1. Embroidery intro: e. My name is Floor. And in disclose, I'm gonna show you how to embroider on close. I'm going to show you how to make this poppy on your sweater and I'm gonna take you along with me from beginning till ends on how to do it. I think this is a nice way to turn an old sweater into a whole new sweater. It's a nen expensive way to create new clothes, and there's so many possibilities that you can do, and, um, it's really nice to show off what you made. 2. Placement of hoop: Hi and welcome to this class. We're gonna see. I'm gonna show you how to make. Did spot on its sweater. Um, you know, it's sitting with sweaters. This is a men's sweater, and we have a lot of them. We have a lot of fancy sweaters from my boyfriend that he doesn't fit anymore, and I don't have any fancy sweaters, so I like to use his fancy structures, but make it a little bit more pretty. And this is what were using it's salable fabric. You could see the Knowling below what it is. It's amazing stuff. I use it all the time for also when I'm just stitching on fabric just because it's really nice to trace its see. True. So you can easily trace something and you just wash it away. And it just fits true to who you go over it. Lovely stuff and social, not really expensive. So we're going to use that during a place to who under it. Make sure that it is. Yeah, tight not to decide. Not that you're stretching it, but just normal. No creases. It's difficult to do it, but I'm you know, I think it is more difficult with a T shirt to get it straight because it can be very stretchy. Depends on what fabric it is not if it's cotton without a stretch, so we're going to place it. It's like a little bit above the armpit. And then, yeah, and just put something something on your sweater to see where you would like to placement. Make sure that the back it's nice and smooth. I am and now try to, so it's difficult to get your hands underneath it. Jim Border so you can use clips or just roll it a bit of rounds in a way that you can easily, um, access the back. My advise is to just, um, use clips. I'm gonna show you how I do it. I use a stand so it's even difficult. But it's just a bit from Ling and doesn't really matter how it looks as long as you have the fabric out of the way 3. starting with the stitching: Okay, so this is the poppy. I from build it around my stand somehow, and we're gonna use we're going to start with a green. Um, it's a little bit more. It's a little bit different green that I showed you before because on the second, and I was like, Okay, it's really dark blue, and we need to show to green, so it's gonna be a little bit lighter, but you will see it here in the notes. So we're gonna go in, hold your back, tread you're still holding your back tread. They were going off a couple of centimetres Silver ling a tread and we're going in. That's the other stitch. Now you can let go to tread in the bag. We're going in and right in the middle of theater tread, you see, Then it gets to be, like a long even line. And I didn't Yeah, I'm not the best tracer, to be honest, So I'm also just sinking a little bit like, okay, because you cannot really a rig set. So I see there a line that I made that is not really dare that I'm not gonna use all the way down so you just go up and down in the other line. And because we now have little holes, you can also Yeah, I'm not that precise. But if you want to be really precise, Yunel should be like, OK, I'm going to use a tree. Dots, She going to do this older? Wait. So we had to itself. I don't worry about your tread that is being loose or anything. It will sort itself out of Italy under treads. And when you're at the end of your tread, you're just going to cut it off at the back and that's it. Nothing more. And then you're gonna start Richard utter tread the same as you did in beginning. So I'm not getting into second tread. And in beholding the end, putting it in between, - I'm gonna go to one of the branches or leaves. I did branches, sleeves. I was just gonna make a line all the way. It should it jump. No, that's not true. Sorry. Even first gonna make the first branch. Sometimes you also needs, like, make mix it up a bit. Otherwise, you just, you know, doing the same thing When I do it myself, then, um I will do a little bit of branch and a little bit of flower And, you know, because if you're busy with one thing too long and you get a bit sick of it, that's why I could never do, like, huge projects. I did, but not love, because it makes me not like it anymore. This is a fun project. Could do. It really doesn't take long and looks very fancy. Yes, you can choose. You have with this shorter lines. I just choose Teoh. Just go from one point to the other point and not, but it's sitting between surge. Really? Just from one point to the other point there. Okay, Sir Mbeki. Ken, I found if I built off the whole time, that is kind of the same things that I was saying. You can see that I'm just not the best in tracing shit. Looks a bit, um, fake. But for me, I know exactly what I have to do. That's the most important thing. You can always look. It's original image that you have 4. Leaves : Okay, I'm just gonna keep making this little branches. And here I am, like so maybe a little bits along to use one stitch. So I'm just going to do it in two parts. When in doubt, Always used to stitches. You see that? Sometimes I go with my needle in the branch in the other green, long line, and sometimes I don't soak your preference. - Okay , so we're halfway done now with the bridge. The green and I were going to go to Syria part of degree. 