About This Class

Welcome to my kitchen! This is one of my favorite dish to make and eat! It's for those hungover mornings or lazy afternoons. Here I'll be showing you how to create the most simple and delicious Hong Kong style instant noodles two ways. The first one is the traditional style in broth and the second one is the stir fry version. This is sort of like fast food in Hong Kong where everyone goes into many of the cafes either for breakfast, lunch or tea time. When you order this bowl of noodles, you'll definitely need to try either their milk tea or ice lemon tea to go with it! I'll also be showing you the ingredients, tips and tricks to make this process very easy to follow.

1. Introduction: - Hi , everybody. Welcome to my kitchen. Thank you for joining me today. I would like to show you how to make Hong Kong style instant noodles two ways. The first way is with the traditional broth soup base. I'm sure everyone has their own interpretation of their bowl of instant noodles. But today I would like to show you how I make my favorite full of it. And the second way that were doing ISS. I'll be showing you how to make stir fried. The survey version is actually my favorite. My husband and the kiss. They like the instant noodles in the rock, but I like mine in the stir fry. I normally just, uh, used leftover vegetables. Meat I have the night before. So in the walk stir fry with the noodles and yeah, easy peasy I might go to dishes is always something that I would like to use. I like to use simple ingredients, ingredients that are just really easy to find nothing too complicated. Everyone can do it and that you can have it any way you like. So let me tell you a little bit of the Hong Kong style why I chose Hong Kong style instead . How come someone sandals is Everyone's pretty much go to dish when they have no time to go for lunge or they miss breakfast? Well, they only eat that during teatime and time in Hong Kong is very huge. Time T time in Hong Kong is from two PM to four. So normally, when you sit down phase yeah, there's not a lot of there is a lot of food courts, but they're Hong Kong is mostly famous for their capital because they have, like, they love to drink their milk teas and their lemon lemon iced tea. Lemon, I see, is my favorite, so you'll sit there. You just have, like, your bullet in Sununu does, and you're either your iced coffee, milk tea or your ice lemon tea. But you know our it'll be very delicious. Okay, so let's get cited. I'll see in the next video 2. Ingredients: Okay, So before we get started, let me introduce you to some of the ingredients that will be using the incidentals that I'll be using today. Is this brand? I don't know if you guys seen this incidentals before, but this one is very popular in Hong Kong. This is always what they use at the restaurants or their cafes. This brand of incentive does is very popular in Hong Kong. Remember this guy, this little boy in the face, Not only this one. So this instant noodles is just the sesame oil flavor. The spread carries a lot of different flavors. It's got the beef flavor has got the miso soup flavors chicken flavor. I'm pretty sure there's more, but this is the one that I'll be using today. For the video, I would do one package for each person. So pretty much one package per serving, half a couple here, So I'll be doing one for the soup and the other one is going to be stir fry. Okay, This Newdow, you can pretty much find it in every single Asian supermarket. It's everywhere. They're not too expensive. They're easy to find on. It cooks really well. Very easy. It cooks superfast. Just follow the package instruction. Most important thing is do not overcome your instant noodles because you don't want. You don't want it to be too soggy, too soft. But for the true love of instant noodles, you want to cook it, right? Not over cooking it. Okay, so remember, don't overcook this. So the second in green is I would like to use its eggs. Gotta have eggs. I won't be using the X with a Storify. I'll just be using the eggs for the suitcase. So, eggs, I have to hear on this ISS. The spam that I use is the Chinese brand. Um, I always buy this one because it's not too salty. I know. I'm pretty sure you can use any others. Family will still be Be good, but this is the spam that I just tried so many different kinds of span. This one I love the most is because it's not too salty. And when you fry, it gets it really nice and crisp, and this wouldn't send them back. This you can also, um I haven't seen this in any other regular school market, just mostly mainly in the Asian supermarket. You'll definitely be able to find that. But if you can, you can use whatever spam you like or any other meat. Hong Kong This is what they use. They have instant noodles with the eggs and the spam in the broth on. I have a bullish finish here. The Spanish will be for the stir fry. I like to have a little bit of vegetables in my stir fry. I'll still be using. So in the stuff I'll be using the noodles, the spab and the spinach just to make a little bit healthier. This is like the way I like to get my kids eat vegetables when they're eating. I know if they're eating something a little bit unhealthy, but the vegetables will well balance itself. So, yeah, I always just use finish because it's easy to find. Always have that in my fridge and my kids love it. And, of course, you can use any other vegetables. You can use broccoli. You can use green pepper, red pepper, green onions, anything So yeah, okay, so here are all the ingredients I'll be