See you inside. 2. Smartphone pt 1: in this video as far Matthews requesting our discussion board. We're going to create this smartphone a smartphone icon. So as you, Aziz, Usual. Let me break this icon done for you real quick. Of course, the main shape of our smartphone is the rounded rectangle tool. We got the screen, which is a rectangle tool that have divided into two parts. We got some, I believe it's and it's a speaker. We got a face recognition, maybe something like that icon and front camera. I can, of course, we got the main bottom that yes, kind of looks like an iPhone buttoned home button. And of course, we've got some buttons here to the left as well. Yes, OK, so let's start. And, of course, as usual, we are going to start by creating three the well duplicating the Arctic port. That's I'm gonna Clinton Mueller knew our board icon in the control panel and simply going to collect somewhere here and in layers panel creating you Layer called called smart faux Just like that, I'm gonna look the original layer and I'm going to start working. And of course, I'm gonna start with creating a nice, rounded rectangle and let me see. Let me see. I think that this roundness would be okay. Of course, we already know how to control the roundness. Well treating Iran rounded rectangle toe eso weaken do that either by pressing the up or down arrows just like that. And if you want to quickly make the rounded corners disappear, so to speak, just president the left arrow key to make the corners sharp. And if you want to make them as rounded as possible, just press the right arrow key just like that. So I think that this maybe not that much. This roundness should be fine, just like that. And what I need to do now, right now is they need to create the screen, and I will create it with as we mentioned before were direct angle tool. So I'm just gonna create it like so and let me alive these guys properly, so I'm gonna align them in the control panel. It's a modern smartphone, so the edges won't be that that think that maybe not that thin either might be like that. Okay, so what I will do right now is I will create these bottom thes top elements, these these two circles and this rounded rectangle right here. So let me zoom back out and in here so you can see everything better. So with the Ellipse stool, I'm just gonna create in the lips that something like this I'm gonna clone it to the left. And now with the rounded rectangle tool, I'm just going to create a nice little round. It wrecked and go. That should be fine. And what I need to do right now is I need to align all these guys in relation to our main shape psychologist. Select this guy, this guy and this guy. So I'm selecting the talk ellipse, this runner wrong rounded rectangle, My God, this rounded rectangle and, of course, the background. And I'm gonna click on the background again to make it our key object, cause I want toe a line thes elements in relation to our background. So now in the align panel, I'm just gonna align them to the center like that, and I'm gonna move this guy ing to the left, just like so. So let me see what it looks like. I think it looks fine. Okay, so now what? What? I will do it. I will just cologne this guy all the way down here and make it bigger. So in some, it looks like a button and actually is like a button like home. But I think that should do it. And yet we got our smartphone created, but we still are lacking a few things. I mean, we are lacking these buttons to the left and one bottom to the right. And what I will dio is I'm gonna create them with the rectangle tool. But I will do that in the next video. 3. Smartphone pt2: in this video, we're going to create the bottoms, and we are gonna give proper colors to our design. So let's start with the buttons. I'm going to zoom in a bit. So the right Rallo. So with so with the rectangle till I'm just going to create a But just like that, it should be fine. And I'm gonna move to the right and send it all the way to the back. Now, I will just close down to somewhere here and extend it like that. I'm gonna just clone and down again to something like this. So now this guy will go to the right like that, and yeah, and there we go. We got our bodies created. So now what we have to do is we have to give proper collar star designed. So first of all, I'm just going to make it black. Simple black, my thes elements. These bottoms are gonna be white. Or maybe let's make them just slight, slight gray and without a stroke. And these guys are going to be black as well without any stroke. What's the weather whatsoever? Okay, so what we have to do that you make make this guy have no stroke and beatus off white collar. So the almost well, almost the last thing to do here is to add this shading right here. So for me, the easiest way to do this kind of facts is to simply copy and paste this guy in front. And with the this top left anchor points selected, simply remove it, er in the control panel. And now we can make it a bit darker, just like that. And the really Maybe You know what? I think that these bottles are bit They're sticking out of it. So I'm just gonna move them to the right and this guy to the left. Yeah. Perfect. Okay, So I'm just gonna make these guys smaller and create a create a rectangular, elliptical background. Make it green like that. And there we go. We got our design created. So definitely comment on this design. Tell me if you like it to post a discussion in the discussion board. If you want some more, I comes on. Do you have a nice design and have a nice day 4. Bird icon pt 1: So, Asper, your request actually asked for a Sharon's request in our discussion board. In this video, we are going to create a flat design. Pat Aiken. Will a bird Aiken to be exact? And would you believe that I've created this? I can't that we are going to create this I can mainly, but with the with the Ellipse tool and I mean this main shape. This body of the bird was created within the lips on feather, of course, the eyes but the beak and the tail that we're all created with an ellipse. Of course, the legs were not created within the lips, but I think that that's kind of obvious. So without 30 redo, let's create the icon. And of course, we're going to start with greed and and your art board, and we already know how to do it. So I'm just going to go to at the Art Abort Tool, and I'm just going to click on the yard abort. I can like so and just create an art bored with the same exact dimensions as the previous hardboard. And in the layers panel. I'm just going to click cult or option if you wanna make create new layer. I come and I'm gonna name it as bird. Yeah, and I'm gonna look the original layer. Okay, So what I