Project Description

Your Project

  1. Download the course files, either from the 'attached files', or the Github repo for this course.
  2. Download a code editor
The difference between the editors is trivial at the beginner level so just pick the one you like. I personally use Visual Studio code at the moment, but I have used and enjoyed all of the following: Atom, Sublime, Visual Studio Code
  3. Set up your folder structure - create an index.html file at the root level, and then folders for styles and images. Create a main.css file, and include the normalize.css file provided.
  4. Create a ‘Hello, World!’ page
  5. Write your markup and style each section:
    - Navigation
    - Header
    - Portfolio
    - About
    - Contact
  6. Add animations and customisations to your project
  7. Review each section and make responsive adjustments using media queries
  8. Deploy your site using bitballoon to see how it would perform on the internet (optional).
  9. Share your project! The best way to better your skills is to share your project with friends and the skillshare community to get their feedback.