using. And yet let's start cooking 3. Hong Kong Style Instant Noodles In Soup: So let's start making the sick one. So as you can see my pen, it's getting pretty hot. When we turned on the heat, some on start Penn froth. Okay, Just like that pen. Fry that until it's golden brown. Okay, so right now we're gonna Pantai the span first kind tells Golden Brown and you can see here . I'm having my water here. See? You can see how quickly it brown and you can see my water is boiling over here. Okay, so you can tell that I'm just poorly. I'm just cooking the stamp. First I think of the new those because the noodles cooked so fast I didn't want to cook the new those first because you don't wanna have to need us to two soggy. So I would cook this, Sam. Hey, Trying time. Everything perfect. Oil hair Turn down the heat from the water. So I pushed the band to the side hair. And then when a crack two eggs in there. Okay, It's good to have a big pan, so you have room to to cook your spam and your egg at the same time. So you're not doing too many dishes. You're just doing a sunny side. I like to have the egg nice and Chris And then I just season there little bit. So I see is a little bit assault and then a little bit of pepper. Okay, my X flipping the spam over. So the spam here, this is what you want to get. You want to get it nice and golden crispy outside. Wait just a couple minutes on the eggs. You can have it however you like. I like it sunny side. Or you can have it over easy, whichever way you like. And then after the wanna see now that my spam is almost done, turn the heat down and then my aches pretty much good to go Turn a monkey for the water on time to cook the noodles You want to cook the noodles when you're your spam in your eggs is pretty much close to done because the noodles cooked so fast Hey, ask for the seasoning. I like to put pretty much the whole package and learned labeling could get Don't overcook the new does. I know I stressed that a lot, but you don't wanna overcook your incidentals because would not taste that good? Okay, turn up the heat a little bit more. You can see that. My spend? Yes. My spam is pretty much done. Just turned the heat up here waiting for the noodles. Okay, this looks about right. Okay, so that's pretty much good to go. Here's my bowl. Okay, So here's my bowl. So you had to play this. Put the noodles in. Hey, don't pour the soup in first. That egg I would do to pieces. Save the other two of you if you feel like you want more, and then just slowly pour the broth in. There you go. Okay. So here this my version of the Hong Kong style Instant noodles with sunny side eggs and to pan fry spam. Easy peasy. All right, that looks so good. There you go. So my vision of the Hong Kong style in citadel in broth with sunny site and Spab 4. Hong Kong Style Stir Fry: Okay, so first let's start opened this because I think there's Ah. Okay, so you open this on. Let's find that party hair just right here. Okay? Uses to push it up. So and then you just twisted open. Well, look here. This. Okay, so you take that out, and then I would just cut it in half. Hey, save this half for the soup and I'm gonna stir fry with this one. You just split that in half and then I'll just line them up halfs again. You can have it in strips or if you want. I like to have it in cubes. So easier to fry. Okay, so that's it. You just so you just slice it up like this fight. Uh, okay. So after you were gonna start frying it, okay, first turned up the heat really high on the pan. Some oil on. We're gonna fry our I like to find my family like I like to have it. Extra trips sold Really nice. Crisp on the outside by my smooth Just never have it on high That will get that really nice and golden and crisp Remember to have it on the high peaks So I'll get that, uh, Chris faster so you can kind of start seeing that start to pass is really nice. Reddish brown color to it, literally. Just takes a few minutes so you can start to see. That is because stuff a lot more. And then now that Did you see that? Okay, this is pretty much about what I want. And then you turn the heat down to mid high. Okay? Push it to the side, and then just have your noodles. I would like to add a little bit of oil, so it doesn't really stick to the pan very much. And when you open the instant noodle, it comes with these packages. Okay, So I I just use that I don't use the whole package. I just Sprinkle a little bit like you see that that's good enough. Do not use the whole package because it will be really, really salty. And most importantly, you have to use their sesame oil. This what makes it taste so good and so flavorful. Okay. And then you just very around a couple minutes, and then you add your spinach. If the pen gets too hot and the pain gets too hot at a little bit of oil to the edge there . Spam is already salty enough, so I don't put too much of the package seasoning for a little bit. I save the rest. This time is really salty, right? So you don't need to put too much in it. But if you do find it a little bit bland, then when you're eating it, just Sprinkle open Maurin the noodles and happy. Good. Hey, this looks about right. You don't want a fried too long, just right. So the vegetable is on and then you turn off the heat and then none of us put this in the ball so you can smell the sesame oil on the spam together and eat it while it's hot. Okay, so this is my version for the surf. I and I will see the next video for this. The Super 5. Final Thoughts: Okay, so there you have it. My Hong Kong style. Two ways. Instead, vetoes.