want to do right now is I want to start with a simple ellipse, and I'm going to draw it with the Ellipse stool just like that. It doesn't have to be big. It can be something like this. They should do it. And what I want to achieve right now is I want to create this this edge, this rear end of the bird out of I don't know, the technical term for it. So I'm just going to go it. I'm gonna the left edge of the bird. Okay? Like that. So I'm gonna just select move with direct selection to the left ankle point. And here in the control panel, I'm just gonna hit convert selected anchor points to corner like that. Of course, we could use the convert anchor point as well, if you wanted to as the same thing, basically. And now, with direct selection tool, what I want to do, they want to just drag to the left and a bit too a bit up to somewhere somewhere here. This should do it. And I think we're already starting to see what what we are going to achieve right now. We are already building this whole shape. So right now, of course, I need to just adjust with the direction handles the curvature of the off the bottom part of the body off the bird to something like that. And with this direction handle, I'm gonna move it down. And just a bit. Yeah, this should do it. This looks that this looks all right. Of course, we could spend the whole afternoon tweaking these direction handles tweaking this anchor point. And you could do it if you won't be my guest. If you want to tweak these guys, just just just tweak them. Just create your flat icon and share them in the discussion board. It really makes me happy. So let's so let's continue creating our bird. As you can see on the back of the birdies, a bit more is but more slightly dented than than the original. But that's okay. We are the designers and we decide what's what. What's cool and what's not eso. What I want to do now is I just simply want to scale this guy down. And I want to scale it uniformly off course to around 40 maybe 30%. 35. And of course, I want to hit copy just like that to have the failed due to have the feather that I'm gonna move it somewhere a year. This should be fine. And all that's left to do in this video are the eyes. And of course, we are going to create them within the lips as well. So I'm just gonna create one ellipse copy and paste it in front and maybe scale it this time. Just like that. Make sure that it has the proper Phil, not the stroke, not the stroke, just like that. And maybe I'll move it slightly up. Yeah, this should do it. Okay, So in the next video, we're going to create a the tail and the beak, Of course, the legs and the background. So if you're interested, keep watching 5. Bird icon pt 2: in this video, we're going to create a as promised that the tail and the beak and we are going to do to do that to achieve that effect with our feather. So I'm just going to clone it down and rotated Teoh by holding down the shift key and maybe scale it just a bit down to something like So maybe let me zoom in a bit. Okay, So what I want to do here is I wanna reflect and copy this guy. So I'm going to just go to the reflected by pressing the O and the enter on the keyboard. Of course, you'd go for Oh, and return if you were on a Mac. And if you are on a Mac and I wanna reflected vertically and I want to copy this guy just like that, let me move this one bit to the right. And what I will do right now is I want to rotate it still ever so slightly, maybe like this, and move it to the right just like that. And I will maybe. Or maybe we'll make this guy bigger. Not that guy smaller too. I think they should do it and maybe moved is getting a bit to the right and we'll have to do is we have to reflect again. But this guy on the left and we have to reflect it vertically and we have to copy it just like so. But I'm pretty sure you already knew was gonna happen and reposition this guy a baby like that. This should be fine at all. That's left. To do right now really is to add colors and I don't want it to have I don't have a stroke. I wanted to have it, Phil, and I'm gonna make it. Maybe maybe this blue collar and this guy's gonna because Dark blue, Of course, I don't want that. I would want to stroke and this guy's gonna be through this blue without the stroke. I think it needs to be the start of this. This lighter, maybe blue. Yeah, this should be fine. That's fine. So, really, all that's left to do now is to maybe you rotated just bits, make it a bit smaller, move it where it needs to go like that. And now to create big is as easy and as simple as simply you know, these guys to just clone. But with these thes parts of the father to the right like that, and I will just rotate it, make it a bit smaller. And I wanted this Ah, that this darker part of the big to be on the bottom. So I will just select all these guys. I will reflect them. And now I will rotate them again like something like so and maybe make them just a bit smaller. Yeah, that should you find. Okay, So now let's create the legs. And it's gonna be a easiest just creating with the line segment tool, one leg like that. And since I want to let me just give it a nice a nice stroke and of course, maybe let's make them black. That's making black. And since I of course, I need them, the the claws right now and I don't created with the panel, I will just create it with the rectangle. Told to something like that, I will just select one of the anchor points and lead it. And now I can be sure that my legs are completely in proportion, that they are really, really All right now let me just make. But it's smaller to something like this. Rotated that. This should be fine. Now, group. These guys reflect them. Of course. I need to copy them. Move them somewhere. Here, Maybe to the left. Of course, you need to go all the way to the back. And all we have to do right now is to really just just give this guy proper collars. So his father is going to be this darker blue. It's getting darker than the body, which is going to be this collar. And, of course, good distance to go all the way to the bottom as well. And there we go. We got a bird created, of course, all all we have to I mean, to finish the whole effect off, we just need to create in the lips. That's gonna be our background and put it all the way to the back. And there we go. We got our bird selected. Maybe. Let's just get rid of the stroke here and there we go. So, comment on this design tell me what you think. Of course. Definitely post your your variation of this design, your concept, your your ideas on how to maybe improve this design. How to play around with it on Definitely have to have some fun with this design. So have a nice day and see you in the next video.