5. The middle of the flower with black thread: Okay, so we're gonna use two strands again. I'm gonna do it like demented I show before. So I'm going to use to strands treaded in one. You don't Does that make sense? Assured you before. Um And we're going to start on the side off the middle circle. You're gonna fill it in the holding and with black. And if you're familiar with embroidered and you know, just find your own thing that you like, how you like to fill it up Maybe you like to do satin stitch that this is how I like to do it cause I'm not really good certain Sitch she's just gonna repeat it, and we're gonna go older way around it. So and and in the other sitch, it's a pretty big round. But I was looking online for puppies, and I saw that they do have a pretty big black middle part. It looks nice in the end. And then I fought in the beginning. Maybe I should just something in the middle and different color, but I kind of I like the simplicity of just around circle and then, um, the other colors and again it is, doesn't need to be really, like, super neat or precise because especially the flowers and I challenge think like there, Darren on really precise, you know, in real life. So it doesn't really matter if it looks exactly the same or it's a perfect circle because it is not gonna be perfect circle. - So he's just going to repeat the process on this side J basically, yeah, going round and round it. And, as you know, if you guys would like it. But I fought. I'm also gonna make, like, a list that you can see we all my Amazon things that I, uh, have like this tend that I'm using for me is really handy. I'm not getting paid by Amazon. Buy it. So it really is my, uh, my choice what I use, um, but this standards just usually any. But it is really handy. As for filming, because it makes it look really stable and, um, than the focus, it's always the same. I don't know. I just really like to just have something there that I don't have to hold all the time. So it's nice to know, Hold something. It does make the whole thing go away from like, Oh, you condemn or to be anywhere because I'm in the in the train like I miss my step And it's also think if it is nice to stitch in public, but be around up people, always there will always be. People are like, really interesting what you're doing when it's questions just really cool. I think that's really nice, always because I just Sometimes I just don't talk and I want to put my hand foods in and then just stitch. But because I'm from the Netherlands, it's always like, Oh, that's so cool. Only know like people who do the little crosses and what's a bit of an ego trip. Always it's I can like it. See that it doesn't really matter where you go with your needle. It's just black, sir just needs to be filled in. How you really do it Doesn't matter. Well, you know, there are limits to what is acceptable, but overall doesn't really matter. So I'm going into the middle because when I'm done, then I also see like Oh, it's not completely filled and I can just, you know, afterwards, Fillol the things in. So I'm just gonna leave you to it. But this Andi almost done and there were going to to read the bread is seriously the color of the red is 666 I knew what fun it was funny. So we're gonna I'm gonna see you back with 666 6. Stitching the red part: because you were gonna continue with the 666 two strands and I was starting at the middle with our needle and then a couple centimeters away from the black. And we're going to do long and short stitches show. You're gonna make a short one, a long one and doesn't have to be next each other because we can. We'll do that. It's end a little bit. You go pretty far to the end, make sure you're pretty close to the black because I made a mistake a little bit of not going close enough. So go in it. Almost of it. So you gonna go next to each other and long, long and short. - The spacey hike around, long insured next to each other. Except for this run, this one is going to be a little bit longer because it see, like the end of the de pedal. Sure, you just going to make a full line? And there was his warming short stitches. - So here I'm doing the same. Gonna make a long stitch. I am going in and they're never going to complete this section because it's not long enough . I didn't like long, short long shirt, but we're going to do that again. S also could have been a long one. See how cushy go to the black. A long one in between. I just said that you don't see any, um, fabric in between the stitches surely fill it up. And if you like Oh, I'm going too far. I'm covering up Too much of a flower doesn't matter, because with the other color, you can just go over it. It's better to have too much of one colored into little because you can always cover up. You can always add. I mean, whatever it's embroidery, you can mess up a much you want. That's what I did. I think if you see my instagram, please uh, the 1st 1 But it I do. But like needle painting, I figured it. If fox I went Really? I went all way deep in it. I was No. I'm going to sit your flowers like straight away an animal. It took me 30 hours, 10 of those around picking long shirt. I always amazed me because it's like when I because I'm you know, also filming it and, um, writing stuff down and I want to say, But just important part is not that much sign to make you know, just a shredder look nice or no? If you can spend, like, a long time on ah, on the spreader address, you could make something really pretty. Also, it is a good zip coloring books, coloring books for adults. Great, great to trays and silicate inspiration for flowers. And if you don't want to sell it, But it's just for you'd And you can also just really trace it. Okay, so the other two petals were gonna be You have the same thing. Um, So I'm gonna leave you to it and stitched up. If you have any questions ever, please contact me, please. Or also, when you're