About This Class
Create a beautiful showcase piece from old, tired furniture. Finishing.
In the final installment of this series on refurbishment of old furniture, I'll be going over how I prepare the work for the finish and apply the finish.
The prep work includes the final sanding and filling nail holes. I will be using shellac and demonstrating a couple different methods to apply this finish. Lastly I will attach all of the hardware necessary for doors and shelves or drawers.
Tools and materials*:
Sandpaper
Wood filler
Finish of your choosing, I'll be using shellac.
Brush, finishing pad or spray equipment.
*You may need more or less depending on you specific project.
If I've done this right, limited free enrollment can be found here.

I am driven by a need to create. This has lead me down some interesting roads.
I know a bit about woodwork, metal work, leather, casting, and several other disciplines. I also enjoy passing along what I know to others.
Life is a continual path of improvement.
