle, then give President turn toe the other half off the leaf. Simple. See, it looks pretty and it gives a new look to our drawing, and it's definitely going to given you looked through a painting. This is my favorite one because it's the easiest fun. You just have to draw ah heart and divided it in to house. Can you see this? So simple. So this is another sheep of believe that you can imagine you can even instead off joining the leaf, you can make it a simple hardship. Leave so there many things to it. I have joined the hard part. But if you don't want, you can just make a direct heart off the leaf. Okay, you don't have to divide it now. This is kind off a amaryllis lily leaf, and you can even think off, bring green leaves. This is a bit thicker, and you can make it a little bit generous. Will. It's not necessary to make it take good. You can make it longer because They're different kinds of varieties off lilies and their leaves. So this was the drawing part off it. I hope you had fun. You can take a screen short off it, because this is what you're going to draw with me. And you can draw your choices as well, okay. 5. The Magic Of Brush!: Now that we have completed the line drawing off leaves, it is a time to paint them now. As you can see, I've painted the leaves on a small size of paper and I've painted all of them on this. A small people, auntie. So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to paint them in part one and part toe on the small size of paper so that you can see you are able to understand and visualize how I'm able to paint a leaf. You can see various Russia strokes properly. All rates of what you can do. You can take to small size of papers and paint like I am doing like in part one and part two. Or you can take a large spay per last slice paper, and you can paint on it as well. Okay, so you will have your palate ready and you will have your brush ready for this part. But before going further, I just want you to explore the potential off the brush that we have. I'm able to paint. I'm able to get taken tennis straws lying stick lines by just applying pressure on the brush. So we're going toe, make a make sure off water and paint on a palette, a generous amount so that we don't get short off it. And now I'm going to place my brush straight to the paper, as you can see, See how the street I'm giving it and I'm just going to touch the tip of the brush with people. And then I'm going to apply very little pressure, and you will be able to see this till line. It's a very thin line I was rooming in so that you can see it more properly. This is a very thin line again. Keep the brushes street to the people and apply pressure. Very little pressure and the tip of the brush is going to do your work. So see how I'm able to make them lights. Now I'm going to change the angle of the national from the street to little slanted. So now if I'm going to apply pressure, I will have take line. And if I'm going to apply, like you know little with more pressure that I'm going to have, like, see how I'm applying pressure on the brush and I'm able to get a very thick lying, so you have to see the potential off your brush. How taking the lines that can make. Then you're going to make these various shapes off leaves by simultaneously applying pressure on the brush as well Is moving your own wrist when you're going to move your wrist , move your hands. Their is a hand movement. You can see there's a coordination off, applying pressure on the brush and my own hand movements. So you have to do both of the things together so it requires practice. So you are going to do this, see how I'm doing. I'm applying pressure and I'm moving my hand. I'm moving my wrist so both of this exercise simultaneously is going to help your Lord in making very fine and proper and beautiful leaves. Battles, flowers. This is the basic off painting leaves, and since you're painting loose leaves, we are dream is going to have going to be a using minimal strokes very less amount off the strokes, and that would be it that would make a leave. So as loose painting as it say's, you're going to use minimalist rocks, less amount of the strokes and I work should be done off painting a leaf. So this was important. Listen, this is what you have to practice for yourself. Do it. You can do this, all right? 