I got my other camera that I'm talking to you right here. And yeah, this is this is the set up guys. So in the next tutorials here, moving forward, we're gonna go over five steps. This course is only going to be about 30 minutes long. I want to get you through it. I want to get your teaching. And before we get into our five steps, I'm going to be sharing with you the class project here on skill share, you see, skill share encourages people to take action and also create amazing things. That's why they have a project section for your courses. This is actually a requirement that they have. So I'm gonna actually go through right now. The project with you in this class and the project is to create your own skill share course . And I want you to share that with us here in the class. So drop down in the project. You'll see they'll be on a list of all the different steps and everything that I talk about in this class. You'll learn how to create your course. Your learned what's microphones to use all the different fun stuff that you're seeing here . And yes, that's what's most important. So I just want to share that class project with you there, which is to create your own skill share class. That's the end goal of this is to not only watch this course and get some really good ideas , but also be able to execute, take action and create your very own skill share class. Thanks, guys. I'll see you in step number one. Coming up. Stay tuned. 4. 3) Step 1) How to Sign Up and Start Teaching on Skillshare Today!: Hey, guys, what's up? Joe Paris back and in step number one. It's time to register on skill share. Now, you might have done this already, but it's a pretty simple, easy process. You sign up with your Facebook Google and or an email, but once you do that, we're gonna go ahead and set up our profile. So let me show you how to do that. I'm gonna sign in here real quick. I'm going to use my video account. Okay? So you might have to go through a few steps to get to this page that I'm at. It will ask you a couple of questions whether you want to sign up to be a premium member or not. And then you come to something like this. Now, you might have some different classes and courses up here, but here's how you access your profile. You have this little figure in the right hand corner. Go ahead and click on that. And then from here, go ahead and click on view Profile now to take a second or two to actually load up. And then she looked pretty basic. Now yours might have your name in here. It might not have anything, but here's how you add it. Your profile. Go ahead and click the edit profile button, and this is where you can add images, videos, other links you could add in your headlines. So, like high, um on online teacher. Right. You can add in your Facebook your l Twitter instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and then your personal website right here on your profile. That's really cool. Once you're all that your once you've done with all of that, you can go ahead and save and exit. You can also add a section. Okay, so you can add even more content. Here. You can do some projects and add some projects to your profile. It's really interactive. And I'm not gonna walk through each and every single one of these steps because depending upon how much you want to add, you might not want to add anything. You might want to keep moving forward, which is what we're gonna dio. So I actually wanted to share with you my own profile to give you an idea of what it can look like. So for by about me section I'm currently serving more than 500,000 unique students in virtually every country around the world. It's amazing, but I want to share that social proof right away because it's what I do full time guys. This is what I do is I create these online video courses for you. After that, I talk about a little bit more about myself and just encourage people to take action. Try and rolling in the course and see for yourself. And I think that's really, really important. After that. I talk about some of the things that I teach development confidence and self esteem teaching online, which is something that you're kind of learning today and trying again for trying not to not to force people into doing it, but encouraging them. I try it, try and rolling today. Then I talked a little bit about myself. Some of the things that I've gone through, where I went to school and yeah, it's really cool to. Once you get started, you could see the amount of followers that you get the following that you hair. How many people I'm following in classes that I'm taking how many classes that I published so far. So it's been 68 number hours of learning, marketing, health and wellness. You could see all the different categories here, a number of projects that I've posted a number of posts writing conversations that I participated in, and there's actually a lot more of both of these. But this gives you, Ah, nice little overview of what it will look like when your profile is kind of complete and you're starting to get some enrollments and people into your classes. The next thing you need to do, though, to become a teacher as well become a teacher. Go ahead and click on this, become a teacher button, and it'll take you to teaching on skill share. After that, go ahead and click get started. So now it says, Create your class. Anyone, contigent earn money on skill share. And that's the truth, guys. It's absolutely amazing opportunity that we have here on skill share. So the first thing it asked us to pick a class category that you might not know this for sure yet, but that's OK. You can always change this later. Go ahead and click on this and let's just do creative for now. What? Your primary goals of teaching in this class probably just to give back. And then I'm gonna go ahead and click. Continue now. After that is his change you made may not be saved. That's okay. Go ahead and reload. And now we have our course overall landing page