1. Introduction: Welcome to this. You'll be learning how to use your lecturing on transparency. Now, why would you want to do that? I really justice idea. Floating frames and they can see how beautiful the shadow it against the wall. My name is Joy and he execute through specific parts of the press play and this play process. So you learned how to select the right kind of tools and supplying to be able to infuse your lettering onto this home decor item bitches. Transparency off Roading brings. There's no prerequisites for taking this class. I'll be using the faux calligraphy magnet, but you can use your own style lecturing in this project. So come on, Johnny. I can't wait to see inside. 2. Prep: Cleaning Your Transparency Film And Choosing Your Floating Frames: Let's get to the two thieves cleaning and choosing well, that's gonna be a zero in the scale, as I don't they'll be very much cleaning if it's a new frame, or that's a new transparency that you're gonna be using at the very most. You can take a micro fiber cloth, and you can wipe the pain so that it is free off your finger pins. He choosing for this words ongoing project. You will need to get a floating frame that has glass panes on both sides. So if I want to just turn this, you can see there is to, um, pains here, one for the back and one for the front. The frame also needs to have some depth. If you can see here, there is some deck here from the front to the middle and also from the back to the middle. So when you have some death, when the words against the wall, you can see lovely shadows, and that's what our what's on Wings project is gonna be before we start. Remove one of the sheets of glass pane. Take the top one. Be very careful because it's glass, and then take your transparency film. Put your pain there and then the whole thing you just cut according to the size of your pain. When you get something like this which is just the same size, I feel glass peen. 3. Drafting Out Your Design On Paper: before you thought to do your lettering on the transparency film itself, you might want to do a few drops. So I did a few and I saw that Hey, I actually like how this sampled the are can be the same shape as the and so I thought I based the whole thing on this as she s so I didn't try thinking about Should I put some leaves show put some uhm flourishing and I decided that I'm just gonna do a running person s such Yes. So this is going to be my final piece that may be interested to know why I wanted to write this particular phrase run into space. This is a philosophy I had when I was 18. I was playing field hockey, and my coach always tells us that, you know, on the field, we don't always run foldable because everyone will be running for the ball. But your role is to find a good position so that your teammate can pass you the ball and then you can help the skull. What does he need to create space? You need to create opportunity using you to put yourself in a good place, you need to learn as much as you can and create space for yourself so that you can score your own goals. So your own personal calls. That's one off my philosophies. And I thought, you know, I just want to share it with you. As you can see, I also meet a couple of fools. Luckily, my frame is the squares is quite easy to scale it up. So when I fall my final draft, I noticed that Hey, my, you and my A in the middle Space is just sitting at the middle line. And though that helps me to be able to put this proportionally when I transfer it to another piece of paper So now they're transferred to skills. So I'm just gonna put this to the site, and then I'm gonna have another piece of people, and you can see that I draw a square. And this is the same size as my actual transparency. Yes. So I'm gonna be transferring this design to this piece of people for something off the size , and I want to do the brush lettering style. Um, this is this frame. It's about seven inches, 7.5 inches. And so, um, the best brush size for this particular size off the frame is going to be the Lache fresh prince itis and the largest that I have our recommend. These two you can use the outline sticks. All those ache for Dave. Yuri, um, it This is just my own personal preference, right? So I'm both of them are off a good size for this particular project. I just want to share with you how different they are. Be. So this is the outline sticks. And this is the peak. Yeah. So they're both black. Okay, you can That the zeke is a lot more flexible for the outline sticks. They're both go to use if you're first. Starting out the outlines sticks would be a good one if you're still figuring out the pressure off, you know, fixin things on gwen too. Half greater pressure on your down stroke went to life, Not the pressure on you up straw. So I think at line is a good pen to start off with. But I also like the food February. It is very flexible now, having once you are more familiar with the varying precious. I think you can go ahead and get for February. Really divided up my paper into four. Just so I know where the middle parts are referring back to my original draft, I can see that my you is gonna be somewhere in the middle of my aides. Could be somewhere in the middle, so I'll just take note of that when I write in this piece he for, um, block lettering. I do find it easy. If you are not doing brush lettering, I would do you first and I'll do the other letters. But I find it more difficult when I'm doing brush lettering, toe do the you and then to do the hour on the other side. So I'm just gonna take reference from the middle lines that already folded. I'll step for my own. There's a growing down stroll, increase the pressure and then as you're turning, they did not the pressure. And so you can get your kicks in. I know that my s is gonna be just underneath my are in order to seem looking at my draft. It's thought somewhere a buff, the middle line. So again, like pressure as a turning get rate increases pressure and, like, not best time, right, So you can catch up. But I'm worried is just a drop. Yes, I just got to do this really quickly. So I know that for my end, I'm gonna have this very long stroke, but I'm going to write that into and then I didn't have my p filling up the space. I went into space. Okay? And then I'm gonna have my running person, so it looks something like this Thin stroke in strokes. He then down wets for motion down, stroke, pick down stroke Dean upstroke and then increase the pressure. Yes. So I'm really making use off my, um the flexibility of my brush pen tip, then going to a circle. Hey, we're gonna just have some motion to show its person money. 