About This Class

Getting started with coding can be difficult and overwhelming but it doesn't have to be.

With this class, you will find a quick and straightforward entry point into the world of coding.

The core of this class is one lesson where I walk you through how to start from nothing, find your idea, clarify your message, and by the end of it, code up your own landing page.

But before that, I cover the basics and the knowledge that you would need if you are a complete beginner so that you can follow along with the coding lesson.

What you will learn:

  • What makes up a web page?
  • What are the three common pieces of every page on most websites?
  • How do you get started with coding HTML and CSS?
  • Where can you go to play around with code online?
  • Which editor should you use when coding?
  • How do you build a landing page from nothing?

HTML & CSS Basics in 15 Minutes: Learn Coding By Building Your Very Own Landing Page from Scratch

By the end of this class, you will have the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to build out web pages, and websites, and add a valuable asset to your tool belt of skills.

I've a little bit of experience of HTML & CSS but struggled to get something tangible of my own on the screen. I followed along & tweeked a few things (imported google fonts & used different colours) I found this an excellent & informative. I'd definetely recommend it to someone starting out and will happily take any further courses by JP!
Simple and easy to follow!
If the class is suppose to be for beginners (like myself) to coding. I think you should explain everything your doing. Some things you just did without explaining (when you where coding). Although, I do think you did a great job of telling what the three elements to every webpage are. I would love to take more of your classes because from just watching you I did learn a lot! Maybe make them a little longer than 15 mins.