here. This is where you're gonna upload your video lessons you're gonna add in your videos by just clicking the video up loads here, a little box will come up, and then this is where you can add in your videos. You can find them from your desktop, your drive. Any of that kind of fun stuff from here. Also, this is where again, skill share classes, on average are only 22 60 minutes in total running time. Divided into short 2 to 5 minute lectures. To publish your class, the combined the length of your videos must total at least 10 minutes of this is really important to put a class on skill share. It must be at least 10 minutes with all of your videos combined. Now, that might just be one or two videos. That could be it, but it has to at least meet the 10 minute mark. Average classes around 20 to 60 minutes and their great this kind of like micro learning. And there's a huge need for this right now. And I'm going to be creating even more and more classes here in skill share like this because I love learning like this. I love teaching like this. Okay, let's keep moving forward. Class info. This is where you put in your class title. So title of your class. The description. Okay, So what is your class about? You can add media. You could add links. Now there's certain things you can and cannot do here. You can't add links to promote yourself and all that other kind of fun stuff. But if it has to deal with course, they have these options here. Bullet points numbers underlined italics add medium like pictures and things. This is a great opportunity to really showcase what students are going to be learning in your course class project. This is very, very important. So what is your class project? Giving your students a phone exercise that allows them to practice and share what they have learned and use ah 100 characters in the class project. So what a class project is guises is basically a way for the students to interact with you and how and what they're learning in your class. Let me give you an example of this. In one of my classes, I teach people how to log. In the very beginning of that class I share with people how to vlog right away, we actually make a very short 32nd to 1 minute vlog right away. And then the overall big project is to for them to create their own vlog and share it on the platform. So not only other learning how to log, but then they're actually making and creating of log, uploading it and then sharing it. It's a great project, and I can't wait to see more and more of those projects come to life as the course gets taken and more and more people actually enroll from here. This is where you have to enter in your category. So one of the business technology lifestyle, choose a category A sub categories. Let's do creative again. Then we have a lot of different sub categories here, And if you don't find a specific niche for your class, just do your best. And yeah, honestly, these air. Just more guidelines. They are important, right? So, like if you have a business class, you probably wouldn't want to put it in the lifestyle category. And gaming on that sits about gaming, right? So they try to obviously help their students find their classes, and that's why this is really important. The class type premium are free. We'll talk about some or marketing strategies here in our next steps coming up. So don't worry about this too much, but I would recommend that you just leave it on Premium. And then from here, What level is that for students? Maybe it's all levels. Maybe it's, you know, just for advanced, right? So if you did like a camera class and it was for advanced students, maybe you would choose that and then the class skill so you can search for tags and skills here. So maybe it's video, right? And then maybe it's, um, you know, video, video editing, specifically video production video. So, video editing, perfect. Let's do. And then again it pops up. Mawr suggested skills as you type this in. It took a second for it to kind of figure out what it was doing there, but maybe it was videography. Rice. Please click this little plus button. Maybe it's iPhone videography, you know, maybe it's Iowa us. Ah, probably wouldn't be Iowa's developing. Maybe you add it with my movie. Something's there to think about, and that's how you can add in your skills. You only get five of these, so I'm pretty positive you only get 5 to 10. Yeah, seven skills. Sorry you get seven. There we go. For some reason, I thought it was five. But that's where you add in those tags. And once everything is complete, then you can submit and publish your class. And that's the basic overview. Now there's a lot more to this in general. You can always preview your class here by clicking this preview button in your title of your class again is something that you want to put up here. But that's the nitty gritty of it, and then your video lessons here you just upload them and away you go. It's really that simple, guys. So I want you to get started right here, right now. Hopefully over up your account. Hopefully you get started. Kind of just like figuring out what you want to teach, and that's exactly where we're going next. So I'll see you in our next video lecture. Stay tuned, and thanks again for watching. 5. 