4. Play: Selecting Pens To Use: Why can't I just do it on the transparency using my app sticks or using my vic? The reason is because there's a very high water content, Um, in these things for these What? The base pens. So you can see that if I were to draw on my transparency film, there's not gonna be crisp lines. Yeah, you that. So you can see there's a little bit off feathering and the lines are not gonna be filled in very well. Yeah. So let's compare this with the outline. Sticks. Yeah, again, You can see that it's not as opaque as it is on paper. So because of that, when you are writing on your transparency film, you can use a permanent marker. I have a zebra prominent MCA. This books he compared to this is the speak. This is the outline sticks, and we compare it with the zebra coming in. Marker can see There. It's a solid black. Hey, um, this is, uh, transparency film. So I think one good option is, uh, you know, HP Penn Anderson is permanent. Gin is a solid black. He Well, if you don't have these two okay. In other Detroit's everyday you the deco color so we can use that. You don't have to. Hey, it can be esten or because you want. If you put more pressure, will be thicker. Actually, you can use any of these choices. So not sick, not stakes, but any of these pens, which is the stability OHB pen this zebra. Put a pen any permanent pen. The difference between these two and your deco kulla is your deck of color dust. Give us a sort off of race surface and southern texture because it's a paint pen. Yeah, so, um, it does give and or pick black just like the rest. I never use the deco color, but you can use any prominent market that you have. 5. Play: Lettering On Your Transparency Film: what you gonna do now? If they gonna put your transparency film, which you already cut on top of the people and you're use the people s a reference. So I'm gonna be using my deco color, remember to shake it, and I am just going to draw on top off the paper. You just make sure that they line up, you start with the man first, but the thing doesn't come out, then just chief the ankle off your just going through the outline, cultivating well, quickly. Because otherwise there might be streaks. Make sure that there are no gaps. He checked with a happy. Okay, I think we're good. I'm gonna finish the rest off this and I'll show you what looks like. As you can see, it already finished my r and my f and also my local something I want to share with you is, um you know, if you are right handed, you may wanna work from left to the right. So if the pain Dr you've been moving this way, I don't know. I assure you this because if you're left handed, then you will finish up the site first, and you work from your right to your left so that your hands will not accidentally smudge the pain. If you're walking from either left, right or we're working from right to left, I'll be doing space together with you. So peace. Make sure that this is already dry. If you are right handed the work quickly so that there are no streaks off the pen. And the thing is, it's kind of ironic because you do have to walk quickly so that they know streaks. But at the same time, if you write too quickly, Um, because this site will give glass right? So because the transparency film is so smooth, if you're not careful, you're a pendant made skit and then it's going to for your design you wanted to me see in my e Okay, so now take this, people, we and you're just feeling the thicker down strokes The key, my friends, what you already have? I didn't put a down stroke for me, P. That's too thin, thinker. Okay, so now that you have this, we are going toe color in the gap because I'm right handed. I am working from my left to my right. He living Oh, my down strokes. So, you know, this is what I did. Waas. I actually had the outline done first so I can have control over whether I think hey, is the down stroke to say, Is it too thin? And I can redraw them later. Hey, and then I see you tell it my feet is too e. Maybe it needs a little bit more cough. Okay, So you can see it's such a deep like and there's gaps. I can go ahead and fill it. You can see them. It helps to have, um, really following colored background might white the way 1/2 here has even to see that, um, where the gets are where the ink didn't reach really quickly. You see, the ink is a very, very opaque black. Okay, so now you see that you have already filled in your down stroke. You might want to see if you want to go over your upstroke. Do you think that it needs to be allergic so you can do it now, baby needs a bit more car. Yeah, I think I'm happy with this. I'm gonna leave the ink to dry, and we will put this into our floating frame in a while. 6. Display: "Words On Wings Shadow Effect" Home Decor: the deck of color usually doesn't take very long to dry. You might want to just gingerly touch it and see whether it is perfectly dry. Once it iss we're gonna slide it into our floating frame like the glass panes out. But you're transparency, Philip in between and put given life being on top. This is also another good chance to white You're a sheet of glass again. So that is free off your finger pins, Mickey. And once you're ready, can flight it back in. Hey, they go. I'm gonna show you, But the shadow if it looks like to make this into what's with wings? Okay, friends, I realized that it's not very easy to film glance, however everyday put up this floating frame. But the words on wings transparency sheet up against a wall, and I hope that you can see the shadow effect. It's quite hard to texture on film, but the greatest effect can be seen on the running man here. Can you see where we have the running man logo? And on the left, you'll see a little bit off a shadow. Actually, you can see the shadow, um, in real life, Uh, the same shadow appears. For all the words, it's just that it's not very easy to capture it on film. It's a day you have it, what on wings with its shadow effect. So I hope you enjoy this to Tora on lettering on transparency film. 7. Your Class Project And Thank You: Hi again.