like, this is just ridiculous class. So I have no idea what I'm doing or anything. Let me know. Give me feedback. Or if you have questions, anything. So I'm just gonna leave you to it now, remaining this read and then I will see you next. Video 7. Stitching the orange part: Okay, so now we're going to start with orange. We're gonna do ST Sing. We're just gonna squeeze it in between the other more stitches. So you're basically going in the other stitch and yields. We're gonna make it long, short like this. Go in, See? And now you see that you can no sugar, like, pretty far back. So if you feel like, oh, I'm put a little too much red, you see that? It doesn't really matter, because you can go as far as you want back and show as much pink over as much red as you want. This primal should going pretty, um, far with the orange, because the other color, we're going to use really light orange. I don't want a used too much of that. So this will enable me to use it, Do you to use too much or not? Do not go too far with it. - Okay ? I don't know what happened here, but I'm gonna fix it really soon. Yeah, here we are. The pair of you guys are gated. I'm not talking to the whole video because it's so long and we're basically doing the same thing she had at the shirt did stitches air Really tiny. We're almost so It's orange CNN as a blood blood. So nice, isn't it? Because poppies are not really Well, you do have some also in orange, like really light orange. But I kind of like this likes a red orange, so the last part is delight orange. 8. Stitching the light orange part: the last color on that is orange ish. And we're just gonna go from the the line, the pencil line todo orange bit the dark orange. So this is like filling it up and make sure that everything is covered. You don't want to go too far into the dark orange bit because otherwise you don't see the the the lighter orange anymore, So make sure you make the stitches short, but you do want to have a little bit, um, you do want to have a little bit of for your for your piratey. Okay. Some English words are still, like, a bit of a challenge, but you know what I mean? So that you have ah, still after long and short stitches that it blends in nicely. And at this point, you don't have to bury that. You know, I'm not exactly on the line, or you can still sees Ben so bit. Don't worry, because that doesn't matter. It's going to be washed away anyway, so I'm just going to skip the bottom for because I My my camera got a bit Wigley and you're almost about to not see this stitches anymore. So I'm just gonna drop that part and see the top off the orange stitches going to show you that. Okay, so now I've done already a bit because my cameras out of focus and night Now I have it more up. So I felt the social. Nice wager. They could see from a different angle. Be more up. This probably more how you see it. Yeah. You do have to pull a bit much at some point, and we're done almost so. Make sure that you don't see any, um, fabric in between. It's filled up nicely, and then we're going to go and you the most from part of all and washing off the fabric. 9. Cutting the fabric: Okay, so now we're going to do most from part, in my opinion, So we're gonna get it out of the hoop, and we're going to go to the back. But I always do. I embroidered on clothes law, and I even put it in the dryer. The washing machine well, not does, because its rule. But, you know, I and it always stay seat it. But if you want to be sure, you have, like, these, um, interface, uh, these fabric things that you can put on it. And you Can I run it? And then it's stage that you have a badge behind it. Um, I will put the link in the notes here, but what I'm going to do first is I'm gonna take a scissor. I cannot fight my embroidery scissors. So I'm gonna use the fabric scissor, and I'm just gonna cut away all the long parts. I am. Jo Dong got too much away. Give it a fold of fluff. Turn it around and look, there it is. Now I am going to find my importantly scissors because I needed a tiny scissors. I wasn't gonna caught as much as we can rate from the flower the fabric, Because when you gonna wash it, you gonna put water in it. It is gonna be a little bit mushi. It is like sticky stuff, so you don't want to have as you might have a little assed possible. Also, it's nice to just, um, we'll keep whatever you have over shaking user for a different project. So I'm gonna cut a little bit more away with tiny scissors. - Yeah , I'm not gonna cut of it more off. It's much. Is we? Can they live of more? I'm always a bit paranoid because I'm afraid to cut in the fabric in the sweater, So I'm gonna leave. It's here. You want to cut as much as ways possible, but not as much that you're like that, you know you're gonna ruin it. And now we're gonna go to the washing part 10. Washing the fabric: Okay, so this is the last spark we're gonna show, Kit. We're gonna take our fabric. And what I do is I put a little, like, drop a drop of it like a really tiny drop because it is sticky stuff. And we're just gonna, you know, do this in the sink. I mean, I'm doing this because it looks pretty for the camera and to be honest, but a dude in sync or just put it on her tits app. That's actually better idea. Okay, so I'm just gonna let it so Well, okay. Not really. I'm also after him turning video off. I'm gonna rinse set under its AB and runs a little sweater out. So you should do that on with a tiny bit of dish Russia ship, and then you let it dry and taut off. Look at that. That looks pretty. That looks really pretty. I love it. I hope you like this class. And I'm really excited to see what you all made. Um, if you run in any problems or whatever, tell me and, uh, i'll be gladly glad to help you out. Hope you enjoyed it.