4) How To Earn Royality Payments on Skillshare: Hey, guys, what's going on? Joe Paris Back with another quick video now. I thought this would be really, really important before we move on with the rest of the class, and it's actually how payments work on skill share. So not only how skill share earns money, but how you, as the instructor earns money as well. So let's go ahead and dive into this. If you want to learn more, you go. Skill shares help center, and you can just click on the earning revenue, how payments work, and then we're gonna go through a few of these other things here. So here's how skill share makes money. They have a premium membership, which includes unlimited access to their entire catalog of premium classes. So how this is work for us as teachers? Well, we're compensated for referrals. OK, so you get $10 for every student that you bring to skill share and actually get referrals every single month. It's actually pretty awesome, and then I also get, and you will also earn royalties. So royalties based on the number of minutes. I guess it's a really important number of minutes. Watch in your classes every month and I'm gonna go through and share some statistics here with you really quickly. And then also, um, share with you some more about this in the class. So I go into more depth with this. Okay, so let's talk about premium referrals, though. So earning a premium referral basically means if you send out your referral link saying, Hey, try my new class, it's a premium class. You'll have to actually, you know, spend some money to watch the class. But if anybody that signs up with your link, you automatically earn $10 for that. All right, so it's very straightforward, very easy to do, and I'll share with you here in a second how we actually access this. So let's go talk about the earnings and royalties, though really quickly and again this you guys can, you know, look at all of this, but I just want to walk through briefly. Each month, between 30 and 50% of skill shares premium membership revenue goes to a royalty pool for the teachers, OK, and then the other 50% approximately goes to running the platform and day to day operations right through the royalty model. Teachers are paid out based on their share of the minutes watched by premium students across the platform. So, for example, if 5% of all the minutes watched by skill shared by premium students happening to teachers classes, they would earn and receive 5% of the royalty pool every single month. So students and I or should I say, not students, teachers who are earning between Leno $3000 That's probably towards the higher end and then , you know, a couple 100 boxes towards like the beginner. If, you know, you could definitely come in here and start getting some results. It just takes time to kind of get started. So let me actually share with you how you get started and then how you can actually sign up to get paid, because this is really important. So the next part here, um, you want to click on your account settings? OK, so you go to your account, your account settings, and this is how you actually set up. Um, you have your payments option here, and this is how you set up your payment method. Paypal, Right now is the on leeway to get paid. Okay, so in order to earn money, you'll need to set up your PayPal account, and it's pretty straightforward. You add in your PayPal email address and then that's it, right. So then they will pay you, um, once a month on the 16th. So that's something that I didn't go into as well. But basically, it's every 16th of the month they pay you for the previous month. So in your profile, you have your statistics. All right, so here are my teacher stats. Currently, you can see I have four premium referrals and I get like I said, premium referrals every single month. We're approaching a 1,000,000 minutes watched. So that's really exciting. Probably do something for this because it's a pretty awesome milestone. Here's the mount that I've earned in about two years. So it's about, you know, $31,000 a year just on steel share alone. So that's really encouraging. And you can see that I'm getting thousands of premium minutes almost on a daily basis. Not Does fluctuate. Okay, so I'm not going to sit here and tell you that, like, oh, yeah. You're gonna make 1000 minutes every single time. No. Ah, it just depends, right? There's a lot of factors that go into this, but I just want to share with you a few, um, stats. So if you want to refer students, you come to this panel, you click on your refer students and earned $10. And, um, here's to generate a link for you. You can add in, you know, um, email addresses. And that's exactly how you find your referral link. Okay, so these were some important things to, uh, get set up and yeah, for sure. You're gonna want to set up your paper, alec out. So you definitely want to get this set up as soon as possible. That where you can actually start earning now you don't have to do. Ah, this Okay, you could You could teach on skill share for free and, like, just, you know, build a following and create free classes. But if you actually want to earn royalties for your work and create premium classes, you're going to set up a PayPal account. This is the only way that they have it currently. This may change in the future, but that's about it. All right, guys, Thanks again. So much for watching this video. We're gonna continue on with our class, but just thought this was a very, very important video for you guys, and I'll see you very soon. 6. 5) How To Create A Syllabus and Plan Your Skillshare Class: Hey, guys, what's going on? Joe Paris, back with you and step number two in our video course here. After you've signed up, you registered to set up your profile. You've done all that kind of fun stuff. It's now time to sit down and actually plan what you're going to teach your students. And I don't want you to spend a crazy amount of time actually planning and doing this because here's why. If you spend, let's say, three weeks planning on what you want to teach. I think the most important thing that you need to do is actually just start teaching, getting the camera set up, getting the microphones, getting on camera, having that experience, because when I first got started, I was clueless with a lot of this stuff. I'm still kind of a little clueless today, to be honest. And yes, I'm gonna continue to keep learning. But the best way to learn is through doing, and your students feel the same way as well. They want to actually learn, get out there, do this kind of stuff. So that's what I recommend to you. If you're brand new to teaching online, get out there start