6. Painting Leaves Part I: it is time to paint the leaves. Now you can see these two leaves. The first leaf has two points and to curve lines, whereas the sleeve has only one point and Vonk of part. So let us begin painting these leaves. We're going to paint enough. Make sure off pigment and water so that the brush stroke is a smooth and no patches are formed. So now I'm going to keep my brush street to the paper to make this stem off the leaf. This way, I'll make sure the stammers Tyno. No, I'm going to apply pressure on the brush. And I'm going to make the leaf in two halfs into parts. So this is part one. Let me zoom. Written so that you can clearly see the brushstrokes that I'm doing. So now you can see this half part of the leaf. Let me just a camera. All right, so this is 1/2 part the other half. I'm going to paint like this, and I will make sure that both the points part appointee, you know, they should be pointy. Um, already making these side of stems so that I know where I will be printing leaves. You can do that as well. Again. Apply pressure on the brush and make one Have then make second half and you could even extend the leaf. If you have a small size brush like I did, you can add on more strokes and just make sure that both the coins put the opposing points . I pointy. Okay, there's no girl. Pardon that. See, when a stroke and I make short pointy and again I'm going to make some changes so that it looks like what I want. So apply pressure on your brush and that does it try toe over left the first a stroke. First half of the leave with the second half of the leave and there you have it. Now I will show you again with another color. Make one part and second half of the leave by overlapping the first part. Simple. Now we're going to paint another leave, which hasn pointy part and oppose it too. It is a curve part. So let us begin, apply pressure and do like this. I realized my paint is more and water is less. I did more water into it, and now you can see how my brush Stroke is a smooth, so it's a common problem. You need to see that. And now you can see this is pointy. The Cisco with that is the only difference between both of these leaves. If you notice carefully, make stem side of stems where you want to place your leaves. Okay, Now you can see. Let me. Okay. So again, apply pressure electors and move your brush. Move your hand. There is, ah, coordination off your hand movement and applying pressure on the brush. See how I'm playing pressure and I'm just making sure that the end part is pointy. See how beautiful the sleeve looks? So just make apply pressure and move your brush like this. So all you need to do to make these kind of shape of leaves is you have tow practice. You have to practice the movement that I'm doing with my brush. How I'm doing. You need to know to see how I'm doing. It's a teardrop. She basically it's a teardrop shape. So you need to analyze how I did it. Watch it again and again so that you get the idea. Howard Distin. No, this one is an inverted version off the second word. And this is a circle, Evan. And this is what I call, you know, elongated leaves. So let's festival think about the inverted version off the deer drop. I'm going to make the stem of belief. Menaced em. And as usual, we want enough paint and enough water, and we're going to play in the side of stems. I'm going to extend it more. Okay. Um all right. I think you can see it. No. Better notice my hand movements and how I'm applying pressure on the brush. See, I'm moving my hands and I'm making sure the site touching the stem is pointy. So it's inverted. See how I'm doing. See, all you have to do is notice the hand movements and you have to practice them with just a few hand movements. I'm able toe paint leaves, which looks Excuse it. Why would I see that? It looks proper. It looks like a leave, and it is a proper shape. And I'm just showing you with another color so that you can grasp it more nicely. So with just fewer strokes, minimalist rocks were ableto pain to leave. Simple. Now comes the fourth leave, which is a clear in shape. I'm again making the site of stems so that I don't have any issue toe think Where should I place the next leaf? You know, So we'll start with the circular Nazi. I realized again the water is less year, so I'm going to add more water and then I'm going to play a complete pressure on my brush. I think this is a leave. Have applied the most pressure on my brush to make it look like circular in shape. So see how I'm doing. I'm applying most of the pressure on the brush for beads until with your brush. We don't want to ruin these rushes. Sometimes expensive. So we have to look. Look toward that. We don't ruin it do like this. And if you have more water so the stroke would be very smooth. As you are already seeing how I feels. Difficulty with the stroke sided, I added more water And how would begin? Small See again? It's not this one sided more water. And now I'm making this book. So this was this a clerk Leave Now we're going to make leave, which is a longer dude and it has beautiful ship. Not This is one of my favorite and most legs once, because you just have to sometimes apply pressure. Then move your hand, Ziggy. Ziggy way. Apply complete pressure on the leaf on your brush on the brush. I meant and move your brush like this. Now what you can do in this thief is while applying pressure, you can release a little bit. So it when we get in line, if you will apply a lot of pressure, it will make a take line, then 10 then take suggests. Make a combination of this to like, apply more pressure than suddenly stopped applying more pressure. Make it like Look here, See 10 antics simultaneously. Move your hand also. So it will give you a Ziggy Ziggy kind of shape. See how I'm doing