In this course my mom and I will teach you how to make delicious tamales!

If you have never made tamales before - you might feel a little intimidated by the long list of ingredients and the overall process, but you shouldn't be - because all the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store. :)

We have broken down this course into 9 easy steps and we will show you what you will need for every section. This recipe will will make 5 dozen tamales or 60 to 64 tamales.

1. Tamales - Introduction : - in this course, my mom and I will teach you how to make the best the malice. If you have never made the models before, you probably feel a little intimidated by the long list of ingredients and the overall process. But you shouldn't be because all the ingredients you will need can be found at your local grocery store. We have broken down this course into nine easy steps, and we will show you what you will need. For every section. This recipe will make five dozen tamales or 60 to 64th tamales. 2. Tamales - Main Ingredients : here are the main ingredients you will need to make the best of malice in the world. 3. Tamales - Cook the Meat : step one is to prepare and then cook the meat for 1.5 to 2 hours. And here is what you will need for this section. - Now you will put in all the ingredients into the cooking pot. When you pour in the water, make sure that it completely covers the meat. You will now cook the meat on high for a few minutes until it starts to boil. After some time, the meat will build a foam, but you can easily skim the foam with a spoon. A scene here. Once the meat starts to boil at a steady pace, you will lower the heat and let it cook for 1.5 to 2 hours. 4. Tamales - Clean the Corn Husks : in Step two, you will clean the corn leaves. You will start by gently separating the leaves and removing any corn, silk or debris. You will also want to separate bigger leaves from the smaller ones. The bigger leaves can be used first, as this will make bigger thumb. Alice. You will now place the leaves in the sink or a large bowl and cover the leaves with water. You will soak the leaves and water for a minimum of 30 minutes. Feel free to set a heavy bull on top of the leaves to keep them submerged. 5. Tamales - Prepare the Potatoes : instead. Three. You will peel and cut the potatoes and here is what you will need for this section You will start by peeling the potatoes, washing them and then cutting them into slices. A scene here you will then put the potatoes enable and you are going to cover them completely with water. Then you can set him aside for later. Once we start putting that the modest together. 6. Tamales - Check on the Meat: instead poor. After about an hour and 1/2 you will check on the meat. You will start by taking the pieces of meat out of the pot to cool down for about 10 to 15 minutes. You will then take a potato masher to mix in the garlic into the broth as seen here. You will then use the broth for both the chili sauce and to mix the dough or masa. 7. Tamales - Make the Chile Sauce: instead. Five. You will learn how to make the chili sauce, and here is what you will need for this section. You will start by removing the top in the seeds from the chili as seen here. You will then want to give the chilies a quick rinse. Then you will add the chilies in the beef broth together in a pot and let it boil on low heat for 15 minutes. You can then start cutting the onions into medium pieces of seen here. After the chilies have cooled off for a bit, you can then add the onions, oregano and chilies into the blender. - Now you will blend it all together. Once blended, make sure to taste the chili sauce and that salt if need be, then you would blended once more. Once it is fully blended, you will go ahead and strain it as seen here. And here is the final result. You will later uses chili sauce for both the meat and the dough. 8. Tamales - Prepare the Meat : in step six, you will learn how to shred and prepare the meat for that the madness. You will start by shredding the beef. You can do this with a fork or your hands. - Next , you will add the five bay leaves to the shredded Viv. A scene here you can then add the chili and mix it in with the beef. Once it starts to boil, make sure to makes it so the meat doesn't stick to the pot. You will then lower the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes. 9. Tamales - Prepare the Dough : in Step seven, you will prepare the dough for the families, and here's what you will need for this section. - You will start by putting the dough in the bowl, and then you will add 1.5 cup of the chili sauce. Next, you will add the two cups of oil. - Then you will add the paprika. This step is optional, depending on if you would like the dough to have more color, you will then mix it all together with your hands. Or you could use a stand mixer. At this point, you can taste the dough to see if it needs solved. If it does, add a little bit at a time and continue to make sido, you will know the dough is ready when it no longer sticks to your hand. 10. Tamales - Assemble the Tamales: in Step eight, you will learn how to put that the modest together, and here is what you will need for this section. - You will start by spreading the dough on the corn husk have seen here. - Now you add the meat, potatoes and olive menu will fold the two sides and the bottom you will bend. Keep repeating this process until you're finished. - Here is where teamwork comes into play and is very important. One person can spread the dough on the corn husk and the other can add the ingredients. This way you will finish a lot faster. 11. Tamales - Cook the Tamales: in step nine, you will learn how to cook that the Mullis. You will start by first adding water to the pot, and you will fill it up to this border here. You will now begin to add that the malice in a circular motion, and you will stack one slightly over the other as seen here. - Next , you will cover that the Monets with the semi wet cloth. This will help with keeping the heat in when cooking. Now you can turn the heat too high until it starts to boil. Once it starts to boil for a couple of minutes, you can lower the heat and let the tamales cook for about 1.5 hours. You can now check to see if that the mothers were done. Be careful here because it will be really hot if the potato is soft as seen here. That means that that the mothers are finally done 12. Tamales - Conclusion: way.