teaching. Just start doing set up the camera, do the microphone, have it not work the way that you wanted to learn from their try to, you know, fix the lens. Do this, get in there and just start doing it. You see, Right now, guys, I have a few things jotted down on a piece of paper here that I'm trying to get out to you and teach here in this video lecture. But it's not like this, you know, Say this. It's all scripted. It's not scripted. No, I suggest that you don't script your videos because it can sound very robotic and people can get information anywhere. These guys, they really can You google it, YouTube it. You can find information anywhere. Why do people want to actually watch your stuff? They're gonna want to come to you because they want to resonate with you. They like your personality. They like what they're seeing. They feel good and fun about watching the video. So that's what I think What's most important? And if you're sitting there all robotic, talking into the camera, this is what I'm going to teach you. Yes, they're not going to probably come back to you. So how do you get out of that? Well, quickly. Here. Get out of that by practicing. You get in front of the camera, you just do it Repetition over and over and over. You see, I can sound so comfortable and relaxed and fun in front of the video camera here because I've taken so many, many hours. It's crazy. Thousands of videos, guys I've done and created. So I just want to share that little experience with you. But you need to start planning. So I suggest that you sit down, you take maybe an hour or two, but again, the most important part of the action taking, which is coming up in our next step. But I want you to actually lay out what you're going to teach your students. And I think it's important to give them a game plan. Give them a syllabus. You see, I used to teach as a teacher in the classroom. I have my degree in history, psychology in American government from a private liberal arts school, and I used to teach in the classroom we would in the beginning of each semester or quarter again. It just depends on what you're teaching and where you're at. Have a course syllabus. It's a roadmap, guys, that maps everything out for everybody. I think it's very important that you have that map in your head before you start teaching, so go ahead. Now pause the video if you need to, or just come back to the next step when you're ready. And go ahead now and plan your video course what you're going to teach. And I want to give you one last little like suggestion and tip here on skill share. They have more bite size, smaller courses 30 minutes to an hour is very, very ideal, with 5 to 10 maybe 15 minute video lectures in general. So stick to that format and try that out, I guess. Don't stick to that format. Try that out, see if that works. But in my own personal experience, when my best courses on skill shares only a 30 minute class on confidence and self esteem, its bite sized little videos and it does really well. So go ahead. Now, guys plan below, right, not the lectures, the descriptions, what the course title is going to be. Take a little bit of time of this and I'll see you in our next step. Step number three 7. 6) Step 3) My Studio! Which Equipment do I use and Recommend for Teaching Online : Hey, guys, what's up? Joe Paris here Back Step number three. Hopefully, you've already done Step number two, which is actually planning and writing out and organizing your course. So if you haven't pause the video, go back there and make sure you do that because in Step three, it's now time to record. It's time to get started recording, and I want to offer you a few tips and strategies here. When it comes to recording. First and foremost, it's really important you have a dedicated space for recording. As you can see right here, I have a microphone. It's all attached to my computer. My monitor is a 32 inch TV here. I have a webcam up top. I have a light. I have another light over here and then I'm talking to you in this camera with microphones . It's kind of crazy. This is very I would say, a little more of an advanced set up, but my point is, is now. When I go to create videos, it's all set up for me. It's really, really simple. It's just right there. I push play a put the microphone in. I push record and away we go. That right there is going to be such a time saver for you. Because if you have to set up the camera, the microphone, the lighting, all this kind of stuff, every single time you sit down to record, it's going to be very exhausting. And then by the time you actually record, you're not gonna want to do it, and you won't do as much. Take that away. I'm telling you, it's so important that you take that process out of it and you set your studio up. You have a little space here, and you make the time to do that. So spend the time at that setting up your office. And if you want some specifics, unlike which cameras to use, which ones to go through, I'll talk to you a little bit about that here right now. First and foremost, I have a little microphone on me. It's a lab microphone and it's called Will have microphone on its by road microphones. Okay, so road lovelier microphone. You could find it on Amazon for right around 70 bucks. Very great. Microphone high quality. Awesome. I just haven't plugged into my phone, So let me gravity is just plugged into my phone here, guys, and it's recording. So I have that set up as a backup on top of my camera here. I actually have a shotgun, microphone, another rode shotgun microphone. So you're going to be able. Teoh said this this way. I can actually make sure that I get really, really good, clean, crisp audio. And I wanted to just have that as a backup. In case one of these fails the next little microphone I have here. This is recording when I do my screen capture stuff and this is the A T R 2100 microphone USB microphone. 