it. So it's really a fun leave if you will make it. You're going to enjoy this a lot, and I need it. I just made it very far, but you get the idea what I mean. It's so fun. So now that we have painted this, we're going to paint these two leaves and the only difference between the technique is similar in these reliefs. The only difference is one is rounded in shape and another oneness pointy. So again, I'm going to makes Spain and water properly, and I will try to make it, you know, a different color. And now I'm going to make the meanest em inside the same says usually. And now comes the fun part. I'm going to start painting from side off the stem and one round two round three. And I'm just going to add on these rounded leaves and I'll make a bigly forward offered a small, rounded leaves. And I'm just going to make a big early fought off it. That is it. And you can see the inference of these Liefer rounded. Not it's spiky, not pointy. So again, this make No. I thought this was more drawn. So again, you know, make corrected. Maestro, there's no issue in correcting your strokes. That's okay. All right, again, around the stroke, Another round, a stroke touching the first, a stroke. Third a stroke. We're just going to add on these round stroke leaves and will make a big leaf. So this is round. Watch very carefully. These around and shape. Okay, these are good in shape, then points that go now I'm going to paint another set off leaves. But these leaves are spiky appointed and they're very point. You know, they're great shop, so you will see what I'm meaning to do. I'm going to make the site of Stems and then I will start making these elongated shop lives . Now, if you can see, I've made 45 parts of this leaf you can add on to it. You know, you can add more spiky leaves. You can even adhere more rounder leaves. You can make it out off 10 parts, three parts. You can make it shorter. Also like 34 parts. That is it. But if you want more parts to it, you can do it. There's no restriction about this. So again we'll start making spiky leaves one by one, and we're going to add it like first thief. Second leave heard leave. And I'm just going to join them all together at one place and I can add it, you know, at the center to give it some shape. Another one pointy pointy. I'm coming back to the first stroke. See how fun it is alone did spiky or pointy. Now comes thes two leaves, so these two live sports are different but faster. Forrester. Let us start with this leave. It's a single leave, which you can paint with in a way that it's, you know, it's in a zigzag emotional you consider it's kind of rounded, circular shapes and Mr Glow, she it's made it like that. So they're different ways, toe making it. I'm showing you all the days. See how I'm making it at the influence. I'm tryingto bring semi circles or we've kind of ship. How? See, we've said you have seen how sea waves are. So that's what I'm trying toe make in the leaf. See, I'm trying to give the shape off the leaves, so it's also again a very fun exercise, with your brush and a hand movement coordination, applying pressure and moving your hand to give the shape of weeks. I think it's one of the easiest fun because we have painted or we have drawn shape of the leaves since childhood, and this is a very common shape that comes to our mind. What I'm making sure is there are waves at one part at both ends, but the point opposed to stem should be pointing. Can you see these points? Wait. So we'll have to do that. Now comes. See heaven. Look, that's what I mean. These are point these around. Great. But the opposing parties pointy. Have a look. This right? So you have to be careful with this. It's easy make leaves, but that the engines make believe point and point of the leave. Pointy. Now comes the capsule one. The capsule leaves that I have discussed with you since they have the shape of the capsule . I call them capsule leaves. So make it round shaped in this comeback, and again we get on sheep. Simply again. Was carefully how I'm doing. We just have to make a round shape at one in. And when we come back, we'll have toe again. Make it around. So one thing I just want to mention that we can make the leaves as long as broad on as short as you want. There's no restriction to it. All right? Depending on the size of your brush, you can do that. Okay, so this is it. Now let's move on to part toe. The source are part one and not. It is 7. Painting Leaves Part II: now that we have painted but one off the leaves, we're going to start painting the part two of the leaves. As you can see, I have added a few three more kind of leaves here. So basically, these are two different shapes tenor shapes, taker, a broader leave. And this looks lovely. And this third part is showing the movement off a leaf and went off breeze. So it could be It does look like these two leaves, but I will in and I'll show you more leaves more different, kind off leaves that are in motion or in vendor and breeds. So this is how we should captured the movement off relief in a painting. So