Project Description

The ultimate goal for this course is to create a flyer or postcard to promote your business, organization, event, product, or class.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

ASSIGNMENTS

You'll upload your process and final, printed piece to the project area. Your assignments will be:

  • Choosing a CTA and answering your Who, What, Where, When, Why's, and How
  • Uploading rough sketches
  • Choosing how and where you'll print your postcard
  • Uploading screenshots of your work in progress and final design
  • Uploading a final photo of your printed postcard/flyer

Remember, I'm here to help and guide you! The reason I made this class is to help people, so asking questions and getting feedback is also an assignment :)

OTHER RESOURCES

Fonts
- I show you how to use Typekit in this class (they have free and paid fonts). I also like to use Creative Market and dafont.com for my projects.

Images
- I'm a fan of Creative Market for cheap images, textures, graphics
- I love Unsplash for free images (I almost don't want to tell you about them cause I want to hoard all of the images for myself. Haha.)

Online Printers
- My fave is MOO
- If you need to use a mailing service too, but don't have a big list check out uprinting.com or vistaprint.com

Extras
- Keyboard shortcuts are the secret sauce to an effecient workflow in your project and program. They take practice but soon they'll become muscle memory and you'll be dancing through your projects instead of stumbling. I made you a cheat sheet of my top ones to get started with here.