60 70 bucks somewhere around there off Amazon. So very reasonable, very high quality, highly recommend this. Okay, the next thing I have is a monitor, but you can find a monitor while really anywhere you want to. You don't even have to have a monitor here, but I have my Mac book pro hooked up here, so it's sitting right here. But I do have the Mac book pro, and that helps me edit. That helps me do all my recordings and everything there. I highly recommend Mac computers, but again, that's kind of a personal preference. I have my little light up here and I have my webcam. My webcam is just a logic Tech 10 80 p. Webcam. You don't need anything that crazy. Guys. When people are watching you on a webcam and you're doing some sort of tutorial based stuff , you don't need to see the freckles that air on your face, right? You know, they just need to get the gist of who is talking and this camera, I think, for 50 or 60 bucks again does a phenomenal job. It's a USB micro USB webcam, and that's what I use again. Check out Amazon. If you're looking for more of this, will put some links in the description below so you guys can actually check these out and, yeah, go ahead and do that for lighting. You can get some lighting kits and stuff on Amazon to for on 50 60 bucks, and they work fantastic. I've been really, really happy with the lighting kits that have. I have a couple of lighting. Kids here actually have this ring lighting kit, which will have to show you here in a second kind of pan through here to give you an example of the entire studio. So what? It kind of looks like, and it's really kind of a small space, but it gets the job done, and I want to share with you a few of those tips now one last one. The video that I'm recording on right now is the Panasonic GH five very high quality camera . A couple 1000 bucks for this one. Definitely worth it, though. In my opinion, I'm shooting in four K, so I just wanted to share everything here with you. So if you're really curious on how to get the exact video that I'm actually doing, that's how you do it. So go ahead. Now, guys, drop down in the comments and the links below, check some of the stuff out. Also, start seeing what's in your budget. I know is a bunch of other cameras from Canon. Stay tuned 8. 7) How To Publish Your Course on Skillshare!: Okay, so you're already now to publish your course. Also, once you've clicked that publish button and your class has gone live on skill share, you will receive an email. It'll say something like Congratulations. Your class has been published. Go ahead then and use your class referral link and share this with as many people as you'd like. We're gonna talk about more of this in our marketing section. Coming up. Stay tuned. I'll see you in our next video. 9. 8) Step 4) How To Market Your New Skillshare Class!: Hey, guys, what's going on? Joe Perez, back with you for our fourth step, and that is marketing. Now that you've launched your course, you put it out there. How do you start getting students to enroll with you? What I wanted to share with you, my own teacher stats currently, and there's probably a lot more of a lot of this by the time that you watch it, and in future, that's going to keep growing, which is amazing. But I have earned more than for close to $35,000 actually, a little bit more than that. And I have 34,000 total students on skill share. The MTA minutes that have been watched from all my video courses are approaching a 1,000,000 which is awesome. Positive reviews close to 1000 and I just started on skills here a few years ago. So this is what it could look like, and I want to share with you my stats for September Here in 2018 I have three premium referrals. I have 16,000 premium minutes watched, and there's still a few weeks left in September. Days the 20th 21st Somewhere around there um, yeah. 20th. So you can see here. Amount of premium minutes that I'm getting and I'm getting close to, on average, 500 to 1000 premium minutes and you can see my months. I had amazing month in August. I had a really good month in July, and I'm getting right around 25 to 30,000 previa minutes every single month. That's pretty cool. It could be better for sure. And I want to serve as many of you as I can. But I also have these other months here. And there are these other minutes here, these green ones. Total minutes. What are these? Well, I want to share with you a few more insights here and here. My total earnings of the year so you can see how much I've earned is definitely fluctuates . So depending upon how much time, energy and effort you put into skill share, who is actually finding your courses? Who's actually watching them? If you build a really big following on here for certain niches, it can really grow. And you can see, in the beginning, I was only making a couple 100 bucks, and in the beginning here I put a bunch of my classes on, and this is why did really well for the very first couple of months, and then after that, it kind of petered off a little bit. We went through some changes, and then it's been slowly kind of climbing and gradually kind of getting to a point where we're earning of more substantial income as well. The beginning of the year is 2000. That was awesome. Sweet, a really big spike in the beginning of the year. That's because skills here does a lot of promotions and things like that, and that's really cool. I've also earned guys $730 off of premium referrals. That means somebody signed up using one of my links. If you're new and you want to actually be somebody who gets a few free months, sign up using my link. I'll put the link in the description, or if you just click somewhere around here, you'll be able to sign up and start getting well. First, to get to three months, which is really, really cool and beneficial, and then also you earn $10 for every premium your referral that you get so If you're going to do it anyway, you might as well use my code and if not totally cool. But I just want to share with you how that worked and then