let us begin up painting and I'm going to you. I'm just showing you the different types of shapes of leaves that have practice before teaching you. And we shall discuss this part into projects project part like what you will be making the practical ways that you can bring these leaves. So let us begin our painting. I'm going to use the back part of the people and I'm going to makes ah, my paint and I'm goingto make a mixture of pigment and water in enough quantity so that I do not run out off it as your food. This is very important. But now this is the leaf, which is what I call a random leaf. It has round shape and it has a pointy shape. It's a make sure off the small, small leaves coming toe together to make one big leave. But it will have around she and a spike your point of ship. So let me demonstrate it to you. I'm going to make the meanest em. I'm going to give my brushes straight to the paper. And this way I could make a very thin line representing the meanest M. And these are the site of Stems. I'm going to pick up my paint from the palate, and I will make around sheep spiky shape. Then again, again spiky shape, then, don't she? So this is just done in random motion in Brando V without thinking much just painting the leaves. Bunch of leaves mixed, mixed mixed off round and pointy parts and bringing them all together to make you see properly. I'm zooming in and now you can notice from the brush strokes the pressure that I play on the brush in my hand movements and you can see around pointy shaves that I am painting. This is a very random leave, but it looks fun late and it's easier also for you to paint. And if you are no satisfied with a stroke off the leaf, you can later on ad. You can later on corrected, as I've told you before, too. But do it early, right? We don't want to do it later on at the ways that feel look, that it will have a hard as in which we don't want but you don't want and are being thing. It would become a grazing technical earing. Take me so it's a different thing. See, this is owned spiky, pointy, round, spiky, spiky, then round. So you get yourself a different shape off. Leave now. This is a leaf, which can be any leaf, you know. Basically we have drawn all the leaves in a smooth line in a smooth curved. But this time, instead of making those a smooth girl smooth line, we are going to make them and Ziggy Ziggy way. We're going to give a shape of Ziggy Ziggy lines or curves. So let us begin by drawing the mainstream of the leaf. And now we're going to draw the scientist em be attentive year. I'm moving my hand and baby motion more reefs. There are a lot of lives here, and I'm going to fill in the center part of the leaf. Then again, I'm going to pick some paint and make the emotions and make sure both off my points. Touching the stamina, pose it to it, are pointy or beautiful and shape. No, these are Ziggy's aliens. They have more curves. Not that. Now this part, the sleeve will have more zigzag lines. You can see how randomly and by day and moving my brush I'm filling in the center part and I'm going to pick some water and paint, and now I'm going to paint the part of the leave. As you can see, it has little bit less than gives a line. So I added a stroke with the tip of my brush, and now you will be able to see it clearly in a closer How much zigzag lines are there in here? Unless search all your choice. If you want to make more zigzag alliance. You can go for it. More distortions. You can go for it. Or you can make Leslie the regulation. So this kind of fleet can be applied to inverter to your drop teardrop Circular leave any type of leave and so is the sleeve that we're going toe were about to paint. This leave is nothing. The sleeve can be any leaf. All the lives that we have learned in part one, all you have to do here is you have to leave a blanket space in between the brush strokes. NYSE, this is a big nervous. We're just going to leave a single gap. Observe carefully. This is the first Steve that we have painted. We overlapped our strokes, but you're instead of overlapping. I left a small Vitis base. Now, if you are not a big no, you can leave 23 gaps in a single leave. 23 blankets. Spaces. OK, but if you're a big dirt, so OK, you can just leave one blanket space. Okay? This is inverted teardrop. And now we're going to paint a teardrop. This watch I'm not I'm making although all the leaves that we have already learned in the previous chapter. Previous lesson. But I'm just giving a small blanket. Spacey. See? Right. So this is a teardrop leaf. And now I'm going to show you a small a leave made off small relieves. Right? You would be thinking, How can we bring a blanket space in there? Let me show it to you, as you should. We're going to start from the site part of this stem. This observed like this, then extended now instead, off joining more leaves. I'm goingto bring a small gap here, and I'm going to join it with the mainly side Stan and I can add Don't more small leaves at this. Pardon? This is done. We have already made the leave with