Project Description

Catching and Replacing Dead Verbs

In this project, I want you to take a page from a piece of writing  either your own or an article from a newspaper or magazine. On the page, search for forms of the dead verb "to be" (is, are, was, were, am). Then cross out those verbs when you find them. Second, write a replacement concrete verb above each instance. If you need to rewrite the sentence, feel free to do that.