what? That looks like total earnings royalties here and then my premium referrals. Now, I want to share with you a couple strategies here and how to get your first premium minutes . Because if your brand new hottie start getting people to actually enroll in your class is the best strategy is to give your class away for free. Now you can make a premium class free. You can give away a free link and let me share you with you exactly how that works for this example and have to go into some of my classes. So I'm gonna go to my classes that I'm teaching. Let's go ahead and click on this newest one that I have the heart of log class. So from here, you can go ahead and view your stats. You can edit your class. Here's my referral link to. So if you just click on any of my classes, this is the referral ing right here. Just in case you guys were curious, and this is where your referral link will be as well. It should have it right in your class in case people want to sign up with your own referral link. Go ahead and click on edit class, and this is how. Now, if you click on your stats, you can see definitely absent flows. Some days are good. Some days they're not as good and how many people are actually watching how many reviews you're getting? This is really good analytics to look at to, to see many people are actually watching your classes and getting through all of that total number of visitors. If you click on this promote button, though, this is really, really important. Here's where you can share your link. You can share it via email, so if you have a very big email list, you can send your new class out your email list. Free access links. This is what I was talking about. Students with a free access Lincoln. Watch your class four free without a skill share Premium membership. You earned $0 for students who watch your class through a free access link. Learn more so you can see I have a free access link, and 14 people have actually signed up using this link, so they got to watch her free. They didn't have to pay for anything on skill shares free for them. Here's where, though. If we look at our stats we're seeing, I'm getting some premium minutes now. But how am I actually getting premium is because out of the 81 students 14 November free students, but the rest are premium students. So what a free student conducive for you is add social proof to your class because it's very hard to get people to get started right away. People look at how many people are enrolled in this class. I know that's something that I specifically look at, and I want to join a class that has a lot of people in it. Well, if you don't have a following to start, if you give it away for free, people join the class, and that's just some social proof. I'd much rather join a class with 10 people in it, because I know there's hey, something somebody's interested. This is kind of neat compared to zero people, and I'd much rather join a class with 1000 people in it compared Toa 81. So we have the boost This one up a little bit, z actually. Really great. Great classes. Phenomenal. The reviews have been positive, and all of them have been positive. Um, yeah. So if you're interested in blogging, definitely check that out. But I want to share with you. Now we go back to skill share. Yeah, Go ahead. Leave this. That's how you grab that link there, though. Okay? You click on the promote, you create a link and then you can share that wherever you want to, but some or strategies for how to actually get some premium minutes right here. You can see how living he's got 15,000 students, 18,000 students. And you can see another thing to 57 minutes of 30 minutes. That's really important. 30. Doing our really, really good for time wise and also for your students because they want to get through the courts. They want to do something. They want to create something, wanna learn something and then tangibly do it. But the social proof here is really important. So if we go ahead and do a class preview Here's a few things that are really important and this is great. I'm just randomly finding this class here. So right away you have this first introduction video. I highly recommend you have a really good introduction video because skill share gives away that one for free. You can see I can watch this entire video. The rest of them are locked. So it's really important that you have that really good one right away. Draw your students in, take your time and actually do it really good job in your promotional video. Hopefully, I did a pretty good job of my promotional video here to share with you. Another thing that's really, really important. Having really good class description really share with people what your classes about have some really, really good things in their class projects, encourage people to do class projects them or that people actually do the class projects. It's really important. Another thing to social proof wise. Having a lot of students having a lot of projects and then having a lot of reviews. One of ah, really good ways to actually get a lot of reviews is to remind students that they can actually leave a review. Now you can't tell them to give you a positive one. But if you haven't left to review in this class yet, you should think about leaving a review. So my point, though, is reviews play a really, really big role. Invisibility on skill share. The whole goal is to become more visible. How did I land on this class? I landed on this class because the algorithm on skill share I'm not exactly sure what the algorithm completely is, but I'm assuming it's a combination of premium minutes. So how many minutes are being watched? How many people are enrolling in your class? How many people are engaging with your class? All of these metrics kind of come together, and then people will just most likely be able to you get in here. Another key, though, is your keyword terms. So if I type in log right to search, it's very important that people