About This Class

So you want to start hand lettering? Are you overwhelmed by all of the options that you see on Instagram from your favorite letterers?

There are so many options for hand lettering, but it's important that you choose what's best for you at the stage you're currently working through.

In this class, I'll explain the tools that I think are appropriate for a beginner. I'll discuss some of the most popular pens and brush markers as well as everyday tools you likely already have in your home.

The tools I reference in this class can all be found on Amazon:

Sketching Pencil

Crayola Markers

Tombow Hard & Soft Tip Set

Pentel Fude Touch

Tombow Dual Brush Pen

Canson Marker Paper

Tracing Paper

I am a beginner at calligraphy and wasn't sure what supplies to purchase. This was very helpful. On the plus side - Alyssa is left-handed. Yay!!!
This is a quick, easy to watch, informative lesson on pen differences and basics. I found it to be very helpful before purchasing my first pens.
