About This Class

Do you know why so many adults feel they draw like a fourth grader? Because that is when they stopped drawing! Somewhere around those 4-5th grade years, we begin to realize that we can be, are, or will do it wrong. As we become adults, we lose the desire, time, or drive to draw for the sheer joy of it.

Join this class and I guarantee you will develop your drawing skills beyond that fourth grade level.

Trees are one of my favorite things to draw. They each have their own personality. The drawing below is the weeping cherry tree that was outside my front window.

What Will You Learn?

  • How to improve your observational skills
  • Understand different grades of drawing pencils
  • Understand the structure of trees
  • How to shade effectively
  • Use reference photos

Mixed Media Artist and Creative Explorer

I've been an artist and teacher for over 30 years. Yikes! That's a long time, eh? Well worth every single minute. I love teaching and bringing the joy of creating to those who think they can't. You know who you are, 'can't draw a stick figure' come to mind?

My classes are easy to follow, full of encouragement with a dose of challenge, and based on my many years of teaching drawing, painting, collage, and bookmaking classes.

I'm a signature member of the National Collage Society...