in here we are you type in vlog. I'm right there. Number three. So it's really, really key. It's important that you have the right keywords for what Your course is actually talking to people who look somebody else signed up from our class. So I just wanted to share with you a few of those introduction strategies and really hammer home on those and test them out for yourself. And there's a whole other kind of way that you can continue. Keep marketing really quickly here. I would consider if you haven't email list if you have another following somewhere else. Definitely share your skill share class with that following, because the more people that enroll, especially right away, it helps get your class up to the top rankings here for keywords and searches and all that kind of stuff, which then can encourage people to take a class. Hopefully, this has been very, very helpful. We're onto our last step Step five coming up in our next video. Thanks again, guys. I'll see you very soon. 10. 9) Step 5) How to Create Multiple Video Courses on Skillshare Today! : Hey, guys, what's going on? Joe Paris, Back with our last step in our last step here, I'm going to be sharing with you that it's so important that not only you create your first course, but you also continue to create mawr and Mawr courses. The reason for this is because it's going to give your audience a chance to get to know you more and to continue their learning with you. You see, on skill share you earn currently at the time of this recording, the model is for how many minutes people are actually watching your videos. So if you just have one video course, it's 30 minutes and they watch the whole thing and they're done. Well, they're probably not going to go back, or maybe they will go back a couple times. But you want to give them the opportunity to watch another video course of yours consume more minutes. And that's the strategy that I have actually used a lot here on skill share. You can see I have literally 50 or 60 70 courses by the time that you're watching. This is probably even more than that, and I have all of these courses because I want to give my students the opportunity to learn a variety of different skills to here. For me to hear from some of my other instructors that I work with. I've built an entire academy guys, it's called the Joe Paris Academy. You can see everything if you'd like to. On my website. It's just joe paris dot com. This isn't for marketing or like, a plug or anything like that. I just want to give you an example of what I have done here and why. I think it's so important to actually branch out and use and get into and create different courses. So that is my last but not least strategy here for you, and you've gone through this course up to this point. So you already know how to get started, how to actually plan a course how to start executing on the course, setting up your studio, doing some marketing, and now it's just kind of a wash. Rinse and repeat. And one day, if you do this enough over and over and over again. You have so many students, you have so much going on that you have to quit your job and you'll have to start doing this full time if you want to, or you just create a couple of classes, you make some passive income on the side and it's absolutely incredible. So I just wanted to share my own pro certain personal experience here with you. Personal experience. There we go. And I wanted Teoh give you some tangible things to do in this class. Now, in our next video, we're gonna wrap up this course and we're gonna talk about again our class project. So I really, really look forward to seeing these class projects. And I look forward to seeing you in our conclusion video. You're not gonna want to miss it. So make sure to stay tuned for the next couple of videos here. Thanks again and I'll see you guys very soon. 11. 10) Course Summary and Conclusion with Special Bonuses!: congratulations on making it all the way to the end of our course. We're gonna go through a quick summary, and then we're going to dive into our class project. Don't forget to do your class project. Guys really appreciate it. And I can't wait to see you guys create your classes. And it's a great way to actually start marketing your class because if there's a lot of students in a rule in this class, they might check out the projects and go, Wow, this is a quote project at school. Classmate, villain role in that class. Maybe the watch your premium minutes. Who knows Just a great way. Teoh actually engage and interact. What do we learn in this class? Will? First we learned how to get started. We learned that how set up are profiles hotter than pick a topic and start actually putting this together. How to then market our class and then last but not least, wash, rinse, Repeat, keep creating, keep testing. Keep making more and more classes, and that's my goal for you is to keep testing and trying until you get the results that you're looking for and hopefully serving hundreds of thousands of students like myself. That would be really, really the goal I would imagine for a lot of you. Maybe not. Maybe you wanted to serve a couple 100 be a niche little teacher, and that's totally awesome, too. So go ahead now, guys, drop down below. Check out the class project. I have all the details and everything there for you. It's very simple. You just create your class, you post your class, you can post a picture of screenshot of it. That'd be really cool to see. And then also, if you've enjoyed this class, guys, skill share always asked for reviews at some point. I really, really sincerely appreciate your feedback. So if you liked it, I really again appreciate your feedback. And I think I have a thumbs up, thumbs down kind of system there. So pretty simple toe work with. And I look forward to seeing you guys and mawr of my classes, so I encourage you to. If you've liked this class, check out some of my other classes here on skill share.
