I think this is a great course, but I think some background information about typography/styles of lettering might be useful. Of course, the student could do research to accompany the project.
Great tips on how to approach a lettering piece as a graphic designer. Watching her full process leaves you with clear steps if you want to start your own project.
This class has you removed from depending on the computer. It will allow you to get into a good habit of doing things by hand and developing a keen eye for manual changes. This was a great class!