a blanket space. All right again, there's another addition that I'm about to tell you. This variation can also be applied to all the leaves we have learned as I'm showing you, we are just not going toe pain side stem CEO generally what we used to do, I'll show you, um we will make a meanest em. Then we have We would make side stems like where would the leaves would be now? I have made the leave. This is inverted, teardrop, but I'm not going toe paint. I'm not going. I'm just not going toe have sighted stems here. I'm Instead, we're going to have to leave directly connected to the main of stem. See, this is the difference. This is the main thing that I'm trying toe show you observe carefully. There is no scientist. Em leave so directly connected to the minister. So this kind of shape, which I'm about to demonstrate it to you this kind of relation to relieve can be applied to all the lives that we have already studied and that you can draw on your own that you observe in nature. So it's a fun ri, right? It gives a different look toe the leave. Now I'm going to draw the first kind of leave that we have learned in the part 11 part second part directly connected to the minister. Then we're going to make sure it's pointed the corner, and we're going to draw circular shape directly connected with the Minister. This one is I'm thinking to paint. Uh, see, we've kind of leave that be a plant and connected to the meanest. Um So I'm just showing you all the leaves, all the leaves that I have in my mind on this part. So that you I don't have any confusion. Any doubts that it could be done or not? Right. So this is it. You can make it anyway if you want. So now this is the leave, which has stranglers she with the bottom. And this one is a heart. And the sun is a really kind of leaves. So we're going to practice them now, Ivan, As usual, I will paint. I will make a make sure of the paint. And I'm going to start painting the Afghanistan and the sight of stems so that I know where to place the leaves. And now this leaf is going to have Vichy. I'm going to make a V shape with my brush, see how I'm doing. And then I'm going to move my brush in curves or plane or any washing that I want. So this is a V shape at the bottom. Observe how I move the brush. I'm going to keep my brush at a slant angle. It's not the street, it is very slant. So I'm going to make the left part off, read and write part off again. I'm making a V. Okay, then I took some water and I'm just going to make curvy lines and I'm just going to paint this leaf. So this is a different. See, The thing is, I'm making a V shape. You can make the Vichy little bit broader. You can make it a little bit tener shorter. Instead of making it broad, you can shrink. It'll it a little bit like this one is a brick shrink, fun. And this one is also a little bit shrink from. So just make a V shape with your brush and just extend the a stroke by making curved shapes . The key to painting leaves is very simple. You have to observe the shape of the leaf. In reality, how does it look and then think to yourself thing to your mind. How can I be in this shape on paper with my brush in few minimal strokes? That is it. So as I'm demonstrating you these shapes, you get the idea, you will get died, and as you will practice them, you will get the idea how I'm doing it. We'll just have to use our own creative minds to give shape toe immediate the shape that we're seeing in nature No comes the leaf, which is a que tous one. This is the one with hearts and basically, if you notice clearly as you have paid attention, I'm making two inverted leaves to inverted teardrop leaves together and I'm joining them. I'm overlapping them. The first leave then, Werter teardrop, And I'm just going toe overlap it with the 2nd 1 So it is this simple, right? Another only variation that we can bring in the sleep is we can make it broader. We can make it, you know, we can shrink it. Weaken wicket broader. Oh, as you reload the smell I'm making a broader year. We can make that the bank that we see between these two leaves weekend. Uh, bring that bent. Bring that death in the band more like here. Or we can make a short take no bend or more depth to it. OK, more gap between them. More depth to it. I think you are able to understand what I'm trying to say. So these are the relations that you can go with this league now comes the lily for amaryllis lily or any kind of release that, you see, this is very simple stroke. You like you just move your brush apart and then you move it down, put apply pressure, take it up on. But then release the pressure so that you will have a pointy end. See, like I release the pressure that more pressure, the big name and then slowly, slowly we're going to release the pressure that this is how the grasses look. So this is also leaf only guys. So we're going to paint it from bottom to top, and we're going to hold the brush in between and we're going to give the brush straight to the paper. So we will be able tow, get 10 lines off. How grass looks trade. It should