About This Class

This class will cover the very basic elements of art. Learning to draw can be daunting and downright intimidating. How often do you hear people say they can't even draw a stick figure? This class is a low-key, no pressure approach to the art of drawing as well as how artists see in the first place. We will go through each element individually, put them into practice, and then combine the elements at the end to produce a simple 3-dimensional composition.

These are the basic building blocks! You gotta start somewhere...

I learned more here then I did at a live basic drawing class. I'm not finished with this course, but learned more about "how to see" and breaking it down into shapes.

Myra Naito

Animal Portrait Artist

Myra is an artist best known for her incredibly photorealistic animal portraits.

Her love for animals shows in each of her portraits. Her primary goal in each is to capture a bit of the soul of each creature. Her distinctive style has garnered her many commissioned works as well.

Myra has an Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Devoted to her craft, she is always pushing her skills and learning new techniques by traying as much as possible to draw every day. Driven by the amazing qualities of every animal she draws, Myra hopes to record the beauty of the animal kingdom, both pets and wildlife in her art for others to enjoy and to hopefully bring awareness to conservation efforts.
