Hello, I'm Yadah!

I studied my butt off at an epic private college and racked up as many qualifications in the industry as possible. Then I spread my wings for a while, working in the spas on cruise ships before heading back home to pursue my real passion - education.

To me the spa & beauty industry isn't about fluffy superficial crap; it's about genuinely helping your clients have a better and healthier life.

I've worked directly with spas and salons, helping to improve the level of education of therapists at a one-on-one level. I've worked in multiple internationally accredited colleges and was even granted the opportunity to examine alongside a representative of the best of the best - CIDESCO.
After being offered the opportunity to open my own college by ... See full profile

To be honest, you don't even need a physical reason to have a hand massage. It's a lovely treatment to do on yourself friends and family. Or if your professional incorporated into manicures or while you kind is relaxing with a face mask, you give them an extra treats. A country indication means you should not massager kinds at all if they have broken bones in the lower arm or hand. If there are any obvious infections of the nails, hand or forearm, you don't want to risk spreading the infection or possibly passing something onto yourself . Oscar clients open into questions about anything you see or they feel. If you're unsure any stage about whether or not to proceed, rather stop completely. Better safe than sorry 4. 4. Step 1 - Effleurage: the first step in your hand massage treatments is called ifl araj. It is but the beginning and end of a massage and introduces your clients your touch. And if LaRoche is also used to spread the massage medium over the area, you'll be working in a stroking movement with flat hands you can follow along in your step by step guide will be starting with the clients right hand, which should be on your left. Apply a chosen massage medium to your hands and rub them together to warm it before gently taking their right hand with yours as if you're going to greet them. Couple left hand over their fingers and firmly struck upwards towards the upper arm. Relax your pressure somewhat as you slide your hand under the elbow and guide back towards their hand along the side of the forearm. When you returned to their hand, hook your left thumb under their rights and usual grip to turn the hand around. Now, with your right hand on top of the palm, use your right hand to stroke firmly up their forearm and then glad gente back underneath hook. You write them in today's again and two in the hand around to the initial position. Once again, if the rush, your left hand and then you're right, here's another view of the same movement from the therapist perspective. - Practicing if garage on a friend or family member and get used to stop in your client's hand over using your thumbs. We're moving on to finger rotaries from here. 5. 5. Step 2 - Rotaries: next, we'll be doing rotaries on the fingers using our thumbs. Although simple movement, the frictions are incredibly relaxing. When done right, support your kinds, hand with your left and gently do for meritorious from the nail plate to the knuckle that joins the finger to the hand with your right thumb dragged back to the nail plate and put slight pressure before releasing and moving on to the index finger. So a pants for comfort supporting appliance hand in your right as if you're greeting or by sporting Marist. Here is the same movement, but on the other hand, note always still started that, um, and moved towards the little finger. - Another view this time from the therapist perspective, the rapes have been increased to three per finger here, as this client had rheumatoid arthritis and find hand massage shop. Sir, it's important to avoid pulling on the fingers when you're gliding back to the nail plates . You don't want to hear the knuckle click you own. You want to give a gentle stretch, practice your rotaries on a friend or family member and note their reaction when you get the rhythm and pressure just rides. After this will be moving on to mates, a couple drainage and then just foremost steps until you can do a complete hand massage. 6. 6. Step 3 - Metacarpal Drainage: in this step will be doing sweeping movements between the bones of the hand using our farms . This can be quite sense to for some people, so you'll need to check with your clients and show you aren't hurting them. Cut the hand with your fingers underneath and thumbs on top, using your thumbs sweet from the base of the fingers towards the wrist between the bones. Alternator thumbs so that each sweep three times with a total of six before moving on is the same movement from the therapist perspective. Practice this movement on yourself so that you can accurately gauge at what pressure you feel. Sensitivity in practice on a family member or friend from here will be moving on to palm affection. 7. 7. Step 4 - Palmar Frictions: This is one of the most relaxing parts of the massage for your clients. Turn your clients hand over so that they promise facing upwards. Hook your little fingers under the thumb and little finger to open up their palm and support their hand with your fingers underneath, using your thumbs to deep crisscrossing frictions over the palm, alternating your thumbs. This isn't a fast movement, but rather slow and deliberate next to small up and down frictions from the base of the fingers to the wrist and back. Finally, drag your thumbs from the base of the fingers through the middle of the palm towards the wrist. Then using the signs of your thumbs, drag outwards to the sides of the hand as if you're breaking a biscuits. This provides a nice stretch for your clients. Here's another view from the therapist perspective. You'll see rosaries have been added in the beginning, rather than the biscuit break at the end. Take your time practicing this movement practice hooking their fingers so that it seemed less rather than awkward and see which of the friction combinations feels most natural for you to use. The rotary is criss cross up and down frictions or the biscuit break. I personally tend to use the rotaries, crisscross and biscuit break together from here will be moving on to risk manipulation. And then it's the final two steps of the massage. 8. 8. Step 5 - Wrist Manipulation: in this lesson will be manipulating the wrist joints. Support their wrist with your right hand. As you lace the fingers of your left hand with theirs, gently push their hand back towards them, then down towards the floor in gently rotate the hand one way and then the other. Here's the same movements. On the other hand, note my hands have swapped so that my left hand is supporting and right hand is laced with days. Another perspective from the therapist. Here the rest of rotated three times each side to aid with mobility. For this client, it's important not to force the movements. Each person has their own limited flexibility, and you want to gently encourage a stretch, not hurt your clients. With this movement, it's common to have a client try help but flexing and rotating the hands themselves. In this case, smile and remind them to relax and enjoy being pampered during a massage and leave it all up to you. Practice on yourself and on someone else until you're comfortable with the technique. After this, we have one more movement to learn. Before the final EPL a rajah 9. 9. Step 6 - Forearm Rotaries: four arm is often neglected. So here we're going to give it some TLC. Hold your clients. Hand with your right as if you're greeting them. Then with your left thumb on top and fingers below, do deep rotaries with your thumb from the wrist up the forearm. Glad back down and repeat the movement twice more on your final Glad back. Hook your left thumb under these and turn the hand over. Now, using your right hand, do the same rotaries up from the wrist to the elbow and glad back to repeat toe are small. On your final time of reaching the inner, Elber used the side of your thumb to drain the EPA. Truckee, a lymph node found a before planning back to the hand. Here is the same movement on the other arm and another view from the therapist demonstrating the movements are new ones. That inner arm can be quite sensitive, so take a to watch your client for any reactions or indication that they planned your pressure. Uncomfortable practices movements on a friend or family member until you're comfortable with the switch and Albert drainage. Ah, last movements is coming up and then you're done 10. 10. Step 7 - Final Effleurage: I am straight. This movement should look familiar since he started with that six steps ago. Once you've finished your forearm rotaries and AP truck Clear drainage, glad back down the hand and turn it around to hold with your right hand in the greeting position with your left hand over their fingers. Do a firm stroke up the arm sliding under the elbow and Gladding back to repeat with your right hand and then you left and then you're right again. Cover the arm and hand once you've done and move on to the other. Another view off the final garage. That's it. You're done. You now know it's simple but effective massage to treat friends and family or to incorporate into your spy and salon treatments. Practice the full sequence, making sure that your transitions between the steps flow together 11. 11. Final Project Reminder: I hope you're excited to be done putting it all together, my team a bit confusing at first.