be perpendicular straight to the paper so that we can make beautiful lines. Now comes these two leaves. This is a beautiful shape. What I'm going to do is I'm going to make No, I have seen this kind of shape and real life, so I thought, Let's try it. So I'm just going to give it out of shape. I'm going to try the authorship of belief. As you can see, this precious a smaller in size. If I had ah, big brush, I would not have toe make so many strokes. So it's okay. Sometimes we have to make longer strokes, Morris strokes. So I'm just trying to give it shape until unless I'm satisfied and giving a point at the poser. Now I'm joining the leaf by making a small inverter triangle and that is it. We have made the stem with it again. I'm going to show you properly. I'm going to make it a small leave so that the brush stroke is easily made. See, I didn't need more brush strokes. I'm making pointed at one end of the day and I'm just going to make two lines. Two girls lanes, this line the slain and I'm going to make a stem out off it. That does it so simple. Now this one is again a variation. You can paint any going to flee for this relation. This variation is just for the fact that leave isn't breeze. A leaf isn't wound. There is a movement of the leave. So I'm moving the leave in air and this is what I see. Ah, bank leaf. I see a different kind of band in the league, so that does it. You can make a leaf with the bend, Vic and move. And this is the This is smaller leaves. And I have just I've made only one part off on the right because it is hidden. It has moved. It has been bent. So this is what the person sees in front. So we'll have to bend the leaves. And this is the part two. We have completed this fart. And altogether this was part one and part two. You can take a screenshot off it and the 8. Final Project Explained : guys as we have completed the painting, this is the time to discuss the fire project. One of the main things that you're going to do is you're going to paint all these leaves and you will make a chart offered. You can do it the way I did, like painted on a small papers. Or you can paint them on a small paper and you contain them all in it. As you can see, the difference is the size off the leaf. You know, these are larger in size, and this one has a smaller insights. Search just depends on your own choice, or you can in fact make a very large painting. Er, you can use a large size of paper, and you can paint all the leaves together. Part one and part of you can separate them like this as after. It's just for your practice. Now I'm sure you more often abstract a random V off painting leaves and you are going toe observed pleasing or layering technique. Here. Basically, lading technique is when you apply one layer off paint brushes, stroke whatever you apply the paint on people, you're going to lower it to dry and then you're going to apply another layer off paint on it so you can see there layered over one another. And that is it. Just you have to allow the previous layer to dry. And this is this one is like a bouquet and urges again, it shows glazing technique. How gorgeous this piece close and this is another bouquet, but you're able to notice it is darker in color and then sweetness lighter in color. The this this was able This was actually done with the help off, using more pigment, more paint and less water. So I was able to get dark colors here, darker value off the paint here and here. I was using very transparent fortunes like, you know, of 70% 80% water and 20% pigment. So this creator, darker value off the painting, which is beautiful, and this creates elective really off the painting, which is again beautiful water beautiful in their own. So you can cry and kabuki do blazing random things, and this one is more practical. It's more off. A practical example have painted to flowers. You can paint any flowers off your choice and now I have chosen one off the leaves that we have learned. This is the C wave leaf and you can see those blankets. Spaces 234 Let me show you. This is the C V fleet that we have London, Part one. And that's what I've made here. But I've also incorporated in it small blanket species like here. But instead of just making one blankets face have made it like 34 blankets, spaces, You can see it. 1234 suits after you what you would like to do with it. But this is more awful practical example. All right. And this is another example of floral arrangement. When I have made three flowers, you can she check my skill share classes on painting flowers? And I have used these leaves that have bean did that have taught you? I've just used these leaves. You can shake these old painting for us is again a fun but you just being the battles and you made the center parts and you just add only leaves around it. So any any which ways that is convenient for you is great. But most important thing is that you should practice thes leaves at least try toe practice . Seven. It leaves at a time, and if you have time, can paint them all my best wishes. Thanks for watching.
